Background

For centuries, the Order of the Black Lotus has operated beyond the laws of the realm of magic. Originally started by dark magicians who wished not to conform to the rules set by the Eldenarian Council, it has evolved into an intricate society with plenty of allies, power, and influence. Its secrecy still remains intact. Leadership has been shuffled from many hands, but it has secretly been under the jurisdiction of Thorian Tedorof for the past two decades. With the help of his twelve knights, he hopes to use the order to help dismantle the council, as he aspires to be the one true king of the entire world.

Castle Braexus

Castle Braexus is one of the most formidable fortresses on the planet, rivaling that of the jungle prison of Nyghtmir, Thania's island palace, and the well-guarded Eldenarian Palace itself. Gargoyles reside in the high rafters, waiting to swoop down on any trespassers. Dozens of charms and hexes have been placed about the grounds in an effort to keep the castle secret and safe from their enemies.

Situated in the dark forests of Eastern Romania, the castle boasts various towers, courtyards, and a large hall that houses its portal gate. An expansive array of tunnels and dungeons populate the ground beneath it, serving as hidden passageways and meeting places for whoever is savvy enough to navigate them. Obscurindell Tenebris' coffin is buried deep beneath the castle.

It's the headquarters of House Tenebris, but also the secret meeting place for the Order. The Shades meet in the shadows of the dungeons, away from the eyes of those who may expose them to the council. While it's not been confirmed that the castle houses the Shades, anyone with sense knows that Castle Braexus is a sinister place.
