The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess-chapter 9
(Just imagine chihiro's as a dark blue gem instead of purple.)
~Kairi's pov~
The light of the sun shone through the cracked window into the room I was staying at in the run down motel. The light covered my eyelids and I open my eyes slightly then instantly shut them. I sat up rubbing them fiercely. I stretched my body laying on the bed. I relaxed my muscles then sprung up from the comfy bed. I grabbed my items I carried along with me usually and walked out of the room. I headed outside, grabbed a bag of meat out of my bag, and began eating it. I waited for the other two warriors to get up and join me.
~10 minutes later~
I had finished the bag of meat, put my bag away. Hearing a door shut my ears perked. I turned my head seeing Link walking down the stairs followed by Shadow who was yawning loudly. I rolled my eyes and stood up.
"Ready to go?" Link asked.
I nodded for a brief moment.
"I'm....ready." Shadow tried to say between the yawns he made.
I sighed and began walking towards the mountain entrance. We reached the place we had started off before when the goron had knocked Link over the edge, but that was before he had the iron boots.
"I'll go first since I have the iron boots." Link offered, then climbed up the fencing on the rocky structure.
I could hear Link get the boots on and the Goron shouting at him about returning, and the grinding of the earth being dug up by the goron rolling on it. I could hear the goron get closer and closer until we heard Link grunt and yell then the goron yelled as it was thrown off the cliff. I ran to the side avoiding the giant piece of rock.
"You guys stay behind me while I throw them aside." Link said.
"Alright." I responded and climbed up the fencing while Shadow just floated up.
"You could have flied my up too!" I snarled.
"You looked like you were fine climbing." Shadow yawned.
I huffed and reached up there, we all began walking while shadow finally had a face like he was awake now while mine was a bit annoyed and pissed off.
~FF to reaching the entrance to the wrestling room~
"Well I got my exercise." Link chuckled.
I nodded with a sweat drop, and we went inside to the dark entrance. We all saw three gorons on each side of what seemed to be a wrestling ring. In the further back were two gorons guarding an entrance to someplace but we weren't sure where too. They all looked at us, got into a ball like position and got ready to come at us.
"Crap." I said looking at them.
Link got into a position to grab whichever came at him first. Shadow just glared which was no help.
"ENOUGH!" A voice called out echoing to all the gorons they all stopped and looked at the two guarding the entrance that scooted over revealing a shorter older goron. "Are these young ones such an imposing enemy that you must all gang up on them? I think not. Little brothers." The shorter goron put his hands on his hips, we all walked over being cautious of the other ones making sure they didn't make a sudden movement that may be a threat to our safety.
"I am a Goron elder, little humans. I am called Gor Coron. Because of certain...circumstances. I must lead the Goron tribe in place of Darbus, our tribal patriarch. Tell me, little humans do you come from the village below? All of you have done well to come this far. You three are strong...for humans. However....The mines beyond here are sacred to my tribe. Outsiders are not allowed. Unless...I could make an exception...but you would have to beat me in a contest of power. Are you willing to try that little human?" Coron asked basically looking at Link the whole time he spoke.
I looked at Link as he nodded. They got into the ring with the gorons, Shadow and I stood on the sides watching.
~after the match~
Link won thanks to the practice mayor Bo gave to him while we were in Ordon Village yesterday.
"You warrior....you have strong will..and sharp eyes. Fine traits. Want to see how well you can use them? You have seen it, I have bet...The mountain erupting without pause..When the mountain began to rage, all four of us elders, and Darbus our Patriarch, went inside to investigate its anger. We have a treasure entrusted to us by the spirit and we must protect it. Do you understand? But the moment Darbus reached out and touched the treasure.....everything went wrong. He collapsed....and before our very eyes transformed into an unspeakable monster! He began to rage throughout the mines, trailing ruin behind him...and the eruption grew more frequent and more severe. We use all of our power to seal him deep inside the mountain. It...grieved us to do this to our patriarch...but we had no other course of action. I ask this favor of you young warriors...Go to the aid of Darbus. Make no mistake the spirits have guided you three here. I Gor Coron, need your help..On behalf on my entire clan, i ask for your aid! ...You two! Let the young warriors pass." Coron shouted at the larger gorons by the entrance to the mine. They scooted over to let us through.
Link removed the Iron boots and put them away for later. We all walked over to the entrance then, headed into the boiling mountain getting ready to go get the next fused shadow.
~FF to when they get to Darbus~
Reaching to the room Darbus was locked away in, we had searched all over the mines, and retrieved parts of the key the elders had used to locks up Darbus in the room he now laid dormant in. I smashed a pot and out came a fairy. Link put it in a bottle. I felt sad for it since it was trapped, but it seemed to not be scared or fearful.
"We can use this encase any of us gets severely hurt." Link informed.
I nodded, we unlocked the door, and stepped inside.
The large room was dark, it had pillars around this great big creature. Its body looked like a silhouette with a large mask on it, its ankles and wrists were chained. Its legs and arms spread and contained by the large piece of metal. We all walked towards it. We could hear the heavy breathing more clearly as it slept, the body growing bigger as it inhaled then smaller as it exhaled. A light shined from the creatures mask. I covered my eyes and glanced at the stone like gem embedded in the middle of its forehead. It shined greatly and pulsed, and had eye like detail to it. The eyes on the creature itself glowed a bright red awakening from the slumber it was just in. The beast roared thrashing its head then roared moving its head closer to us pulling on its chains. Realizing it was hooked up to them, it threw its head back lighting on fire. Which where we were standing made us sweat instantly at the intense heat of its body. It yanked on its chains easily ripping them out of the rock, roared at us and charged at us as we fled away from it.
(There is a picture of it i believe on the bottom.)
I fled to the other room as Link trailed behind, it waved its chains around tempting to hit one of us as we ran fromm it. I carefully observed the forehead, got my arrows out and shoot right at the gem. In pain it roared and covered the sparking gem with its hands as it walked aroud blinded.
"Link! The chains!" I shouted.
He nodded, ran to the chains that was still securely locked around its ankles. He put the boots on as the static emerged fromm the floor to his boots keeping him down on the ground. He yanked on the chains, the creature fell and was knocked out. I ran straight over and with my sword swinged my sword and stabbed the gem. It reared its body back sitting on its knees stood up lighting on fire again and stomped over to us. I began running when smoke filled the room like how it did in the last temple.
"What the!? Link! Where are you! Link!?"
I coughed as the smoke filled my lungs causing them to burn and long for oxygen. I felt a chain whip my body into the wall near me, the burning in my stomach was so dramatic I let out a scream as i winced and held it.
"Kairi!? Are you ok!?" I could hear Link shout, but I couldn't see him anyplace.
The smoke had cleared, my eyes searched the room scanning till they fell upon Link who had the boomerang in his hand. He ran over to me.
"Kairi! your injured!" Link exclaimed. I winced at trying to get up.
"You stay down." Link picked me up the beast was in front of us, a dark cloud appeared over its head that turned into a portal.
"Hey my twin and pup, having fun in the playpen of the beast? We'll since he seems so easy for you two since you found out its weakness. Now that one is crippled I think a little boost is what it needs to end both your lives."
I knew that voice, that man that was called Dark showed up and dropped a liquid onto the gem of the creature. It turned a darker crimson and roared out as the heat intensified rapidly and the creature was now stronger then before.
I sensed all the heat vanish from our surroundings and appeared around the beast. It had a large ball forming above its mouth.
"It's getting ready to attack!" I informed.
Once I said that the creatures waiting attack had increased, and the monster released it at us. I closed my eyes and clung to Link wincing.
"I'm so sorry..Chihiro..it seems like this is the end.." I sadly said as the fire was closely upon us.
~Chihiro's pov~
I was sleeping in my glass containment, my ears perked up hearing voices speaking to each other. I slowly sat up, my neck cramped up from the position I had been having to sleep.
"I did as you asked Zant." Dark's voice said cracking up into a chuckle almost a laughing fit.
"Very good. Now Shadow should be able to minimize the damage done to the halfbreed before it hits them." A more deeper voice had spoken.
I rubbed my eyes and turned my head over to them, a portal had appeared a few seconds after I had did. I saw a creature standing over two people. It was still clearing up and I recognized them at once. It was the Hylian Kairi was traveling with. He was holding Kairi, she had a burn on her stomach that prevented her from moving. The beast had built up large amount of power into a ball above its mouth and projectiled it at the two sitting ducks.
"I'm so sorry...Chihiro...it seems this is the end." Kairi's last words spoke out as the beasts fiery blast shot at them.
"KAIRI NO!" I cried out tears fell from my eyes.
An insane power rose from my necklace and I could feel a great deal of warmth build at my left hand. A bright light engulfed me in my prison that was the last thing I remember before I passed out.
~Kairi's pov~
Waiting for the heat to consume me a screaming voice echoed in the cave.
"KAIRI! NO!" My ears perked, my eyes opened and I looked around recognizing that voice.
"Chihiro? What the!?" My necklace began to glow brightly and pushed against me as a beam of light shot at the beasts flaming beam pushing it back. It reached the beast and destroyed the gem. The beast roared back its body cooling down to a pure black again, then the black squares came unattached to the body and formed into the fused shadow landing in my hands. The former being that turned into the monster must have been Darbus, he laid there past out from what had just happened.
"You got the next one..Such a helpful girl you are, and a helpful girl should get a reward. don't you want Chihiro back? Come on I can help you, get the power, just a little touch of it and your wishes can come true Kairi."
The same voice from the temple previous was talking in my head. My mind was clouded and my fingers were reaching to it merely inches away.
"Eee hee hee! Well done! Now we have two fused shadows..." Midna said taking it from me. I shook my head and the spark of the pain had once again reached to my brain telling me I was injured.
"Hmm..You know, you two have been very helpful so far, so as a reward, I'll tell you an interesting story. Zant. That's the name of the King of Darkness who cast the pall of shadows over your world. He's very strong. you would be nothing to him in your current state..But Zant will never be my king! I have nothing but scorn for his supposed strength..Not that your Zelda is any better...It still appalls me that this world is ruled by that princess. A carefree youth, a life of luxury...How does that teach duty?..But i guess I shouldn't begrudge her the circumstances of her life, she didn't choose it after all. And I would never wish harm to her...No, as long as I can get my hands on the fused shadows I'll be just fine. Well just one more..shall we?"
Midna floated over and made the same portal as she always did. Link picked me up and carried me over as Shadow limply walked over.
"The bottle with the fairy fell out so I was looking all over to find it." He said. Link looked in his bag to find that the bottle had fell out. I found it strange that Shadow knew but Link didnt and he had it in his bag.
~At the Spring~
"Heroic link and Kairi and shadow...North of here, across the plain and the great stone bridge, in the lands guarded by the spirit Lanayru. You shall find the one you seek.." The spirits voice died after that.
Shadow gave Link the bottle which had the fairy in it. The fairy spun around us, I felt the pain decrease rapidly untill I was fully healed.
"You okay now Kairi?" Link asked in a concerned voice.
I nodded and got up.
"Okay then! lets head out to the other province." Shadow said.
I got onto Eclipse, Link hopped onto Epona, Shadow flew up and we took off. We crossed over the large field, then went over the bridge. Link pulled out an arrow and attached a bomb to it making the large pile of rocks that stood in our way into crumble of smaller ones. My ears perked making me turn my head to the sky above the bridge. A portal appeared over the middle of the bridge, the one that Zant's twilight messengers would fall out in the twilight. A black bolt of electricity had fallen out and went through the piece of rock. It floated then dissolved into the portal and replaced by 4 twilight messengers. Shadow flew over, sent a dark energy like beam knocking them unconscious. Link got off his horse and destroyed them all making another portal for us to use, then ran back over getting back on Epona.
"Good job you two." I complimented.
"Yeah, yeah, couldn't let the princess get her hands dirty she might break a nail." Shadow said smirking.
"Shut it! You overgrown bird!" I kicked Eclipses ribs and we galloped until we came across the twilight wall.
"Well here it is." Midna said popping out of my shadow and flew over to it.
I got off my horse petted her head, and headed over with the other two boys following behind.
"So ready to enter the wall?" Midna asked all of us.
I nodded looked at the other two who did the same. Midna went through the wall and using her orange hair the hand was created and pulled us in. Now the remainder of the twilight in Hyrule was going to be gone, I just wonder how long it'll take us this time.
