I LEFT MOM and Tayiba in the mansion letting them know I want to go and get ready for dad's grand visitors,I parked my car at the compound stepping out if it while I run my hands on my temples

I felt slight headache and maybe it's from the fact I haven't been sleeping well for few days now,I needed to get some clients design done and I can't afford to get it wrong

I opened the door entering the house,I thought Haqam was in the house but he was no where to be found,I shrugged and went inside my room having my bathe,I wore a pyjamas coming out of the room to grab an apple and also wait till Haqam comes back because he is in charge of dolling my face up

I came out of the kitchen and met the most shocking sight of my life,the last thing I can ever think of,Haqam was standing in the sitting room his hands wrapped on a ladies waist kissing her,I look at the same hands that holds me most of the time and I got angry

I left the sitting room running to my room and I could hear Haqam's voice calling me,I got inside my room closing the door while I placed my back on the door,my heart swelled and I started crying,I know I have no right to cry because we are not really together but it didn't hurt any less

"Open the door Aishah!"I heard Haqam's voice and decided to open the door,I have no right to get angry at him because he was the reason of everything I have become and we are not really into eachother,I wiped the tears away immediately opening the door and I went ahead pretending like I was getting my dress

"When did you come back?"he asked,

Really? Was that the first question he suppose to ask me

"Not long ago"I replied taking my dress "can you excuse me,I want to get dressed"I asked

"Let me help you with your make up first"he said and I almost glared at him but I controlled myself

"I don't feel like applying make up,I want to leave my face all natural"I replied and he shakes his head

"Something is probably wrong"he said shaking his head and I shot him a really look on reflex

"Haqam just excuse me let me get dressed!"I yelled unexpectedly,the anger inside me was bubbling

"Why are you shouting?"he asked looking confused

"Get the hell out of my room!"I said when a betrayal of a tear escaped my eyes

"Okay!"he said raising up his hand

I started wearing my cloth crying,I don't know what's wrong with me or why I'm crying over someone I was never with,it's not like we ever told each other we love each other or maybe it's the fact that Haqam have made it too real,always teasing me, kissing my cheek and forehead or wrapping his hands around me in a protective manner

I wore the first thing my eyes landed on and it was a straight dark brown skirt and I matched it up with the first top I see and it was a yellow top,I know the colour combinations doesn't look right but I don't care,I wore a black slippers taking my phone as I left the house

Good enough I didn't see Haqam and I went inside my car driving out of the compound,I went inside the mansion and met mom talking to Tayiba and my heart squeezed,I was so blind that I believe I'm a part of their family but now seeing Haqam with his girlfriend proves that I'm just someone they're doing favour to

I wiped away a tear from my eyes and went over to meet them

"Baby why are you dressed like this?"mom asked while Tayiba have me a ounce over,she was dressed in a pink floral gown with a perfect make up and mom was dressed in a native attire but looks adorable,I was the only one looking out of place

"No make up too,I thought you said Haqam is going to doll you up?"Tayiba asked and I smiled

"I decided not to apply make up"I said and they nodded not believing me

"This your dress is so out of place"Tayiba said frowning and I wished they just let it go before I break down crying

"Do you have any issue with Haqam?"mom asked and I waved it off

"You question too much!"I said laughing and dad finally let us know the visitors were already here

We all went outside and I saw Haqam,he was dressed in a dark blue pant and white shirt,his eyes were on me but I look away

The cars came inside the compound and everyone was standing waiting for them to come down,the car doors all open at once and they all came down,the first person my eyes landed on was Mr Kandiri

My heart skipped and I wondered what's doing in Lagos all the way from Zaria,a feeling of nostalgia hits me when my mind went back to all that has happened four years ago and I can't believe time flies so fast,he didn't see me and dad went forward to welcome them shaking and hugging them,with one look you know they are all elites of Nigeria

"Who are they?"I whispered in Tayiba's ear

"The Kaduna state governor and some of his people I think"Tayiba whispered back and I nodded in understanding,Dad is a politician and things like this are bond to happen

Mom went ahead to greet them and we all went inside into the dining room,we sat down and the maids came to serve us dinner

"I'm so honoured to see you governor"Dad said and the governor smiled

"I should be the one honoured,you're a great man with policies and I love the fact that you don't mind helping me in my upcoming election"The governor said and dad laughed richly

"Well welcome to my home and this are my family,my wife,my daughter,my son and my soon to be daughter in law"Dad said pointing at each of us

They all smiled acknowledging them while Mr Kandiri's eyes landed on me,I frowned immediately and his tongue were tied,he had a surprise look on his face like I was the last person he expected to see here,it was today I knew power was more than power,Mr Kandiri couldn't speak or spread his wings like he use to because those powerful than him are sitting here

I smirked at him as I took a sip from my drink,he saw me and gave me a scrutinizing gaze trying to decipher what's on my mind,the dinner went smoothly with Haqam always turning to see me but I ignored him totally

Soon we the family excused the politicians to have there talk since we are done with the dinner,I felt suffocated staying in thesame place with Haqam and decided to go outside

I stood outside watching the sky while the cool night breeze hits me,I felt someone standing at my side and I turn to meet Mr Kandiri eyes and I chuckled,I can't get the reason I'm not afraid of him anymore or I have loose my senses

"So you made it here Aishah,do they know you were married to Ibrahim because I'm sure they won't let you end up with their son if they ever find out"he said and I turn to look at him,he thinks he can have me wrapped in his fingers again

"Be careful of the way you talk to me Kandiri"I said and his eyes opened wide, I know he didn't expect me to call his name like that,I chuckled "or Rasheed whatever you're called,you're in my territory and I can get this people to do anything to you,I can make them terrorise you and let me warn you your ending is near"I said and turn away walking back inside the house

I could see his eyes on me so because of that I swayed more than usual and went inside the house,I heard into one of the bathroom immediately placing my hand on the sink as my heart beats erratically,I never knew I had that in me to talk to that man like that and I'm happy I could stand against him

I heard the bathroom door open and I turn around to meet Haqam standing,I tried walking away from him but he hold my hand drawing me back and pinning me to the wall,I wanted to release myself but he was stronger than me keeping me in place

"Haqam let me go!"I said at once but he didn't budge

"What's wrong with you? We are fine in the morning"he said and I roll my eyes

"Just let me go,I don't have anything to do with you"

"Of course you have a lot to do with me Aishah and you know it!"he retorted and I closed my eyes briefly

"You're hurting me!"I said

"I will apply balm on them later so right now tell me what's making you this angry?"he said

"Aren't you busy with her?"I asked angrily and bitter as the words sprung out of my mouth

"Her?"he asked looking confused before he chuckled "are you jealous?"

"Jealous of what?!,we were never together so why will I be jealous and you have the right to be with anybody you want!"I said

"But it looks like you're angry Aishah about seeing me kissing that girl"he said and I tried to free myself once more but I couldn't,he pressed his body against me and I couldn't move any longer

"Did you do that purposely to get me angry?"I asked and he chuckled dryly

"You have no right to be angry!"he said and my heart squeezed breaking my heart the more

"Then let me go!"I said wriggling again

"I won't till you tell me what's wrong with you, why are you jealous because last time we spoke a year ago you told me you're not into men anymore!"he said looking angry

"I said that last year!"I said yelling

"I have needs Aishah,I can't keep waiting for you to connect the dots!"he yelled

"You should have told me what you wanted!"I yelled

"Then what?! Reject me and left me heart broken,you know I Love You!"he yelled

"That's the problem Haqam because I'm not meant to feel that way too!"I yelled and everywhere suddenly become quiet with our heart beating erratically

"You love me?"he asked in a small voice and I realised what I said,I have feelings for him for a long time now and it's just take a jealous attitude to realise it

"I think I do"I replied whispering

"Not you think,do you love me?"he asked

"Yes"I replied in almost inaudible voice and before I knew what was happening his lips clash with mine kissing me with a lot of needs,I wasted no time letting him in and he wrapped his hands  around me pushing me against the wall as if it's possible any longer, my hands roam his hair while his were on my waist

We finally stopped trying to catch our breath

"I started liking you from the first day you walk into that hotel room and I started developing feelings for you when you told me everything about you,Aishah I don't care about what ever you have gone through in the past,I just want to be with you!"he said and my love for him grew more and I kiss him again

"Where have you been all this years?!"I asked and he chuckled

"In Lagos"
