"Um, hey Mateo," I say, it was awkward at the movies. 

We didn't really talk and we couldn't agree on a movie. "Yeah" he replied flatly.

 "Wanna go to the um, party with me?"

 "I'm sorry, but you've been keeping secrets from me and I know it. 

So no, I can't" He says, with no hesitation. 

Its like he was planning this, and I couldn't help but ask who he was going with.

 "I don't know," but I could tell he did.

Noah's POV

I can't believe that Rose's parents won't let us go to the party together. 

I was really hoping to have a fun time. 

Well I guess I won't be able to go unless someone else asks me.

 I went to look for a suit for the party, but I wasn't sure whether to buy one or not. 

So I got out my fether phone and started to call Rose. 

That was when I saw this stunning suit that would match with anything, like Rose's dress I thought. 

It was like it was calling out my name so I decided to buy it.

 My budget was 100$ so I hoped it would be less than that. 

I went into the shop and asked a worker how much the suit was. 

I prayed I had enough money. 

"The suit is 115$" The worker said.

My heart sank. I ran out of the shop and sat on the bench outside. 

I heard someone say "Are you okay" and I recognized that it was Rose. 

I looked up, it wasn't Rose, it was someone else. 

"I am fine" I said lying.

 "At least someone is having a better day than me" I heard her whisper.

 "I'm not fine.

 I heard my best friend's parents say that we couldn't go to the party together and now the suit I want to buy is out of my budget." I blurted out. 

" Ok well maybe we could go to the party together" she asked softly. 

"That would be great!" "And about that suit how much money would you need. I can give 20$ no more than that" 

''Oh my god thank you so much, thats all I need!!"

Alana's POV:

We went inside the shop and bought the suit.

 Noah was really happy and for once today I felt like everything would be okay.

 We went to Noah's room "Are you sure I am allowed to be here?" I asked 

"It's fine no one comes in here anyways, other than Rose but we currently not on speaking terms. 

We talked for a bit and I showed him a picture of my dress on my feather phone.

 He loved it and said he couldn't wait for the party.

Mateos POV

I'm sad to tell Alana no, but best friends don't keep secrets.

 "I don't know," I tell Alana. But truly I do, I really want to go with Rose, she is the Heir but still.

 Her blond wavy hair, her green eyes, and her sense of fashion. 

I don't know her too well, so I don't think she has a date yet. 

Even though she likes that peasant, ugh.

So I make my way to the Heirs, white and gold, castle.

  Knock Knock, "hello, what can I do for you?" said Rose.

 I was holding red flowers and a card. 

"Aw, is that for me?" 

"Yes, will you be my date to the party?" I say hopefully.

 "Why not? Do you have a suit?" she says. 

I'm a little nervous because I don't want her to think I'm poor.

 "Um no," "Perfect! I have a suit ready for you, it matches mine!" 

This is all going to be okay, I thought.
