Kairi's pov

I got up the next morning and met Link and Shadow outside.  I looked over at Shadow and he seemed to be distracted more then normal. I just shrugged it off though.

"Do we have all the supplies we need?"

"I believe so."

Just then my stomach growled and I looked away embarrassed.

"I think its time to get some breakfast." Link said chuckling.

"Yeah..I agree."

We called out horses over and headed over to Lake Hylia.  After we got to the lake we sat by the spring and decided that fish would be our breakfast.  I walked into water and watched the fish.

"You're just going to scare all the fish away." Shadow said.

"I am fishing so shush."

"That isn't fishing, you need a pole."

"No you don't."

"Yes you do."

"Just let me do it my way."

"Here guys I got breakfast." Link spoke up.

I looked over at Link who was walking over with some fish he was carrying along with his pole.

"When did you get those?" I asked.

"While you two were arguing I went to the other side of the spring by the bridges and caught some."

"Oh..Well thanks." I said, and sat down.

"We need to make a fire." Shadow said.

"I can cook them." I said.

I shot a few sparks of lighting at the fish and it cooked them but didn't burn them.

"Well aren't you just the show off." Shadow smirked.

"Fine, I'll have your fish, and you can go fish for your own." I said.

"No, no I have fish right here I can eat thanks." He said and ate.

"I even have some cooked meat if anyone wants any."

"Exactly what meat is it?" Shadow said suspiciously.

"You know those wild boars we faced with those bublins?"

"Yeah.."

"Before hand I took one down for my sister and I to eat. I think it tastes pretty good." I said.

"I guess I could try it." Shadow said.

"I'll try some too." Link spoke up too.

I handed them both a piece.

"Not bad." Shadow said.

"It is pretty good." Link smiled.

"Now it's time we go get into our Zora tunics and head to the lake bed. I'm gonna go change inside the spring." I said.

"Shadow how are you going to breath underwater?" Link asked him.

"Magic." He said.

'Right then."

I walked off to the spring cave, walked over to the left away from the entrance and checked my surroundings to make sure no one was in here.  I got changed into the tunic, left my bag in the cave, and met back up with Shadow and Link.

"Ready?" Link asked.

"Yup." I said.

We all dived into the lake and swam to the bottom of it near the lake bed entrance.  I looked at the entrance and it was blocked by a large boulder. I saw below it were a few bubbles coming out of some cracks.  As I looked around I noticed some bubbles rising from the bottom of the lake bed that were coming out pretty fast.  I swam to the one in front other lake bed and inspected it.  It seemed to be covered in a pile of rocks.  I signaled for Link and Shadow to come over and point at it.  Link put his iron boots on and stood on it, then placed a water bomb on top of it.  We all swam away before it blew up.  We watched as more bubbles rose out of it quickly like all the others around.  I thought for a few minutes and looked at Link and pointed at it again. 

"Put a bomb right here and it'll rise to the boulder, and by the time it gets there it will explode." I said.

It was pretty cool we could breath underwater and it's help that we can talk too.  Link took a water bomb out and pushed it into the current with the bubbles.  We watched as the bomb flew up to the  boulder and it destroyed it.  We flew up to the entrance and swam inside.

~FF To the Boss~

We unlocked the door to the boss and walked inside.  I stopped and looked down at a hole, then I was knocked forward.

"Hey! Catch me!" I yelled at them.

I felt a hand pull on the back of my tunic and yanked me back up.

"Thanks."

"No problem, you owe me though." Shadow said smirking.

I rolled my eyes and inspected the hole.

"Do you think this is where the boss is at?" I asked.

"Never know until we jump." Link said.

"Ladies first." Shadow said.

"Fine then coward. See yeah down there." I jumped into the hole and plunged into water. 

"You alive?" Shadow asked.

"Yeah if course I am!  Come on!"

The other two jumped in and surfaced along with me.

"Seems we need to dive to find it."  I said.

"Lets go." Link said and dived, I followed.

Shadows pov

I watched the other two dive in and as I was going to follow a small portal opened in front of me.

"Make sure you get rid of the Hero Shadow." Dark said from it.

"Yeah I hear you no need to worry." I said.

"Get to it." He ordered and the portal closed.

'I need to do this..for my brother.' I took a deep breath, and dove after the other two.

Kairi's pov

We swam to the bottom where we saw a tentacle swaying from the sand out of a crevasse. I could see electricity rise up to the top over and over.  An eyeball then flowed fI om the bottom to the top, looked at us then went back down quickly.  More tentacles appeared near the first one then a mouth appeared with sharp teeth opened revealing a smaller mouth with sharp teeth as well.

"Creepy." I said.

"Lets get that last fused shadow!." Midna said from my shadow.

I watched as the eyeball traveled from one tentacle to the other.

"Get the eyeball Link! It must be the weak point like how it was for the plant monster in the forest temple!  Shadow and I will keep the other tentacles busy!" I shouted.

"Got it!" Link said and got the hook shot out.

I watched a tentacle come at me with electricity still going through it.  I dodged it and grabbed it and sent electricity to the source of it and the monster was stunned for a few minutes.

"Now Link!"

I looked over at Link.  He got the hook shot out and aimed at the eye. He yanked the eye out of the tentacle.  He struck the eyeball with his sword as it bounced around.  After he struck it a few times it jumped back into the mouth.  The mouth then released some of the piranha like fish that swam at us.  I began to strike at the fish with my sword as did Link.

Shadow's pov

The mouth had released more of the fish after we destroyed the first batch.  While I was busy with a few of them a tentacle had grabbed me from behind.

"Dammitt!"

"Hang on Shadow!."

I turned my head and saw Link swimming quickly towards me.  I pried at the tentacle then I was freed before I was dragged into the mouth of the giant beast.

"Thanks." I said

"It's what friends do right?" He smiled.

"Yeah..right..friends." I said.

He nodded at me and swam over to where the eyeball was at.

'Damn..I know I'm suppose to kill him but he saved me..I can't..I just can't do it.  They consider me a friend.  I'm sure if I ask they will help me find my brother.'

I nodded to myself and began to help them again.

Kairi's pov

Link struck the eyeball once more, then whole mouth and tentacle receded into the crevasse.  Then it shot out and the rest of its body was revealed.

"That was only part of it?! It's huge!" I exclaimed.

"We need to find that eye again!" Link said.

We all began to swim towards the creature.  I swam near the tail and looked around.

"It's not near the tail at all!."

"It's not at the middle, check near the head!" Shadow said to Link.

I hanged onto the tail and watched as Link struggled to swim to the base of the head.  I put my other hand on the tail and sent high volts of electricity through its body.  The creature shrieked as it was stunned for a few minutes.  Link swam quicker towards the base of the head, used the hookshot and was hanging onto the creature.  He took his sword out and struck the eyeball again and again.  The creature managed to throw him off along with me.  I swam to the tail again, but then was hit and was thrown back by it.  I shook my head and groaned and swam at it again.  I got close and shot electricity at it again, the creature shrieked and slowed down this time.  I looked over where Link was at.  He swam to the eye, shot the hookshot at it and struck the eye ball over and over.  The creature lost control and began to swim all over the place knocking into the pillars and then hit the wall.  I swam over to where it laid.  Where it hit in the wall cracks were made the whole place began to drain. After it all drained we stood as it turned into the black particles and the fused shadow fell into my hands.

"This is your last chance! Reach and grab ahold of it!" The voice again spoke in my head.

I shook my head and pinched the bridge of my nose groaning.

"You okay Kairi?" Link asked.

"Y-yeah I just got hit in the head and I think I have a headache." I lied, then Midna appeared from my shadow and took it.

"There it is! The last Fused Shadow..I'll just take that, thanks!  Now, don't resent me for all I've put you through.  I NEED this thing!  Besides, we have to do something about Zant, the one who thinks he is the king of shadows...His power is a false one...I'll prove it using these!  So..I've done everything I needed to.  I'm sorry for dragging you all over the place with me..So..Shall we go?" She floated over and made a portal. 

We walked over to it and exited the bottom of the lakebed temple and arrived in the spirits spring like we normally did.
