Agda
I run, scanning the mailbox numbers. 295, 297, 299, 301. I stop. The house looks freshly painted. Of course her sister repainted the house, I think. She gets bored every week.
The house is a peachy white with specks of gold. The door and windows are outlined in pure gold, and the door knob is also gold, formed as the shape as a diamond.
I quietly knock, just so only sensitive ears can hear. Then in less then 5 seconds a small purple eye is staring into my dark hazel eyes.
"You didn't do the secret knock Agave! How do I know who you are if you don't do the secret knock?" The voice giggled. Every time I hear that voice I think, how did she ever end up being my best friend.
"You said my name, therefore you know who I am, so open the door Agda." I said, watching out for the she devil. AKA my mom.
"UGGG! Your no fun!" She responded, sounding a little upset. "Come in."
I walk into the shiniest house I've ever seen.
"Hey Agave." Her sister says. "How many days?" She asks.
"Only 2."I say.
She shoots a glance at me. "You've really got to move out of that place dear. "When do you plan to talk to your dad?"
"I can't yet! He's in a bad space right now. He's trying to get a job as one of the costume designers for district 12. That's stressful." I said impatiently, cause I've told her this many, many times.
"ENOUGH TALK! COME TO MY ROOM!" Agda shrieks in my good ear, and drags me to her room.
