I WOKE UP running to the bathroom because I felt the urge to vomit,I vomited everything inside me inside the toilet feeling weak,I sat down on the bathroom floor patting heavily while Ibrahim rush inside the bathroom patting my back soothingly

"How are you feeling?"he asked

"Better"I replied washing my mouth,Ibrahim carried me in a bridal style and took me to bed covering me with the duvet because I was feeling cold

"Let me get you something to eat"he said and left the room

Time flew so fast that I began to wonder if the world is coming to an end,I stepped out of the tailoring shop rushing fast to my car to avoid the harsh rays of the sun when my phone suddenly rings

I picked the call and it was no any other person but Fareedah

"Salam Aleikum"I greeted

"Waleikum salam"she replied "where are you?"

"I went to collect the wedding wear from Suleiman"I replied, Suleiman is one of our favourite customer

"Oh okay,can we meet in the mall?"

"Sure of course"I replied and ignited my car engines

I arrived at the mall few minutes later and searched for Fareedah,it wasn't hard for me to locate her,I waved at her and she smiled walking over to meet me

"Oh my Gosh you're really getting fat Aishah"she said playfully while I roll my eyes

"I'm not getting fat Fareedah it's just the pregnancy"I said smiling while she nodded smiling

"Your belly is really getting big,I never thought this day will come this soon"she said earning a smack from me

"You talk to much,what brought you here?"I asked

"Well humm I wanted to get a beautiful gown for the engagement party"she said winking while I smiled

Least I forget Fareedah got engaged to Rauf a week ago after the end of our final exams,they decided to celebrate their engagement and the real wedding will be holding in three months time

"That will be great"

"What colour do you think that fits me?"she asked as we rummage through the female wears section of the mall

"I don't know but I think blue or wine will go"I replied and she nodded in approval

"So how's Ibrahim's wedding holding up?"she asked thesame time I pull out a red dress

"I don't know,I really don't wanna know what's going on all I know is the wedding will be held this weekend"I said shrugged tossing the gown to her while she caught it with ease

"This is serious and probably she will be living with you guys"she said pulling out a maroon gown

"Yeah so I heard,we will be living in thesame roof,I don't really care though as far we both stay on our lane"I replied trying to pull out a pink gown

"Let me see that gown"she said taking the pink gown from my hand

"The design is beautiful but the colour is too childish"Fareedah said tsking while my eyes suddenly land on a dark blue and dark ash imprinted gown

"Look at this one"I say gaining her attention and she suddenly smiled widely

"This is all I need"she says and I toss the gown to her "let me change"she said and walk away to the changing room

Not long enough she was back looking glorious in the gown,the gown look so beautiful on the gown,the gown was so perfect matching all her curves and edges,she looks expensive and I couldn't help but gawk

"You're so lucky I'm pregnant,I would have taking that gown from you"I said and she laughed

She went back and changed to her normal wear paying for the gown and we also bought matching shoe and purse,we greeted ourselves good bye later promising to attend each others occasion

The remaining days pass in a blur and I woke up to see Ibrahim sitting down at the edge of the bed with his hand running through his hair like someone in a deep thought

I yawn silently and checked the time,it was 3:00am in the night and I wondered what kept him up by this time

"Ibrahim?"I called with my voice sounding hoarse probably from the sleep

"Yes"he turn around and smiled at me

"What's wrong?"I asked

"Nothing I'm fine"

"You look like someone in deep thought"I said not giving up easily

"Seriously I'm fine,let's go back to bed before morning comes"he said laying beside me drawing me closer to himself,he sniffed me and sigh closing his eyes

"Are you sure?"I asked with a very low voice

"Let's sleep"he said in a final tone shutting me up,I knew immediately something was off though I couldn't place my hand on it and I believe it has something to do with the wedding coming up this morning

I yawn feeling sleepy again and I close my eyes going back to sleep

The morning came earlier than I expected,I wake up alone in the bed and I knew Ibrahim was getting himself ready for his wedding,I yawn stepping out of the bed

I brush my teeth and prayed before going to the kitchen,I decided to prepare something simple before he leaves for the wedding Niqqah

I left the kitchen going to Ibrahim's room to let him know he's breakfast is ready,I entered his room without knocking and met him already dressed in a white kaftan,I smiled and went close to him helping him to button the hands of his kaftan,he smiled looking down to look at my face while I help him with buttoning the chest button

"You look nice"I said brushing an imaginary dirt from his kaftan

"I know you're not happy"he whispered

"What choice do I have?"I said looking up at him smiling,he bend down and gave me a dry kiss

"Can you promise me something?"he asked

"What?"I said wondering what he wants me to promise him

"Promise me you will always understand,you will always trust me and every decision I make and most importantly stay clear from Halimat,I know it's not easy sharing thesame house with her but you have to please don't let her get to you"

"This is much"I said chuckling dryly "I will try my best"

"Not your best Aishah,I want a promise from you,I promise you this won't go on forever"he said and I look into his eyes looking for any type of mischievousness but I found none,he look so genuine and innocent like he is pouring out all his hidden feelings and also enchanting me in his spell that I don't know when I said yes

"Yes,I promise to trust you in every decision you make"

"I love you"he said smiling genuinely

"I love you"I repeated and he lean over giving me another kiss

I helped him getting ready before he left the house showering me with lots of love,promises and also letting me know he loves me more than he loved anyone

He really helped my sour mood,I smiled thinking about all he did before leaving the house and I found myself looking forward to the life we will have when we become a polygamous family,I went to the bathroom taking my shower before dressing into the Ankara I went to collect from Suleiman few days ago

The Niqqah was successfully done pronouncing Ibrahim and Halimat husband and wife,soon enough it was time for the reception and everywhere was filled with expensive people,mere looking at them you know they're elites and I was sure Halimat came from a wealthy family

My sister came with Faiza,Fareedah was present too keeping me company saying they don't want me to get sad,I smiled at them leaving their company to grab something to eat when I bumped into my mother in law

"Mama"I said smiling widely while she only smiled briefly

"What are you doing here?"she asked and I was surprised

What kind of question is she asking

"Ibrahim's wedding and I'm his first wife"I said trying to make her connect the dots

"Oh I see how's the baby kicking?"she asked looking at my baby bump

"Alhamdulillah,how's daddy?"I asked

"He's fine"

"Ok then I will get going"I said because everywhere is so awkward that you can feel it in the air

"Do you know Halimat?"she asked stopping me from walking away

"Yes"I replied cautiously

"Well you shouldn't piss her up, she's everything we need in a daughter in law"she said walking away more like swaying

I stood motionless trying to figure out what just happened,I thought she loves me and why do she think I'm going to piss her new daughter in law up

I shook my head trying to calm down and start walking away when I came in contact with no any other person but Ibrahim's aunt and cousin

"Wow she's finally pregnant"Aunt Lariyah said while Fatimat laughed

"Who knows if it's fake pregnancy trying to stop Ibrahim from getting married to a real woman"Fatimat added and my body grew hot,I became so angry that I almost gave them a comeback but decided against it,I knew their plans they want to rile me up so that everybody can call me a jealous and evil co wife

"Greetings Aunt Lariyah and Fatimat"I said smiling sweetly at them which I'm sure riled them up

"Don't greet me you fool,do I look like I need your greetings"Fatimat said rolling her eyes while I smiled once more trying to keep my temper in Check,if I was a cartoon character by now my ears should be steaming off with smoke out of anger

"I'm so sorry I will keep that in mind for a next time"I said sweetly

"Sorry for yourself and let me let you know,Ibrahim is just getting married,I never see you as his wife"Aunt Lariyah said and I decided one comeback won't hurt much

"That's so excellent because I never needed anybody to see me as his wife as far as he sees me as one and calls me the love of his life" I said stressing the love of his life before walking away from them

I walk briskly looking for a chill water to cool me down before going back to meet Fareedah and Qadeerah absolutely loosing my appetite

Thanks for the facade I put on they weren't able to detect something is wrong with me

The wedding came to an end sooner than expected or let's say I doze off most of the time,I went back home earlier directing Halimat's family where her room is located so that they can move her stuffs in,I went ahead to cook dinner for the three of us thinking first impression matters a lot

Not long enough Halimat was excorted with two young female adults from her family who will be spending the night over,we were formally introduce letting her know I'm the elder and she's the younger one and we greeted eachother warmly like we didn't harbor hatred for eachother

I asked her and the girls who came with her if she wants to eat which they flatly replied no and I decided to mind my business

Seconds change to minutes, minutes changes to hours without seeing any sign of Ibrahim which get me worried,I dial his number and he picked on the fourth ring

"Where are you?"I asked as soon as he picks the call

"I'm busy and I will be back tomorrow"He said hanging the call on me like I wasn't the one that called him, I shrugged and decided to go to bed when I suddenly see someone standing next to me,my soul almost jumped out of my body

"What are you doing in my room?"I whispered yelled angrily seeing Halimat smirking with her chubby face

"I'm just here to warn you,stay away from Ibrahim he is mine and I don't like sharing,the best advice I can give you is for you to divorce him because you will leave the rest of your life regretting not doing so"she said turning around walking out of my room while I opened my mouth ajar

Then I knew right then that more dramas are going to unfold as the days passed by which led me asking myself
