As Leonidias and I were leaving the park, I almost got hit by a brown haired idiot on a bike.

"HEY!!! Watch where your going moron!!!" I yelled at him while I was falling backwards.

"Oh! I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" "Yeah. I guess." I said a bit annoyed.

"My name's Dan. Dan Kuso." He said as he offered me his hand. I hesitated but took his hand and he pulled me up from the ground.

"I'm Casey." I said with a small smile.

"Uhh is that bakugan yours?" Dan asked me as he pointed to the ground. I turned around and saw Leonidias.

"Ahhh! Leo are you ok!?!?" I screamed as I picked him up. "Never EVER sit on me again!"

"I'm so sorry. I didn't realize-" I was interrupted by an excited Dan. " Wow! Did your bakugan just talk to you?" I looked at him confused. "Yeah. Don't all bakugans talk?" "No! That's so cool!" 'What!?!? But that doesn't make sense! Then why can Leonidias talk?'

My thoughts were interrupted by Mr. Can't shut his mouth. "Hey Casey." "Yeah?" "I was just on my way to a battle. Wanna come?" 'What in the world is a battle?' I asked myself. 'Maybe I should go to figure what he's talking about.'

"Sure Dan." I said to him with a small smile. "Awesome. I'll walk with you so you don't get left behind." "Okay. Shall we go?" I said a little excited as I began walking with Leonidias beside me. "Let's go!"

"So your a darkus brawler?" I looked at him confused and it's like he read my mind. "You know since your bakugan is a darkus attribute." "Ohh. Yeah. I'm a darkus brawler but I'm still a newbie so I forget sometimes." I lied. "Well maybe you can learn a thing or two." Dan said with a huge smirk on his face. "Maybe."

Dan and I kept walking until we reached two boys. One was small and had reddish colored hair in a baseball cap. The other was bigger and looked a lot older and he had black hair.

"Sorry I'm late." Dan said to the smaller boy. "And here I thought you might a chickened out." The little boy said

"Dought that, Akira. And who did you bring with you. I hope it's back up cause you'll need it."

"Your battle isn't with me Danny-boy." Then the big guy stood up. "Wow. I don't think this is really fair."

"My little bro tells me you think you're pretty good. Well I guess it's time to figure out how good you really are. And who's the babe?" He said pointing to me with a flirtatious smile.

I stood there in complete shock. ' I know he did not just call me babe!' I mentally screamed. "My NAME is Casey! And yeah Dan is pretty good!" ' What am I saying!!! I barely met this guy and I don't even know what's about to happen!'

"So what's your deal." Dan finally spoke again. "Name's Shuji and I'm the master of subterra space."

"Y-you gotta be joking. I've never heard of subterra before. Ohh great. How am I supposed to battle against a beast that doesn't even exist." Dan announced.

"Quit your stalling!!!" Shuji said quite annoyed. "Okay lets do this. But I got to warn you, I've never lost a battle before."

"Are you ready or what?" Then Dan and Shuji took out their 'cards' is what they looked like and they said "Bakugan field open!" And this crazy light show started to happen. It was so bright that I had to cover my eyes.

( Time skip till after the battle )

When I was finally able to open, Shuji was on the ground whining. "You promised me you would clean his cloak. What happened?!?" I heard Akira say as I ran over to where Dan was.

"Dan! What's going on?!?" Dan looked at me like I was going crazy. "What do you mean? You didn't see me kick he's butt?" "No." "Oh. Well I did!!!" I rolled my eyes playfully. "Whatever you say." I said mumbling as we walked away from a whining Shuji and a confused Akira.

"Hey Casey!" "Yeah?" "Where do yea live?" "WHAT!?!? Why are you asking?!?! " I looked at him with anger and confusion. Dan put he's hands up in defense.

" I-i was asking so I could walk you home." "Ohh. I'm sorry I went off on you like that." "Nah.  It's cool. That did sound kinda weird. " Dan said as we both laughed nervously.

"So where do you live. " " Uhh. I don't live anywhere." "What do you mean?" "Well I kinda don't know where I am or what I'm doing here." "Well how did you meet Leonidias?" "We just met before you tried to run Casey over with that thing, human!" Leonidias answered for me.

"Yeah that's pretty much what happened." I said with a smile.

"Well since it sounds like both of you have no where to go, you can come to my house." I looked at him with a 'Really. This again. ' look.

"Uhh...Fine. But if something funny is going on, I'm gonna-" I was interrupted by Leonidias. "Just don't try anything!"

"O-okay. Let's go."

As we began walking Leonidias was whispering something to me. "Casey do you think we can trust him?"

"I don't know. But we just have to for now until we see what's up with him." Leo nodded in agreement.

Dan's point of view

'What's Casey's deal? Why does she think I'm out to get her?' I asked myself. 'Oh well. I'll figure it out later.' I finally realized Casey was way behind me. "Hey! Casey! Hurry up!"

"I'm coming!" She yelled back as she was running to me."My house is just past here."
