You Should Be Running: Part 2

The scene shifted from the kitchen to show the girls cuddling in the room that they started with.

Louella's room.

Lizzie raised an eyebrow at her counterpart cuddling with Hope's twin, "I guess we are close, then."

Bonnie asked in confusion, "Why did you think that you wouldn't be close to her?"

Hope is the one to answer, "Lizzie and I didn't get along in the beginning. So it's confusing as to why my twin is friends with her."

The blonde sniffled onto Louella's chest while Louella only stroked the siphoner's hair and asked, "You wanna talk about it?"

Lizzie lifted her head and waved her hands in the air, "Why are boys such jackasses?"

Klaus raised an eyebrow at the comment but chose to stay quiet to listen to the story of what occurred to the blonde while his daughters were busy fraternizing with a hobbit.

Louella sat up and leaned against the bed and waved her hand to gesture to the blonde to continue speaking.

Bonnie scoffed at the action, "That's a total Klaus Mikaelson move."

Keelin asked, "How do you know?"

"I've had to spend time with him." Bonnie shuddered, ignoring Klaus's squawk of outrage.

"I'll have you now, Bennett, that I am indeed a great company."

The Bennett Witch raised an eyebrow at the silence that followed the statement.

Lizzie sighed and blew her nose into the tissue she was holding in her hand, "I found out his girlfriend died in a car accident with him as a driver. So I offered to show him places where he can release his anger."

The blonde glared at the tissue, "But he thought that I was asking to have sex with him and told me that I'm the type of girl that he's been warned away from."

Lizzie shook her head, "That's not what happened with me. I was offering him to have sex with me to release energy."

"But why?" Nora asks.

"I was a total bitch back then." was the only reply she got.

Hope snorted softly, "Who said you stopped?"

The blonde gaped at the redhead and pinched her in the hip as retaliation for the comment.

Louella narrowed her eyes at the last sentence, eyes slightly hinting gold.

Josie smiled at the action, despite it being terrifying (and kind of a turn-on), "She cares about you."

Lizzie didn't reply, only staring at the screen in shock at the girl turning feral at the thought of someone hurting her.

The distressed blonde missed the action and groaned, "Boy problems are the worst. How do you deal with them?"

Keelin and Freya looked at each other and in unison spoke, "Can't relate," before laughing.

"Lesbian," was all Louella deadpanned to Lizzie as she walked to her closet and rummaged through it, before letting out a triumphant noise as she held up a black dress.

Rebekah practically drooled at the fashion of the future and no one batted an eye at Louella being a lesbian, especially Josie who fist-bumped the air and whispered, "A win for the ladies."

She looked up from the dress and replied deadpan to Lizzie's previous question, "I'd kill the boy."

Klaus nodded his head in agreement, "That is what any normal person should do if they wish to rid themselves of annoying pests such as idiotic boys."

Gia raised an eyebrow and said with dry sarcasm, "Sure. Especially since we are all very normal."

Kol only cackled, rubbing his hands together, "I bet I was the one to show her how to get rid of the body,"

Davina whacked him on the back of his head, hissing, "She is a teenager! Not your apprentice, 'O Wild Fox'!"

Instead of making the blonde siphoner laugh like she hoped her deadpan would do, Lizzie went silent staring at her hands.

Concerned, Louella placed the black dress on the bed before she walked over to Lizzie, and crouched down to place her hands on the siphoner's cheeks, brushing away the tears, "Oh, honey. What's the matter?"

Marcel raised an eyebrow, "A Mikaelson? That is good at comforting people? I must be dead."

Rebekah pinched him in retaliation for that statement.

Swallowing thickly, Lizzie lifts her head to show her blue eyes looking so heartbreakingly sad, "Do you think I'm broken?"

"Oh, baby." That was all Bonnie said before she walked over and gently positioned herself to hug Lizzie who had slid off the couch and was sitting on the floor, trying to hide from the judgmental gazes she could feel from everyone.

Lizzie sniffled as she nuzzled into her Aunt Bonnie's warm hug, "It was a long time ago, I didn't-"

Bonnie shushed her niece before she let herself out of the hug to wipe away the tears on Lizzie's face, "You are not broken, honey. And I never want you to think that. Do you honestly think that you're the devil incarnate because you have freakouts and your emotions are constantly changing?"

At her silence, Bonnie placed her fingers on Lizzie's chin to lift her niece's head so she can look at her, "Honey, I've met the Devil in at least five different forms. And one of them was the actual devil."

Lizzie chuckled at the face her Aunt made at her last sentence making Bonnie smile, "I'm not ready for all of these people to know about me being, you know."

Bonnie nodded her head in understanding, "If they even try to push it, I'll light their ass on fire. And if you don't believe me, ask your Uncle Stefan what I did to Kol Mikaelson in the Summer of 2011."

After that, Lizzie went back to sit on her seat next to Hope who offered the blonde siphoner her pinky.

"We're in this to the bitter end, right Lizzie?" Hope said as she offered the blonde siphoner her pinky.

Lizzie smiled at the offer and linked her pinky with Hope's, "Till the bitter end, Hope."

Bonnie sighed as she sat next to Stefan, "Care is going to be so gutted once she finds out one of her girls thinks they're a monster."

Stefan only smiles at Bonnie when he squeezes her shoulder reassuringly, "Well it's a good thing the girls have you and me as their cool Aunt and Uncle,"

"Of course not," Louella instantly denied, looking seriously offended and appalled by the question as she placed a hand on the blonde's shoulder to calm her down.

"Lizzie, I don't think you're broken. I think that have the bad luck of dealing with the legacy of darkness that your bio mom's coven had left you."

Louella shrugged, "And do I seem like the kind of person to be in any person to judge you considering my family?"

Hayley and Klaus's brows furrowed in worry at hearing the bitter tone that Louella had used when referring to her family.

Lizzie sighed, her head falling on Louella's shoulder causing the girl to huff in amusement.

"Why do we have such fucked up legacies to fill in?" Lizzie whined as she tried to find a comfortable position on Louella's shoulder.

Louella shrugged with the shoulder that didn't have Lizzie's face on it, "Well, Hamilton was the one to say that legacy is planting seeds in a garden you never get to see."

Klaus had never been the one to find the art in poetry or famous literature pieces like Elijah does but hearing those words resonated deeply within him.

Elijah only smiled smugly at Kol, "Well, it's lovely to know that Louella had taken up reading my book collection."

Kol squawked, "I will have you know that both of the girls will love to be with me and my spell books,"

Lizzie lifted her head from Louella's shoulder to show her confused face, "What does that even mean?"

Louella looked as if she was contemplating it but she just smiled saying, "I don't even know. I just thought the moment called for it," making both of the girls collapse into a fit of giggles.

Hayley sighed in relief, "Not that I'm not happy with how protective she is with Hope. I'm just happy she knows how to be a teenager and have fun as well."

The redhead was the first to stop laughing, "Come on, Liz. Do you know how hard it is to find something cute that can accommodate a weapon?"

Klaus shrugged at the glare Hayley sent his way, "At least when my girls are having fun, they are also armed in case of danger."

The scene then shifts to show the majority of the school population at the Old Mill having a party.

Marcel let out a laugh, "Supernatural or not, teenagers will be teenagers."

Louella is shown to be holding a drink in her hand as she kept a lookout for any danger.

Rebekah only sighed pitifully, "Whatever attack that had been placed on our family, must have harmed Louella deeply."

The redhead's eyes narrowed when she saw Josie and Penelope have a staring contest.

Jade smiled as she nudged the brunette's arm, "Look like she's protective over you as well, Josie."

Louella's head tilted as she stared at the scene that had occurred in the next few moments - Rafael had approached Josie.

Sighing, she downed her drink in one go and placed it on the table before walking towards Josie and Rafael who were now sitting together on a log.

"How wonderful," Freya drawled bitterly, "Our alcoholic tendencies have rubbed off on one of the twins,"

Louella had caught the pair in the middle of a heartfelt conversation since Josie sighed tiredly and shrugged, "I care too much. It's kind of a problem."

Elijah only mused silently as he took in the information about the twins that Louella and Hope have befriended.

Elizabeth and Josette.

Darkness and Light.

Cares too little and Cares too much.

He needed to see if they had harmed Hope in the past or if they will harm her in the future to decide what to do with them.

Before Rafael could speak and Louella could interrupt him, a shout came from the woods causing the party to come to a halt and freeze, including Louella whose werewolf features became more pronounced as she tried to hear what the threat was.

"Landon?" She muttered, confused about how the boy got out of the cellar before looking at a guilty-looking Josie who chuckled nervously when Louella pinned her with her glare.

"I am so dead," Josie moaned as she buried her head in her hands.

"We will be having words later, Josette Saltzman."

Lizzie winced, "Ooh, full name. You're dead." causing Josie to whimper and try and hide on the sofa as if to escape from her alternate self's pending doom.

Louella turned to the rest of the party who were waiting for her to speak, "There is no threat. It's just a human who tripped over a branch."

No sooner after Louella had announced there was no threat, the teenagers all seemed to let out a collective sigh of relief before resuming their party.

"They trust her?" Marcel asked.

"Why wouldn't they trust her?" Hope asked, confused about where Marcel was going with this, "She's an alpha to the packs at the school so it automatically makes her the leader when the principal is not in close contact."

"Marcel is only shocked darling since us Mikaelsons don't garner trust from other supernatural creatures," Rebekah replied sweetly as she dug her elbow into Marcel's stomach.

Louella turned to walk in the direction the shout had come from when Rafael grabbed her arm, stopping her from moving.

"Get. Your. Hands. Off. My. Niece." Kol was the one to grit out as a surge of protectiveness washed over him at seeing his niece be grabbed.

Rafael flinched when a growl came from Louella who was glaring at him with her werewolf eyes before sneering at his hand still grabbing her arm, "I'll allow this action, this once. But the next time you grab me, I'm going to rip your arm off and beat you with it. Understand?"

Klaus grinned darkly, very impressed with his little girl's threats.

The new werewolf didn't back down once he had let go of her arm but instead growled back at Louella, "I'm sorry for grabbing you like that. But Landon is in danger and I'm not letting you go save him without me."

"Let her?" Gia repeated dangerously as she looked at the werewolf with new eyes.

"Let me?" Louella repeated dangerously as her gold eyes were slowly becoming darker.

Keelin laughed at the shocked look on Gia's face at being repeated.

Whatever Rafael was going to say was cut off by Landon's yelp -that could be heard only by those with supernatural hearing- and Louella was off running.

"Woah!" Josie exclaimed as she turned to face Jade excitedly, "Did you see that speed?!"

Jade only looked at the screen and the Mikaelson family apprehensively, "I'm seeing. I'm just not believing yet."

The scene shifts to show Landon running from a wolf snarling at him and Landon running away from it.

Klaus laughs with pride, "That's my littlest wolf!" causing Hope to smile in embarrassment when Lizzie mouthed the nickname back at her.

Hayley couldn't stop smiling as she looked at her daughter, "Your wolf is so beautiful honey."

Nora Hildegard only looked at the human on the large screen in disappointment, "Is he not aware of how wolves can smell fear?"

The wolf - Hope- leaped in the air and jumped on Landon's back taking off his jacket with her claws.

By the time the she-wolf landed on her feet, she had reverted to her human form and was snarling at Landon the same way her wolf had done before, "Are you crazy?! I almost killed you!"

"Damn," Lizzie whistled lowly, "You must hate having your wolf time being disrupted."

Hope nodded in agreement, "Especially by tall blondes who don't stop talking,"

Lizzie only smirked at the redhead, "So you admit that you're short?"

Landon's only reply was stuttery as he turned red trying not to stare at a half-naked Hope, "Um. I. I guess this means you're a werewolf?"

"Is that a question or a statement, Landon?" Louella asked as she appeared out of the trees making Landon jump from his place and clutch his heart as if experiencing a heart attack.

"Relax Papa Wolf," Lizzie said as she saw Klaus Mikaelson growling at the screen, "You'll be seeing very soon who Landon is to Hope."

Hope glared at the blonde who was unphased especially since Klaus Mikaelson glared at her as well saying, "Sooner better come now."

Before Landon could stutter out another response, a panting Rafael came from the tress and called out his name, "Landon! Oh, you're ok!" before grabbing Landon into a hug.

Klaus, while admittedly had been moved by the brotherly notion, wasn't moved enough to forget how the teenager had leered at his daughter in her state of undress.

While the brothers had been reuniting, Louella had taken off the dress she was wearing and handed it to Hope to wear before scoffing at hearing Rafael's last statement, "I'll have you know that my sister has excellent control when she's in her wolf form."

Rebekah only looked at the scene with furrowed eyebrows as she muttered to herself, "Louella had given Hope the dress straight off of her own back."

Rafael went to speak but stopped once he saw Louella was in nothing but a vest and jeans.

"She has no sexual attraction towards the opposite gender, so do move on Rafael," Elijah said as he watched the werewolf boy with narrowed eyes.

Louella raised an eyebrow at him, "Does it help you speak to me if I tell you that I'm a lesbian?"

Keelin only cackled, using that line so many times on her male colleagues at work.

Rafael spluttered for a few moments giving Hope enough time to walk in front of Louella and say, "Why don't I show you guys a cool place before Landon gets his memories taken from him?"

"Hope," Kol said in an almost admonishing tone, "My darling niece, you shouldn't need to force yourself to hang around with the riff-raff."

"Riff-raff?" Hayley growled as she pinned Kol with her icy glare.

Louella sighed tiredly once she realized she wasn't going to stop Hope so all she did was a gesture for the boys to follow her after she began to walk forward.

The scene then shifts to show the group of four walking through the halls of the Salvatore Boarding School.

Stefan's heart swelled with joy at the thought of his house being used as a safe place for supernatural kids to be themselves.

"What's this room?" Landon asked once he saw how big the room was.

Louella's shoulders straightened before she walked through the threshold of the room, answering Landon, "This room is the Stefan Salvatore Memorial Library."

Everyone in the room froze.

"No," a choked whisper came from a pale Valerie.

Stefan instantly went to comfort his partner but Valerie wasn't having it, "Why are you not at all worried about your future death?!"

"Because of his damned hero hair," Bonnie said morosely as she shook her head, trying to clear away the tense atmosphere that had built up.

Kol, seeing what she was trying to do, also joined in, "You must shave off Stefan's hair, Valerie, I believe it is, for his hair is influencing him to do such sacrificial actions."

Stefan gasped in horror, "Not my hair!"

Nora, not understanding the game that Bonnie and Kol had started, pointed at Stefan, "Look! The influence of the hair is threatened over the thought of it being shaved off!"

The teenage girls (Josie, Jade, Lizzie, and Hope) couldn't stop laughing.

Landon froze, "Should we not go in here?"

Louella snorted, picking up a book, "All students are allowed to go in here," She paused putting the book down to smirk at her sister, "Except for Hope, of course."

Hayley's eyes narrowed as she turned to her daughter, "Hope. What did you do?"

Rafael seemed impressed by this and asked, "What did you do?"

Hope sheepishly answered, "I might have almost burnt down the library."

"You did what?!" Came from Hayley.

Seeing as Hope wasn't going to answer, Louella said, "She almost burnt down the entire library."

"But why?" Rafael asked, not seeing the reason for burning down the library.

"Why did you do that, Honey?" Hayley asked calmly, trying to find a reason why her daughter would do that.

Louella made a noise of triumphant as she picked up a book from a shelf and carried it to the table where Hope and Landon were.

Her action had also caused Radaelf, who had been leaning against the wall previously, to walk over to the table and read the title of the book aloud, "Klaus Mikaelson: The Great Evil."

Klaus froze, millions of thoughts running through his head.

Why would his book make Hope-

Oh.

Oh.

Rafael shook his head, "I still don't get it. What does this book have to do with Hope almost setting the library on fire?"

Instead of Louella responding, Hope answered quietly, "Because Klaus Mikaelson was mine and Louella's father."

Elijah gripped Niklaus's hands in a tight grip, to reassure himself that his brother was alive and with him in the present.

"Was?" Landon asked gently, as he placed his hands to his side, unsure of how to comfort Hope.

"Was." Hope nodded, confirming that she didn't make a mistake before letting out a bitter smile, "Turns out even immortal beings can find a way to die eventually,"

"Nik," Rebekah lets out a teary gasp as she races to hug her brother because, despite everything, he's still her older brother.

Kol was stuck in his seat, stunned.

He always believed that out of all of them, it would be Niklaus that would be the last Mikaelson standing.

"We have no grandparents either, "Louella cut in, seeing that Rafael and Landon wanted more answers, "Our grandparents from our father's side of the family saw Hope and me as nothing more than abominations that had to be exterminated from existence."

Louella turned opened the book and flipped to a random page that just so happened to be marked, 'Andrea Labanoir: The Crescent Queen'.

Hayley let out a wet laugh, "You put me in your special autobiography?"

Klaus looked offended at the question, "Of course, love. You do, after all, hold a special place in my heart."

"And our mother was the Alpha to a pack that holds the original bloodline of the first werewolves to be created. More specifically," Louella turned the book around to show the page she was on, "The Labanoir Pack, also known as the pack that was the direct descendants to the witch that created the werewolf curse."

"Wait, what?" Bonnie asked, thrown off by the information.

Kol laughed, "You've missed out on a hell of an adventure my siblings and myself have had in New Orleans, Bonnie darling."

Landon looked shocked by the information that he had just received, "Wait. Does that mean that you two are werewolf royalty?"

Klaus was very offended by this, "My littlest wolves are princesses to New Orleans as their mother and I are Queen and King."

Louella looked to Hope, to find Hope who was already grinning at her, and then simultaneously, they said, "We are werewolf royalty."

Hope nearly squealed with the joy of finally having a twin moment with her sister.

"Should I be bowing, right now?" Landon asked, worried that he was offending some kind of werewolf custom.

Rafael said, "No, dude. You don't have to bow."

Louella raised her eyebrow at Rafael, "On the contrary, it is pack law that it is required for you to bow in front of the Alpha."

Freya turned to Keelin and asked, "Is it pack law?"

Keelin snorted, "Nah. She's just messing with them."

Hope nudged Louella in her ribs when Landon and Rafael bowed toward them.

Klaus nodded in approval, his girls deserved the respect.

Louella nudged Hope back grinning before she tilted her head hearing something that caused her face to drop from joy into concern, "Hope, please don't let them wander around the school. I'll try and come back."

The scene changed to find Louella standing in the kitchen with MG and Penelope in a compromising position with Josie standing in front of them with a heartbroken expression.

"That complete and utter bitch!" Lizzie shouted as she realized what had happened.

"Josie, who is that?" Bonnie asked in a tone that was bordering calm and dangerous since she wanted to know who hurt her niece.

"My ex," Josie said before she winced at the angered expression on her Aunt Bon's face.

"Penelope Park," Lizzie supplied to her Aunt Bonnie, well prepared to go on whatever revenge plan her Aunt was cooking up.

"Penelope," Louella said, announcing her presence in the room.

MG dropped Penelope like she was fire and backed away at seeing the claws that Louella had out, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean-"

"Milton," MG winced at hearing his first name from Louella but bolted after hearing her next words, "I'll be dealing with you tomorrow. Now leave."

"Kick her ass, Louella!" Lizzie cheered.

Louella turned her werewolf gaze to Penelope who was wincing both from the fall and from being on the receiving end of the glare Louella was sporting.

Before Louella could take a step closer, Josie grabbed her wrist and protested, "Don't Astrid. She isn't worth it."

Lizzie booed, "I want a fight."

Kol also agreed with the blonde, "I want to see my niece have a proper scrap with another student."

"Are you sure? I can kill her, here and now, and get rid of the body before the sun rises," Louella didn't take her eyes off of Penelope the entire time she spoke.

Gia raised both her eyebrows in shock at the ruthlessness of the teenager.

Josie shook her head, "I just want to go to my room."

Louella finally took her eyes off Penelope, giving the witch a chance to run, and faced Josie with her normally green eyes, "Let's get you to your room, Liv."

"I'm glad that she's friends with both of you," Hope admitted as she saw how concerned her alternate twin was with the siphoners.

The scene shifts to show Lizzie and Josie and Louella sitting in the siphoner twins' bedroom.

"I saw MG with his tongue down you-know-who," Josie revealed while Lizzie combed her hair.

Davina grinned, loving the Harry Potter reference.

Lizzie makes a face at that, even though Josie couldn't see it, "Gross! He should know better than to make out with the Dark Lord. Bad friend move."

Davina couldn't help herself from cackling.

Kol looked at his girlfriend, offended that she wasn't sharing with him what was so funny.

While the twins continued to talk, Louella left the room and headed to her room.

Once she's inside she sits at her desk and opens her drawer to reveal a picture of her and her mom.

Hayley smiles, happy that she has a good relationship with her daughter.

Louella smiles at the picture before turning it around and taking off the frame to reveal a small key hidden within it.

"YAY! A secret door or compartment is going to be opened." Kol said excitedly.

Knocking on the wood twice reveals a secret drawer popping out with a small keyhole that Louella had the key to.

She opens the drawer to reveal a journal.

Hope looks at the scene with furrowed brows, why would her sister need to hide a journal in a secret drawer?

Louella takes out a pen and the screen shows her beginning "Dear Hope," before the scene shifts to the next day with the title THE NEXT DAY in the corner of the screen.

Hope's confusion only furthered, why is her sister writing a journal to her?

The scene shows the gym and a group of students running around doing laps with Louella in the corner of the room with the younger students.

"Alpha Ella! Alpha Ella!" A little girl - who looked around 8 years old - called out when she sees her Alpha approaching her.

"Why!?" Josie bemoaned to Hope, "Why didn't you become the Alpha?"

"Hi, Rosie. What's up?" Louella asks with a genuine smile as she crouches down to match the girl's height.

"She looks happy with her pack," Hayley realizes.

Then why does she not sound happy when talking about her family? Klaus wanted to ask but he kept quiet.

"I learned how to flick my claws!" Rosie squealed, excited to show her alpha.

Rebekah's heart warmed at the sight of the child.

Before Louella could ask Rosie to show her, the speakers in the gym went off with Dorian Williams's voice, "All students to come to the assembly hall. I repeat, all students to the assembly hall,"

Klaus raised his eyebrow, wondering what was happening now.

Rosie's once cheerful expression turned fearful as she face her alpha again, "Alpha Ella? What's happening?"

Hayley couldn't help but want to protect the girl from all the evil in the world.

Like she couldn't do with her daughter, a traitorous voice hissed in her mind.

"I don't know, honey." was all Louella said before she instantly went into Alpha mode and went to get the attention of her pack, to find that they were already staring at her.

Marcel only looked at the scene thoughtfully, "They look to her like she's their leader."

"She is their leader," Lizzie countered feeling defensive over her alternate friend.

"Gather the younger pack first and don't cause any panic for them, when you take them to the assembly hall." Only when her pack nodded at her and started to walk away did she begin to leave.

Jed was by her side once she had left the gym and asked, "Where are we going?"

"Does Jed not know she's a lesbian?" Lizzie was the one to ask.

Louella spared him a glance, "We are going to get some answers."

Hope pointed out, "Maybe they're co-Alphas of the pack."

The scene shifts to show Louella opening the doors of what looked like the head teacher's office to find Hope speaking, "..And now you're telling me, the one time that I decided to let myself get close to someone again, they turned out to be a liar too."

Hayley only let out a sympathetic noise, "Oh, honey." as she rubbed Hope's shoulder to comfort her daughter.

"Who's a liar and what have they done?" Louella growled out at seeing the distressed state of her sister.

Jade winced, "I would hate to be on the receiving end of that glare."

Josie nodded her head in agreement, "Same,"

Hope looked up at hearing her sister's voice and bitterly stated, "Apparently, Landon is a supernatural creature that can't be compelled and has stolen a 12th-century knife artifact from the library."

Klaus, although saddened by his daughter's heartbroken expression, was internally cheering at her not beginning a relationship with the boy.

Louella turned her glare onto Alaric and demanded, "Did he have any vervain on him? Did you check his blood for any witch properties? What did you do that solidified your belief that Landon Kirby is nothing more than a human?"

Bonnie only raised an eyebrow at Alaric, not impressed by the man's unprepared nature in the future.

Alaric only sighed and said, "We assumed-"

Louella cut him off, "Assumption is the mother of all failures. And now because of your assumption, an unknown supernatural creature is wandering around with the knowledge of our school and the whereabouts of it."

Stefan winced, when Louella put it like that, it made Alaric look careless.

Before Alaric could defend himself, Dorian Williams opened the doors and announced, "The students are all accounted for in the assembly hall, and Rafael Waithe is currently in his dorm room and refusing to listen to the 'lies' you're going to spread about his brother."

"Despite the situation, it is quite lovely to see how protective he is over his brother," Valerie stated as she held onto Stefan's hand.

Alaric sighed, "Thank you, Dorian. I guess I need to go tell the students of our current predicament."

"Current?" Nora asked in concern, "Have there been more predicaments in the past?"

The scene then shifts to show Alaric standing on a podium with a serious expression on his face as he stared into the nervous and curious expressions of his students, "For ten years, we've gone undetected."

As he started his speech, Louella had silently offered her hand to Hope who instantly took it and entwined their hands together.

Hope smiled at the action, happy that she and her sister got along with each other.

"For ten years, the main priority has always been you - the students. Protecting you. Helping you. Supporting you. Hiding you from the mundane world."

Klaus raised an eyebrow, slightly impressed by the speech the ex-hunter has made.

Alaric sighed, placing both hands as if to steady himself from the weight that seemed to hold down his shoulders, "In the morning, Mr. Williams had found a missing artifact from the Stefan Salvatore Memorial Library."

At that statement, there were many protests and a sign of unease was a wave over the students.

Freya looked at the scene intently, "It's a good thing they know that the artifacts in that library are dangerous and that they understand the situation they're in."

Alaric waved his hands, "Settle down now. I'm not blaming any of you. Not when we already have the culprit in mind."

He takes a deep breath and makes eye contact with Louella who nodded, "If anyone here sees Landon Kirby, you are to bring him back here immediately."

Josie furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, why did her dad look to Louella to continue speaking?

The scene then shifts to show different places at once with Hope's voiceover.

Louella was in the library with Lizzie looking through books over what the artifact was.

"Woo," Lizzie sighed in relief, "I'm doing something useful."

Josie and Hope sat on the floor together holding hands as they chanted.

Josie squeaked at the suspicious looks that Klaus and Elijah Mikaelson had sent her way.

Landon is on the bus taking out the knife.

Elijah sniffed, "I was already aware that he was, what the modern youth calls him - a red flag."

Gia couldn't stop cackling.

Rafael is in the library watching Lizzie and Louella with narrowed eyes.

Hayley, surprisingly, was the one to growl, "Brotherly love or not, that does not mean he gets to come after my daughter."

The same bus that Landon was on, was now on fire, and bodies of charred people lay in it.

Davina gasped at the horrible sight and gripped Kol's hand, "But Landon doesn't seem like the kind of person to do that."

Kol shook his head, "He didn't look like a thief either darling, and look where that got them."

Hope's Voiceover: "It's funny how life works. After years of pushing people away, I open myself to Landon Kirby - the human in the wrong place at the right time who just needed a place to belong."

"Years?" Hayley asked Klaus aghast at how alone her daughter must have felt.

Klaus only placed his hand on top of Hayley's, "We are here now. And we will find out what happened to us, little wolf."

Hope's voice became darker, "Turns out, Landon isn't the hero of my story at all. But when I hunt him down, I'm gonna be the villain of his."

Klaus only applauded his daughter's decision to go and hunt the boy down.
