Raven's pov

I opened my eyes to see a new world, I looked at my mom and dad, they smiled.
The rest of my life went by....
I went to kindergarten and I  met some friends that stayed with me through elementary school, most stayed with me through middle school and some through highschool.

I met a girl named Veronica, she was so nice to me and makes me feel like I was a real person.
Most people look at me and decide that I'm a bad person.
I'm not always a bad person, I can be really nice and funny to other people that accept me. I had her and that was all I needed.

We became friends and we slowly grew feelings for each other and decided that we have been friends enough, and that we should start a relationship.

And I wanted to marry her right away, but I knew I had to wait.
Our relationship, became serious between us.
I went to her house, when I wasn't busy doing homework or important stuff.
I would talk and get to know her family.
It was really cool, meeting her family for the first time.
When me and her walked into the house, her family surrounded us.
The youngest was jumping around, and asked me, was I Veronica's girlfriend?
I said yes and she jumped around more.
Her family seemed crazy, but nice and cool.
Her father was nice and so was her mother.
The youngest sister was adorable, and sweet.

The years passed and I would go over to her house, to do projects with her and maybe a little kissing afterwards.
Our relationship became stronger, even powerful as one would call it.
I would give her presents on our anniversaries.
She would always smile and kiss me, and I would always kiss her back as hard as I could.
Being with her, lit up my world, I don't know how I could have lived, without her in my life.
The last year of high school is good, I mean I got bullied by a few preps and jocks.
But I had Veronica to stand up for me, and I'd stand up for her, so it was a win, win situation.
When prom came around, it was the best night of my life. I was dressed up in a black and red dress and Veronica was dressed in a white dress, it was as short as mine and it stopped at our knee's.
We went to the school dance and danced the night away, and when it was time to vote for the prom king and queen.
I got the paper and checked our name's and passed it to the lady who was taking them up.
The guy got up on the stage, with a envelope in his hand.
"How y'all doing tonight?" He asked.
We all yelled "Perfect!".
He smiled "Okay now that's what I want to hear, I know you guys are dying for me to announce the people, so I'm not going to waste anymore time talking" he said ready to open the envelope.
He opened it and unfolded the paper,"The prom Queen is .... Veronica".

She smiled and stood up and walked onto the stage, one of the girl's handed her a bouquet of roses, placed a tiara on her head and put a sash on her that said PROM QUEEN.
She smiled and waved at me, excitedly.
One of the students handed him another envelope.
And he wasted no time, he seemed anxious to find out who the prom king would be.
"And our Prom King is .......... Raven Thomas, step up here".
I stood up and pushed in my seat and walked up the stairs on to the stage.
And stood beside Veronica.
The same girl placed a crown on my head and smiled, "congrats you guy's" she said.
"Thank you"we said together.
She smiled and walked to the other side of the stage.
I scooted closer to Veronica a little and put my hand on her waist.
"Let's get a picture of this cute couple" he said and smiled at us.
People brought out their phone's out and were ready to press the camera button.
"Smile you two" he said.
We smiled and everyone took picture's of us.
We stepped down, when we were done taking pictures, and stepped onto the middle of the floor and the DJ played slow music.
I put one hand on her waist and held her other.
She put one hand on my shoulder, and I led us as we slow danced to the music.

Everyone joined us, soon the dance floor was filled with couples dancing.
I smiled and looked into Veronica's eyes, "you look like a angel, did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" I whispered.
She smiled and giggled, "no I got caught by a fluffy cloud".
I smiled and chuckled, "I bet you did" I said and kissed her head.
I never wanted that night to end, we finished our danceand grew tired so we sat back down at our table.
A girl with a camera was taking pictures of couples and she reached our table, "do you mind if I get a picture of you two?".
"No we don't mind at all" I said got closer to Veronica, I put my arm's around her and she did the same and we smiled, as the girl took our picture.

The DJ put on some metal and I grabbed Veronica's hand and led her onto the dance floor.
And danced crazy, the other Emo's and Goth's were rocking out too.
Veronica joined me, and we rocked the prom, everyone else walked back to their table's and watched us.
It was amazing, the DJ was my favorite part, because he put metal on half the time and then put normal music.
Then put metal back on.
The prom was a rocking night, a good night to be alive!
And a lot of time to spend with Veronica.

When it was time to leave the prom, I went up to the DJ and gave him my numberand my social media.
He smiled and gave me his number, we chatted for a while.
Veronica came up to us, and I put my arm around her and continued talking to talk to the DJ.
"What y'all talking about?".
"Just about metal and rock music" I said smiling at Veronica.
"Cool".
"Yep" I said.
The DJ smiled, "do you like metal and rock?" He asked Veronica.
She thought for a moment, and looked at him "I mostly to it, because my uncle listens to it, when I'm in his car".
"Nice, well i gave your girlfriend my number so you guys can text me anytime" he said.
"Okay" she said.
I smiled and kissed her head, "you ready to go home babe?".
She nodded and I smiled "Okay babe, well we will talk to you later" I said and picked her up and carried her outside to the car.
And I drove her back home.
When I got to her house, her parents and siblings gathered around us.
"How was it you two?" Her mom asked.
"It was Amazing Mom!" Veronica said and smiled.

I smiled "yep it sure was" I said.
"I'm glad you two had fun" her mom said and her dad smiled.
Veronica yawned, I looked at her instantly "you tired my love?".
"A little" she said and passed out, I quickly caught her.
And held her in my arms and carried her upstairs to her room.
Laid her on the bed and laid beside her, because I was tired too and covered her up with the blanket.
And turned on my side and put my arm over her and held her closer to me and fell asleep.

The next morning we got up, got dressed, went downstairs for breakfast and went to school.

Once we were out of high school, I started going to her house more.
We would always hangout, because I had nothing better to do.

One day I decided to do it, I got out of bed and put on my best suit, and got on my motorcycle.
And drove like I was being chased by the cops, to her house.
I walked to her door and knocked on it.
Her father opened it and stared at me.
"Excuse me sir, but I would like to ask you something?".
He opened the door more, "what is it?".
"I would like to get your permission to marry your daughter" I smiled brightly.

He refused the first few times, he didn't seem like he was going to give in anytime soon.
I looked at him and begged.
He stared at me and looked back to the stairs, I guessed she was in her room.
A person outside screamed, while pointing at me "hahaha Raven's dressed like a boy!".
He made a face of guilt, I guessed he felt bad for me.

He looked back at me said "you may have my permission to marry veronica" .
I smiled, cried, and hugged him tightly "thank you sir".
He smiled "your welcome" he hugged me back.
He let me inside, "veronica is upstairs".
"Okay" I said before racing upstairs and I was greeted by her sister's, when I got to the top of the steps.
They smiled and hugged me, and I hugged them back.
"Veronica's in her room" one of her sister's said.
"Okay thanks" I walked the door, but was stopped by her youngest sister who held onto my leg.
"Hi, your here to see Veronica?" she said.
I nodded and smiled "hi".

She let go of my leg and skipped downstairs.
I opened the door and veronica jumped into my arms, her legs wrapped around my waist.
" I missed you" she said and kissed me passionately.
"I missed you more" I replied and kissed her back passionately and hard.
She moaned a little.
I smiled and held her closer to me.
"Hey get dressed, I got a surprise for you" I said setting her down.
She smiled, and jumped up and down happily.
I smiled and went downstairs and say on the couch and waited for her.
She got changed into a black sparkly it stopped at her knees.
And she held on to the rail and walked slowly down the steps.
I turned my head and saw her. I stood up slowly watching her every step.
My jaw almost drop to the floor, but I kept it from dropping.
She smiled at me, her eyes turned brown in the light, I smiled back at her.
I walked slowly to her and held out my hand, she held it and stepped off the last step.

"You look amazing, babe" I said.
She blushed, and kissed my cheek "thanks babe, you look great also too".

Her family smiled and said good luck and complimented us.
We walked outside and got on my motorcycle, Veronica held on to my waist and I drove us to a secret place where a picnic was set up for us.
"Close your eyes".
She did.
I parked my motorcycle, and got off and led her to the blanket on the ground.
I told her to open her eyes now.
She opened her eyes and hugged me tightly.
"It's perfect babe".
"I know".

We ate and talked for a while and I got on one knee in front of her and pulled a little box.
"Veronica my dear will you marry me?" I asked.

She smiled and had tears in the corner of her eyes.
"Yes" she smiled and hugged me tightly.
I hugged her back and kissed her cheek.
