            "What an idiot" Vietnam said in an annoyed tone with an odd grin on her features.

Despite being utterly annoyed and frustrated with him, she was still holding a grin. Macau was surprised to see such a change in her while Thailand only laughed and took it as an opportunity to tease her.

"Ah, but he's been by your side, hasn't he, Vietnam?" Thailand asked in a knowing tone, "He hasn't caused you a lot of trouble and must've done something to help you, ana!"

Vietnam sent him a scowl as Macau glanced between them. He knew Vietnam was close to Taiwan and Thailand. In fact, both were the only ones to tease her without her almost throwing her hands. Macau laughed at the memory of Korea and China teasing her about anything. She would often throw Korea over her shoulder in retaliation or spar with China. It warmed his heart to see Vietnam and Thailand interacting like this.

"I am surprised you want to go with Russia" Egypt commented to Lithuania who was keeping his distance from Russia.

Switzerland was the only one staying near him, but Lithuania had a feeling that those two worked out some sort of deal.

"It is true that I do not want to work with him, but we need extra strength. Our friends are either too injured or can't come with us. Estonia is still tense around Russia while Latvia doesn't want to work with him anymore if she can help it. Since we don't have Poland to help us, it is up to me to handle this"

Lithuania was deathly serious about this. His deal with duke didn't work out and as a result, he and his fellow Baltic Traders suffered because of it. He didn't want to bring more trouble to them, didn't want Russia to force another deal, and would do everything to help Poland as well.

Egypt remained quiet before answering in an understanding tone, "You know, my mother actually told me stories about the Artifacts of the World. I didn't believe it to be real and only stories used to have children behave. I wonder what she would think of it if she were here to see it. However, I am focused on my friends. I am sure Greece and Cyprus would be interested to know about the Artifacts as well"

Lithuania stared at him before holding a grin of agreement, "I can't wait to show them the Artifacts of the World either!"

Russia silently listened to both groups with a small smile on his features. It truly warmed his heart to be near others again and listening to their stories. He hoped he could continue to listen to such stories even after this task is over.

"Are you ok, Russia?" Switzerland asked as he was marching forward, "You've been oddly quiet since we've left. Did America piss you off that much?"

Russia shook his head to answer, "He can try, but he is the first person I have met that doesn't hesitate to even talk to me. That is wonderful! It is like I have a new friend! Although he can be loud and immature at times, I am sure that is part of who he is. I have feeling we can reach an understanding. Though, that will have to wait until everything is settled, da?"

Switzerland didn't think of it like that. In the span of few minutes that he met America, he wanted to shove him away. On the other hand, Switzerland did hear the rumors of the cold-hearted, deathly terrifying Duke Russia and learned how he only wanted friends in the end. Perhaps their interaction can lead to a friendship of sorts.

"Enough of the hard thinking" Russia said as he pointed out the palace in the distance, "Especially since we are here again. I would like to find my siblings and the Nordic Crew to inform them of everything, but we do not have the time. We need a meeting now with the prince. Is everyone ready?!"

Russia turned around to grin at them before everyone agreed. Switzerland went to Lithuania and used a rope to tie his wrists and Egypt's as well. Only Vietnam and Macau didn't have their wrists tied, but they were watched by Thailand. They entered the vacant courtyard and waited for someone to approach them.

"I didn't expect to see you so soon, Russia" Finland stated with a cold expression as he stood in front of them, "What brings you here now of all times? Are you going to turn yourself in?"

"Not today, Finland" Russia answered with the child-like smile still present on his face, "But I come barring good news! I've found the princess and a few more as well! They were planning to rebel!"

Finland turned to the group and let out a gasp when he saw Lithuania was among the prisoners. Lithuania only flashed a reassuring grin which only made Finland suspicious about everything here. Was there a plan happening underneath his noise? He didn't know how to respond to this.

"Finland! Who is there? We have work to do!" Czechia shouted with her and Slovakia following her only to jump at the group before them, "What the heck?! What are you doing here?! Is that the princess?! What are we doing standing around here for?! Hurry up! We need to take them away! Finally, some good news for the prince as well. Slovakia help Thailand with taking the group to the basement! Hurry!"

"Right away, my lady!" Slovakia said in delight before approaching Thailand, "Thanks for helping me with this too, my friend! Let's go!"

Thailand only bowed before nodding his head to take Lithuania, Egypt, Macau, and Vietnam with them. Russia approached them with Switzerland following him.

"Come on, we need to meet with the prince. Oh, and do bring the Nordic Crew and my siblings. I am sure they would want to hear this as well" Russia said warmly as they walked towards the palace with the reluctant Finland following them.

"Hey, Norway. Can you hear me?" Finland said internally, hoping that the Nordic Crew to hear him.

Norway remained in the ship of the Nordic Crew with Sweden and Iceland being the only two to come and go from it. Greenland remained at her side and helped his big sister whenever he could. Norway grabbed his wrist to have him be aware that she was communicating with their party.

"Yes, Finland. Speak your mind. What is troubling you?" Norway asked in a quiet manner until she sensed something powerful near him, "Has something happened? I am picking up a few strong magical traces from where you are standing"

"I figured as much. Russia must've found more than he bargained for" Finland declared with Denmark interjecting to stop Finland from doing anything reckless.

"Hold on, Fin" Denmark cut in and asked Norway directly, "What kind of magic is this? Do you know it?"

Finland pouted as Norway answered, "It appears that this power is similar to my own. Two others in fact. I don't know who the holders are, but I would not be surprised if I were to encounter them soon. Finland, I understand your grievances with Russia. For now, do not engage nor antagonize. I believe we need to work with him for now"

"Really, Norway?!" Finland exclaimed as she nodded her head.

"Unfortunately, yes" Norway explained, "Russia isn't working with Prince Japan. He is working against him. He's on our side since he's been in contact with them. I do believe he has his reasons for doing this, so we will have to listen to him for now. I apologize Finland, but you will have to be pleasant around Russia"

"You heard my little sister, Fin! Don't start any fights!" Denmark said with a chuckle as Finland pouted still.

He followed Russia's group and entered the palace with his group following him. Thailand did take Lithuania, Egypt, Macau, and Vietnam to the basement with Slovakia in front of them. Thailand motioned both to be quiet before he drew his krabong. He raised the weapon and prepared to strike only for Slovakia to turn around and nearly scream if Vietnam didn't cover his mouth with her hand!

"What do we do now?!" she asked in a harsh whisper.

"Bring him with us! Let's go!" Lithuania urged as they ran to the dungeons and entered it to find Croatia tending to an awaken Turkey.

They remained quiet as Thailand motioned them to stand down and wait for him. He walked into the cellar with Macau and Vietnam following him.

"Excuse me! I hope you don't mind me being here!" Thailand greeted warmly as he waved to them, "I hope you don't mind, but I am tasked with bringing them in"

He gestured to the prince and princess behind him before bowing and waving to them. Both moved in front of him to enter the cellar. Croatia raised a brow with Turkey shaking his head.

"Sorry, but I don't think you realize who I am" Turkey declared as he picked himself up and drew his saber, "Because I won't let you enter without a good reason. So, you better have one, or I might have to get rid of you. How does that sound?"

Turkey was ready for a fight and Lithuania was ready to give him one. Since stealth and keeping a low profile are the main objectives of this, Egypt was the one who stepped forward and held a smile at Turkey.

"Marhaban turkiana" Egypt said in a pleasant tone as his smile remained on his features.

Turkey stopped his attack with a tense silence hanging in the air. His figure began to shake before he burst into a fit of laughter!

"Ha! I didn't expect to see you here, Egypt!" Turkey said with delight, "I thought you would be waiting in some place that was comfy! So, how did you find us here? Don't worry, they can take a look. I know there's more of you back there as well!"

To be honest, it was a nice change of pace for the group instead of being on the run and always fighting each other. Lithuania was tense, but Vietnam and Macau didn't hesitate to enter the dungeon and begin their search. Egypt and Thailand remained with Turkey and Croatia who decided it would be best to exchange stories.

"Who is in here?" Vietnam asked as she opened the doors with Macau standing behind her.

France was the first to react to her voice along with Korea. Both shouted in relief to hear Vietnam's voice.

"Here! What brings you here, Vietnam?" Korea asked with a shrug before a grin was on his features, "And how is my twin brother doing? That power didn't destroy anything, right?"

Macau sighed in relief as he adjusted his glasses until his eyes fell on Hong Kong who was meditating in place.

"Ah, I see you are finally taking lessons from our older brother. I wish it was under better circumstances, but this will do" Macau said before kneeling in front of his brother with a serious expression, "But this is surprising. How did they manage to catch you?"

Hong Kong opened his eyes and only shrugged before answering, "Like, yeah. But we've got our work cut out for us anyway. So, like, what is the plan, or do we not have one?"

Macau was relieved to see his brother doing well, but he hoped Hong Kong wasn't trying to save face. He had been through so much with the United Kingdom crew, but he hoped that Hong Kong was still ready for a fight.

"Yes, we have a plan. I will tell you some, but it would be best if very little knew of what we are attempting to do here" Macau explained in a thoughtful tone with Hong Kong only nodding his head in agreement.

As for Vietnam, she was running deeper and deeper into the dungeon and kneeled before Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore in utter relief. She held a smile that surprised them, but they were happy to see her safe and sitting before them.

"It is good to see you again" she said in relief, "Are you doing ok?"

"We've been better, but thanks for asking, Vietnam! You always did care about us!" Philippines said in delight as he grinned.

Despite their circumstances, they were in high spirits. It brought her great relief to see them doing well.

"Well, I am just grateful my little twin brother isn't here. That power is out of Japan's hands as it should be, but I don't know how long it will be until he figures that out, you know?" Korea said as he gained everyone's attention, "Not that I don't mind the family reunion, but I assume you have a reason for being here, correct?"

Everyone turned to him as Belgium, Austria, Denmark, and France turned their attention to them. France let out a gasp as Vietnam huffed in annoyance at the sight of him.

"I don't suppose you know how ma famille is doing, do you, petite dame?" France asked in a knowing tone as Vietnam sent him a venomously glare.

Macau quickly stood between them and shook his head at her before turning his attention to France and Monaco who smiled and waved at him.

"Your family is in here though. That is your sister" Macau said with a calculated tone.

"While that is true, I do consider Angleterre a partner of mine. Is he doing well? I know he didn't take it well that I surrendered. He's probably cursing me out as we speak" France asked with a fond expression.

Vietnam only crossed her arms over her chest to then ask, "And what about America, Canada, and Seychelles? They are a part of your family too, aren't they?"

France was surprised to hear of two of those names and even more surprised that Vietnam knew of Seychelles. He then held a soft and relieved expression when he heard those names. The Frenchman knew that his family were here and coming to help them. They had no reason to fear.

"Ah, and here I thought you detested me and everything about my love. You clearly care enough to learn their names and know of their relationship to moi! Though, I am surprised America even mentioned us. He was always a reckless and independent child when Angleterre and I found him and Canada" France commented as he saw Vietnam visibly get angrier, "Never mind that! What is the reason for you visit? You cannot visit long either. I would hate to keep you from anyone else"

Vietnam clutched her hands into fists before sighing and explaining everything to them. Macau helped and informed them of the whereabouts of their friends and family while also adding in the Artifacts of the World.

"I see. Well, you will not have to search hard for that" Austria informed them as he pointed to the door, "The Artifacts are kept inside that vault"

Vietnam turned to the vault in question and sensed something calling her from it. There was no mistake. Something was there, and it was calling her.

"You feel it too, don't you, Vietnam?" Korea asked in a knowing tone as he looked at it from his cell, "A call asking you to come and take whatever is trapped in there. I am sure that is not a coincidence either"

Vietnam nodded her head before running towards the doors with Macau turning in the other direction with his own mission in mind.

"Like, why are you standing there?" Hong Kong asked as he looked up at his brother.

Macau looked at the door and what was between it. He smirked with a knowing expression before stepping to the right side of the door. He pressed his hand on a loose piece of stone on the side and revealed the series of tunnels!

"Finding the right answer" Macau answered with a knowing grin as Hong Kong rolled his eyes.

With that, Macau ran through the tunnels to search for China's body to reunite it with China's heart, mind, and soul.

"Ah, it is wonderful to see friends here again!" Russia greeted with Switzerland standing at attention.

The duo was currently standing in the throne room before Prince Japan, Feliciana, Germany, and Netherlands. Prince Japan was sitting on his throne with a cold expression as his friends remained at his side.

"Regardless of their situation, they are loyal to him" Switzerland whispered to Russia.

Russia nodded his head with a delighted whisper, "It is wonderful to see, but tragic that we must defeat them. I do love friendships. I hope to have mine remain forever and ever!"

Switzerland shivered before remaining still as Prince Japan rose from his throne and approached them. Finland remained behind them and recalled Denmark's words of not doing anything, even if he believed he should do something. Next to him was a tense Czechia who looked ready to snap at any given moment. Finland had a feeling he should watch out for her.

"I have received word that you were able to capture a few people. That is wonderful news, but you did fail to locate the twins of North America" Prince Japan said in a serious tone with a glare to match.

Russia bowed his head before answering, "I do apologize. We were close to finding the twins, but we ran into some trouble. I could only capture what I could. I do hope you have the understanding, friend"

Prince Japan still felt a chill from the Russian duke before composing himself. As for the Darkness, it sensed the tremendous power and cold coming from the duke and wondered if he could use that for himself. That kind of power should be in its hands if it can help it.

"I suppose I shall let this one go for now, but we have other matters to attend to" the prince declared with a nod of his head, "With the current Artifacts in our possession, we will dispose of them first"

This news startled everyone, but Switzerland, Finland, and Czechia noticed a strong, cold breeze forming around Russia. It seemed he was the most against this.

"May I ask something, Prince Japan?" Russia asked as he did his best to keep a steady voice and cold at bay, "Why do you wish for needless destruction? Suffering of others? And to drive everyone you've loved away? Not just you actually, but everyone else here"

This made Switzerland very worried. Russia's powers were undeniably powerful. He witnessed how harsh and destructive the winter winds he conjured were. Switzerland didn't doubt that Russia could put up a decent fight against them! What worried him was their ability to carry out the plan!

"Ah!" Czehia shouted as she gained the attention of everyone in the throne room, "We should take a break, right?! We are still waiting for the guests to arrive as well?! We shouldn't have these discussions until they arrive, correct?!"

Finland hoped she wouldn't break right here and now. Especially since he had a feeling there was more to Russia's plans than he would like to confess... Wait a second! The dungeon!

"N-norway! I need to reach Denmark right now!" Finland urged strongly with Norway surprised by his mannerism.

"Very well, Finland. I will reach my brother" Norway spoke as she, Sweden, Iceland, and Greenland were leaving their vessel, "Denmark, can you hear me? Finland needs to reach out to you. Something has come up"

"Eh? Why does Fin need to talk to me now?" Denmark asked as he kept his eyes on the princess and the treasure vault.

"I am unsure, but our minds should be linked. Finland speak your mind. What is troubling you?" Norway asked in a calm manner until she noticed that they were not the only group heading towards the palace.

Using her powers, she shared her sight with Denmark and Finland to have them see the approaching Belarus, Ukraine, and Liechtenstein.

"I am sure that the group Russia has with him is planning something!" Finland expressed urgently, "What are they doing right now? How long do we have to keep the prince and his group busy for?"

Denmark stood up before answering in a firm manner that made everyone turn their attention to him, "Right now, Vietnam is trying to get the Artifacts of the World while Macau is running through the tunnels looking for something, but he didn't tell us what. I would keep them busy for as long as you can. Especially since your company is approaching sooner than later"

Everyone turned to Denmark and were a little concerned with who he was talking to me. He waved his hand to them before snapping his fingers when his eyes fell on France.

"Hang on! Doesn't England have the Lightning Tome of Europa?!" Denmark exclaimed as he pointed to France.

"Qué? Well, his magic is lightning, yes, but that is a fable, non?" France asked, surprised by this information despite everything happening around him and the adventures he and England went on.

"Hey! Norge! Do you think England can do what you do as well?!" Denmark shouted as everyone stared at him is disbelief.

This made Norway stop in her tracks before answering, "Assuming he is in possession of one of the Tomes of Europa, he should be able to do something like this. Why do you ask?"

"I think I have a plan! Regardless, we need to tell the plan to the others!" Denmark shouted in delight as he went to work thinking about a plan, "Because I believe this won't be last time you will be here! Ok, so I think we need to get England to establish contact with France! That way we can reach each other!"

"For once, you have a good idea" Norway said in a delighted tone as she, Sweden, Iceland, and Greenland entered the palace with Belarus, Ukraine, and Liechtenstein following them, "I believe that will be best. What are the others doing now?"

Norway arrived in the throne room to answer, "It appears Russia is getting angry. Oh, that'll be interesting I suppose. His older brother and little sister are delighted to see him, and Liechtenstein is approaching her older brother"

Prince Japan observed his allies and nodded to himself. The Darkness would finally be able to destroy the Artifacts of the World and prevent this battle from continuing any further. It will finally win and allow this darkness to reign over this world.

"Now that we are present, I want us to destroy the remaining Artifacts of the World" the prince ordered as everyone was surprised and stunned to hear this as well as horrified.

Destroying the Artifacts of the World would cause a great calamity upon the world, or so say the tales they were told as children by their parents and guardians or stories they read themselves. They were never sure what would befall the world if the Artifacts were to be destroyed, but they did not want to find out what that would be.

"Are you sure you wish to do something like that so soon?" Ukraine spoke in a calm manner, "We've heard of those stories. If we do anything reckless, it would bring some kind of calamity to the world. Are you willing to risk that, Prince Japan?"

The prince didn't want to destroy it. He wished he could study such Artifacts that China, Tibet, Mongolia, and India procured in their travels and trades. However, with the Darkness taking full hold of him, he had no choice but to surrender.

"Hai" the prince answered firmly, "We do not have all the Artifacts of the World, but we cannot risk it being in the hands of others. Not to mention we will still have others to find as well. No, I will not risk losing these items now when I have it here. I believe it should be destroyed now"

Germany and Feliciana were worried for their friend as everyone shared an expression of concern. Norway's eyes were wide as she and Denmark were sharing their visions and knew that Vietnam had to get the items out of the palace before they return.

Denmark grabbed the bars and shouted urgently, "Hey! Princess! Hurry up! We need those Artifacts to get out of here! They're coming to destroy it!"

Everyone turned to the Danish with a surprised expression as France shouted, "Be quiet! They can hear you! We can't give her away!"

Denmark shouted back, "We can't have those items be destroyed! The prince wants to destroy it along with the others! Unless you want to deal with consequences of that, let me know!"

That seemed to alarm everyone, but Denmark's gaze didn't leave France.

The Danish pointed at him before speaking with Norway, "And that's France! We need you to link his mind to England's somehow! Can you do that?!"

"I can't do that. England will have to do that" Norway answered before looking at Switzerland and Russia, "I do have an idea of how to get the word out at least. Keep helping the princess and get those items out of there before we arrive"

"Forståte!" Denmark replied before he continued to yell for help.

Lithuania and Egypt turned to the dungeons with Turkey laughing and shaking his head.

"They're trying to riot, I bet" Turkey answered before walking towards the cells, "Better keep them quiet unless they want to deal with the prince and the darkness"

He unlocked the doors and could see most of them shouting and yelling until Poland let out a loud yell when she saw Lithuania standing there.

"Poland! You're ok!" the Lithuanian soldier said in relief before rushing to the cell to kneel before her, "You're not hurt too badly, are you?"

Greece and Cyprus were stunned to see Turkey with Egypt again as both approached the cells. Thailand turned his attention to the vault and ran to help Vietnam with finding the Artifacts of the World. Slovakia glanced nervously to the staircase with Croatia simply nodding his head.

"Don't worry. Nothing is going to happen to them. I am sure of it" Croatia reassured him, "But if you are worried, make sure you stay near her. I don't think you want her in danger, right? You can like act you don't care when you truly do"

Slovakia let out a breath and grinned in relief as both remained standing guard near the entrance to the dungeons. As for the group inside, Lithuania and Egypt were delighted to be reunited with those they cared about, but Greece noticed that they were not being freed.

"So, why are we still here in a cage? Are you not going to free us yet?" Greece asked seriously, "I want to get back at Feliciana for putting me in here"

Turkey shook his head to answer, "And that's why you're still in here. You're going to ruin the mission if you were to be let out. Right now, we are doing everything we can to make sure that darkness doesn't get another win. You would make it have one"

Greece hissed, but he knew Turkey was correct. Right now, he was furious, and that anger could cloud his judgement on the matter. He would have to wait to fight Feliciana and get back at her for winning that fight.

"I found it!" Vietnam's voice echoed around them, "Hurry!"

Lithuania and Egypt ran to the sound of her voice and entered the vault. It was truly a treasure vault for it stored beautiful, shiny golden coins with priceless jewels and treasures from every corner of the world. The room itself seemed to light up due to the amount of light reflecting off the coins. In the center of the piles of golden coins was Vietnam and Thailand who were checking on the Artifacts of the World.

"Is that it?" Lithuania asked as he ran to them.

On the floor was an axe and shield that appeared to be rusty and beaten up. Vietnam wondered if these were the Artifacts of the World as she reached to pick up the axe. She found it to be much heavier than she thought! Lithuania took the axe and actually struggled a bit to raise the weapon himself!

"I think Latvia will have to make some adjustments to it, but there's no doubt about it. I am sure that this is the Oceanic Axe" Lithuania commented as he gripped the axe tightly in his hands.

Egypt kneeled before the shield and didn't tear his eyes off it. He was sure that this was the Shield of Afri that was stolen by a couple of pirates along with the lady they chose to wield it. This made Egypt beyond happy to see again and in one piece!

"We have the Artifacts" Thailand said in a deathly serious tone, "We need to get it out of here. I believe the only want that to work is for us to use the tunnels. Lithuania, please carry the axe. Egypt, can you carry the shield? Follow Vietnam"

Both were ready, but they heard footsteps approaching! They didn't have time to wait anymore! However, Vietnam realized something. If all of them were to leave, that would be suspicious for their foe. Someone would have to stay behind and be a prisoner for their plans to work.

"Thailand" she said in a serious tone, "Take them and go"

He was stunned with everyone looking at her. She didn't flinch. She remained calm and serious despite what she was asking them.

"But won't your friends and family be worried about, Princess Vietnam?" Lithuania asked in a hesitant manner before recalling America's encouragement to her, "And what about him? I do not think he would be happy to know if you could've left but did not"

She shook her head before answering firmly, "Unlike him, I will not hesitate to lose. I may not enjoy it, but if it brings us one step closer to victory, then I will do it. If he even gets angry, I am sure his twin will handle him along with Mexico, Cuba, and Ecuador"

"Petite dame" France spoke in a knowing tone, "If Amerique cares about you, you will not harm him with that care, oui?"

She didn't forget that France had a hand in caring for America, but she didn't forget his stupid tutoring lessons when they first met. However, she saw how France had a caring light in his eyes for America, as if the North American was his own son in a sense. He didn't want to see America in pain is all.

"He'll be fine and safe. That's all that matters as we plan everything out and make sure he has plenty of reasons to help us" Vietnam answered in a firm tone before adding in an understanding manner, "And he'll have a reason to be a hero in the end"

She turned away from France and focused on Lithuania, Egypt, and Thailand. All three were not going to argue with her as she made up her mind and was determined to keep it. Thailand turned to Lithuania and Egypt with a nod all three shared before following the Thai soldier who led them through the tunnels to escape and find Macau.

France held a small smile as he looked at Vietnam. He was grateful that he his teachings didn't influence that much and to see a softer side of her. Although one day he hoped they could get along, he was pleased to know that she was on their side and willing to work with them.

"But princess! What are you going to do now?" Belgium asked curiously and with some worry.

Vietnam turned to Turkey and Slovakia before she took a fighting stance. Turkey only laughed at her answer with Slovakia unsure of what was about to happen.

"Wait, what is she doing now?" Slovakia asked in a confused manner as he looked at Turkey and then at the princess, "Does she want us to get her something? I don't think we can simply give the princess her old room"

As Slovakia turned to the princess, she delivered a strong punch to his stomach as he cried out in pain and hugged it before falling to his sides. Turkey laughed before giving the princess a satisfied grin as he held his hands out to her.

"Not bad, prenses! Not bad! Alright, I will be gentle, promise! But please don't be upset if we have to be a little rough to convience them! Though, not as rough as you were Slovakaya!" Turkey said with a chuckle as Vietnam let him take her hands and tie both up.

Prince Japan marched to the basement with his company and heard Slovakia's painful cries. Czechia was the most concerned as she ran pass the prince with Feliciana and Hungary following her. Prince Japan, Germany, and Netherlands followed them and arrived to see Turkey restraining the princess and opening a cell. He pushed the princess in before locking it as Croatia helped Slovakia with his injured stomach.

"She's a fighter, but now, she's under control!" Turkey reassured them with a shake of his head, "Nothing to worry about"

Prince Japan was stunned to see the normally resistant Vietnam locked behind a cage with the rest of them, but he remained silent. He shook his head made his way to the vault to find the Artifacts of the World.

"Come now" the prince ordered, "We must destroy the Artifacts of the World. I will not have my plans be dashed by them anymore"

He opened the door and was ready to take the Artifacts only to freeze in place. Germany and Feliciana shared a knowing look before rushing to their friend. Feliciana held a hand over her mouth with Germany tense for the Artifacts of the World were no longer present in the vault!

"Where did it go?!" Germany snapped as he turned and marched up to Turkey, "Where did it go?!"

"Hey! I don't know either! We were here the whole time! I don't know where it could've gone!" Turkey defended as Croatia and Czechia pulled the injured Slovakia away.

Feliciana's eyes were wide when her gaze fell on Vietnam. Vietnam looked up at her and only nodded her head. Feliciana acted fast and shut the doors to the vault as Germany turned his attention to her.

"What are you doing?" he demanded until they heard a loud, frustrated yell rip throughout the area!

Inside the vault, the prince was hugging himself in pain as the darkness violently whipped at everything around him. It wasn't the prince that was frustrated, but the darkness. It was so close to destroying her precious Artifacts only for it to somehow disappear. How could that have happened?! What is the reason for this!? It didn't make any sense to the darkness at all!

"Well, I believe I should be leaving now! It was wonderful to see you all again!" Russia said in a jovial tone despite the situation, "I do hope we can be friends very soon! Please look after my family until I return!"

"Why are you leaving?!" Czechia demanded in disbelief as Slovakia groaned with realization.

"You planned this, didn't you?" Slovakia asked in a knowing tone with Czechia surprised by his statement, "Think about it. He did come back and had prisoners. I think he was playing us for fools which some of us are. Counting myself with that as well"

Czechia was stunned as she looked at Russia who only smiled at his little sister and older brother with no cold winds blowing at all. Switzerland had marched right up to Austria's cell with Liechtenstein at his side. Switzerland lectured Austria on his faults for not doing more while his brother only rolled his eyes.

"If you are done with the lectures then I suggest you leave" Austria answered firmly, "When he is done with his temper tantrum, he'll come after you next. Get going"

Austria's eyes then fell on his wife who was hesitant to even approach him. He held a soft expression to her as he nodded his head. Switzerland rolled his eyes at them before standing up and nodding to Liechtenstein.

"Whatever" Switzerland shook his head as he stood up and nodded his head at Liechtenstein, "You will be ok? I won't be back for a while. I have a few things to take care of. After that, we are all going home. I mean it! Germany, you too!"

Germany was stunned as the defiant Switzerland who held himself high at his claim. Germany felt an odd sense of relief and turned to Austria and Hungary who were both sharing understanding expressions to each other.

"Do not worry!" Liechtenstein said in a strong voice, "I will look after Germany as much as I can until we are reunited. After that, we will go home together!"

It seemed everyone shared her vow as well before Russia walked right pass them with his hands out. Ice, snow, and wind formed around his hands as he grinned in a cold manner.

"Ah, but first, a parting gift" Russia said in a joyful manner, "I do not think any of you want to deal with him and the darkness without a letting bit of wearing down, da? So, let me help with that!"

His hands unleashed a powerful, cold wind that froze the vault's door! The wind whipped and helped freezing the ice as the snow piled up against it. Satisfied with his work, Russia lowered his hands and turned to face his family.

"You can handle this without me?" he asked in a hopeful ton before turning to the Nordic Crew, "I will trust that you will keep them safe as I make good on my word with them! We will be back!"

Despite how dire the situation was, Russia was cheerful which did somewhat raise the moral of the group. Sure, it was good to feel that everything was going according to plan, and everyone was ready for this. On the other hand, Russia is a cold, powerful, and strong duke who would crush anyone with his cold, powerful winds, and icy abilities.

He gave Belarus an embrace before nodding to Ukraine to leaving the dungeons with Switzerland following him. The rest of the group decided that it would be best to leave as well. The only ones who remained behind are Germany and Feliciana who waited until the door was melted and the darkness to stop for them to help their dear friend.

"Come on, come on!" Macau whispered urgently as he ran through the tunnels and towards Korea's room.

He pushed open a few walls to check the rooms he found. When he didn't find the room, he would return to the tunnels and continue his search. He wished he had his map of the tunnels, but he continued onward as he pushed another stone to finally find Korea's room!

"At least it is neat and kept intact" Macau commented in relief as he adjusted his glasses and examined the room, "Now, where are you, my brother?"

As he searched the room, Macau's eyes fell on the bed as he moved it to search for anything out of the ordinary. Snapping his fingers, Macau moved the bed to reveal the hidden passageway that Korea had sealed. By unsealing the passageway, China's body fell into Macau's form!

"My goodness! His body really doesn't have his mind, heart, and soul at all! Regardless, that is something interesting to know!" Macau said as he adjusted the body against him, "Very well, no time to waste. I must reach the others and get out of the castle"

He readjusted himself and headed for the passageway with his older brother securely on his back. Macau ran as fast as he could, through the dark, cold passageway to find a way out and reunite with the others.

"Macau! Where are you?!" Thailand called out in the distance on his side of the tunnels to reach for him.

The prince ran towards the voice and found Thailand with their friends! He was relieved to see them again, but he noticed Vietnam was not present.

"Ah, I see" Macau said in an understanding tone, "She gave herself up in order for us to make it out of here. We should go now before they discovered what we are doing. Thailand, lead us out of here"

Thailand took point and ran on ahead with the rest following him. Together, they made their way through the tunnels and towards the entrance of the palace. They were able to reach outside of the world and ran to the other end to give themselves some distance between them and the castle.

"What should we do?" Egypt asked as he held the shield close to himself.

"Unfortunately, we must wait for Russia and Switzerland" Lithuania answered as he held the Oceanic Axe, "From there, we make our way back to the others. Regardless of what she did, she is the reason we were able to get out of here"

The group agreed and soon felt a chilling breeze blowing from the palace as they turned to see Russia and Switzerland walking out of the palace as if nothing was wrong. Switzerland ran to the group when he noticed the two Artifacts of the World in their possession!

"You have it!" Switzerland said in relief before Thailand walked right pass Egypt and swung his krabong right at Egypt!

Egypt raised the shield to protect himself only for Thailand to continue his strikes time and time again! The group was startled by this, but Lithuania reacted first as he dropped the Oceanic Axe and swung his own sword against Thailand's krabong!

"What are you doing?! I thought we were on the same side!" Lithuania snapped as he continued to counter the strikes and find an opening.

Thailand smirked as he continued to strike back and nearly hit Lithuania's shoulder! Switzerland loaded a pistol, but Russia stopped him and turned his attention to Macau and Egypt.

"I know the way back" the duke answered in a rare serious tone, "Take the others and go. I'll be there soon. I know what the knight is attempting to do next"

Switzerland glared at the duke, but he did notice how serious the duke was. Groaning, he nodded his head and motioned with it to have Egypt and Macau follow him out of the palace. Russia turned his attention to the two fighters and gathered the wind and ice to his hand before throwing a small gust of wind and ice between them to cease their fighting! Thailand shivered from the ice as Lithuania took his chance and charged towards the knight. He swung the blade to strike Thailand's arm!

"Yarh!" Thailand exclaimed as he held his injured arm and fell.

Lithuania only held the sword at Thailand's face with a demanding expression. He wanted answers for this, but Russia was the one who stood between them with a knowing expression.

"You wanted to gain their trust, didn't you?" Russia spoke with understanding in his voice, "Be a part of them, of their group?"

This stunned the Lithuania trader who turned to Thailand who only nodded.

"Can't exactly leave my friends there. If I can keep watch over them, that would be enough for me" Thailand answered in a wise tone, "But I am sure you would do the same thing as well. So, what are you waiting for? Go! I will make sure they're safe until we meet again"

Satisfied and at peace with his idea, Thailand sat down and waited for help while holding his injured arm. Lithuania was the only one who wasn't satisfied with this, but Russia was the one who stopped him from doing anything reckless.

"I know you don't want to be my friend" Russia answered in a sadden tone, "But we must do what we can to ensure that he and Vietnam was not for nothing. Come, we can't afford to waste more time"

Lithuania was frustrated by everything, but he knew Russia was right. The Lithuania trader didn't know what frustrated him more, Thailand's idea or Russia being right. Unfortunately, he knew that he could not stand here anymore. He picked up the Oceanic Axe and ran forward, not looking back and going forward.

Russia was relieved Lithuania listened to him and gave Thailand one more look, "Are you sure you will be ok? You will look after everyone and yourself fine?"

Thailand only smiled with a determined and tough glint in his eyes, "Yes, I will be fine ~ ana. Nothing to fear for I know I have friends here and coming to do what is right. Waiting is a patience that Buddha would want me to use"

Simply nodding his head, Russia left. He hid his emotions on the surface, but internally, he was just as upset as Lithuania about this. A violent wind and snow blew from him to cover the area. He didn't want to leave anymore. Yes, they were not his friends, but he didn't want to lose anymore. He could only take comfort in their plan was a success.
