HOW COULD YOU?! Halimat roared angrily as hot tears left her eyes forcefully,she always craved for a mother, she's always jealous of those with mothers seeing the way they were pampered and loved and always blame Allah for taking her mother away from her not knowing her dad was behind everything, was behind the lost she felt

"I'm sorry Halimat! You should forgive me! It was in the past I don't want you and killed your mother out of anger for disobeying my wish but right now you're everything to me"her dad replied and her anger grew

"How could you do this to me! How could you do this to your daughter! You left me all by myself to grow up in your house,I always wondered why no family members came to visit me,I always wonder why no one in the family that's a female decided to take care of me but you left me alone to grew up on my own!"Halimat said bursting into tears

"I'm never forgiving you dad! I'm never going to forgive you and you can rot in jail because you deserve it"Halimat said turning to run out of the prison because all she felt is pain but she suddenly yelp in pain as something penetrate through her stomach

She look down to see that one of the rods on the dirty cell penetrated through her and her eyes hold an expression of horror,Mr Kandiri's eyes widened as blood gush out of Halimat's stomach

"Help! Help!! Help!!!"Mr Kandiri yelled while Halimat eyes only shed tears feeling an heavy gush of pains,she started getting weak when the police rush over to her,the only way she could be help is to draw the rod out of her stomach and it was a very painful experience for her

Mr Kandiri kept on crying in the cell praying nothing happens to his daughter

"Let me go with her! Release me! I want to go with my daughter!"he kept yelling which all fell on deaf ears

"Call my husband! Tell him to come with my baby!"Halimat weakly said and one of the police women took her phone informing Ibrahim of her present predicament

She was rushed to the hospital and Ibrahim was there too,she needed urgent surgery but the doctor was not around and she needed to be rushed to another hospital,Ibrahim got scared while Firdaus was just looking around ignorant of what's going on,she was taking into another car and Ibrahim joined her tagging Firdaus along

"I don't want to die Ibrahim! I don't want to leave my daughter alone!"she cried making her to feel more pains

"You won't die Halimat, nothing will happen to you"Ibrahim said but Halimat nodded in disagreement

"I don't want my daughter's life to be like mine Ibrahim,I was denied of mother's love and if I leave my baby now she will never experience it too"she said tears flowing freely from her eyes,she touched her baby's cheek with her bloody hands while Ibrahim kept on praying nothing happens to her

"I love you so much Firdaus"Halimat said choking "I love you so much Ibrahim that I didn't mind doing anything to anybody,I wanted you to be all mine,I never wanted to share, you don't know the kind of joy you gave me when you worship me till one certain time when everything stopped,I was devastated I felt pains I wanted you all to myself"she said and coughed

"Stop talking!"Ibrahim warned

"No! Let me talk,you gave all the love to Aishah and I was blinded by rage,I wanted her out of your life desperately,I wanted to be the only one you look up to with love and adoration but Aishah had all those then I started doing things to her,I hated her so much that I didn't mind hurting her,I tore her apart and was happy when she loss her children but today I experienced that kind of pain when I discovered I was denied of mother's love and felt more pain when I know I won't be with my child soon,I won't be there to see her grow into a young woman"Halimat said coughing

"Stop saying rubbish Halimat!"Ibrahim warned while Firdaus look at her mom and dad imagining while her mom was laying down with red liquid coming out from her stomach,she touched her stomach but something like that didn't came out and wondered what kind of miracle her mom was performing

"Aishah said I won"Halimat said chuckling "I didn't win Ibrahim,we both loose at the end of the fight we both loose"she said and her eyes started going up making Ibrahim get scared the more

"Halimat! What's wrong with you! What are you doing?!"Ibrahim yelled willing themselves to be at the hospital sooner than they expected,he cursed the previous hospital because their doctor wasn't around

"I know Aishah told me she already forgive me but beg her again for forgiveness for everything I have done to her,I know how it's feels now and I can't lie karma is a bitch"she said in a dying tone "take care of daughter Ibrahim,give her all the love she deserves because she's innocent she's a never part of any of this"Halimat said and started breathing very fast

It felt like a breath were caught on her throat and Ibrahim saw the hospital make an appearance,he jumped out of the car immediately asking for a stretcher,Halimat was placed in the stretcher rushing into the hospital when she drew her last breathe and gave up the ghost

Her eyes were on Firdaus throughout before she died because she holds a lot of regrets about the things she had done and things she couldn't do

Ibrahim became rigid when Halimat died,he shouted and started rendering different prayers but no changes were made,their baby only stood looking sad when her dad cried and started crying too when she got scared of what's going

Mr Kandiri who was in the cell praying to Almighty Allah to save Halimat despite all the evil he did was told Halimat died she couldn't be saved,the man cried blaming himself for causing the death of his child and wondered if karma was finally catching up with him,he will for nothing else but death but death was too kind for him and it never came.

He was charged to court and was found guilty for all the disastrous things he had done,he didn't plead not guilty because he was now a shadow of himself,a man known for so much power became nothing but a shadow of himself

A man known for his power was now dressed in a blue uniform matching other prisoners,a man known for his power was now beaten by the prisoner king,a man known for his power have to give up his food to other prisoners after receiving beatings of his life

He had no one to blame for everything happening to him but himself because he knew he had done a lot to souls who were innocent and they didn't deserve all he had done,he wished for death time to time but death denied him,he spent the rest of his life regretting everything he had done and causing his only daughter's death

Aishah's and Ibrahim's divorce went successfully but Ibrahim plead with Aishah to return back to him and be a mother to Firdaus but Aishah rejected the offer,Qadirah was happy when she heard about the news of Mr Kandiri behind bars and was also happy they had no hands in his present predicament,Aishah and Haqam decided to return back to Lagos inviting Fareedah to come over to Lagos for her upcoming wedding

Ibrahim sat on one of the sofa in his sitting room and his eyes landed on the sleeping figure of Firdaus who have been busy disturbing him where her mother is,he thought about life and discovered that nothing you do in this life either big or small that you won't account for

He Imagined the death of Halimat for the karma of all she did to Aishah,Allah decided to take her away from her child because he knew how much she loves her child and was ready to train her till she grew up,he knew if Almighty Allah decided to take Firdaus away Halimat will surely have another baby but he turns it the other way round regretting everything she had done on her dying bed

Then he thought about Mr Kandiri who had done a lot of evil to Aishah's family and other people's family,he knew if dead took him there is no justice served because he is going for a rest but Almighty Allah made his daughter who he loves so much death to come from him,he kept him alive to regret everything he had done and felt the pain of loosing his child,Mr Kandiri willed for death but death denied him several times and Ibrahim knew the ways of Almighty Allah is different from the ways of other people

Then Ibrahim thought about himself all the sins he had committed and how he never really played an husband figure to Aishah,maybe that's why Allah punished him to loose two of his wives and he knew he is not capable of marrying another wife,he rather spend the rest of his life taking care of Firdaus than getting married to another woman

His mind wandered to Aishah's fiance and he couldn't deny the fact he was jealous,he always wished to get married to Aishah again but he wasn't able to fulfill that wish because he never did anything to prove to Aishah what she means to her,he spent a year looking for Aishah around Zaria and there was at a point he thought something bad happened to her

He stopped talking to Halimat for that a year and decided to continue his search for Aishah but Halimat begged him to take her back and he thought since Aishah is nowhere to be found it was better to take Halimat back and that was how she conceived of Firdaus

But there was something Aishah said and he believed now that what is never meant to be can never be no matter the struggle,the struggles can only lead to more damages and then he knew him and Aishah was never meant to be and him and Halimat was never meant to be as well all where forced relationships and then he vowed never to force anything on his daughter and make her his first priority to fill in the love of a mother she will never have
