The next day

Dawson's pov
I left Jace with my mom so i could spend time with Mat. I ask the nurse how he's doing before I head into see him. "Hes improving still in the comma but I think today he might wake up." She says to me. I thank her and walk in. I pull up my usual chair and sit next to Mat. I've even brought pictures of me and Jace to put by his bedside in case he wakes up when I'm gone. As I'm sitting here the memories of Mat and I start to flood in. I try so hard to keep the tears back but I can't help it I break down full on crying. I hold his hand as tears just fall. "The doctors say you're getting better. Jace misses you hes gotten so big in the last few days. He smiles every time I say your name. Hes definitely got your smile." I say as I kiss Mat. Im still sobbing when I say "Baby we really need you to wake up please baby just wake up. I love you" " always and forever " I hear Casey say In a groggily quite voice. "You're awake baby your awake." I say with tears streaming down my face. Casey's motions to come lay with him as he gently moves over. I can't stop cry so I just curl up into his arms as he wipes my tears away.
