Link finally reached the Lost Woods. He then makes a quick search around the entrance, looking for the Red Flute that he read about back at the library on Castle Town. Once he successfully found it, he quickly got one and played it.

- "Hehehehe" a strange noise came out of nowhere.

Suddenly, a strange figure appeared in front of him. "That must be the lost kid that got lost on this woods" he though. Once a Hylian, the kid got lost on this same woods, and thanks to that, he transformed into the creature known as Skull Kid. It had a creepy face, and his dress made him look like a scarecrow. The Skull Kid started to run away from Link. With no intentions of losing his track, Link pursues him, directly into the deepest part of the woods. The Lost Woods was a little dark, but the light of a lamp that the Skull Kid was holding on his right hand was lighting everything nearby. Link knew that the Skull Kid was leading him somewhere. Of course, there were enemies on the path like Bokoblins, Skulltullas and Keeses, so he had to fight them while following the Skull Kid's track.

After a while, Link and the Skull Kid reached an exit leading out of the Lost Woods. Finally, the Skull Kid dissapeared; Link looked for him around, but he didn't saw any tracks.

Link passed through the exit and found himself on a very beautiful place.

Kokiri Forest

Link saw lots of children running around with shiny fairies of different colors. Suddenly, one kid with a fairy got close to Link.

- "Hold it right there! I don't know who you are, but you have just entered a place where nobody besides Kokiris like me belongs. I, the great Mido, will never see you as one of us... but then again, I don't think a stranger like you will be of any danger, especially with all the strange things that has been happening in the Forest lately. Hmmm... I see you have a sword on your back. In that case, how about if you give me a little help? There are some evil plants called Deku Babas blocking the way to the Great Deku Tree, who watches over this forest. Please help me out by getting rid of them with that sword."

Link nodded at Mido and followed him to the "Great Deku Tree". Once they got to the entrance, five Deku Babas sprouted from the ground. Since they weren't so dangerous, Link cut them very easily. After that, Mido got close to the Great Deku Tree to speak.

- "Oh Great Deku Tree! I'm glad that you're still ok!" Mido said happily.

Link also got close to the Great Deku Tree and put on his knees.

- "Mido, thanks for your assitance, but now I need to have a private chat with Link."

Mido didn't like the idea, but he obeyed the Great Deku Tree without questioning him.

- "Greetings Link. I am the Great Deku Tree, and I am the guardian of this forest, and also, the guardian of the ones that lives in it: The Kokiris. I know why are you here: you are looking for the Fairy Charm of Farore, right?"

*Link nodded at the Great Deku Tree*

- "Right now, you have a huge burden on your shoulders. I have already saw Kyriaxis return too. She looks even more angrier and corrupted than before. This time, she will stop at nothing to obtain the Great Fairy Rod. However, all hope is not lost. You have come from a far away place to get three particular items that you will need to get the Great Fairy Rod: The Fairy Charms".

Suddenly, a door opened behind the Great Deku Tree, leading to a suspicious area.

- "The Fairy Charm of Farore lies on the Lost Ruins. Follow the path behind me and you will end up at the entrance. But be sure that you are prepared before entering. The ruins are full of monsters, and they will have no mercy if you are careless. Now go, and may you return safely."

Link proceeded with caution to the Lost Woods Ruins.

Lost Woods Ruins

The ruins was packed with monsters like the Keeses, Boko Babas, Bokoblins, and a new swarm of monsters known as Green Chuchus. Link venture himself into the dungeon, solving many puzzles and fighting against the monsters.

During his journey around the ruins, he got trapped in a room, where he would be fighting two new enemies. This new enemies are known as Moblins, and their faces had the aspect of a pig, but uglier. At the end, Link defeated both of them, and a Treasure Chest appeared in the middle of the room. He then opened it and found the following item:

Link got the Hero Bow! Use it to attack enemies from a distance or to solve puzzles.

After defeating the Moblins and getting the Hero Bow, he continued his trip around the dungeon. At the end, he found the Big Key. He then continued deeper and found the Big Door, which he opened with that same Key.

He then encountered himself with a dark place. Suddenly, he heard some noises coming from the celling. He looked above him and saw a big kind of insect monster with a big glowing eye.

Gohma

Link quickly grabbed the Hero Bow and shot an arrow on her eye. Gohma got the strike and felt to the ground, and Link used this opportunity to take his sword and give multiple slays to the eye.

Gohma reacted and got back to the ceiling. From there, he spawned Baby Gohmas to attack Link; he managed to slay every single one of them. He then got the Hero Bow and shoot another arrow to Gohma's eye. She then felt down, and Link slayed her eye twice.

Gohma reacted again and got back to the ceiling. She then spawned more Baby Gohmas, way more than before. However, Gohma falls from the ceiling and joins the fight. Link couldn't shoot an arrow to Gohma while the baby ones were around, so he slayed all of them first.

Once he defeated all the baby Gohmas, he got his bow again and shoot another arrow at Gohma's eye, right when she was about to crush him. Finally, Link got his sword out and made a finishing blow on her eye.

Gohma started to twist. At the end, she ended up falling and dissapearing. The Fairy Charm of Farore appeared in the middle of the room. Link got close and grabbed it.

Link got the Fairy Charm of Farore!

A blue portal appeared near Link. He got into it and teleported back to Kokiri Forest. He got teleported back in front of the Great Deku Tree, who was very proud of him.

- "Well done Link. You had enough courage to recover the Fairy Charm of Farore from the ruins, the same courage that will help you restore the land of Hyrule. Is been a long time since the last time I saw a courageous act like yours."

*Link was surprised by the Great Deku Tree's words*

- "Yes... I have met the ancient hero many years ago. It feels like it was yesterday when we first talked. Like I said, he was very courageous, just like you. I never though I would see someone with such courage again..."

* The Great Deku Tree continued with his speech*

-" After defeating Kyriaxis, he unexpectedly appeared on the Kokiri Forest. He was kind of joyful when he saw all the Kokiris running around and the beauty of our home. Then he got to me, and I've gave him my help to aid him on his quest. He got the Fairy Charm of Farore. Along with the other charms, and with the help of the Great Fairies of Hyrule, he opened the door to the Fountain of Greatness, where he would put back the Great Fairy Rod. No one else had ever touched it since. He then took the Charm back to me and went off... I never knew of him ever again."

*The Great Deku Tree was about to finish talking*

Link... these are my final words to you: you don' t have to worry about this forest. As long as I am here, none of my children will perish under superior evil beings. You must go and continue with your quest. If Kyriaxis lay her hands on the Great Fairy Rod, then Hyrule will be in great danger. Don't let it happen! Now go, and amy you succeed... oh, and by the way... don't tell Mido about this conversation."

Link nodded and moved on to the exit of Kokiri Forest, and just like Link suspected, he had found himself with Mido on the way.

- "Hold it right there! You've just can't get out without telling me what did the Great Deku Tree said to you."

Link didn't said anything. He didn't wanted to broke his promise to the Great Deku Tree.

- "So you won't say anything to me huh? THIS IS WHY I'LL NEVER ACCEPT YOU ON THIS FOREST!"

Mido left angrily. Link couldn't understood why Mido was so mean to him, but he forget about it and continued with his quest.
