IBRAHIM CAME BACK to the hospital not long after,he dropped the bag he was holding beside the bed and look at me smiling

"When am I leaving?"I asked

"The doctor said if nothing goes wrong,you will be discharged tomorrow's evening"he said and I nodded

He brought out a flask containing food,he fetched some in the plate and handed it over to me,I took it from him thanking him while he fetch some water into a glass cup for me

"What happened?"he asked after awhile

"Halimat placed her leg on my way and I fell down unknowingly"I said shrugging eating my food like I had no care in the world

"Why will she should that?"he said and I dropped my spoon looking at him

"Why don't you ask her"I replied annoyingly taking the glass of water sipping from it

"I was just wondering why she would do something like that when she knows you're pregnant"he said and I got angry

"Can we stop talking about this already because you suppose to take actions going after her and asking her why she did all that not asking me those useless questions"I said panting,I already had enough

"I'm sorry if I asked the wrong question"Ibrahim said and I soften a little,I shouldn't be angry at him,he wasn't the one that placed his legs on my way

I rounded up my food fast and lay back on the bed feeling a slight headache

"You should change your wear, you're sweating"Ibrahim said

"I'm lazy,I can't change my clothes"I said and he shakes his head standing up,he came closer to me helping me out of my dress and helped me with the new one that he brought from home,this one was lighter than the one I was wearing before

Ibrahim decided to join me in the bed,I made space for him and he lay on the bed beside me,I placed my head on his chest sighing and remembered what Abubakar said earlier

"Do you care about me?"I asked him raising my head to look at his face,he furrowed his brows looking confused

"Why not,I care about you"he replied

"Like really really really care about me?"I asked again I wanted to be sure

"What are you trying to say Aishah,what are you getting at?"he asked

"I just wanted to know"I said shrugging placing my head on his chest again

"Will you ever let another man have me or touch me?"I asked again breaking the silence

"I will never do that,it's just like asking me to slit my throat by myself"he replied

"Are you sure?"I asked

"Sleep Aishah,you talk a lot"he said silencing me up

I close my eyes and felt how tired they were,I yawned and fell asleep soon after

The doctor came the following day to check up on me,he was pleased I was okay and said the bleeding was caused because of the impact I had with the floor and it was a minor issue,he was also pleased that nothing happened to my baby and I couldn't thank Allah any less

He told Ibrahim I was ready to be discharge around 12 in the afternoon and I was glad,I really want to leave the hospital,the doctor left after that leaving Ibrahim and me

I went to had my bath and changed my wears looking at my growing stomach,I can't believe it's already five months I got pregnant and I have four more months to go,I smiled feeling all jittery before leaving the bathroom,I met Ibrahim in the room preparing tea for two

"Thank you so much"I said sitting down taking one of the cup of tea

"Stop saying that,I already had enough of your thank yous"he said and I chuckled

The door suddenly swung open revealing Fareedah who stood akimbo frowning her face

"Why am I the last person to hear about you been admitted in the hospital"she said angrily while I roll my eyes

"Good morning to you too Fareedah"I said and she rolled her eyes

"Good morning Ibrahim"she said ignoring me

"Morning"Ibrahim replied excusing us

"You didn't tell me anything happened yesterday,why am I always the last person to know whatever happens to my bestie"she said angrily standing akimbo and I chuckled

"I pity Rauf"I said laughing while she glared at me before bursting out laughing

"Like seriously what happened,Qadirah only told me you fell and bleed when I went to visit her"

"When we ended the call we had yesterday,Qadirah called me immediately and told me she gave birth out of happiness I was rushing into my room to get ready only for Halimat to put her leg on my way and I fell"I explained and Fareedah's expression moved from shocked to anger

"Don't she knows you're pregnant?!"she exasperated

"I don't know what's her aim Fareedah,I'm just too young for all this I'm just twenty for Allah's sake"I said frustratedly

"This is serious Aishah,you have to do something"she said

"What am I going to do?"I asked

"I don't know but you should be careful people like her won't hesitate to kill you"Fareedah said and I nodded

"You hit a point there"I said and we remain quiet enjoying eachother's company,I started eating my food slowly

"Have you seen Qadirah's baby?"Fareedah asked breaking the silence

"No I haven't,I planned on visiting her tomorrow"

"That nigga beat Faiza from head to toe"she said chuckling swapping through her phone "see this fine guy,this guy fine die"she said and I smiled collecting the phone from her

I look at Qadirah's baby and cooed,the baby was so beautiful even though he's a boy he look like a girl,hairy with pink lips

"And she told me they planned on naming him Fareed"she said bouncing on her seat and I laughed, Fareedah will never change even though she will be a married woman soon

"My nephew is very handsome,I can't deny"

"You can't deny it my sister and afterall he bears my name,I'm going to spoil him,I planned on marrying him to my future daughter"She said and I bursted out laughing

"You're not even pregnant yet you want to marry someone to your unborn baby"I said shaking my head

"It's not like I won't ever be pregnant,how are you feeling now?"she asked

"I'm better,the doctor said I will be discharged by noon"

"What about my godchild?"she asked

"Safe and sound"I replied and she heaved

"Ok dear,I have to go I just rushed from Qadirah's place to come and greet you when she told me what happened"

"I appreciate babe and sorry for not calling you to let you know yesterday,things went fuzzy"I said

"Ah never mind,I was only joking"she said standing up and I did thesame,I hugged her and walk with her outside the hospital,I met Ibrahim talking with one of the nurses,he discharged her as soon as he sees us walking over to meet us

"Thanks for coming Fareedah"he said

"Ah don't mention,she's my bestie remember?"Fareedah said and he smiled

Fareedah greeted us her final goodbye leaving and I went back inside the room,my mom came soon after checking up on me and before we knew it,it was already 12 and I'm free to go home

I was so happy because I'm already tired of the hospital,I needed to breath in fresh air,Ibrahim drove me out of the hospital back to the house

I met Halimat sitting on the sofa watching the television,she didn't even bother sparing us a glance and I got angry,how can she be so calm after doing what she did,what if something went wrong

I shook my head and headed to my room thanking Allah that nothing happened to me and the pregnancy

The following day Ibrahim was already out of the house and I decided it was time I paid Qadirah a visit,I wanted to see my beautiful nephew

I had my bath and wore a black abaya matching it up with a gold veil and slippers,I took my gold purse inserting my phone in it before stepping out of my room

I met Halimat in the sitting room watching movie and I wondered if she  never do anything other thing other than watching movies

"Aishah!"she called my name stopping me from going out,I roll my eyes wondering what she's up to this time around

"Are you not tired already"I said checking the time

"I haven't even start anything Aishah,you're too small for me to deal with that's why I'm warning you now"

"I don't get you,what are you warning me about? Ehh I didn't stop Ibrahim from getting married to you,I haven't been in your neck since you came into this house neither did I do anything when you tried killing me three days back"I said slightly annoyed

"Of course you didn't do any of those but you're the cause of everything happening in my life,you took away my happiness from me,Aishah I swore to you I'm going to make sure you regret your life,I'm going to make sure you regret the day you were born"Halimat said and I stood looking at her warily

What's wrong with this lady

I shook my head and left her presence,I wasn't going to give her any of my time again,I left the house and successful arrived at Qadirah's house

She was so happy to see me and I was glad to see her too,I took her baby from her admiring the little angel,he surely has the face to die for,he look so handsome that I wondered how jealous a lot of people are going to be

"You know this boy doesn't look like the both of you"I said refering to Qadirah and her husband

"What do you mean?"she said jokingly

"He is just too beautiful and you know the both of you ain't this beautiful"I say while Qadirah chuckled laughing hard

"It's not bad being a mother of a beautiful boy"she said admiring her baby in my hand,I smiled holding her hand

"I'm so happy for you Qadirah, almighty Allah blessed you with the most wonderful gift one can ever ask for,you're blessed with Faiza and Fareed you should be grateful always"I said and smiled

"I'm grateful dearest sister,what more can I ask for,here am I with two beautiful kids and a lovely husband,I'm happy and grateful"she said and I smiled

Truth been told,Qadirah is the luckiest of us all so far,she has a loving husband,two beautiful kids and happy marriage home,I wasn't jealous of her I'm just happy for her and wish for thesame for myself

I spent the day with her talking about  everything we see, cooking, helping her with the dish and her clothes,mom came hours later and joined us

It was visible how happy and contented my mom was,it feels so nice seeing her happy even though my dad wasn't here to witness this day with us
