The Grand Master of the White Lotus with two more Grand Masters walked in the tundra of the Southern Water Tribe to a igloo hut of Tonraq and Senna during a blizzard as Tonraq greeted them.

Tonraq: "The White Lotus has honored my family by coming. Thank you." He said smiling before bowing down slightly to the members to open up the front door to his family's home to see his wife: Senna sweeping up a mess looking very tired and her clothes stained bit she still smiled.

Senna: "Welcome." She said while Tonraq walked over towards her and she leaned against him as the grand master spoke to the parents.

Grand Master Lotus: "We have investigated many claims, both here and in the northern tribe. All turned out to be false." He said as he along with his other two members removed their hoods.

Tonraq and Senna smiled at the White Lotus members before Senna spoke up once again.

Senna: "Then you should be happy to know your search has come to an end." She said with happiness and pride.

Grand Master Lotus: "What makes you so sure your son is the one?" He questioned thinking this was a false statement once again.

Senna: "Korro. Please come in here." She called out her son only for a large circle of earth of the hut to shoot near the white Lotus members in shock then to see a little rich caramel skinned toddler with brunette hair, blue water eyes and wore Southern Water Tribe clothes.

Korro: "I'm the Avatar. You got to deal with it!" He announced and began bending fire at the members which made them back up. He bended earth and fire before putting out the fire with a tiny puddle of water on the floor.

Years Passing By

Korro now a seventeen year old young man was sparring with two of his fire bending teacher's students as the grand master lotus and his council of other grand members, his fire bending teacher and now elderly Katara watched him spar without a single flaw.

Katara: "He's strong." She said while smiling with pride

Grand Master Lotus: "He lacks restraint." He said seriously as Korro knocked out his last sparring partner.

Korro: "Whoo-Hoo!" He yelled out loud before seeing the white lotus members, his fire bending teacher were looking at him with unimpressed looks while Katara were looking at him with a proud smile. He ran over laughing slightly in a deep voice. "Hey, why the doom and gloom, people? We should be celebrating." He said smiling as he took off his helmet from his head. "Three elements down, one to go." He said with a cocky attitude.

Fire bending teacher: "You're getting ahead of yourself as usual, Korro. We haven't decided if you passed your firebending test yet." He said seriously as the grand master lotus spoke up.

Grand Master Lotus: "Ever since you were a little boy, you've excelled at the physical side of bending but completely ignored the spiritual side. The Avatar must master them both." He said as Korro groaned annoyed.

Korro: "I haven't ignored it. It just doesn't come as easy to me. But that's why I should start training with Tenzin immediately. He's minister spiritual." He said smiling as he put his hands behind his head.

Grand Master Lotus: Looked over at Master Katara as he asked her. "Do you believe he's ready, Master Katara?"

Katara: "Yes, he is ready." She said nodding and still smiling. "If anyone can teach him what he needs to learn, it's Tenzin." She said honestly as the members nodded.

Grand Master Lotus: "Very well, Korro. It's time for you to begin your airbending training." He said seriously.

Korro: "Yes! Finally!" He shouted out happily til he noticed that everyone was staring at him before clearing his throat lightly. "I mean... Thank you all for believing in me." He said bowing down slightly then ran off through the compound to his pet and companion: Naga a female polar bear bag. "Naga, you should've seen it. I kicked some firebender butt, and I passed." He said happily as Naga rubbed against his chest while he scratched her ears and head. "Tenzin will be here in a few days." He said before laughing happily as Naga tackled him down and gave him kisses til he got up to change his clothes then put Naga's saddle on her back for a run, they approached the compound gates looking at the gatekeeper. "Just taking Naga out for a stroll. Don't worry. We're not going far." He said as the gates opened up Naga ran out onto the snowy tundra. "Naga, Go. That a girl. Go, go, go!" He said smiling while Naga ran faster kicking up snow with her powerful paws.

A Few Weeks Time

A sky bison flew down at the white lotus compound near sunset as Master Katara and Korro stood side by side in the compound hearing children talking.

Ikki: "Are we there yet? It looks like we're here. I know that this looks very famaliar. Are we here yet? Are we here yet? Are we here yet? Oh, please tell me we're here." She babbled as the sky bison landed on the snowy tundras ground while Korro ran over towards the bison.

Tenzin: "Yes, Ikki, as I've been telling you for the last fifteen minutes, we are finally here." He said sighing from exhaustion as his son Meelo gnawed on his head while his daughters Jinora and Ikki air scootered off of their father's sky bison. He got off his bison to greet his mother. "Hello, mother. I can't tell you how happy I am to see you. Please help me." He said as Katara laughs happily taking Meelo off of his shoulders while her granddaughters hugged her.

Meelo: "Unhand me, strange woman!" He shouted out failing around.

Tenzin: "That's your grandmother, Meelo." He said as his children talked to their grandmother Katara while Tenzin helped his pregnant wife; Pema off from the bison.

Pema: "Stop doting on me. I'm not helpless. I'm just pregnant." She said to Tenzin as Katara hugged her then told her that the new addition was strong along with another airbender. "All I want is one child like me, a nice non-bender who doesn't blast wind in my face every five seconds." She said seriously til Merlo blasted snow in her face which she quickly shook off. "Where Tenzin and his siblings this crazy when they were kids?" She asked Katara.

Katara: "Kya and Bumi certainly were. But Tenzin has always been rather serious." She said honestly

Tenzin: "Mother, please." He said making Katara smile happily then he saw Korro smiling at him. "Korro? Look at you so big and strong. You've grown into quite the young avatar and man." He said with pride.

Korro: "Master Tenzin, I'm so glad you're here. I can't wait to get started." He said proudly and smiling at Tenzin.

Tenzin: "Yes, well..." He said sadly sighing softly as he looked away until Pema spoke up.

Pema: "You're going to have to tell him sooner or later."

Korro: Looks confused til he looked back at Tenzin. "Wait, tell me what?" He asked til Katara spoke up.

Katara: "You're not staying, are you?" She asked sadly as Tenzin sighed before explaining to Korro.

Tenzin: "I'm afraid not. We're only visiting for the night. Then I have to return to Republic City." He said honestly as Korro looked at him with disappointment.

Korro: "But, No, you're supposed to move here. You're supposed to teach me." He said seriously while his hands gripped into fists.

Tenzin: "I'm sorry, Korro. Your airbending training is going to have to wait."

Later that Night

The Grandmaster White Lotus members, Tenzin and Korro sat down in the dining hall eating dinner until Korro asked Tenzin.

Korro: "So how long until you're ready to teach me airbending? A week? A month?" He questioned Tenzin

Tenzin: "It could be much longer, Korro." He said honestly to the young man.

Korro: "I don't understand. Why are you making me wait?" He questioned Tenzin.

Tenzin: "I have a responsibility to Republic City. I'm one of it's leaders, and the situation there is very unstable right now." He explained calmly to Korro.

Korro: "But you also have a responsibility to teach me. Believe me, I'd be happy to find another airbending master, but you're the only one. We're struck with each other." He said honestly while looking down at his bowl of rice.

Tenzin: "I wish there were another way." He said to Korro unknowingly giving him an idea.

Korro: "Wait, there is. If you can't stay here, then I'll go back to Republic City with you. It's perfect." He said smiling as he fist bumped the air.

Grand Master Lotus: "Absolutely not! The city is far too dangerous. Avatar Aang tasked us with keeping you safe while you mastered the four elements." He said seriously as Korro leaned against the table.

Korro: "I get that, but I don't think keeping me locked up in this compound like a prisoner is what he had in mind." He said starting to get angry.

Tenzin: "I know this is difficult to accept, but it's not the right time for you to come to the city." He explained calmly as Korro growled then stood up form the table.

Korro: "Whatever, I'm out of here!" He growled deeply before exiting the dining hall and slammed the door behind him. Earlier next morning as Tenzin and his family left the South Pole, Korro was on Naga near a cliff moping til he saw Tenzin and his family on Oogi flying off til he petted Naga as she whimpered then Korro got a look of determination in his eyes making the light blue darken as a storm at sea. Later that night Korro ran into Naga's pen and began putting the saddle onto his polar bear dog until a voice startled him.

Katara: "Nice night for an escape, isn't it?" She asked while Korro looked over at her then down at his feet.

Korro: "I have to leave. I have to find my own path as the Avatar." He told Katara honestly as he looked back up at her.

Katara: "I know you do. Aang's time has passed. My brother and many of my friends are gone. It's time for you and your generation to take on the responsibility of keeping peace and balance in the world. And I think you're going to be a great Avatar, Korro." She said honestly before Korro hugged her.

Korro: "Thank you, Master Katara for everything you ever taught me here." He said honestly as Katara hugged him back.

Katara: "Good-bye, Korro and be safe." She said to him before Korro moved back and began earth bending a tunnel out of the White Lotus compound then left.

Korro got onto Naga once they got out of the tunnel and rode off to his parent's home to say his goodbye at least for now. He hugged his parents close.

Korro: "Mom, Dad, I'll miss you." He said honestly as his mother; Senna caressed his cheeks.

Senna: "We love you so much, Korro and be careful out there." She said honestly as she kissed her son's forehead making Korro lean down slightly then walked away to get back on Naga.

Korro looked over at his parents once more before riding off to the docks and boarded a ship heading to Republic City in the shipping basement. Korro leaned against Naga with his hands behind his head smirking at what he would see and do in Republic City once he got there before falling asleep.

Republic City's Docks

Korro awoke to voices and gently nudged Naga to wake her up smiling.

Korro: "Naga, we're here." He said as the shipping doors opened up showing the young man Republic City then he got onto Naga and rode out of the ship passing the ship's crew. "Thanks for the ride." He said as Naga ran down the street seeing Kyoshi bridge, Police blimps, Sato-moblies. "Wow. Look at this place. I've never seen so many sato-mobiles." He said before looking over at Air Temple Island along with the statue of Avatar Aang. "Air Temple Island. That's where Tenzin lives. You ready for a little swim, girl?." He asked Naga til she sniffed the air and ran off at high speed. "Okay, okay. Food first, then Air temple." He said as Naga ran into moving traffic as Sato-mobiles honked at them. "Watch it, Naga! Look out!" He shouted out as he heard screeching tires and breaking glass, He looked over his shoulder seeing the car crash then heard people shouting at him to watch where he was going. "Oops, sorry about that. Excuse us, coming through, heads up, sorry. We're new in town" He said as Naga began sniffing the ground to stick her huge head into a shish kabob kiosk scaring the woman who was making them. Naga opened up her maw to eat until Korra stopped her. "Naga, wait." He said sternly then hopped off the saddle and walked up to the front of the kiosk looking at the various kabobs. "We'll take one of everything, please." He said til the woman said.

Sales lady: "That'll be twenty yuans." She said seriously as a young woman walked up behind Korro.

???: "Twenty yuans? Mayla are you trying to rip off a newbie to the city?"

A young woman's voice sounded out as Korro looked over his shoulder to see a beautiful pale young woman wearing fire nation colors with (hair length and color) wavy hair in a (hair style) with (eye color) jewel like eyes.

(Y/n's clothes)

???: "How about I pay ya, ten yuans and I'll give ya five more yuans for some dipping sauce; extra spicy." She haggled with the kiosk owner while Korro looked at her stunned before a bag was given to him. "Here you go, newbie. Don't worry about paying me back okay." She said before petting Naga lightly smiling. "See ya around." She said walking off until a few blocks away in the park a polar bear dog jumped onto her path making her fall onto the grass. "Whoa! Easy there, girl!" She yelled out surpised til she looked up seeing the new guy again. "Oh, it's just you, uh... Can you tell your pup to get off of me?" She questioned as the guy got off his dog and pushed her up to sit then the young woman stood up dusting off her clothes. "Thanks, never met a polar bear dog before she's cute in a way. Not as cute as my brother's fire ferret: Pabu though. Anyway what do I owe the surprise heart attack for?" She questioned til she was given the shish kabob bag with ten kabobs still in it.

Korro: "Thanks for your help back there with the kiosk owner and I would feel bad if Naga and I ate all the kabobs that you bought us.....So, *ahem* I'm Korro by the way, what's your name?" He asked as the young woman looked up at him with a tilt of her head before she began laughing at him.

???: "I'm sorry, it's just you greet people weirdly even for a newcomer to Republic City." She said honestly before clearing her throat lightly. "Thanks though for these, I can share them with my big brothers later at home." She said before punching Korro in the shoulder strongly but not to harsh. "Nice to meet you, Korro. I'm Y/n and welcome to Republic City." She said while smiling at Korro and walked away waving as she walked on but gave a hobo friend two kabobs as well. "Maybe I'll see you around some time." She said laughing while unknowingly to her Korro was watching her walk away essentially from her hips to her bottom.

Korro: Whistles lowly impressed by the new girl he had just meet as he looked aside smirking while looking like a love sick polar bear dog. "I hope to see you again to Y/n." He shouted out over to her as she looked behind her shoulder to wink at him before walking out of sight. "Damn, she's hotter than blue fire.~" He thought in his head.

Naga looked at Korro before barking in his face and made him snap out of his lovesick trance as he heard a man talking into a megaphone.

Announcer: "Are you tired of living under the tyranny of benders? Then joined the equalists. For too long, the bending elite of this city have forced non-benders to live as lower class citizens. Join Amon, and together we will tear down the bending establishment." He told the crowd around him.

Korro: "What are you talking about? Bending is the coolest thing in the world." He stated as he walked towards the announcer guy.

Announcer: "Oh, yeah? Let me guess. You're a bender." He questioned sarcastically.

Korro: "Yeah, I am." He said seriously crossing his arms onto his chest.

Announcer: "And I bet you'd just love to knock me off this platform with some water bending, huh?" He taunted Korro.

Korro: Growls angrily at the man. "I'm seriously thinking about it." He said honestly before the announcer guy shouted into his megaphone again.

Announcer: "This is what's wrong with this city. Bender's likes this boy only use their power to oppress us." He said as the people began shouting in agreement.

Korro: "What? I'm not oppressing anyone. You're... you're oppressing yourself." He said as he got onto Naga to walk off as the guy shouted at him.

Announcer: "That didn't even make sense." He shouted out

Later that afternoon Korro and Naga walked down a random street as Korro asked for directions to Air Temple Island from a elderly woman whom gave him directions til warning him to leave and that it wasn't safe. Korro watched three benders threaten an old man about protection money before speaking up.

Korro: "Or else what, Hoodlum?" He questioned as he rolled his shoulders making his joints crack then cracked his knuckles.

Triple Threat Triad Leader: "Since you're obviously fresh off the boat, let me explain a couple things dorin Triple Threat Triad territory, and we are about to put you in the hospital." He threatened Korro as he scoffed at them.

Korro: "You're are the only ones who are gonna to need a hospital. And, for your sake, I hope there's one nearby." He said seriously before punching his fist into his own palm.

Triple Threat Triad Leader: "Who do you think you are, boy?" He asked angrily.

Korro: "Why don't you come and find out, ladies." He taunted them before a fight broke out as Korro showed everyone that he was the Avatar laughing. "Got an idea about who I am now, chumps?" He asked sarcastically til the car drove off by him. "You're not getting away that easily." He said seriously before earth bending then sirens sounded out above him. "Cool. Metal benders. I caught the bad guys for you, officers." He said smirking til a cop told that he was under arrest as well. "What do you mean I'm under arrest? Those are the bad guys over there. They were smashing up a shop. Wait. You can't arrest me. Let me explain." He said to the officer whom would not hear him out so he jumped onto Naga and they ran off of to get caught and taken to Republic City Police headquarters.

Police Chief: "Let's see. Multiple counts of destruction of private and city property, not to mention evading arrest." The chief said before slamming the clipboard she was holding onto the table. "You're in a whole mess of trouble, young man." She said seriously.

Korro: "But there was some thugs threatening a helpless shopkeeper and I--" He tried to explain to the officer.

Police Chief: "Can it! You should have called the police and stayed out of the way." She said seriously as she sat down in front of the young man.

Korro: "But I couldn't just sit by and do nothing. It's my duty to help people. See, I'm the Avatar." He said honestly.

Police Chief: "Oh, I am well aware of who you are, and your avatar title might impress some people, but not me." She said seriously and coldly.

Korro: Groans lowly before sighing. "Alright. Fine, then I want to talk to whoever's in charge." He said seriously

Police Chief: "You're talking to her. I'm chief Beifong." She said honestly.

Korro: "Wait. Beifong? Lin Beifing? You're Toph's daughter?" He questioned surpised honestly.

Lin: "What of it, kid?" She questioned Korro.

Korro: "Well, then, why are you treating me like a criminal? Avatar Aang and your mother were friends. They saved the world together." He said seriously surprised how Lin was acting towards him.

Lin: "That's ancient history. And it's got diddly-squat to do with the mess you are in right now. You can't just waltz in here and dole out vigilante justice like you own the place." She said seriously before a officer talked to her saying Councilman Tenzin was here for Korro. "Let him in." She said calmly.

Korro: "Tenzin. Sorry, I got a little sidetracked on my way to see you." He said honestly as well nervously.

Tenzin: Inhales a breath of air slowly to calm down. "Lin, you are looking radiant as usual." He said trying to sweet talk her.

Lin: "Cut the garbage, Tenzin. Why is the Avatar in Republic City? I thought you were supposed to be moving down to the South Pole to train him." She said seriously to him.

Tenzin: "My relocation has been delayed. The avatar, on the other hand, will be heading back to the South Pole immediately, where you will stay put." He said seriously as Korro tried to speak only for Tenzin to interrupt him. "If you would be so kind as to drop the charges against Korro, I will take full responsibility for today is regrettable events and cover all the damages." He said towards Lin making her scoff a sigh.

Lin: "Fine. Get him out of my city." She said while moving her hand a bit to make the cuffs unlock on Korro's wrists.

Tenzin: "Always a pleasure, Lin. Let's go, Korro." He said seriously while Lin and Korro gave each other the 'I'm watching you gesture'.

Korro: "Tenzin, please, don't send me back home." He begged Tenzin as they were waiting to pick up Naga.

Tenzin: "You blatantly disobeyed my wishes and the orders of the white lotus." He said seriously at the young man.

Korro: Groans lowly before saying to Tenzin. "Katara agreed with me that I should come. She said my destiny is in Republic City." He said seriously while watching Tenzin's face become red with rage.

Tenzin: "Don't bring my mother into this!" He shouted angrily at Korro.

Korro: "Look, I can't wait any longer to finish my training. Being cooped up and hidden away from the world isn't helping me become a better Avatar. I saw a lot of the city today, and it's totally out of whack. I understand now why you need to stay. Republic City does need you, but it needs me too." He said honestly while giving Tenzin a fair point as well.

Officer: "Is this your polar bear dog, sir?" He questioned as Naga was licking his head.

Later at Air Temple Island

Three white lotus members stood at the dock of Air temple island to take Korro back to the South pole as Korro sighed in defeat after coming so far until Jinora, Ikki and Meelo flew down towards him then once they landed the air bending children hugged him tightly.

Ikki: "Are you coming to live with us in the island?" She asked while Korro knelt down to be face to face with the kids.

Korro: "No. I'm sorry, Ikki. I have to go home now." He said honestly while the kids awed in disappointment. He turned around to leave with the white lotus members until Tenzin spoke up.

Tenzin: "Wait. I have done my best to guide Republic City towards the dream my father had for it. But you are right. It has fallen out of balance since he passed. I thought I should put off your training in order to uphold his legacy, but you are his legacy. You may stay and train airbending here with me. Republic City needs it's Avatar once again." He said honestly as Korro smiled widely.

Korro: "Yes! Thank you! You're the best." He said seriously before picking up Jinora, Ikki and Meelo into a polar bear dog hug and even brought Tenzin into the hug easily lifting his new teacher off the ground.

New Morning In Republic City at City Hall

Cheers and applause filled the air as press took pictures of Korro at a podium while he cleared his throat lightly to speak.

Korro: "Hello, I'm Korro, Your new Avatar." He said as reporters began asking him questions. "Uh, Yes, I am definitely here to stay, but, honestly, I-I don't have a plan yet. See, I'm still in training, But, look, all I know is Avatar Aang meant for this city to be the center of peace and balance in the world. And I believe we can make his dream a reality. I look forward to serving you, I'm so happy to be here. Thank you, Republic City." He said to the crowd while far away someone turned off a radio that was broadcasting his speech.

Lieutenant: "Amon, how do you want to handle this?"

Amon: "So the Avatar has arrived early. It looks like we'll have to accelerate our plans."

Back at the Air Temple

Korro smuggled a radio into his bedroom and listened to the Pro bending half time show.

Shiro: "The Fire Ferrets Dancer, everyone. Y/n is dazzling to crowd and the opposing team with her fire dancing. Dangerous and seductive is this young lady in her fire nation colors dress. Half of her profits go to Republic City's orphanage with each pro bending fight. She's enchanted all the pro bending teams including the raining champions the Wolfbats with her flames as well has a fan group of young men at the age of sixteen." He said as Y/n finished her dance by inhaling her own fire then roared out like a tiger-dillo loudly then bowed down as the stadium filled with cheers and applause for more.
