I have a feeling that this will end up in madness at some point.

"So, one person from each soulmate pair?"

"Yes. One of them will turn into children, and the other will stay the same. Do you know which one you will turn into a child?"

"Yes. I have my eyes on them already."

"Alright. How long will they be children for?"

"For as long as it takes Xelqua to find out what we did."

"Okay. Go on. I will see you soon."

"Yes sir."

The first one walked away, leaving the second one all alone in the server. From behind them, they heard a portal open and close. Reminding themselves of the task at their hands, they shook their head and opened their wings.

They took to the sky, before casting the entire world in a purple haze. Raising their hands above them, they began to recite the spell.

They recited, bringing their hands down and casting the spell. A bright light erupted from the core, blinding everything in sight. When the light had died down, they floated back down to the ground, their job complete. The purple haze was going away, and they had to leave now.

Opening their own portal, the Watcher stepped in, an acidic smile on their face, glad of what they just did.

The sun peeked through the slightly open curtains in Grian's and Scar's room. The winged man groaned, reaching over to find his glasses. Finding the black circles, Grian put his glasses on, and his world came into view.

The first thing he noticed was a baby panda sleeping next to him.

Grian was baffled, rubbing his eyes multiple times, making sure that it was real. After several eye rubbings and pinching's, Grian could confirm that the panda was in fact, real.

'Did my soulmate just turn into a panda?' Grian thought, confusion written all over his face. He got out of bed and stretched, about to call Scar's name.

At that moment, Grian first heard a child's laughter.

Grian paused, listening again to make sure that he actually heard a child laughing. Sure enough, he heard the laughter again, and it was coming from the Scar's panda reserve. Grian ran downstairs and into the outside, running to the reserve. Opening the gate, he immediately heard footsteps running towards him, before feeling someone hug his leg. Looking down, he saw a small child, with dark brown hair and dark green eyes.

Scar.

"Scar!? Wha- How!?" Grian cried out in surprise, looking at the child form of his soulmate. Scar, oblivious to everything, just reached his hands up, looking like he wanted to be picked up. Grian, despite his shock, smiled gently as he picked up his soulmate, the small child smiling in happiness as he rested his head on Grian's shoulder, falling back asleep. Grian looked at the child in his arms, still slightly in shock, but there still was a smile on his face.

"Oh Scar... What am I going to do with you?" He mumbled to himself, carrying the sleeping child back to their base. As he put Scar down and tucked him in, Grian pulled out his communicator.

<Grian> is it just me or has anyone else's soulmate been turned into a child? scar is a child now.

"B? Big B?" Ren called out, walking around their base, The Box. He hadn't seen his soulmate anywhere, and Big B didn't even leave a message. The dog hybrid walked around in circles, checking every nook and small space, looking everywhere for his soulmate. 

"Big B! I swear, where did you go!?" Ren cried out, looking out of all the windows, hoping to find Big B outside. As he finished checking the last window and went back downstairs, he heard some childish giggling coming from the outside of the base. Ren sighed, walking over to the entrance.

As he walked out, he saw Big B - as a child - laughing as a dog licked his face.

Ren's jaw dropped and his sunglasses almost fell off his face as he took in the fact that his soulmate was a child. He rubbed his eyes, making sure that he wasn't seeing anything, and sure enough, the child stayed.

'What? When? How? What?' Ren thought, a million questions going through his head at once. Yet, the sight of his soulmate laughing with a dog made his heart melt again. Ren leaned against the doorframe, watching the sight fondly. Clearing his throat, he saw Big B turn around, and immediately, the child's face lit up in joy.

"Wen!" The child shouted, jumping up and launching himself into Ren's arms. Ren held his child-soulmate close, smiling fondly.

"C'mon, let's go inside for now." Ren told the small Big B, turning around and heading back inside. He set Big B down, and pulled out his communicator, seeing that Grian had sent a message a few minutes ago.

<RenDog> no it isn't. big b is a child too. you're not alone.

'Weird,' Ren thought to himself as he put his communicator away. 'I wonder how this all happened. At least I'm not alone and the only one dealing with this.

Yet for now, before anyone called a meeting, Ren had to look after his soulmate, which he didn't mind.

Scott stepped outside from his house, the morning breeze ruffling his cyan hair. He yawned and stretched, raising his arms above his head. He had sworn that he felt some weird aura in the middle of the night, but he brushed it off, it was probably just a dream.

As he was about to get started with his day, he heard a certain zombie running up behind him, panting. As he turned around, he saw the redhead run up the hill, stopping right behind him. Cleo took a few moments to regain their breath, as it had seemed like they had been running for a while, before looking up at Scott.

"Scott, you need to look at this now." Cleo grabbed Scott's arm, pulling him down the hill. Scott was confused. 'What was happening?' He thought to himself, yet he still let Cleo drag him, not asking anything, as she seemed slightly panicked.

As they started to near Pearl's base, Scott's eyebrows knitted together, and he frowned. 'What did she do now?' Scott thought. Cleo pulled Scott inside, and ran up the stairs, Scott following them form behind.

"Okay Cleo, what did Pearl do no-" Scott was cut off as Cleo clamped a hand in front of his mouth, before pointing in front of them. Clearly confused, Scott looked ahead of him, before Cleo made him look down.

On the ground, was Pearl and Martyn, but they were both children, sleeping against Tilly.

"What? How did this happen?" Scott asked, turning to Cleo, who shook their head.

"I have no idea. I had to talk to Martyn this morning and the player tracker said that he was here with Pearl. When I got here, I found them like this. How are they children Scott?" Cleo asked, pointing to the pair.

"I have no idea Cleo. We should hold a server-wide meeting, see if anyone else had this problem." Scott answered quietly, his eyes still focused on Pearl and Martyn. Feeling a hand rest of his shoulder, he turned around and saw Cleo behind him, a small smile on their face.

"We'll get through this together." They whispered, and Scott smiled alongside them. A few moments of silence past, before they both heard shuffling, then a small voice. 

"Clweo..?" Child Martyn mumbled sleepily, rubbing his eyes. He yawned, looking at Scott and Cleo with a sad expression. Scott noticed that Cleo's expression softened, and they walked over the the blond child, picking him up easily.

"Hey Martyn." Cleo whispered, making sure that Pearl wasn't going to wake up. Martyn yawned again, his still slightly sleepy eyes focusing on Cleo's soft eyes. Martyn wrapped his arms around Cleo's neck and rested his head on their shoulder.

"I sowwy.." He whispered. Cleo's expression fell slightly, yet they still smiled.

"It's okay Martyn. You have nothing to be sorry for." They replied, hugging Martyn. Scott saw Martyn smile, before closing his eyes again. If Cleo was able to interact with their child soulmate, then Scot could.

Slowly, Scott walked towards the still sleeping Pearl, and picked her up. That small movement caused Pearl to wake up, and she looked at Scott with a big smile on her face.

"Scotty!" Pearl laughed, throwing her hands around him. Scott just laughed and held the child Pearl close, spinning her around. From the corner of his eye, he could see Cleo smirking at him.

"I can't believe that you're able to interact so kindly to your soulmate." Cleo mouthed, and Scott shot them a look.

"Shut up. It goes the same for you too." He mouthed back, to which Cleo just rolled their eyes as a response.

Together, like it was a silent agreement between them, they both started to descend the stairs of Pearl's tower, Tilly following them close on their heels. Once they got outside, Cleo handed a now sleeping Martyn over to Scott as they pulled out their communicator, which had 2 unread messages.

Cleo showed Scott the messages as they took Martyn back from Scott. Well, at least they now knew that they weren't the only ones, with Scar and Big B being children as well.

Cleo and Scott looked at each other, one question going through both of their minds.

'How did this even happen?'

The Warden's shriek sounded throughout the caves, forcing Jimmy and Tango behind a part of the ancient city. They both gasped for air, catching their breaths as they hid. Jimmy peeked out, seeing the Warden stomp around blindly in circles. Jimmy felt Tango grab his arm, and he turned to look at his soulmate, confused.

"What?" Jimmy whisper-asked. Tango pressed a finger to his lips, then pointed upwards. Jimmy followed Tango's finger until he saw it.

The exit to get out of the city.

"How do we get to there without the Warden detecting us?" Jimmy asked Tango, his voice still quiet. Tango stayed quiet for a moment, before responding.

"Let's quietly run from pillar to pillar. Once we're far enough away from the city, and the Warden, we start running. Let's hope that we don't die in the process." Tango whispered back. Jimmy nodded.

"I'll go first. Tango, you follow me." Jimmy instructed, with Tango nodding.

Looking back at the Warden, which was now a mile away, Jimmy made a break for it, running to the next pillar. Since the Warden didn't see him, Jimmy motioned Tango to run now. Tango got up, and started to run. 

However, Tango tripped on a pebble, and nearly fell over, letting out a gasp of fear as the Warden heard him. The Warden shrieks flew in Tango's direction, and Jimmy turned around, covering his eyes. Yet, he felt no pain, which meant that Tango didn't get hurt. Jimmy pressed his back against the pillar, his breathing quiet, the Warden's footsteps growing fainter and fainter. He still didn't see Tango, but he felt something latch onto him.

Looking down, Jimmy saw that Tango was somehow a child. The blazeborn shivered in fear as he held onto Jimmy's jacket tighter, shutting his eyes.

"Tango..?" Jimmy whispered as his soulmate looked up at him, tears in his eyes. Tango nodded silently, and climbed into Jimmy's lap. Holding Tango close, and spreading his wings, Jimmy looked over his shoulder once again to make sure that the Warden was far away.

When he saw that the Warden was pretty far away, Jimmy flew up, holding Tango close to his chest, and flew out of the exit in lightning speed. Once they had gotten back to the surface, Jimmy set Tango down. His child-soulmate was still shaking in fear, and Jimmy knelt down to his level.

"We're alright, okay Tango? I got us out, the Warden won't hurt us." Jimmy told Tango, smiling. Tango nodded quietly, leaning against Jimmy and closing his eyes. Jimmy smiled, before pulling out his communicator, seeing 3 unread messages.

Etho awoke to the sun blinding him, again. Groaning, he sat up, rubbing his eyes, before realizing that his soulmate wasn't with him.

'Maybe Joel got up early.' Etho thought to himself, as he got out of bed and put his mask on. He stretched his arms above his head, feeling his neck crack. Joel's side of the bed was messy, and Etho rolled his eyes.

'He never makes his side of the bed..' Etho thought, as he made the bed, before changing into his everyday clothes.

As Etho was about to leave the bedroom, he heard a high-pitched giggling coming from across the ship, followed by someone jumping on the couch. Etho raised an eyebrow, listening closer. Sure enough, he heard the continuing laughter, followed by more jumping. The laughter didn't sound like Joel, it sounded more like a child's voice.

'Did Joel just randomly kidnap a child?' Etho thought, confused. He left the bedroom and walked towards the source of the laughter, which was coming from the living room. The morning wind ruffled his hair, as Etho walked across the ship. He got to the room where the laughter was coming from, and he opened the door.

"Joel, where did the child come fro-" Etho was cut off as he locked eyes with the child.

Joel, his soulmate.

Child Joel had a large grin spread across his face, and he was bouncing up and down the couch, but stopped when he saw Etho.

"EEFO!" Joel screamed in happiness as he lunged himself towards his soulmate, his accent changing the way he said Etho's name. Etho caught Joel at the last second, and all confusion in his mind turned to happiness as he held the child Joel in his arms. Joel laughed, and booped his soulmate on the nose, to which Etho laughed to.

"Why hello there Joel." Etho responded, ruffling Joel's hair. Joel laughed again, hugging Etho. Etho's heart melted at the touch, and he held Joel close, walking out of the living room. He brought Joel to the top of the ship, and let him play as he checked his communicator. He had no idea if anyone else was experiencing their soulmate becoming a child.

A moment's pause, before Grian responded.

<Grian> How about mine and Scar's base?

Etho put his communicator away, looking at the child Joel, who looked back up at him in return.

"Okay buddy. We're going over to a friend's place, alright?" Etho held out his hand to Joel, who quickly took it and pulled himself up.

"Okay! Let's go Eefo!" Joel cried in happiness as Etho started to lead the two of them off the ship, and started walking over to Grian and Scar's base.

"What is that noise.." Impulse muttered to himself as he woke up. He had sworn that he heard a child's voice as he was sleeping, drawing him back into the morning. Sitting up, he rubbed his eyes and yawned, looking for the source of the child's voice.

"Bdubs, did you hear a child's voice or was it just- Bdubs?" Impulse looked around, not seeing his soulmate anywhere. It was highly unlikely for Bdubs to wake up before Impulse in the mornings, so Impulse didn't know where Bdubs was. He got out of bed, standing up and walked over to the window, checking if Bdubs was outside.

He wasn't, and there was no noise downstairs, which started to make Impulse worried. As he left the window, he heard someone softly snoring on the ground, and he looked down.

Bdubs was a child, and he was asleep on the floor.

'How- What?' Impusle thought to himself as he picked the child up, which woke Bdubs up. He looked up at Impulse, a large grin quickly spreading across his face, his bandanna dropping over his eye.

"Impy! I try-ed to wake you up but you didn't wake up, then I sat on the flwoor and waited yfor you to wake up but you didn't, and then I fwell asleep!" Bdubs cried out in excitment. Clearly he had gotten a good rest during the night.

Despite being confused, Impulse smiled fondly at Bdubs, who in return, gave Impulse a large smile back. 

"Alright 'Dubs. Let's figure out why you turned into a child.." Impulse trailed off as he opened his communicator, one arm still holding Bdubs tightly.

<ImpulseSV> sorry I'm late to replying. Bdubs is a child too. I'll take Bdubs over to your base now Grian.

Impulse turned off his communicator and put it away, before turning to look at Bdubs once more.

"Do you want to meet some new people buddy?" Impulse asked, and Bdubs's smile widened. He looked excited.

"Yeah! I wanna meet people!" He cried out in joy. Impulse laughed and held Bdubs closer.

"Okay, let's go!" Impulse went down the stairs and left their house, holding Bdubs in his arms.

While Grian was waiting for everyone to show up, he stared out the window in confusion, while Scar was playing in another room.

'How did this happen?'

I take back on what I said in the Incorrect Quotes chapter. This might be the longest chapter, with 3306 words. (holy moly)

I'll work on the second part within the next upcoming days, and hopefully finish it by the end of the week!
