I SAT QUIETLY on the car as Ibrahim drive me back home,I was so happy he decided to ignore me throughout the drive but there was turmoil inside of me

I can't believe Abubakar and Ibrahim are friends, everything feel so wrong everything felt so wrong

I took my phone from my bag and texted the only person I could lean on my best friend

Things are going bad in my life right now,a lot happened I'm dying here

I sent it to her and kept my phone back on my bag

The car stopped in the front of my house and I stepped out of the car

"Good night"I greeted

"Good bye"he answered coldly and left

I went inside the house and happily no one was in the sitting room,I went straight to my room and lay on my bed

I wasn't feeling good at all and I wondered how my perfect life changed drastically like this,who did I offend or why is my dad not seeing that this marriage can't work

I didn't know I was crying till I tasted something salty in my mouth,my phone started ringing I took it and met it was Fareedah,I sniffed before taking the call

"I met your message what's happening?"she asked worriedly as soon as I pick the call

"We can't talk about it in phone"I replied and start crying slowly sniffing time to time

"Ok dear,I will be there first thing tomorrow's morning and please stop crying I don't wanna see you sad"she said and I chuckled sadly

"Yeah I heard you,I will see you tomorrow"

"Yeah love you"

"Love you too"I replied and ended the call

My door suddenly opened revealing my mom

"You came back so soon,you didn't mind telling me"my mom said sitting at the edge of my bed while I shifted a little so that the both of us can feel comfortable

"I got headache and asked him to took me home,I was about sleeping"I lied

"Sorry dear,do you want pills"she asked

"No I'm okay sleep is all I need"I replied

"Ok then sleep and don't worry I will be here to check you time to time"she said standing up

"Don't bother mummy I'm fine,I'm not a baby anymore"I chuckled

"Even when you are old you are still my baby nothing can change that"she said and I roll my eyes

"Fine fine fine"I shoo her away

"So you are driving me out of your room"she teased

"Mom!"I yelled while she laughs leaving my room

I hit my head on my pillow thinking about nothing and everything,I tried to fall asleep but the sleep doesn't want to come

I was still laying on the bed looking up at the moving ceiling fan when I heard the call for prayer,I stood up and took my phone the time was 4:30am

I stood up and went to the bathroom and brush my teeth,I decided to take my bath too before leaving the room,I went to the kitchen and started washing the plates

I did all the house chores before it was time to pray,I went to pray on coming out of my room to the kitchen I met my mom surprise look

"Who did all this?"she asked

"I did"I replied nonchalantly

"Oh my what entered you today you wake up early to do the house chores,you told me last night you weren't feeling well"my mom kinda complained

"It's just headache mom nothing else,I felt better when I wake up and I decided to do the chores"I lied again

"Ok dear,you should relax I will prepare the breakfast"

"Let me help"I replied when we suddenly heard greetings

"Good morning Mom"Fareedah greets my mom and I could see how to surprise my mom is

"Morning dear,you are here so early"my mom replied

"Yes mom,I was missing my friend and decided to check up on her she also told me she was not feeling too good"Fareedah lied while I gave her a bad look,she smiled slyly

"Aishah go with your friend,I will be okay doing the breakfast alone"my mom said and I nodded dragging Fareedah with me

She bursted out laughing as soon as we reach my room

"Tell me I said thesame thing you told mummy when she discovered you couldn't sleep"she says and I eye her once more

"Just tell me when you became an expert in lying"I asked her while she sits on my bed and I did thesame

"Oh well that was the first thing that came to my mind and also since I know you too well I know that will be the first thing you gonna lie"she said and I smiled wondering how someone can know you so deeply

"Enough of this petty talk and tell me the meaning of this message,I counted seconds before the day finally breaks so that I can see you"Fareedah added

"You won't believe it Fareedah I found out that Abubakar and my to be husband Ibrahim are best friends"

"What?!"Fareedah look shock beyond words could explain

"Seriously,you know Abubakar asked me out on a date and I finally said yes,I was preparing for the date when my dad called me and told me I have a date with Ibrahim I wasn't happy about it,I didn't know how to tell Abubakar the date have been cancelled and lucky enough he called and told me thesame thing that he got something important to do and we can't go out on the date today"

"You should have guess something is wrong"Fareedah said

"I was just blinded by happiness that he won't feel disappointed by me and the worst part Ibrahim invited him on the date and that's how we met"

"Oh my God what did you do?"

"What can I do?,I was confused tired and I just started crying thanks to Abubakar he made everything right"I said sadly

"I'm beginning to like that guy"Fareedah said absentmindedly

"Why can't it be Abubakar instead but I'm stuck with Ibrahim someone who will never value our marriage"

"It's fine don't let this get you down cheer up and also I'm taking you out on shopping"

"Oh my you don't mean it"I squealed

"I meant it hundred percent so get your butt up and have your bath"

"I already did that"I replied finally feeling good

"You need to take another shower"

"I won't"

"You dare not"she threatened

"What if I do"I said laughing when we heard mummy shouts

"Breakfast is ready!!!"

We both stand up at thesame time laughing our ass out as we joined the rest in the dinning room
