Chapter 3: The Story Starts Here

(And we have the next part! I am using my old story to rewrite this piece. I did change a lot of things now that we have more characters. I do wish we can get the African countries from the game to debut next. I feel like that would be the next best batch to see. That, and Mexico. Enjoy!)

"Do you know when we will depart?" Canada asked curiously.

"I'm not sure, but at least no one will steal from us. We can just relax until we have to leave!" America said in a relaxed tone as he laid on a comfy bed.

The king had offered them wonderful guest rooms for their duration of their stay. The two knights, Singapore and Malaysia had taken their plane to place it inside the castle walls and gave them the crates and other requested items. They were sharing a room, but it was big and had a grand bathroom. America had a joyful smile as he slept, but Canada wished he was still awake to speak with. They were just attacked by a trio of strangers! She sighed and held a fond smile at her twin and turned off the lights to let him sleep. She was a little restless, so she exited the room quietly to take a walk. She didn't pay attention and found herself bumping into Princess Vietnam.

"Ah! I'm so sorry, princess!" Canada said quickly with a bow of her head as she searched for any injury.

Vietnam reassured her calmly, "I am fine. It is alright, and please just call me Vietnam. Is your twin asleep?"

Dread filled Canada for many reasons. Reason 1: someone wanted to speak with her twin. Reason 2: what did her twin do this time? He already pissed off Mexico and Cuba. The last reason: she is the princess and if he did anything to anger her, they would be in so much trouble that she was sure their former caretakers, dad and papa, would definitely hear about it.

Realizing she needed to answer the princess, Canada apologized in disappointment, "Yes. He's tired, but he does wake up early. You'll be able to talk to him then, but if he did anything to insult or annoy you, I am so sorry. He's both the smartest and stupidest person alive"

Vietnam saw how distressed she was over her twin and replied calmly, "I understand the feeling. I have many younger siblings who do the same. Well, it is getting late. I will need my rest. Please enjoy your time here and excuse me"

With a gentle breeze, Vietnam took a bow and walked away. Canada wondered why she was interested in her twin until she let out a yawn herself and decided to retire to her room.

As for the princess, she marched to her room with many thoughts running through her mind. She knew China was up to something, but she didn't know what it was as well as Japan being more reserved than usual. To top it all off, the American she fought with is now at the palace for some reason! Why was this happening now of all times? A knock at her door shook her from her thoughts as Thailand and Macau entered her room.

"What did you find?" Vietnam asked seriously as she sat on her bed.

Macau handed her a few notepads written by hand from China as he said, "This is all I could find. Some of his notes, but I believe you're right. Our big brother is up to something"

Vietnam took the notepads and read as much as she could. There were scribbles of seven items, a spell of sorts written in sloppy writing that reminded her of Korea's, powerful beings that either reminded her of dragons and myths, and only one legible sentence.

Although I may not with you, I always watch over you. Nothing to fear for there will be others who will come as well. Our fates are bound and nothing to fear. Trust in those you met and work with them. I promise we will be together again, but only when everyone is here again.

She could feel the sadness and worry the message conveyed. She huffed before returning the notepads to Macau.

"Please figure out what this means. Something is coming, and I want us to be ready" she ordered with Macau only taking a bow and promising to find the answer.

"Try not to worry so much for your big day tomorrow!" Thailand reassured with a grin, "Oh! And we have those guests too! I am sure this will be wonderful ~ ana!"

She could only hope as they left her room. She fell back on her bed and drifted off to sleep to prepared herself for tomorrow.

With the whole palace asleep, China was meditating in his room quietly with incense burning. He slowly opened his eyes and knew what was to come. Tomorrow would be the final day of peace. He was not afraid. On the contrary, he was calm for he knew what was to come and what he needed to do. He put out the candles and took a bow before laying in his bed with a confident grin and trusting his siblings to handle everything for him.

The next day came sooner than most expected. The entire kingdom was so excited as they prepared for Princess Vietnam's coronation ceremony. There was not a quiet voice among the people as they went to about their day and doing everything they could to celebrate.

The Nordic crew had set up their stall while Finland, Sweden, and Iceland took a few blankets, snacks, and drinks to enjoy as they were ready to depart to watch the ceremony at the Imperial Garden. They had drawn straws to see who would go and watch, believing in random chance to decide their fate. So, they won while Denmark, Norway, and Greenland would tend to the stall and their ship.

"Make sure you tell us everything that happened!" Denmark shouted excitedly as he waved goodbye to them.

"Stay together" Norway asked of them with a nod of her head as she watched them leave.

"Run off if you can" Greenland spoke without hesitation as Denmark only wrapped an arm around his shoulders with a laugh.

Iceland groaned while Finland happily waved back and replied with equal enthusiasm, "We will! Take care of everything! Have fun!"

The trio departed to the Gardens and already found many people already setting up for the coronation ceremony. Finland placed the blankets on the ground with Sweden placing a cooler for their drinks and food. Iceland was the only one staring at the golden balcony where the king and his sister would stand. For some reason or another, Iceland sensed something dark in that castle, but he couldn't understand what it was. He gripped his hands tightly at his side as he stared at it.

"Hey! Ice!" Finland shouted to break the youngest brother out of his thoughts, "Are you excited?!"

Iceland looked between the couple and noticed they didn't pick up on anything wrong. He groaned and decided to sit with them and keep quiet. Finland took out one bottle of alcohol to drink excitedly as Iceland rolled his eyes and turned to Sweden.

"Do not worry" Sweden answered as he noticed Iceland's jumpiness, "We won't let anything happen to you and our family. We are important to each other and will always be there. Promise"

Oddly enough, that did give Iceland some comfort. Some, but not enough as he looked at the castle, hoping he was entirely wrong about this feeling of his.

Romana, Monaco, and Cameroon were sitting at a balcony overlooking the Gardens. Spain was standing near the doors and waiting for Portugal to return with a dear younger brother of a friend of his. While Monaco does manage the money for her family, she was not the person who rented the rooms for the upcoming ceremony. As for Romana, she was keeping an eye on Spain. She rarely saw him in a tizzy manner, so she wondered why he was acting up.

"So, why are you here?" Monaco asked as she decided to sit on the little table and across from Romana.

Her Italian companion only huffed with her arms crossed before confessing, "I am trying to find my sorellina. She left with that potato-eating bastard and now, I can't find them! They better not have eloped! Ah, no, she also left with the albino one as well"

Cameroon wasn't expecting Romana to have such a sharp tongue while Monaco only laughed in understanding before taking a teacup for herself.

"So am I. Mon petite nièce ran off with her pères, so I am here to collect her. She was supposed to learn from me, but she takes after them more than they realize" Monaco explained warmly.

Romana only laughed in agreement and held a smirk, "Ah, sono d'accordo. Oi! España! Where is Portugal and that friend of yours supposed to be here?!"

He was still worried until he looked at the doors to see the knob turn to reveal Portugal and his other guest. Romana's expression changed to worry and amazement as she the person Spain was worried about the most.

"Luxembourg?! Perché sei qui?" Romana asked in a surprised manner with Spain even holding a concerned expression.

He is a gentleman a little taller than her with wavy, blonde hair that covered his left eye. He was wearing a light, blue-collared shirt with white vest. He has a red ribbon around his neck and has a pair of fancy, blue jeans on. He has black shoes with a blade at his side. He is also the younger brother to Netherlands and Belgium.

He placed a bottle of wine on the table before answering, "My siblings have disappeared after doing research on a famous myth about our Europa. I must find them. I fear something has happened to them"

Despite trying his best to hold himself up, he was breaking. He didn't know where his family was and that frightened him. Monaco could only feel sympathy for the boy as Romana only nodded her head in understanding.

"We are in the same situation. My sorellina has also disappeared. Spain's friends are also not with him" she explained showing care for him, "So you're not doing this alone. We are going to find them together. Now, tell us what your siblings were researching over a nice bottle of wine!"

She let him sit with her as Cameroon was curious about the research.

"Ah, thanks Miss Romana" Luxembourg said in relief before pouring himself and the others wine, "You're not going to believe it, but it had something to do with the Three Tomes of Europa that supposedly exist. I know it is a fairytale, but Netherlands and Belgium were sure they could find it"

Cameroon gasped before asking, "You mean, they found the Artifacts of the World?!"

With that, they were happily conversing about the myth as Spain and Portugal were worried. Spain hadn't heard from Prussia and Austria as well as Netherlands and Belgium. He didn't want to worry anyone, but he did find it concerning when Feliciana suddenly disappeared. Portugal put a hand on his shoulder as a gesture of friendship and comfort with a vow to help him find their missing friends and family.

"Well, we better leave now if we are going to get a good seat for the coronation ceremony" Estonia spoke as he looked at his friends with Egypt at his side.

Much like the Nordic crew, they drew straws to go with Egypt to the ceremony. Unfortunately, it was Estonia and Latvia who won because Poland was furious and remained in the shop in frustration. Only Lithuania was standing outside of the shop to see them off.

"She'll be fine. She just needs some time to calm down. Do have fun, and I hope you have find anything about your missing family members, Egypt!" Lithuania spoke warmly as Egypt only nodded his head.

"Of course, we will. Oh! Latvia, are going to record this?" Estonia asked curiously as he saw her holding a tiny black box.

"Of course! I thought Poland would be happy if I brought back photos of the event for her to enjoy" Latvia said excitedly as Estonia agreed.

France used his wealth to rent a wonderful penthouse for their stay that also had a grand viewing deck for them to gaze and watch the ceremony from!

"YOU HAVE MONEY, YOU FROG!" England shouted before Scotland put him in another choke hold to stop him from saying anything else.

The deck was vast and held many cards. There is a table filled with fresh food and drinks which Norn and Ireland took great pleasure in eating and drinking. Wales was sitting on one of the chairs and reading England's tome.

Seychelles excitedly gazed over the balcony to exclaim, "Oh, I can't wait to see this!"

France only nodded his head before stating, "Yes, but I do hope no fireworks fly near here. Remember your experiments with gunpowder, mon cher?"

At the mention of that joke, England relaxed and laughed before Scotland released him. England took a seat next to Wales before snatching his tome back with his older brother only laughing sheepishly. Scotland grabbed a bottle of whisky for himself. Ireland poured the drinks and handed each to everyone but Seychelles.

"Here's ta a wonderful adventure!" Ireland shouted as he raised his beer.

France held his wine glass, Scotland raised his whisky, Wales happily held his liquor, Norn almost threw his liqueur, and England held his gin. They slammed their drinks with a clinch before taking a big gulp from their drinks.

"At least we get ta see ta princess! I bet she'll be pretty!" Scotland said as he wiped some of the whisky off his face.

England replied in a whisper, "Only one person is pretty enough to me."

England glanced up and smiled when he saw France happily chatting with Ireland and their excited Seychelles.

Lastly, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein were staying at a grand hotel themselves and overseeing the ceremony from the comfort of their room. They were having dinner by the time the ceremony was about to start. Russia was gazing at the bright palace and enjoying the warm weather he rarely experience.

"I wonder if this place will be warm and with friends for me to make," Russia asked aloud with a hand holding his chin.

Ukraine answered with a smile as he stood next to his little brother "I've read that Asiand is bright and warm place filled with many people. I am sure you could make one friend, Russia"

Russia could only smile and couldn't wait to see what kind of friends he would make.

Ukraine continued to explain, "It has wonderful food and colorful cities. The wildlife is flourishing and growing. That is nothing like our home, but please remember to try and get to know the princess too. If you can be with her, I suggest you do"

Belarus scoffed before interjecting, "And if she's not good enough for you, you can always remain with us, big brother! We love you!"

Russia nervously laughed at his little sister while nodding to his older brother. Switzerland only stared at them as a brief image of himself speaking with his three brothers about one of them getting married soon. He quickly shook his head to remove the memory and remain focused. He was here to find and bring them back, even if they will be kicking and screaming!

Liechtenstein placed a hand over his, held a sweet smile, and promised, "Don't worry, big brother. I know we will find them. I am sure of it!"

He was grateful their little sister was confident at least, so he decided to relax and enjoy the ceremony as well. He knew he was going to find them, sooner or later.

As for Russia, he couldn't believe such a place existed. They watch the ocean's waves carry crash along the harbor as the people's voices were heard from everywhere with the smell of wonderful food around them. The sky began to slowly darken, and the stars showered the sky. The three siblings smiled as they watched the changing sky.

Inside the palace, the siblings were preparing themselves by wearing their traditional dresses and outfits as they stood in the throne with China overseeing them. He couldn't be prouder of them. He knew they were going to go far and do everything they can to look out for each other.

He cleared his throat to get their attentions and spoke seriously, "Alright ~ aru! It is Vietnam's big day! I want everyone on their best behaviors!"

Each sibling let out a hearty, joyful, and confident cheer that they would not do anything to mess up her big day. With that, they were dismissed from the throne room and waited just below it to wait for the big event to happen.

"Seriously, do I have to wear this? Dad's not here!" America complained at the tight collar of the dress shirt around his neck.

"Yes!" Canada answered sharply as she tightened his bowtie, "We are not going to appear sloppy in front of them!"

She was wearing a red dress with her hair neatly comb. America rolled his eyes at her just as Japan walked right pass them wearing a traditional kimono for event.

Being friendly, America called out to him, "Heya, Prince Japan! Ready for the ceremony! Ah, what is the ceremony for again?"

Canada almost wanted to strangle her twin for his lack of manners and behavior, but the prince turned around and held a smile with dark intentions behind it. The twins were surprised to see such an expression until he changed it.

"Why, this is my big sister's coronation ceremony. Afterwards, she shall meet one of her potential suitors. I believe he is a duke from Eastern Europa. I do hope you will enjoy the rest of your time here"

The twins were stunned as he walked away from them. Both were frightened and concerned by the brief darkness that covered the prince's expression, but America was a little envious of the duke that was going to meet with Vietnam.

Behind them, a pair of red doors opened to reveal Vietnam wearing her traditional outfit. She was dressed in an Áo dài colored with red silk dress with beautiful golden outlines and the pattern of yin and yang flowing through the design. She is wearing a pair of beautiful, golden trousers. Her hair was tied up and held by golden pins with beautiful lotus flowers adorning it. She wore a silver crown that would later be replaced by a golden one for the ceremony.

With a flushed expression, America sharply turned and ran without even thinking of where he was going! Canada shouted after him but sighed when she realized he wasn't going to stop nor listen to her. With a shrug, she gave chase to her twin, leaving a completely confused Vietnam standing there. Just like she predicted, America didn't pay attention and ran into China!

China was wearing a traditional changshan with a golden dragon flowing from behind and the front. The buttons were closed over his chest. His hair was in a loose ponytail with a plum blossom woven into his hair. The design was red and covered in with lucky symbols in his language. He wore black silk pants with fancy shoes with his hands in his long sleeves.

America quickly apologized with a bow to him, but China whispered, "No need to apologize, But I do have one request for you, America. Please watch out for Vietnam. She'll need you."

This confused the male twin as China went to place a jade bangle around America's wrist before walking pass him. America stared the bangle before Canada approached him with a furious expression before calming down and taking him with her.

As for China, he held his arm out for her to take. Vietnam grabbed his arm and walked with him to the throne room together.

China smiled joyfully with a grateful tone, "You are so beautiful. Now, remember to forgive your siblings"
