Chapter 13

Steve looked in the mirror to look and moved his hair back so it was all neatly gelled back out of his face. He was preparing for his date with Tony's mystery girl and although blind dates weren't his thing he was still at least going to try and be a gentleman.

So he told Tony that he would pick her up and drop her off back at her house. He knew that this was most likely not going to go anywhere but he was willing to try. Although it seemed ridiculous to put so much effort into something that he didn't expect to work his mother taught him to always teach a woman with respect. So respect is what he would show her.

"I still don't understand why you are going on this stupid date," Wanda muttered. She came over to help her brother dress for the date and she was not too happy to hear he was going on a blind date.

"Wanda." Steve sighed.

"Don't Wanda me. I know you two were just fakers because no matter how good she was at lying you were terrible but the way you looked at her wasn't a lie. You danced with her like she was the only person in the world. You looked at her the way Dad looks at mom! You talk to her the way James talks to me, Steve!" Wanda was very upset, Natasha was one of the few women who seems to actually like Steve and not just for his body.

"Wanda I- I don't know what to tell you. We just don't like each other that way." He said. Although he had small feeling buried up inside him that try desperately to come out when Natasha was near he couldn't say the same for her. "Now will you please help me pick out an outfit?"

"Fine." She huffed although not believing his story for even a second. "I should make you look bad but it hurts me too much to do so." She said. Steve smiled at his sister as she walked into the closet and went through his closet.

Most of his clothes were rather older. He liked an older style, too much of Wanda's dismay. She had bought him a more updated look but he wasn't all for it. He was like an old soul. Not many women appreciated that. Some even made fun of his style and the fact that he worked at a library. But Natasha seemed to be the only woman Wanda has ever met to appreciate such things.

"Here this outfit is nice. It's kinda modern but still has your touch of oldies to it and it's very sophisticated." Wanda smiled as she handed him a brown sweater with a white button up to go underneath and then a pair of blue denim pants and brown shoes.

"Thank you, Wanda, what would I do without you?" He smiled as he placed the outfit out on his bed to examine.

"No problem big brother. And you would probably be a huge fashion disaster." She smiled. "Have fun on your date. And if things go good, well dump her and go talk to Natasha." She said Steve shook his head as he watched his sister leave his apartment.

"Well, this is gonna be a long night." He sighed looking back down at the cloths. He sighed and grabbed the shoes to go dresses and then head out to pick up his date.

Concurrently, Natasha and Maria were getting their hair done for their date as well. They decided to start off at a restaurant and maybe head out to the bar for some drinks afterward. Natasha was curling her hair and Maria was straightening hers.

They both went out to buy new dresses early that evening because whether or not they had a date they were in need of new fancy dresses. Maria's dress was a black skin-tight dress that she was pairing with red high heels, that were bound to make her feet hurt by the end of the night but it made her outfit pop. She decided to match her lipstick to her heels and did bright red makeup.

While Maria decided to look stunning and eye turning for her date Natasha went a little less flash but still hot. Her dress was a dark blue velvet dress that had a large v neck opening reveling a little bit. She chose some black high heels that were almost a boot but had an opening on the heel. Her make was lighter and she did a nude lip and a golden eyeshadow.

They finished getting ready and headed out for their dates. They decided to just meet the guys over there because if things don't work out they would rather not have the guys know where they live. Problems like that have happened before.

They arrived at a small restaurant where just across the street was a bar. They saw the guys dress in t-shirts and jeans. Not as dressed up as the girls but they still looked hot.

"Oo la is that my very sexy looking date?" Sam asked Maria, he was such a flirt and everyone knew that so it didn't bother them. Although Maria was rolling her eyes very far back and even sent a glare Natasha's way. Which was brutally ignored.

"You must be Tyler," Natasha said smiling at the man standing beside Sam. He nodded and held out his hand.

"Yeah uh I guess that's me. Well I know that's me." He blabbered. Natasha found it a bit weird, the only man she thought was adorable when the blabbered was Steve. "Shall we sit?"

Steve had just picked up Sharon from her house and so far it wasn't very ideal. She opened the door and Steve was greeted by a frown and asked what he was wearing. She said it was old and he should dress better. Although Steve had known Sharon for some time due to her crush on him a while back she still had no respect for him.

Steve tried later that night to actually be a gentleman but she just wasn't having it. When they went to sit down at the table she sat before he could even pull the chair out for her. To make matters worse she was on her phone for most of the night.

"So Sharon, what do you do for a living?" He asked, however, Sharon was not even listening to him. He coughed a little trying to get her attention but when she looked up she ended up excusing herself to go to the restroom.

Steve rubbed his temples as she walked away. It has only been less than an hour but this was already one of the worst dates she has ever had. Steve was about to take a shot of a drink when his head turned to see crimson red hair and a dark blue flowery dress blocking his view. He couldn't stop the racing of his heart when he saw her. He watched as she took a seat at the table on the other side of the room.

Natasha had walked in with Tyler. Plans had changed and Sam took Maria to the bar immediately but Natasha just wasn't feeling it. Neither had had a real conversation yet and knew that it wasn't going anywhere. It had almost been fifteen That's when she spotted a certain librarian. She smiled and told Tyler to excuse her for one second, to which he didn't mind at all.

"Well well well Steve Rogers is stalking me." She smiled at him. Steve looked up and his cheeks were flushed red.

"Hi, Natasha." He smiled.

"Hi, Steve. How are you?" He asked her.

"As good as I can be on this date. and you? Out with someone special?" She asked smirking.

"No. Blind date. Not going so well. She went to the bathroom almost ten minutes ago. I am pretty sure she left." Steve sighed. Natasha's heart clenched at how disappointing and degrading that must have felt. So she looked over her shoulder and saw Tyler was talking to a waitress and didn't even care she left.

"How about we get out of here?" She suggested. Steve looked at her confused.

"What about your date?" He asked her. Natasha shrugged and made him sit up.

"Get up. We are gonna have a fun time tonight whether you like it or not. Come on Steve!" She called out as she walked away. Steve smiled and thought what the heck. He dropped some money on the table and followed Natasha out of the room. This was going to be a intresting night.
