Brothers

"Uh..Guys?" Davey waved his arms around to get everyone's attention.

The boys continued messing around.

"Guys..?" He was still trying to get their attention.

Still chaos.

David got somewhat aggravated. "Guys!"

Really, Davey?

That's when Dave decided he wasn't gonna wait. "NEWSIES!"

They all stopped what they were doing and turned to the boy. Patrick's fist was right in front of Henry's face, about to pound it. David smiled proudly.

"Good. Now, everyone, get going." He commanded.

Nobody moved. Not even Les. Every Newsboy just stared at him. Davey felt kind of uncomfortable. Racetrack, in attempt to break the tense silence, forced his way to the front of the crowd of boys.

"What do you say?~" He teased, sticking his tongue out playfully.

They all burst out laughing.

"You know, you guys are always so immature." Dave started his speech. "Some of us are gonna-"

He glanced around the dormitory and realized that they all ran down the stairs. The teen saw the last boy's back vanish in a millisecond as he descended to the first floor. David rolled his eyes and went downstairs, running after his friends.

The Newsboys rushed through the streets of Manhattan on their way to work. They hopped across barrels, occasionally bumping into each other. Dave was the only one that just simply ran. The Newsies didn't just leap across barrels, the older boys also passed the younger kids back and forth, one of whom was Les. He didn't mind though. Then, they took turns jumping over a fence. Blink and Mush helped the little guys over it. David didn't want to be involved in any of it. He just wanted to get his newspapers and start selling.

Finally, the boys arrived at the Distribution Center and began getting in line. Jack was sitting on the staircase, waiting for his brothers to get their papes. Race was the first to get his.

"Any good headlines today?" He asked, flipping through the pages.

Cowboy leaned next to Racetrack to show him his paper. He pointed at the page he was on. Anthony nodded and checked it out. His eyes widened.

"Sheepshed's track is gettin' remade?!" The boy gasped. "Amazin'!"

"I bet you'll be the foi'st kid ta' see it." Francis told him.

"Yeah. I'll be the foi'st kid theah' and the foi'st to win a bet theah'!" He smiled widely.

"Great. But, doesn't 'dat mean you can't sell at Sheepshed until it's done?"

Race's face paled. "Oh. Yeah." He shook it off. "Well, I'll find some uddah' place, ya know?"

Jack nodded. He then noticed that most of the Newsies had gotten their papes, causing him to get up. He held his hand out to his brother. "We should get goin'. Is you comin'?"

The teen grabbed onto Cowboy's hand and pulled himself up. "Let's go."

They both let go of eachother's hands and headed off to different selling spots.

Almost there.
