I STEPPED DOWN from my car trying to walk to my office when a car suddenly stopped beside me and I knew it was Abubakar

He stepped down from the car and approach me,I smiled at him and tried to give him a bro hug which he rejected

"What's up man?"I asked confused at his sudden behaviour

"What games are you playing?"he asked

"Game?"I asked confused because I don't know what's going on

"Yes game,what game are you playing with Aishah because it's not getting funny anymore"

"I'm not playing any game with my wife"I replied anger slowly raising up in me

"Oh so you know now she's your wife,when you basically shove her out for the past two years now"

"What's your problem Abubakar because as you can see maybe she haven't told you she's okay with the change"

"I'm not okay with it because you already know I wanted her out of your house,you can never treat her right"he half yelled

"And who says you're the one that can treat her right,you have to let go Abubakar because she's already mine"

"I met her first"

"But fate brought us together,forget about Aishah and look for someone else"

"I'm not giving up Ibrahim because you're going to hurt her,you're not capable of falling in love with any woman"

"Don't judge me by my past Abubakar I'm ready to change for Aishah because she's different"

"Why don't I believe you"

"I don't have time for this because I have something important to do"I said and walk out on him

I went straight to my office and my secretary told me my dad wanted to see me

I left my office and went straight to my dad's office,I met my dad sitting and talking with Halimat and her dad sitting down, Halimat turned to look at me when she sensed my presence by giving me a devilish smirk,my body went cold immediately

This shit is getting tougher

Aishah

I came back from school late and decided to  prepare dinner fast,I don't want Ibrahim coming home hungry,I quickly change my wear and went inside the kitchen preparing the first thing that comes to my mind which is macaroni

I rounded up fast and went to the sitting room watching movie waiting for Ibrahim to come back from work

Not long enough the door suddenly opened revealing a distressed Ibrahim

"Today's tough?"I asked helping him with his bag

"Kinda"he replied nodding

He went inside his room to shower while I helped him in arranging his dinner,soon enough he was back sitting at the dinning room

He was only playing with the food and not eating,I got worried because I don't know what's wrong with him

"You don't like the food?"I asked

"The food is okay"he replied not blessing me with his glance as he continue playing with his food

"What's wrong with you?"I was getting more worried

"Stop asking me those questions I'm fine!"he yelled at me standing up

I got tensed surprised at his sudden outburst,I stood up for awhile contemplating on what to do,I decided to check up on him and help him out maybe he was having a bad day

I went inside his room and met him laying his bed with his hands crossed on his head like he was deeply in thought,he tossed and tossed and made me much more worried because I wasn't sure what is going on

I sat beside him on his bed only then was he aware of my presence,he turned the other side backing me

"What's wrong with you,you know you can tell me anything because we are friends and friends do share their problems"I say and he turn around facing me

"Go to your room"he said and tried turning back while I stopped him by holding him

"You have to listen to me Ibrahim because you're getting me worried,this is not the usual you"I said feeling much more worried

"How do you even know the usual me,Aishah for once just get out of my room I don't feel like talking to you"

"But I do share my problems with you"

"That's because you want to,I didn't force it out of you,I don't want to have anything to do with you period"he said with a final tone turning his back against me

"Ibrahim!"I called quietly

"Just get out of my room"he said obviously pissed

"I'm not leaving you"I said and lay next to him though he was backing me,I wrapped my hands around him and soon enough I found myself falling asleep

I turn around and met Aishah sleeping,I got sad and kissed her forehead pulling her closer to myself while sob quietly

Why nothing good last in my life

My mind drifted back to when I was in the office and everything that happened

"You are here"my dad said smiling at me,I got confused but sit down eventually

"Yes you called for me"I replied

"Yeah I have something important for you,Mr Kandiri here and his daughter came with a proposal"my dad said and I looked at Halimat and her dad

"What's it?"I asked not liking every bit of what's happening

"You know Mr Kandiri is one of the biggest share holder in this company,so he suggested we merge his company and mine by you getting married to his daughter Halimat"

"But I'm already married"I said frowning

"It doesn't matter because I your dad got married to two women,it's not bad if you do"

"I don't want to"I replied getting really pissed

"Think about it son,this will help you build your company more because I'm going to invest more on the company and help you fight and conquer all competitor"Mr Kandiri said

"The company is running well"

"Not good as it seems anyways I heard you once had a thing for my daughter"Mr Kandiri said smirking

"That was then sir"I replied

"Think about it Ibrahim because this company will be yours soon,you wouldn't want to kill your dad's legacy"he said and stood up "I will be back for replies"he said and Halimat stood up too

"I want to talk to you privately"I told Halimat and she smirked nodding her head in approval

We left the office and I walked her to mine,I slammed the door as soon as we entered my office

"What's the meaning of all that!"I roared

"Relax Ibrahim relax"she replied with a playful tone and I felt like strangling her

"What's your aim,I thought you were finally out of my life"

"Giving you peace for two months doesn't mean I'm outta your life Abba"she said seductively holding my tie "the truth is Ibrahim I can't imagine myself with another man,it's you I want and I will go to any extent to get what I want"

"You're sick!"I said pushing her hands away from me and my tie

"You can say that again but let me warn you because you better choose wisely,It's either you say yes to the proposal get married to me and save your company or say no and the company dies"

"I don't care about the company Halimat because I'm never going to marry you"

"Keep dreaming till Aishah comes into the picture,you wouldn't want her hurt do you"she said and chuckled slyly "don't let your decision destroy her,she's the main target here"

"I will get you arrested if you try anything funny with her"

"Oh my! You forgot to know who my dad is,the most powerful man here in Zaria,infact Kaduna as a whole try messing up with me and see Aishah's head delivered in a platter of gold"she smiled and tried to walk out while I stopped her

"Why are you doing all this,any man will want to end up with you"I said already feeling sick

"I don't want any man Ibrahim, I want you and you alone,think about it"she said and left the office

My body went numb immediately, thinking of different ideas and scenarios that can happen,I was so stupid for underestimating Halimat forgetting the kind of family she came from

I left my office and went back to my dad's office meeting him alone in the office

"What's the meaning of this dad!"I yelled

"Meaning of what?"

"Meaning of everything that's going on,you got me married to Aishah at first without seeking my permission now you want to do the same with Halimat"I said placing up and down in the office

"I regretted getting you married to Aishah because no good came out of it,she's unable to give me a grandchild and here comes an opportunity for you to enter into a powerful family and you're angry with me,you suppose to be happy that I'm doing this for you"

"You're not doing anything for me dad,you're destroying my life,  fine! You got me married to Aishah at first which I didn't approve of but now we are living fine,we Found love and living fine why must you messed it up with this"

"What's love Ibrahim,what do you know that's called love,you should be happy I'm doing this for you,there's so many people out there that will do anything to become part of the Kandiri's family"

"I'm not doing dad even if it means I quit the company,I'm not doing!"I said with final tone

"Then you will be left with nothing because everything you are now comes from me and also saying no to this also mean destroying the company,think about your younger ones Abba think about them because this company's main share holder is Kandiri's,just imagine 50% of the company's fund is out tell me aren't we going bankrupt"my dad said and I remain quiet for awhile

If Mr Kandiri's share is 50% basically he is the owner of the company because we have other share holders and we can't have up to 50% in the company's share

"Why am I just knowing about this dad how will you let someone share bigger than yours?"I asked getting more spiced up

"We run out of money Abba,when your sister got sick I spent a lot and the company started going down,then Mr Kandiri came to my aid"he said and I remain quiet

"There's no other way out of this?"I asked quietly falling into depression

"No"

I quiet down because I didn't want to wake Aishah up,I was happy for meeting her and making me one of the happiest man on earth between this few months but I have to do this I got no other choice

I have to sacrifice to make people around me safe especially Aishah,I kissed her one more time before picking her up taking her to her room
