At the firehouse

Gabby's pov
We arrive at the house and walk in. " so how's the new candidate" I ask him. "She's great I think she'll fit in well here" He says to me. I go to the locker room and get changed out into my uniform. Sylive is in there changing. " how is the eye doing today?" I ask. " its doing good" Severide is was really worried about me." She says "well the man does love you so he's gonna worry. So get use to it. Mat worries about me all the time." I say as I finish changing. We walk out to the ambo to do inventory with Shay. In the middle of doing inventory the alarm goes off.

Ambulance 61 kid injured Grant Park

Shays pov
We stop what we are doing and head off sirens blaring. Once on scene we see a kid who looks to be about 11 clenching his leg. "Alright honey can you tell me your name and what happened." I ask. "My name is james I was skate boarding and fell." He says "Tell me if anything hurts when I put pressure on it okay" I say "okay" he says as I start to feel his leg. "owe owe that hurts" he screams in pain. "Alright I think you have a broken leg. We will need to take you in to get an x-ray to make sure. Dawson can you hand me an air cast to put on." I say to dawson and she runs to the rig. " What's an air cast?"james asks "its just a a cast made of air so we can transport you without further injury." I say as dawson gets back. We put the cast on him and load him up into the ambo. " I need to call my mom she doesn't what happened shes at home" he says " the hospital will call when you get there everything will be fine I promise " sylive says. Once at Chicago Med we hand him off and head back to the firehouse.
