Kairi's pov

I covered my eyes with my arm as the sun glared at my arm with its blinding rays, I stopped at the edge of the entrance waiting for Link.  Once he came out we ran across the bridges towards Fyers cannon.  When we got there and he began to tell us about the temple at the bottom of the lake, and how they're some zoras down there. After he got bored with his own blabbering he asked if we were a customer and needed to ride the height of excitement his machine had to offer.  We paid the 10 rupees, got in and blasted off and landed on this platform with a target on it, there was fencing around it, and a barn like house with a doorway except with no door.   We walked to it, but before we could Midna appeared from my shadow. 

"Whoa! that reminds me of something..Didn't the late queen in Zora's Domain ask you to do something?  She asked us to find her son!  The one who's been missing since he headed to Hyrule castle..I think she said something about granting you some special power if you rescued him? If the final piece of the Fused Shadow is at the bottom of Lake Hylia..then it looks like were going to need that ability!"  She retreated back to my shadow and we continued to head toward the doorway.

I went down a ladder, Link followed after that we climbed up a small steep hill leading to a colorful door.  I opened it and we walked out of the house or barn I wasn't sure what it was called.  We both walked up stairs onto grass and a path. 

"So..Where do we go now?" Link asked.  I walked further ahead and looked around sniffing.

 "Give me a second.."I sniffed more trying to figure out where we were at. 

I heard paper unfold, turned my head to see Link unfolding the map and looking at it.  "Well were obviously near lake Hylia and near the castle, it's not that far ether." Link said having the map folded and having the part we were on top so we could follow and know where we were.

"Let's call our horses first.  We will get there faster if we ride them." I said, got up and blew the horse grass.

Link got up and blew a piece of the horse grass as well.  We waited for them to come since they were all the way by Eldin bridge it would take them a while to get here.

"So we are going to the castle right?" Shadow asked.

"No, I thought we go back to Ordon." I said in a sarcastic voice and rolled my eyes.

Eventually our horses made it to where we were at.  Link and I got on our own and we galloped over to where the castle was at.  As we got closer to the castle I thought about the twisted vision I had at the spirits spring.I thought about the fused shadows, and how everytime I would hold one a voice would tell me to touch the dark magic.  The voice didn't sound like Dark Links so who could it be..At a ledge sticking out of the outside wall of the castle I could see the two wolves sitting there waiting for us.  I lead my horse using the reins to where they were at.  I got down and began climbing the vines.

"Link over here!" I shouted.

He stopped and brought Epona over, got down, and climbed the vines until he was standing next to me.  We got ready and we did our routine again with the legendary past hero's.

~In the other dimension~

I stood up after being knocked out and the wolf turned into the great heroine.  She smiled at me and nodded her head in greetings.

"Are you ready for the next lesson?" She asked.

I nodded.

"First show me how you have mastered the element I taught you last time."

I showed her and she nodded in approval.  I was getting excited knowing I was learning quickly and that these were helping me in my quest.

"I will now teach you about electricity.  You have heard about jellyfish right?"

"Yeah, when they sting it hurts."

"They give off electricity and when they touch you its a zap of electricity giving that stinging feeling.  Since the next destination is the water you will encounter jellyfish like creatures that will give off an electric current when you are near them.  If you are too close you will get zapped of course.  Now the key is to either absorb the electricity or to bounce it back at them.  I will also teach you how to make electrical barriers."

"I'm ready."

"Good, we shall begin then."

"You remember how you would focus the electricity at your feet to stay on the magnetic platform right?"

"Yeah."

"This time you will focus on producing the electricity from your hands like so." 

The heroine held out her hand and electricity appeared from her fingers and formed into a ball of sparking electricity.  I watched in awe as she was able to shape it into a ball.  She rose her other hand and made another electricity ball.

"Now with the electricity I have stored I will now make a barrier."

She put her hands up and the balls of electricity floated above her hands and spread into a force field of electricity around herself.  She turned her head the other way and my eyes followed. A jellyfish looking thing was there and electricity was sparking out of the tentacles.  It floated over to the barrier and sent electric sparks at the barrier but the barrier merely absorbed and sent electricity back at the creature.  I watched as it traveled from the tentacles into the brain burning it and the monster died. 

"Wow!"

The barrier vanished and another one of them appeared. 

"Since you will have control of electricity you should be able to absorb or stop the electricity coming at you."

The creature floated over and swung its tentacle at her with electricity pulsing out of the tentacle.  She put her hand up and stopped it.  I could see the electricity sparking at her, then the electricity gathered all at her hand, and I couldn't see the monster producing anymore of it.  She pushed the monster back with that hand, and the bolts of electricity went straight through the monster destroying it.  She looked at me.

"Do you understand?"

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure I can get it."

"First we will start with producing the electricity first."

I held up my hand and focused.  I watched as small sparks began to appear from the middle of my hand.

"Put all your energy into it."

I kept all my focus on my hand waiting for more sparks to appear.

"Come on.."

I managed to pull it off after trying a few more times.  I concentrated in into a ball and held it there.

"Phew, I finally got it!"

"Very good, it took you a while, but you finally got the electricity to appear. Now try and make a force field like how I did."

I nodded.  I focused more electricity into the other creating another ball.  I put them above my head and tried to copy what she did, but when the balls began to stretch out they sparked out and the electricity vanished.

"What the?"

"When making a barrier you need to keep putting electricity into the balls.  Depending on how big the barrier is will depend on how much electricity you will have to release.  I probably should have mentioned that."

"Yeah you should have. Okay let me try again."

I focused the electricity at both hands and formed the balls, I lifted my hands up and began slowly making the barrier.  I focused on adding more electricity to the balls until I made the barrier I wanted, and the balls eventually were spread out among the barrier.

"Now when electricity comes at you the barrier will absorb it so you don't have to do anything on your part.  When you are sending it back is a different story.  You can either use your hand or the barrier to send shock waves of the bolts back at an enemy.  First you will try and use the barrier to send electricity at a monster."

A bublin showed up and ran towards me.  I focused on the monster, and pushed my arm forward with my hand straight up and flat.  As I did that a bolt of electricity shot at the monster shocking it and killing it.

"For that monster the voltage wasn't that high but high enough to kill it.  For bigger monsters you will need a higher number of voltage to kill them. Now that you have mastered the barrier and sending electricity at a monster I want you to try sending electricity through a monster  You will also be learning how to absorb a monsters electricity and sending it to its weak spot as well."

The same jellyfish creature appeared and came at me.  It swung its tentacle and when I touched it I could feel the electricity and I yelped in pain.

"You got to accept the electricity into your hand even thought its not yours.  Try again."

I shook my hand until the pain went away.  I faced the jellyfish again.  It swung its tentacle at me again and I put my hand up and pushed against it.  I managed to stop it from pushing me any further.  The electricity was sparking and the monster tried to force me back but I held my ground.  I took a deep breath and focused on pulling the electricity towards me like a magnet. I watched as the electricity flowed to my hand, I held it there then shot the electricity up its tentacle into the brain.  The electricity fried the brain and the monster turned into black dust.

"Excellent.  The next element has been mastered.  Until we meet again."

After that I was unconcious again.  After a few minutes I woke up rubbing my head. 

"Ready?"

I looked at Link and nodded.  We both climbed down off the vines and got back onto our horses and trotted over to the bridge.  Link got off his horse and began walking with Shadow behind.  After a while they looked back.

"Aren't you coming?" Link asked.

"No."  I said bluntly.

"Come on now pup." Shadow demanded.

"No means no stupid.  I'll only cause a scene."

"Why? Link asked.

"I'm a half breed..thas why. I'll be waiting out here." I looked away and turned Eclipse around.  She trotted off toward a tree with me on her back.

"Don't go anywhere! We don't have time to track you!" Shadow shouted.

"No need to worry I have no reason to go yet." I shouted back, got off Eclipse and watched them go into castle town.

~Link's pov~

We got to Telma's bar and as I was opening a door we heard an argument going on.

"This is a Zora child! It is beyond my expertise! Hmmmph!"

As I walked in a short man with Hylian ears, long pieces of white hair stuck out on the side of his head while the middle.  I walked over and grabbed mine, and Link grabbed his.

"Now, at last, I can join the king in slumber.  And yet..My son..He still knows nothing of my death.  If you see him again, please pass on this message...Tell him he must not grieve for his mother's passing .  Tell him she wanted him to be brave and live on as king of our people.  And..Tell him his mother...Loves him without end.  Tell him..." With those last words the queen of the Zoras vanished for the last time.

I quickly got off the grave and looked at it, I closed my eyes and did a silent prayer in my head.  Then Midna appeared from my Shadow facing all of us.

"Well, it's a good thing you found all your friends and picked up that nifty Zora armor..But aren't you forgetting something kind of important?  The last Fused Shadow...Remember what the Faron light spirit said...He said you would need the Fused Shadows to defeat the dark overlord Zant and save this world...So even if you go back now with all the people you have saved so far..The whole tragedy would just repeat itself..So lets go get it!  We need to go to the temple on the lake bed of Lake Hylia."

With that she went back into my Shadow and I sighed.

"We can start tomorrow.  We are all exhausted from today and need a good rest." I said

The two nodded in agreement and we headed back to the motel and got into our rooms.  I laid in the bed and looked up at the ceiling.

"Just one more Fused Shadow and this whole nightmare will be over with. Chihiro and I can live in peace again and everyone will go their own separate ways." I said to myself.

"Are you sure? Don't you want to  go live in Link's little village?" I heard Midna say.

"I'm..not exactly sure we have lived in that cabin our whole lives and our parents graves are there."

"We'll you complain how everyone rejects you and your race.  Yet they were comfortable with you being in their village."

"That's true..I'm still thinking about it."

"You like him and all I don't see why you need ot think about it."

"I do not like him!!." I sat up quickly.

"Its written all over your face Ehee hee."

"Shut up and go back into my shadow."

"Speaking of that word...I don't trust Shadow very much."

"He's been with us this entire trip, and he's the one who brought me to the village in the first place."

"It is just strange how he turned into an Imp when he entered the twilight and I know he is not a twili...we don't know much about him and I don't want anyone putting us behind schedule."

"I'm sure he just doesn't like to share his past or something..but he's a nice guy."

"Just keep your guard up." 

After that she retreated back into my shadow.  I laid down and thought about what she said.

'Sure we don't know much about Shadow besides that hes a pervert..rude sometimes..cocky but he does have a soft side to him but I don't think he likes to show it.  It is suspicious that whenever he is gone before we fight a boss he vanishes and doesn't appear until we have defeated it. I'll just have to keep a closer eye on him.'  And with that I fell asleep exhausted from today.

~Shadow's pov~

I was listening in on Kairi's and Midnas conversation from the shadows.

'So Midna doesnt trust me hm? She doesn't trust alot of people anyways...but Kairi defended me..The time we have spent together I think I'm starting to like the pup but I can't..In order to get my brother back I have to give her to Zant so Ganadorf will give him back.  Hm I guess we both have the same quest..but still she is nothing more then a present and I must inform Zant of her progress if I don't he will get suspicious.'

I moved through the shadows to the outside of the building and sat on the roof, then a portall opened and I bowed down as Zant was shown.

"Hello king Zant."

"Report."

"We are heading to the temple in the lakebed tomorrow.  Midna doesn't trust me but Kairi seems too so I have her trust as well as Link's.  The heroine from long ago has been training her.  She has learned how to control wind and knows how to stay on magnetic platforms and I'm sure I will find out what else she has learned in the temple."

"I will make an appearance to steal the fused shadows from Midna and we will take Kairi as well.  It also seems that her sister saved her last time."

"But how? She is in a different dimension."

"The triforce of Love you idiot.  They have a strong connection.  With each having half she must have seen the situation her sister was in and the triforce must have acted upon her feelings.   the blast of Fyrus was pushed back by the power of the triforce."

"Interesting."

"If the next boss doesn't take care of the hero and Midna then I will.  I can also sense that the soul of the goddesses of hatred is trying to control the Twilight power for herself through Kairi."

"Yes I have noticed that she goes into a daze when she is near the fused shadow, and she reaches out to touch it."

"It must not happen.  Only I must wield the ancient power and their triforces not that witch."

"Of course, only you and Lord Gandorf deserve such power."

"Continue your mission that is all."

The portal closed and I sat on the roof.

"So what is your next plan Shadow?"

I looked over and saw Dark Link walk out a dark portal he made.

"Well to observe her obviously after getting the fused Shadow I will get rid of the Hero and take Kairi.  Midna is in her shadow, but I'm sure Zant will take care of her."

"Well don't screw up, the last times they have survived."

"I know I know."

"If you don't come through Zant will kill you."

"I'm aware of that! I won't screw up."

"Don't get close to them, or think they want to be your friend.  If they found out you were a spy they would instantly have hatred towards you.  Midna is already suspicious of you, so be careful and don't blow your cover too soon."

'Most likley..'

"Okay mom! Sheesh I'm a big boy I can take care of myself Dark."

"Well I could easily do your job, without the hesitation of getting close to them."

"I'm doing it just fine."

"Then hurry up and get rid of the ones who need ot be gotten rid of."

"I will! Dammit just leave already!."

"Okay okay, don't get your feathers all ruffled up. But remember this...If you betray us or even think of it..I will kill you ordered or not."

With that he left.  I thought about how I have spent time with them and perhaps I was wanting to be there friends..

'They accepted me and helped me..It is like Dark said If they found out it I was a spy they would hate me so there is no point to befriend them..Dammit Kairi..why have you gotten under my skin..I'm suppose to just treat you like a toy but when you ran off all I wanted to do was comfort you because I could relate to you in a few ways..You're also cute when you get mad..the way you blush and get embarrassed is adorable..the way you have such ambition to find your sister is admirable.  Man..I am falling for you..'

I sighed, shook my head, then I got up and went back to my room and slept for the rest of the night.
