Chapter 5: The Road Ahead

Amy woke up the next morning feeling sick again. So she ran to the bathroom again and thrown up. Amy started to wonder if she was just maybe pregnant. Amy then remembered that when Lou took a pregnancy test when she thought she was pregnant; she had one left in a box so Amy went and grabbed it. Amy went into the bathroom and stared at it. She then thought there's no harm in seeing. Amy did the test. Amy started to stared at it again. This was going to be the longest 9 minutes of her life.
8 minutes left
Amy started to "there's no way I'm pregnant"
7 minutes left
Amy thought about the time in the loft with Ty and when she got back from Europe
6 minutes left
Amy thought again "omg I could be pregnant"
5 minutes left
By this time Amy was pacing around the bathroom. "I wouldn't be that bad of a thing if I was pregnant"
4 minutes
"omg why I'm I working my self up like this it's probably nothing "
3 minutes
"What I'm going to do if I am pregnant"
2 minutes
"What would Ty think now that we are broken up!!!" By this time Amy had puked again
1 minute
"OMG just finish already"
It had finally been 9 minutes. Amy read it.

Amy was feeling mix emotions. Glad, sad, disappointed but mostly relived. What would she do with a baby now anyways.

Then she had a shower and got ready to work with this new horse that came to heartland. The horse was named Ace; he was flea bitten grey, Hanoverian gelding but before Amy did all that she needed to go to Ty's trailer and give him back her engagement ring. Amy came out of the bathroom and decided not to eat breakfast considering she still felt sick. She passed Lou and Jack having a conversation.
"Oh hey grandpa I have been meaning to talk to you about something" said Amy.
"Ok what about" Grandpa Jack replies.
"We need to expand the stable because I made a name for my self in Europe and lots of high end people may bring there horses here" Amy explained.
"No way" Jack said.
"Grandpa what do you think high end people will think bringing there high class horses here to a four stall barn " Amy argued.
"Amy I said NO" Jack said. "Grandpa we need to be more professional" Amy yelled and stormed off to the barn. Amy feel a tear run down her face
"why does no one care what I say since I came back" Amy thought.
Amy went and grabbed Spartan and tacked him up and rode off to Ty's, she knew he would be at school.

Amy soon arrived at Ty's trailer. Amy tied Spartan up to a post and left Ty his engagement ring and a note that said,

Ty,

I love you so much but your right I have changed; And with that I'm going to let you be free and find someone who knows who they are and will love you. I love you so much but I have to let you go.

By the end of rereading the note Amy was crying so she set the note and her engagement ring on Ty's couch and mounted Spartan and rode back to Heartland crying.

Amy came back to heartland and untacked Spartan and brushed him and put him away. Amy's next job was going to be work with Ace. Georgie came running out of the house to Amy "
Hey Amy, Can I help" said Georgie. "Of course" Amy replied.
"I will go get Ace and tack him up for you" Georgie said. The only person who wanted to talk to her was Georgie. Before Amy could say anything else she was gone.

               Back at Ty's

Ty got home from school and seen the ring and then the note. He read the note and by the end he feel a tear run down his face. He couldn't believe this was happening.

Ace refuses to jump and has a problem with water. So Amy's plan was to walk him around the jumps and then ride around them and finally see if he would jump them. For the water problem she was going to ride him down to the river and walk him in it to see what he would do. Amy walked over to see Spartan, Phoenix and Paint.
"Hey boys" said Amy. Spartan came trotting over to see her. "Here Amy he's all tacked up and ready to go" says Georgie with Ace.
"Thanks Georgie"
Amy walked Ace to the jumping ring and walked him around and around for like 15 minutes.
"Hey Amy are you going to do anything else then walk him around?" Georgie asked.
"Yes Georgie it does take time you know, he's still a bit antsy" Said Amy. Amy mounted Ace and walked him around the jumps. "Wow he seems to be fine with these jumps" Amy said to Georgie. Amy then trotted and then canter him. Amy then Canter towards the jump. Amy counted her strides in her head"1,2,3 Ju.." "AMY" Georgie Yelled.
