Back at firehouse

Severide's
I see the ambo pull back in so I get out of my seat at the squad table and walk over. "hey babe how are you?" I ask "I'm good tired but good." she says as she leans into me. " go lay down in my office if you're tired. I'll join you shortly. Okay." I say to her as I kiss the top of her head and she walks off. About 10 minutes later I join her. I quietly walk into my office trying not to wake her. " hey babe come join me." She says moving over on the bed. I walk over and lay down with her. Once I get situated she lays her head on my chest. "I was thinking about us going on a date in a month there's this amazing restaurant that overlooks the city and it books up really fast so that's the next slot they had open" little does she know I plan to propose to her that night. " Sounds great I'd love that." She says. "Hey I was thinking how bout you move in together we can get our own place. We lay there for another 30 minutes until the alarm goes off

Ambulance 61 Truck 81 Squad 3 house fire 6945 Kent circle

We hop out of bed and rush to the rigs. I jump in the passenger side turn on the siren and head off. It takes us about 9 minutes to get to the scene. I hop out and give orders to my men as I hear Casey giving his orders.

Cases pov
"Alright men you have your orders. Burke remember you are on my hip at all times." I say " yes sir on your hip" she says as she follows me in. I have us searching the top floor. We go room by room clearing it. We are just about done with the top floor when I hear chief say " everybody our now the builds about to flash." " we have to move now" I say as we head down the stairs. We are just about to make it to the door when I feel the building about to go. " have to run fast and dive out if we wanna survive." I yell running faster. We just barely made it when the building flashed. I get up looking dazed my head hurts as I look around to see burke getting up. " Thanks for the tip on diving out lieutenant" she says with a smile.

Burkes pov
If the Lieutenant hadn't told me do run faster and dive I don't think I would of made it. I careful get up off the ground. My body aches from the dive. I look over and find the lieutenant standing tall and looking as fine as ever. I walk over and thank him for the tip. He hands me so water and we head back to the rig. We get the fire put out and head back to the firehouse.
