Kairi's pov

"Chihiro, come see what I caught." I yelled hanging on to our dinner that was hanging off on a rope off my horse.

As I got closer to our small home, I saw Chihiro running out of the grave we had set for our parents long ago. I pulled on the eclipse's reins when Chihiro was 30 feet away from us.

"What have you bring home this time, Kairi?" She asked with curiosity.

“Well, I was riding threw hyrule field, you know the one by the Eldin bridge, I was attacked by some weird monsters riding huge boars, I took out the monster that was riding a boar and killed it then the boar itself, so we shall eat well for about a week. Now can you come and help me please its heavy." I asked heaving the giant beast with the rope after I got off my horse.

“No problem." she said cheerfully.

We dragged the large animal, made a fire, and ate our fill and went to go lay down and look at the stars.

"Kairi I haven't heard of giant boars in hyrule field. I think something must be happening, like something is coming to take over this world we live in." she explained.

"Yeah, I find it mysterious too, I haven't seen monsters like that anywhere before, something must be up." I said gazing at the stars.

"Only time shall tell." Chihiro quoted.

"Well let's go back inside, if there is monsters out here we don't need an accident happening in the middle of the night" I said standing, I helped Chihiro up and we walked to the house, turned the lights off, and went to bed.

~Next morning~

"KAIRI, MONSTERS!!”  I heard Chihiro scream from outside.

 I immediately woke up, grabbed my sword, my arrows and sprinted outside to see monsters cornering Chihiro to a tree.

"STAY AWAY FROM HER!"

I sliced two monsters in half with one swing, and stabbed the other ones leaving them dead on the ground.   They turned pitch black and exploded, leaving rupees that had dropped from their belts. I picked them up and stored them in my pouch.

"Chihiro are you all right, they didn't hurt you or anything did they?" I asked her worried, checking her arms and legs.

"I'm fine; you came at the right time." she reassured.

I let out sigh of relief and walked over to the stream to wash my sword.

"Where's Eclipse?" I pondered.

"In her stable still." Chihiro answered.

"Get her set up; were going to see Zelda." I ordered.

"Kairi, we can't even get pass the people in castle town, the guards will surely kill us!" Chihiro warned.

"Then we'll just have to find a secret passage in." I stated picking up my sword then put it back in my sheath. "Ok I'll go get her." she chirped and ran off to Eclipse's stable.

When she left, I felt a presence, like someone was watching us, I kept my guard up just in case.

"Kairi, let's go." Chihiro yelled.

I ran over to her and Eclipse.  I got on and Eclipse and she started to trot.

After a few minutes we were close to the castle, when Eclipse stopped and reared sending us to fall off.  She then ran off in the other direction.

"Eclipse come back! What's gotten into her?" Chihiro said.

"Something must have spooked her." I stated.

"Aw, seems I scared your pony.” A man's voice mocked us, but when I looked around I we saw no one.

"Show yourself." I yelled to the air, out of nowhere was a man appeared 20 feet away.

He had black hair, red glowering eyes that seemed to look straight threw you, he also wore a black tunic, black pants, and everything he wore was entirely black except his eyes.

"Chihiro get behind me." I ordered in a whisper.

"Who are you?" I demanded.

“If you want to know then I'll tell you, I'm Dark Link." The man in black spoke.

"Okay, now if you don't' mind we have somewhere to be, so step aside and there won't be a fight." I warned in a growling like tone.

"Well I can't do that, you’re coming with me, my master needs your power to take over this world.  You two are just helpless little outcast that don't even belong here no one wants you alive.  I suggest you come with since you could get back at those who treated you badly.  If not, you have no choice anyways." the black man teased.

"That’s not true everyone has a purpose here, and that means we do too." Chihiro spoke up.

"Chihiro keep quiet!" I ordered.

"You two do have a purpose, but it is to serve my master." he announced.

"We will not serve your master, we're not a slave to anyone!" I yelled.

 I pulled out my sword and ran at him, he turned to black smoke and vanished.

"What the-!”

"Kairi!”

I swung around to see Dark Link holding Chihiro. He had her arm twisted behind her back with his other arm around her neck.

"CHIHIRO! LET HER GO YOU BASTARD!" I shouted I quickly grabbed out an arrow and got ready to shoot.

"My my, you’re a feisty one, I could use a little help if you wouldn't mind." The dark man said as if calling out to someone.

I was going to let the arrow go when I was suddenly knocked on the head.   The impact on my head was making my vision go blurry.  I tried to fight it, but I couldn't win I slipped into a cruel darkness not knowing what will happen to me as well as Chihiro.

~Chihiro's pov~

I was still in Dark Link's hold, I saw Kairi pulling out an arrow, and she had it ready to shoot. She had practiced for something like this so I knew she wouldn't hit me.

"My my, you’re a feisty one I could use a little help if you wouldn't mind." Dark Link hollered.

'What is he planning?' I thought.

Wait, what's this presence. Suddenly I saw a guy with black wings, and weird clothes on, he had blue hair with white in it.  He punched Kairi in the head making her fall but he caught her half way.

"Kairi." I cried, when I did the arm around my neck tightened.

"If you don't want her to get injured I suggest you come with me." Dark Link threatened.

"Just don't hurt her." I said in defeat.

"Come on Shadow, get the girl and let's go." he ordered.

"Actually I was thinking of observing her, we've already found her weakness, we just need to find out how to use their powers.” Shadow informed.

"Interesting idea, I shall leave her to you then, and you’re going to come with me. We could use you as bait" he said.

I wasn't listening to Dark Link at all, my eyes were focused the man named Shadow carrying Kairi bridal style.

"I will be near the last light spirit's spring to make sure that the twili messengers get there and turn that part twilight." Shadow informed.

"Do as you wish. I'll be heading back to the twilight palace to deliver master part of the package he ordered." Dark link said.

"Very well." Shadow said and flew off north.

"You said Kairi wouldn't get hurt." I screeched.

 "She could get hurt or she could be fine either way I dont care.  I don't make promises, and stop all you’re crying or you'll pay the price." He threatened.

A cloth covered my mouth suffocating me, it smelled like some kind of sleeping drug.  Before I knew it I was falling into the same darkness Kairi had gone into not long ago.

~Shadow's pov~

'If I remember right the last light spirit is Ordona, the village near there is Ordon village, I'll just make it seem that I found her unconscious in the field and that I need help, acting all helpless should be easy. Although if they see my wings they might get suspicious and attack I better play it carefully for now'.

I flew in the Faron forest almost to the Faron spring.   I saw two men sitting on the sand looking out into the horizon.

'They must be from Ordon, better make the impression now.'

I flew back into the forest a little away from the spring, my wings vanished turning into smoke.  I walked until I saw the spring I extended my fingernails a little bit and made lil cut marks on her arms and two on her face to make it look like she was hurt.

'She won’t know, and they’re only little scratch marks, humans will buy anything.'

I thought laughing to myself.

"Is anyone there, please I need help!" I shouted running over to them.

The two men looked at me then the girl that was sleeping in my arms. The older man with short hair and a mustache came forward.

"Are you two alright? What happened?" He asked.

"I found her unconsciou.  She was being attacked by monsters with clubs, and they scratched her up pretty badly then knocked her unconscious. I didn't see anyone to help me, so I ran as fast I could somewhere." I said in a fake worried tone.

"Bring her back to the village and we'll bandage her up, you as well if you have any wounds." The guy said.

"Link get Epona, we need to hurry back to the village." The older man called to the boy named Link.

'He must be dark's good side. Well this is strange...’ I thought.

We walked to the village we got there in about 5-10 minutes.

“You can come to my house and we'll bandage her up. The name's Rusl by the way and he's Link." He greeted.

"Shadow." I said.

"Do you know her name?" Rusl asked.

"No I don't." I answered.

"Whoa! Rusl look." Link called.

"What is it?" Rusl asked.

 "Look! She has wolf ears." he said in a calm voice.

"Never heard of a person being part animal she must be special, or cursed." Rusl commented.

We arrived what appeared to be Rusl's house, we walked in to see a heavily pregnant women sitting on a couch.

"Oh your ba-What happened?!" She questioned coming over to examine Kairi.

"Poor dear, she's all scratched up, and she has a bruise on the side of her head.

'Whoops I didn't think I hit her that hard.'  I snickered inside my head.

We heard the door open to reveal a short, blonde haired boy that looked to be the age around 7-10.

"Father, Link your back. Who is this strange man and girl with you?" He asked in a timid voice.

"This is Shadow.  He rescued this girl from a horrible attack she was in." Link explained.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" the boy asked.

"Colin I need bandages, would you be a dear and get them?" The women asked.

"Yes, Link can you help me please." Colin asked.

Link nodded and they began to look in the cupboards for anything they could use.

"My name is Uil. I am Rusl's wife and Colin is our son, please set her on the couch and you can take a seat too." She offered.

"Thank you, but I'm fine." I said.

I set her on the couch and Colin and Link came back with bandages,then they bandaged her wounds up.

"Does she have any family?" Uil asked.

"I'm not sure, I saw her by herself." I lied.

 "That’s unfortunate. It seems she has animal ears." She rubbed the girls ears gently.

"They're real, I wonder how she got these." She questioned.

"I think it would be cool having animal ears." Colin said shyly.

"So Shadow, do you have anywhere to go" Rusl asked.

I shook my head.

"Link do you have room for an extra person in your home." Rusl asked.

"Yeah I do, Shadow you're welcomed to sleep in my home." Link offered.

Thanks, I haven't slept for about two days, so I will take you up on your offer." I said.

"How have you been able to stay awake?" Rusl asked.

I shrugged my shoulders, and Link lead me to his house.  I chose where to sleep and we got to our places and laid down.

"Oh, I work early in the morning, so sorry if I end up waking you." Link informed me.

"Ah it will be fine, night."

"Night."

~Next morning Kairi's pov~

I had finally woken up.   My head didn't hurt, but when I felt where I was hit to find bandages on it, I took a look at my surroundings and found myself in a house. I started to remember everything before I was here.

"CHIHIRO!"  I shouted.

 I grabbed my weapons that were on a nearby table, I walked out the door to see I was in a small village. It seemed like a peaceful place to live, but they would never accept me and Chihiro. I used my wolf’s sense of smell and found where the forest was.  When I got there I found myself closer to the forest, but there was a small house in the trees, with a ladder that you could use to get up there. I sniffed and smelled the forest to my right. I cautiously walked, and when I got to the entrance I heard galloping.  A huge, chestnut brown horse with a white main stood in front of me, it was the same species of horse as Eclipse.

’I miss Eclipse, I wonder where she went off to.’

 “Well it seems you’ve finally woken up.” a voice rang in my ears, breaking me from my train of thought.

“You had us w-”

"Who the hell are you.” I interrupted.

“Calm down don‘t need to be so hostile, my name is Link.   You’re in Ordon village in the Ordon province.” He finished.

“Why am I here?” I growled.

“A guy named Shadow brought you here, you looked pretty beat up.” He said.

He got off his horse and I got a better look at him. He had messy, light brown hair that almost reached his shoulders, he had Hylian ears both pierced with small blue hoops dangling down, and his eyes were an amazing watery blue that shined a violet color in the sun I haven't seen on a person before, they were the proud eyes of a beast like my father’s. He had different pieces of cloths sewed on for most of his outfit, he had an orange like belt around his waist, with some brown shorts underneath the other pieces of fabric, he wore sandals, had one green sleeve on his left arm, he also had a farmers tan.   By the look of his un-clothed arm he worked out like I did although my muscles aren’t that big.

“I’ll be right back wait here” he said, Link ran over to be probably his home, climbed the ladder and went inside the small tree house. He came out a few minutes later.

“I have to go work at the ranch I won’t be back till sundown, so feel free to wander the village, there is also a spring you can go to if you want it’s just threw there.” he pointed to the area he had come out threw.

‘I’m guessing that’s the way out of here.’

He climbed on his horse and trotted into the village. I looked around to make sure no one was watching I ran into the dark forest area. I found myself near kind of a mini version of a forest it had long grass, trees, rocks and a path. I followed the path further and smelled fresh spring water. I walked more heard the sound of rushing water and found myself at the Ordon Spring, or I think that’ s what it is called. I closed my eyes and listened to the water, the wind was slightly moving my braid, I felt my mind being clear and I was at peace.

“So the lone wolf has awakened.” A deep voice had knocked me out of my trance, which annoyed me.

“Who’s there” I hollered to the opening of the spring, I got ready to pull out my sword, my guard was up, and my ears listened for any noises or movement.

Out of the entrance a man about an inch taller than me stood in the entrance he had a mixture of blue and black in his hair blackish hair with a little bit of white in it, pale skin, his eyes were a ghostly white eyes I've never seen before, he had a bracelet that had spikes on it, he had black, fingerless gloves on too, he had a small belt going across the top of his shirt with a cross dangling from it by a small chain was a small cross, he also wore a black jacket, his left war was pierced that had a skull hanging from a cuff like warring, and belly shirt that looked like it was cut on the bottom it looked like it had been torn or cut, he also had on black low ride pants and dark blue boots.

“And what might your name be.” I said which would probably be rude to most people, but hey I hate everyone.

“Name’s Shadow, I’m the one who brought you here.” He said calmly.

“Why did you bring me here?” I snarled.

“It was the closes village when I found.” He said walking forward.

“I can take care of myself.” I took a step back and pulled out my sword a little, but in the blink of an eye he was gone, I suddenly felt a pressure on my waist and hand.

"I'm not going to harm you, you interest me in a way." He whispered in my ear.

"Let go of me!" I shouted.

"Only if you take your hand away from your sword, and tell me your name." He said.

I sighed in defeat and pushed what part of my sword was out and let go of the hilt.

"Good girl, name? He whispered again.

"Kairi. Why did you help me?" I glared over my shoulder.

"You were in danger it would be stupid to leave a person to die.  Especially if it’s a lost pup." He said. He had a smirk on his face when he said 'lost pup.'

"I wasn't lost, I was attacked and I need to go." I struggled to get loose from his hold, but I hardly moved him.

"You can't leave yet, it's dangerous I went out earlier and there is numerous amounts of monsters roaming around." he warned.

"I don't care, I need to find someone." I shot another glare ant him,and I snarled showing my canines.

"Well I can't let you, if you try to I'll chain you to a tree." He smirked.

"You wouldn't." I glared.

"Want to try me?" His face was right in front of mine we were almost touching noses.

"Well Link should be done in the ranch, let's go." He said, he swung me around, so I was facing him and flung me over his shoulder.

"Hey! What's the idea, put me down! I'm going to kill you." I screamed.

“Your threats mean nothing." He said.

When we got to Link's house we saw him sitting by the door.

(You know how he has a little area to sit on yeah his feet are dangling and he's sitting on it)

"There you guys are, uh..did I miss something?" He looked at us and raised an eyebrow.

"Link! Make him put me down!" I ordered.

"You can wait till I get you inside. I don't need you running away, I don't feel like tracking you" He said.

He began wlaking into the village, I saw Link climb down his ladder and follow us.

"Why is she over your hsoulder?" He asked Shadow.

"Because." He responded.

Shadow put me in front of the house I came out of earlier.  I started to walk the other direction, but he grabbed my arm after I took a few steps.

“Let me go!” I ordered.

“Where are you going?” He questioned.

"I'm not sleeping here, I like sleeping outside." I responded.

"Fine, but you can sleep outside Link's house and don't you try and sneak off the gate's locked. Rusl has the key, so you won't be able to escape anyways." he stated.

"I wasn't going to leave, I was going to make a little tent big enough for me, or sleep in the trees." I told him.

"And just how are you going to make this 'tent'." The emo boy teased.

"Easy, I've had to make these all the time all I need is sticks, leaves and a blanket or two, and also a pillow." I listed.

"Okay then lets head back, I should have those supplies besides the sticks, and leaves." Link informed.

When we got back to Link's house, I began building while Ahadow and Link went to go find the supplies inside.

 I waited for them to come out. I held my necklace Chihiro and Zelda gave me and thought about them.

‘Where are they? Were they safe?’ A tear slide down my cheek and fell on the cold ground.

"Here's the supplies wolf, hey are you crying." Shadow popped up.

I wiped the wet streak the tear left before Link could see.

"No a piece of leaf got in my eye and it went into the wrong place. I don't cry,no need to." I lied.

"Okay, whatever you say." He said

Him and Link put the supplies down.

"Well have fun, night" Shadow said.

"Good night." Link said and went inside his house.

He  walked over to the ladder, climbed and disappeared in the house. I finished my small bed and got underneath the thick blanket and laid my head on the feathery pillow.

'I promise Chihiro I'll save you.. I won't let you be alone for long.' With that last thought I fell into a dark abyss which could turn into anything in a blink of an eye.
