(Y/n) POV:

I sighed and took one last look before I left. The town of Magnolia had changed drastically. However, one thing that will never change is Fairy Tail. The place of many memories. Some happy, others sad.

My heart wished to stay a little longer, but if I did, it would only hurt more. I shouldered my little amount of belongings and turned away. In front of me was a path. Where did it lead to? I didn't know. However, it is one that I will take and never turn back.

'I guess this is it.' I thought to myself, as my tears hit the ground. My legs hesitated to move, but it had to be done. She was happy. That's all that mattered.

"Goodbye, Lucy..." I whispered and began my journey alone.

Meanwhile...

(Lucy POV):

Happy:"Come on you two love birds! We've got to celebrate!" The blue flying cat exclaimed with excitement. I giggled and felt an arm wrap around me.

Natsu:"Quit teasing before I punch your face in!" He joked playfully and was the one to embrace me. Natsu looked at me and smiled. I returned the gesture with equal amounts of love.

Natsu:"So Lucy, excited?" He asked curiously. I nodded and hugged him back.

"Of course! I can't wait to celebrate our engagement with all of our friends!" I replied with joy. The two of us laughed and walked into the guild hall.

There were decorations everywhere for the two of us. Everyone was here, and they all cheered when we arrived.

Gray:"Congrats, you two!" He stated and held up a glass of champaign. Gray was also embracing Juvia, and on his left hand was a ring.

"Thanks, Gray." I replied with a smile. Everyone was in a relationship or getting married like Natsu and I.

We all celebrated mines though, but I believe that it was for everyone. Fairy Tail has grown so much, and I am very happy to be a part of it.

Lisanna:"So Natsu, guess I didn't become your wife then." She teased the pink haired boy. He began to look at me fearfully, but I merely laughed at the joke. Natsu looked upset and pouted.

Natsu:"That wasn't funny." He muttered. I shook my head and kissed him on the cheek.

"Oh Natsu..." I sighed. Then the rest of my friends joined me at my table. We talked, laughed, and had a lot of fun. However, there was something missing.

I looked around and couldn't find what was lacking at this party. My gut told me there was something off, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Then my eyes widened in realization.

"Hey, where's (Y/n)?" I questioned my friends. They all looked around for him, but had no luck either.

Natsu:"Now that you mentioned it, where is he?" My fiancé asked curiously.

Mirajane:"Could it be that he didn't get the invitation?" She proposed. Erza shook her head.

Erza:"Impossible. I personally delivered each invitation. Whether it be by physical contact or through an projection." She said firmly. Jellal nodded tiredly.

Jellal:"She's telling the truth." He confirmed with a wince. I began to grow worried. He was one of my most closest friends, but the guy was nowhere to be found. Suddenly, Wendy pulled something out of her purse.

Wendy:"Oh yeah, (Y/n) told me to give this to you." She told me and handed me an envelope. I looked at it curiously before taking it.

"Did he say anything else?" I questioned. Wendy nodded.

Wendy:"He said to read this after the wedding." She told me. I looked at her in shock.

"But I just got engaged!" I exclaimed in shock. Wendy shrugged in not knowing what to say.

Happy:"Why don't we open it now?" He suggested.

Natsu:"Yeah." He agreed. Then Erza shook her head.

Erza:"I don't know, (Y/n) would want you to open this the time he requested." She pointed out. I was unsure of what to do.

Gray:"What if (Y/n) is in trouble? It's not like him to miss anything that deals with Lucy because he-" He was cut off by Juvia and Erza clamping his mouth shut. I looked at them in confusion, while Gray was suffocating.

"What were you about to say?" I questioned. Erza and Juvia gave me nervous smiles.

Erza:"It's nothing." She said a bit too quickly. Juvia nodded.

Juvia:"Yes, my beloved Gray was just muttering nonsense." She chuckled nervously before releasing Gray. He gasped and coughed for air.

Gray:"Jeez, you two could let off sooner. I got the point." He grumbled. I shook my head and looked at everyone.

"Should I open it?" I asked. Everyone glanced at each other before nodding.

Natsu:"It's up to you. However, (Y/n) may be wanting to say something, but couldn't tell you face to face." He told me, and I sighed. I will open it. After opening the envelope, I pulled out a letter.

Happy:"A letter?" He asked in confusion to receive a slap by Carla.

Carla:"Of course it's a letter. What else will you find in an envelope?" She asked with annoyance. I unfolded the letter and began to read.

As I read, my eyes widened in shock. Everyone asked me what it said, but I couldn't speak. Tears began to flow out of my eyes, and I began to cry. Soon it became a sob, and I had to stop reading. Natsu began to comfort me, while Levy helped read it for me.

Levy:"Are you sure I can read this?" She asked with worry. I nodded and sobbed some more into Natsu's chest.

(Third Person POV):

(Y/n):"Dear Lucy,
Sorry about missing your engagement party. It's just that things couldn't allow me to go. I know that you are wanting to know why, and I will explain everything. Just bear with me here. The reason why I couldn't come was because of you.

Lucy sat in her garden all alone. Dried streaks of old tears ran down her cheeks. However, they were quickly replaced with new ones. The life of being rich had the blonde girl with a selective amount of friends. Most were forced upon Lucy, but she never liked any of them. Luckily, there was on person she thoroughly enjoyed the company of.

(Y/n):"Lucy!" The (h/c) haired boy shouted from across the garden. Lucy looked up to see him, and a shocked look replaced her sad one.

Lucy:"What are you doing here?!" She asked with shock and worry. The boy merely grinned and began running towards the blonde.

(Y/n):"I'm here to play of course!" He answered as if it were obvious. Lucy grew even more surprised. She reached out to speak, but the (s/c) male interrupted her.

(Y/n):"I know what you're going to say. I shouldn't be here because your father might kick me out for playing with you." He stated. Lucy shook her head.

Lucy:"No, I-"

(Y/n):"Even though I may be poor, I still think of you as an equal. I know you feel that way. That's why I won't let that father of yours to stop me!" He shouted with determination and kept running. This was the second time he ignored the girl.

Lucy:"I'm trying to tell you that-"

(Y/n):"I know! This man is a dictator. No worries! I will always protect and cheer you up Lucy! Because that is all that matters-"

Lucy:"(Y/n), look out!!!" She screamed. The boy grew confused before tripping over a stone bench.

Then he fell into a spiky bush before rolling into the dirt. Then his butt hit something sharp, and (Y/n) jumped back up. He tripped again and finally landed in a small pond. The boy groaned in pain.

(Y/n):"Oww..." He moaned in pain. Lucy began to snort, but stifled it. This did not go unnoticed by (Y/n) and he peered over at Lucy. She was trying her hardest to keep her composure. Short snickers and her strained face says it all.

(Y/n):"What are you laughing at?" He questioned in an upset tone. Lucy composed herself and spoke.

Lucy:"Nothing." She feigned innocence. Suddenly, a frog spat water into (Y/n)'s face. Lucy erupted into uncontrollable laughter. (Y/n) pouted at first, but soon joined in the laughter. The two laughed for a solid five minutes before settling down. Their stomachs hurt too much.

Lucy:"I-It hurts." She said and began to get her breathing back to normal. (Y/n) chuckled and nodded in agreement.

(Y/n):"Yeah, but it also was nice." He commented softly. Lucy looked at him curiously.

Lucy:"What's nice?" She asked cluelessly. (Y/n) began to flush red.

(Y/n):"Y-Your laugh." He whispered shyly. Lucy giggled at the sight of her closest friend acting flustered.

Lucy:"Thank you." She replied kindly which made the boy's heart beat abnormally fast. Before he could dwell on the new feeling, Lucy dragged him along to go play in the mansion's garden. A smile was plastered on both of their faces.

I don't mean 'you' as in your fault. It's complicated. The feelings that are going through me right now is very difficult to put onto paper. These emotions, they have overwhelmed me and pushed me past the brink. I cannot take it anymore. It has caused me too much pain, and I don't blame you. I can only blame myself. It is my fault to inform you of these news.

(Y/n):"Y-You're leaving?" He asked with an upset tone. Lucy nodded sadly in response. The rain poured down on the two, as their fateful day of separation has arrived.

Lucy:"I-I'm sorry, but I can't stay here anymore." She tried to reason with the (s/c) boy. Tears fell from the blonde girl's eyes and mixed with the rain. However, the boy remained silent and looked down. His fists were clenched, but his face was hidden. Lucy gave him a pained look.

Lucy:"The last thing I want to do is leave you, but-" She was cut off by a sudden hug. Lucy gasped in shock and her eyes widened. (Y/n) embraced the girl tightly.

(Y/n):"Go. Live your dream. Be free from this prison." He told Lucy sternly. She flinched in shock from hearing the boy say this.

Lucy:"B-But-" He let go and looked at Lucy. She was astonished by what she saw. (Y/n) was smiling.

(Y/n):"I know you want to join Fairy Tail, but you don't want to leave me here. So I have a plan..." He trailed off and reached into his pocket. (Y/n) then pulled out a necklace and placed it into Lucy's palms. She looked at (Y/n) in disbelief and shook her head.

Lucy:"I can't take this! It's-" (Y/n) nodded in knowing what he gave her. He closed Lucy's hands for her and held them.

(Y/n):"I'll be back for it when I join Fairy Tail, too." He proposed the deal to Lucy. Her eyes widened before welling up with tears. Suddenly, she pulled (Y/n) into a tight embrace and cried into his shoulder.

Lucy:"I'll be waiting for you..." She cried in a muffled tone. (Y/n) smiled gently and hugged her back.

(Y/n):"Me too..." He whispered. After that, Lucy let go and began her journey to Fairy Tail. (Y/n) waved her off with a smile. However, when she disappeared from his sight, tears flowed down his cheeks.

(Y/n):"I'll look for you Lucy, I just need to take care of someone before I do." He muttered sadly and began walking back to his home. The thunderstorm only grew worse for what was to come.

I am leaving. Gone. Plain and simple. I will not be of Fairy Tail anymore. Don't try to find me, just live life to the fullest. That's what I want you to do. Before you protest, this is what I want and it's final. No. It's what I need to to.

Time had passed after Lucy's escape. Now the boy opened the door to his home with a box in his hand. Inside the box was what he put the last of his money into. Turns out (Y/n) had been fired from the servant staff for aiding in Lucy's escape.

He walked over to the only bed in his home. Lying on the bed was an older woman with (h/c) hair. Her face was sickly pale, and there was a aged look in her ages. Despite her age of 35, she looked like she was in her sixties.

(Y/n):"Mom? I brought some medicine." He told his mother and opened the box of medicine. The mother began coughing violently before smiling weakly at her son.

(M/n):"(Y/n), why did you use all your money on me?" She questioned the boy in frustration. (Y/n) smiled weakly at his mother and sat down beside her.

(Y/n):"I can't just let you die mom." He replied in a shaky tone. (M/n) smiled lovingly and tried to sit up. (Y/n) instantly rushed to aid her.

(Y/n):"You should rest mom." He told her sternly. (M/n) could only let out a sorrowful tear.

(M/n):"All I want to do is kiss my son goodbye..." She muttered grimly. Her son's eyes widened with terror.

(Y/n):"W-What are you saying mom?" He feared for the worst. His mother weakly pulled herself up before lightly kissing him on the head.

(M/n):"Go find your dream (Y/n). Tell Lucy how you feel..." She uttered before falling limp. (Y/n) caught her before she could fall violently. She lied in his arms motionless, and the (s/c) male could only remain frozen in shock.

(Y/n):"No...not you too...not after Gramma..." He muttered in denial. Finally, he accepted he and his mother's fate.

(Y/n):"I love you, mom...." He uttered and grit his teeth, as his tears pattered on the dirt ground.

To let you know, it's not some stupid reason or any of that. I believe it's an essential one. For your happiness, and my health. I'm not dying incase you're worried about that. It's just what's going on may end up killing me.

A (h/c) haired male stepped into a large guild hall. There was currently a brawl going on. It was the norm, but brought made the young man sweatdrop. He looked different from a while ago.

Gone was the scrawny servant body and replacing it was a tone body. He was dressed in light armor and simple clothes. (Y/n) looked around for who was in charge of this mayhem.

A woman with great bust and white hair past by. She noticed the newcomer looking around curiously and approached him.

Mirajane:"Hi! I'm Mirajane, may I help you?" She asked kindly. (Y/n) nodded and looked at the kind lady.

(Y/n):"I'm looking for a blonde girl named, Lucy. She should have joined Fairy Tail a while ago." He answered. Mirajane smiled at him and nodded.

Mirajane:"Lucky for you, she's here." She replied. The man's eyes lit up with excitement.

(Y/n):"Really?! Where?!" He asked with great anticipation and looked around frantically. Mirajane giggled at his antics. Suddenly, a certain blonde walked by.

Lucy:"I can't believe that this fight was started over someone's bread was slightly crunchier." She told herself and shook her head. (Y/n)'s eyes widened at recognizing who it was.

(Y/n):"Lucy?" He called out in awe. Lucy turned around, and her eyes widened in disbelief.

Lucy:"(Y/n)?" She asked in shock. The entire guild went silent to witness what was happening. Suddenly, (Y/n) and Lucy embraced each other and began to laugh.

Lucy:"You came! You finally came!" She said with joy. (Y/n) smiled with the same amount of happiness and picked Lucy up. She yelped in surprise, as the stronger male twirled her around a bit.

(Y/n):"I'm so glad to see you!" He stated whole-heartedly before setting her down. The two looked into each other's eyes with pure joy. Then Lucy remembered something and pulled out the necklace (Y/n) had given her years ago.

Lucy:"Here (Y/n), I've kept it like I've promised." She told the (s/c) male proudly. (Y/n) took the necklace gently and began to tear up.

(Y/n):"T-Thank you, Lucy. This means so much to me..." He said with tears. Lucy then gave him a kind smile.

Lucy:"So, how's your mom? Is she doing better?" She asked without a clue. (Y/n) froze for a second and stared at the blonde's face. His heart couldn't allow him to break that smile. (Y/n) forced himself to smile.

(Y/n):"She's doing great. In fact, she told me to come here and join." He said with a feigned grin. Lucy jumped for joy and dragged him to get his guild mark.

After receiving his guild mark, the new wizard showed it off proudly to Lucy. She clapped for him and gave (Y/n) the smile he fell for. It brightened the flame inside his heart for the starry eyed maiden.

However, it dimmed when a certain pink haired dragon slayer wrapped his arm around Lucy.

Natsu:"Hey Lucy, who's this?" He asked curiously. Lucy blushed removed Natsu's arm.

Lucy:"This is (Y/n). My close friend from my childhood." She introduced the (s/c) male. Natsu nodded silently before pointing at (Y/n) challengingly.

Natsu:"I want to fight you!" He proclaimed. (Y/n) raised an eyebrow at the odd gesture. Lucy began frantically waving her hands around to tell the pink haired mage to back off.

After she did, Lucy could be seen with a faint blush on her face. This didn't go unnoticed by (Y/n). Worry began to cloud his heart.

Lucy:"Oh Natsu, he'll never change." She said in an subconscious loving tone. (Y/n) began to tremble.

(Y/n):"I-Is he your boyfriend?" He asked hesitantly. Lucy flushed bright red and began to shake her head.

Lucy:"Of course not!" She denied too quickly, but her stare trailed over to Natsu who was causing more mayhem. (Y/n) recognized that look. It was the same one he would always give to Lucy.

(Y/n):"Okay..." He muttered. Lucy then smiled at (Y/n) and dragged him along.

Lucy:"Enough of that, let's go meet the others!" She announced happily. (Y/n) decided to smile for Lucy's sake that day.

What's going on? I want you to be happy, and that's all that matters. Ever since the day I met you, that's all that mattered to me. You may wonder why I left if I wanted you to be happy, but it's for the best. It's because I cannot watch you love someone else and not feel the worst pain in the world from my heart.

(Y/n):"Um Lucy?" He called out to the blonde with an extremely nervous tone. Lucy turned around and smiled at (Y/n).

Lucy:"Yes, (Y/n)?" She asked kindly. Her voice sent chills through (Y/n)'s body. He could not act normal around her. His feelings needed to be let out.

(Y/n) glanced nervously to the side. There stood hidden was Gray, Juvia, Erza, Mirajane, and Lisanna. They all decided to help (Y/n) confess to Lucy. The group planned for a whole week for the perfect meet. Now it was up to (Y/n).

(Y/n):"I um....uhh...I gotta tell you something..." He stuttered with fear. Lucy patiently waited for (Y/n) to continue. The poor male was slowly turning more red than Erza's hair.

(Y/n):"I-It's...that...I-" He was cut off by a certain pink haired mage interrupting.

Natsu:"Come on Lucy! We've got a job!" He shouted loudly. Lucy waved at Natsu and acknowledged his hollering.

Lucy:"Awesome! I'll be right there!" She said with joy. (Y/n) noticed something in her eyes. It was desire. Lucy had plenty of money because (Y/n) would always cover for her expenses. Plus Lucy just returned from a job and claimed she was taking a long break. However, Natsu's sudden proposal suggested some other ulterior motive to why Lucy wanted to work with Natsu.

Gray:"What the hell?! I thought I had him on a goose chase..." He muttered in frustration, but no one could hear him. Lucy then turned back to (Y/n).

Lucy:"Can you tell me later? I've got a train to catch with Natsu." She asked the (s/c) male kindly. (Y/n) nodded silently.

(Y/n):"Sure. Have fun..." He replied. Lucy flashed him a smile before joining Natsu on another request.

Once Natsu and Lucy were gone, (Y/n) let a rose drop to the ground from his hand. His teammates sadly approached the depressed male.

Mirajane:"I'm so sorry, (Y/n)." She said sadly.

Erza:"My sincerest apologies." She apologized genuinely. (Y/n) turned away.

(Y/n):"It's okay guys. Thank you for your help." He replied in a monotone voice. This worried his friends.

Lisanna:"I'm sure that you could tell Lucy later-" She stopped speaking when she heard (Y/n) begin to sniffle. This shocked everyone to see (Y/n) in this state.

(Y/n):"There's no point. You've seen the way she looks at him." He countered with tears flowing freely. Everyone went silent and looked at the ground sadly. (Y/n) began to walk away, but Lisanna tried to stop him. However, he dodged her attempt.

(Y/n):"No. I need to be alone." He muttered and walked away. No one stopped him this time. They only watched as the unfortunate man deal with his poor fate.

What I'm trying to say is that I'm in love with you. I always have, and I always will. However, someone else has captured your heart, and they are perfect for you. He has made you smile so much, and it makes me happy to see you smile. That's why I ask you to keep smiling on without me. Because if I was there, I might turn that smile upside down.

Lucy:"Are you okay?" The blonde asked (Y/n) with worry. The (h/c) haired male nodded and gave her a thumbs up. She smiled before running off to aid someone else. That being Natsu.

(Y/n):'Damn...' He winced in pain and fell to his knees. Erza walked over to (Y/n) and glared at him.

Erza:"What were you thinking?! You could have gotten yourself killed!" She scolded in a hushed tone. (Y/n) scoffed and gripped his bleeding wound.

(Y/n):"If it means protecting her, then my life is worth it." He said in a strained tone. Erza grit her teeth and grabbed the injured man. She slammed in behind a wall where Lucy couldn't see.

Erza:"What good would come to Lucy if you died?!" She demanded in anger. (Y/n) weakly smiled at Erza.

(Y/n):"My death wouldn't matter much. She has Natsu." He replied. This pissed off Erza even more, and she stabbed a sword beside his face.

Erza:"She will be devastated! Heartbroken that her closest friend is dead!" She protested. (Y/n) rolled his eyes.

(Y/n):"Was the closest friend. Look at her now." He replied sadly. Erza glared at him before looking at Lucy. She and Natsu were laughing with each other like best friends would, maybe even couples. Just like (Y/n) stated. He pushed Erza away from him and began to leave.

(Y/n):"You see? I'm just someone who's there now. However, I'll keep living for Lucy. If there's a time that I need to make that sacrifice, no hesitation." He stated coldly before leaving. Erza gasped in shock and looked down at the ground. Disbelieving of how one thing can break someone like that.

I don't want you to always look at me and feel sad. Sad that I was hurt because of your happiness. Please don't be. I want you to live life you all of our friends and Natsu. He will bring you love that I can't. Please be happy for me. That's all I ask for. That's all that mattered.

(Y/n):"I've got you Lucy." The beaten and exhausted man muttered. In his arms was an unconscious Lucy who had passed out from her injuries in battle.

Lucy:"Natsu..." She muttered in her sleep. This pained (Y/n) to hear, but he kept moving.

He carried her to safety and set her down. Then his hand hovered over her Fairy Tail guild mark. A faint glow of the male's magic energy began to transfer over to Lucy. He was giving her the last of his magic.

(Y/n):"This should help you stay alive..." He trailed off, as he collapsed. (Y/n) fell and hit the ground before rolling back down the rocky hill. He finally stopped rolling and settled at the base of the hill.

Unbeknownst to the (s/c) mage, Natsu was running around and calling for Lucy. He then sniffed and spotted her location.

Natsu:"Lucy!" He cried out in terror and ran to her aid. Lucy began to stir awake and opened her eyes slightly.

Lucy:"Natsu?" She called out weakly. Natsu gently scooped up the injured celestial mage.

Natsu:"I've got you Lucy, we won't die today." He assured the blonde. She smiled weakly and snuggled into the fire wizard.

Lucy:"Thank you, Natsu..." She muttered before Natsu carried her away. (Y/n) lying unmoving at the bottom of the hill was silent. However, a tear rolled down the side of his cheek.

(Y/n):"Fate...why do you hate me?" He whispered in agony.

Tell Natsu to take good care of you for me. Otherwise I'll come back and kill him. However, I know that won't happen. Tell everyone that I will miss them and Fairy Tail. It was a place of happy and sad memories. I wished I could have made more, but it was my time here to end.

(Y/n):"This is getting desperate." He muttered hesitantly. Erza and Mirajane shook their heads before forcing the man to sit down. In front of him was Cana. She began to place her fortune telling cards.

Cana:"These will tell you your future." She told him sincerely. (Y/n) sighed sadly and nodded in defeat. Everyone who knew about (Y/n)'s love for Lucy waited in anticipation for the reading. Cana began flipping cards, and (Y/n) even began to get anxious.

(Y/n):'Please...just one break is all I ask for...' He begged silently. Cana then revealed the last card. Her eyes widened, and she sighed sadly.

Cana:"I'm sorry, (Y/n). You will have bad luck today." She began. Suddenly, the guild's doors slammed open. Storming in was Lucy and Natsu. They both were blushing, but grinning happily.

Happy:"Hey everyone, Lucy finally confessed to Natsu! They love each other officially!" He announced happily. (Y/n)'s heart shattered. Everyone around (Y/n) instantly felt bad.

Cana:"But you don't need me to tell you that." She finished with sympathy for (Y/n). Everyone then began to cheer for the new couple.

(Y/n) was the underdog here, and people were just waiting for Lucy to hook up with Natsu. (Y/n) was trembling from the utter shock of everything. Suddenly, a small smile formed on his lips, but there was also a tear drop.

(Y/n):"I'm happy for you, Lucy." He whispered so no one could hear. He was watching Natsu and Lucy hold hands. Both with a loving smile that no one can come in between the two.

Don't miss me for your sake. Leave the pain to me, that's how I always wanted it. It is how it always has been. I will bear the pain for you, so you can live life. If you do, just point up into the stars. I will always be watching out for you.

Sitting alone by the ocean was (Y/n). His body had gotten more defined and scarred over the years. Especially for jumping in the way for his teammates, friends, and love. He was contemplating about his life and sighed.

(Y/n):'Maybe I should move on...' He thought of the possible suggestion. Suddenly, he heard rapid footsteps approach from behind. The (h/c) haired male turned around to see a pink haired male.

Natsu:"Yo, (Y/n)!" He called out to the lonely mage. (Y/n) sighed tiredly at the sight of not a favorable person.

(Y/n):"Yes, Natsu?" He replied. Natsu stopped beside (Y/n) and looked at him nervously. He was hiding something behind his back.

Natsu:"I know we may not see eye to eye on things, nor do we get along too much. However, I still consider you my friend, and you are Lucy's closest friend." He stated while scratching his head. (Y/n)'s wyes narrowed.

(Y/n):"Okay...your point is?" He questioned calmly. Natsu sighed and revealed what he was hiding. (Y/n)'s eyes widened in shock. It was a ring box.

Natsu:"I'm proposing to Lucy, and I would like your blessing." He requested firmly. (Y/n) stared at the box in disbelief. He was speechless.

Natsu:"Her father is gone, so you're the closest thing to a relative she has. I would like to have your blessing, but it won't change my decision. I love Lucy, and will still marry her whether you like it or not." He stated with complete truth. (Y/n) closed his eyes and let everything sink in. (Y/n):"You have my blessing." He replied quietly. Natsu's eyes widened before he started to jump up and down.

Natsu:"Haha! Yes!" He cheered.

(Y/n):"Natsu!" He shouted for the attention of the hyped mage. Natsu immediately stood in attention. (Y/n) looked at the fire wizard dead in the eyes.

(Y/n):"Take care of here." He pleaded Natsu. Natsu nodded with a grin before leaving to give the good mews to Lucy. (Y/n) turned and looked back at the sea. Tears rolled down his eyes like the past.

(Y/n):'Guess I can never move on. Please take care of her Natsu...' He thought silently and cried his endless pain.

Before I end this letter, Lucy, I congratulate on your engagement and future marriage. I'm sure you will look beautiful going down the aisle no matter what you're wearing. I just wish that it would be me waiting to take your hand. However, we don't always get what we want. I know you'll have beautiful children, and they will carry on that kind heart of yours. Take care of yourself Lucy. This is my final goodbye, and I'm sorry I could not tell you face to face.

Levy stopped reading, and everyone was speechless. The only sound from the group was the faint sobbing from Lucy.

Lucy:"Why (Y/n)?" She croaked out, and Natsu hugged her tightly.

Natsu:"I can't believe he would do this. (Y/n)." He said with anger and disbelief. Everyone else sighed sadly. They knew about (Y/n)'s feelings for Lucy, but swore to never mention it.

Mirajane:"I'm sorry, Lucy, but (Y/n) made us swear not to tell." She said with tears in her eyes.

Erza:"I never thought (Y/n) would go as far as to leave." She added in sadly.

While crying, something fell out of the envelope. It was the necklace (Y/n) had given to Lucy in the past before she returned it. Lucy picked it up and began to cry even more. However, she willed herself to read the note some more.

Lucy:'This is my mother's necklace, and I want you to have it. You can do whatever you would like with it. Sell it, trade, or wear it if you want. However, this was something that I hold dear to me like you. It's only best if you kept it.' She read the extra note left by (Y/n). Then the blonde silently vowed to never let go of it.

(Lucy POV):

I was sitting on the porch to my house. Actually it was mine and my family's home. It was simple and affordable. Good enough to raise children and have a nice scenery. Suddenly, I heard two pairs of footsteps storm from the house. This awakened the baby in my lap, and I grew ticked off.

"Layla! Igneel! Would you two stop making such a racket?!" I shouted at the two rascals. One was a little blonde girl with brown eyes. The other was a young boy with pink hair and black eyes. The girl wore celestial world clothing, while the other dressed in a black jacket and scarf.

Layla/Igneel:"Yes, mother!" They shouted in unison. Suddenly, my baby awoke and began crying. I sighed tiredly and began to rock him back and forth.

"Shh. Shh. Don't cry." I told him gently. My child cooed a little before falling back asleep. This brought a wave of relief to me before I glared at my other two children. They all cowered in fear, until someone people came home.

Natsu/Happy:"Hey, kids!" They shouted loudly. Suddenly, my baby began crying again, and I whimpered in defeat. Natsu chuckled nervously and walked over to me.

Natsu:"Sorry, Lucy, I didn't mean to-" I cut off his apology by punching him in the face. This brought a giggle to my young one, and I smiled and held him up.

"Ohh. What am I going to do with you young man?" I baby talked to my little child. He giggled happily, and the rest of my family looked at me weirdly.

Igneel:"What's wrong with mom?" He whispered to his sister. She shrugged.

Layla:"I don't know? That time of the month?" She proposed with uncertainty. Natsu and Happy shook their heads.

Happy:"Nah. She just gave birth!" He pointed out.

Natsu:"Plus she wasn't acting like this yesterday." He added. I began fuming with rage. Before I could unleash it, someone started crying. I sighed tiredly. It was feeding time again.

"Natsu, could you fetch some milk?" I requested. He tilted his head in confusion.

Natsu:"Couldn't you just..." He began to lift up and down his imaginary breasts. I growled at him.

"I'm run dry. Now get me some formula!" I shouted with rage. However, he and Happy booked it.

Natsu/Happy:"Sorry! We have a job to get to and just wanted to say hi!" They hollered and faded away. I groaned in exhaustion. Now I had to take my three kids to the store.

"Let's go get your baby brother some food, kids." I notified my other two children. Luckily, Layla had Igneel get ready for me. The four of us ventured into Magnolia to get some formula.

Soon, the four of us arrived at a usual store that I would go to. However, something was wrong. It seemed like the service was minimum. Whatever was left seemed nervous about something.

'What's going on?' I asked and began to leave, but turned around and gasped. A creepy looking man stood in front of me, and I stumbled back.

Creep:"Hey there, missy." He greeted creepily. I grabbed my children and pulled them back with me. However, I stopped again because there was another creep behind me.

"Who are you people?" I demanded to know. Then they pulled out swords and magic staffs. My eyes widened in terror. They were dark mages.

Dark Mage 2:"We're just people looking to cause some ruckus. A little fun." The one wizard behind me joked. Then I saw many other creepy men step out from behind shelves and such. They had this place taken hostage, and I walked right in with my kids.

Dark Mage:"Yeah. Let's just calm down and have some fun." The initial creep licked his lips, as he cackled. I stared at him in terror and reached for my gate keys. However, they were not there.

"What?! Where are they?" I asked in shock. Then Igneel began to chuckle nervously.

Igneel:"Sorry mom, I thought they were shinky toothpicks." He said in innocently. I would have to punish him later, but right now I had more important priorities. My children's safety.

"You will not hurt my kids!" I announced defensively and held onto my newborn. The dark wizards cackled in amusement.

Dark Mage:"Sure. Just hand over your belongings, and everyone will be just fine." He proposed. I grit my teeth and handed him my purse. He sneered and began going though it. However, he suddenly stopped and looked at me.

Dark Mage:"I said hand over everything." He reminded me. I grew confused for a second before realizing what he meant.

"Please, this has more sentimental value than it's actual worth." I pleaded, but the dark mage ignored my pleas and tried to grab the necklace (Y/n) gave me.

I tried to dodge, but the man slapped me across the face. I cried out in pain before falling, while using my body to shield my baby.

Igneel/Layla:"Mom!" They shouted in terror and rushed over to me. I gripped my face in pain, as the crook stomped over to me. Instead of grabbing only my necklace, he grabbed my baby too.

"NOO!" I cried out in pure terror. Many other men restrained me. Igneel growled and stood up.

Igneel:"Give back my baby brother!" He shouted and charged at the dark mage. I began to cry.

"No, Igneel!" I cried out for my sun to stop. However, he was kicked away with ease. The dark wizard cackled evilly with my baby.

Dark Mage:"OoO! I'm so scared of big brother." He mocked my fallen sun before pulling out a gun. He aimed it at Igneel and readied to fire. I struggled against my restrainers, but it was futile.

"NOOOO!!!!" I screamed. The dark mage smirked.

Dark Mage:"Say goodbye!" He yelled and pulled the trigger. The shot went off, but Igneel was fine. Everyone was shocked and confused.

Dark Mage:"What the? What happened?" He asked in shock. Suddenly, a mysterious voice filled the air.

???:"Didn't someone ever teach you to pick on someone your own size?" He questioned before the dark mage with my baby screamed. The newcomer crushed the bullet in his han The dark mage fell to his knees, but my baby was snatched away by someone.

I looked to see a person with light armor and a black cape. He wore a hood and mask that covered his face, but I could see some (h/c) hair and (s/c) skin.

Dark Mage:"H-How did you get behind me?" He asked in disbelief before passing out. Then the newcomer looked at the other evil men.

???:"Didn't someone teach you not to hit women?" He asked, and half of the men attacking the store screamed in pain. One fell down beside me, and I could see a faint cloud of smoke rise from their body. Electricity?

Dark Mage 2:"T-This guy is crazy! Let's get out of here!" He yelped and began to run. The rest of the men restraining me now ran off. I turned to see them run, but the newcomer extended his hand.

???:"Didn't someone teach you not to mess with a mother's babies?" He stated before zapping them with white lightning. I gasped in shock at how easily he beat those dark mages.

Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked to see my rescuer kneel down in front of me with my youngest child.

???:"Here you go." He handed me my child. I cried in relief and hugged my newborn. Then my other two children joined me. I embraced them lovingly before looking at the man.

"Thank you." I thanked him with all my heart. He reached behind him and handed me my belongings.

???:"These belong to you." He told me, and I frantically put on (Y/n)'s necklace. I let out a relieved sigh once it was back in my possession.

"Thank god. I don't know what I would have done if I lost this." I stated in relief.

???:"Really? It must mean a lot to you." He commented, and I nodded.

"Yeah. It belonged to a close friend." I replied.

???:"Must mean a lot if you stood up to those guys for it." He said curiously. I smiled faintly and began to cradle my son.

"Mmhmm. I actually named my bundle of joy here after who it used to belong to. (Y/n)." I said with a smile. My rescuer suddenly stiffened. I looked at him with worry.

"Are you alright?" I questioned. He nodded and stood up.

???:"I'm fine. Cute kid." He replied and began to walk away. However, Igneel wouldn't let him.

Igneel:"Hey mister!" He called to the mysterious man. The (s/c) man stopped and looked at my son.

Igneel:"You were so cool man! I want to be just like you!" He shouted at the masked man.

Layla:"I thought you wanted to be like daddy." She pointed out and embarrassed Igneel. This elicited a chuckle from the masked man.

???:"Sure kid." He replied briefly and continued on. However, my son wasn't finished.

Igneel:"Can I at least know your name, so I can find you later on?" He requested. The masked man stopped and glanced back. I gasped at what I saw. Those (e/c) eyes that I can never forget.

???:"You already know it." He said to Igneel and winked at me before leaving. I stared in shock, as I watch my savior leave. The person who had been missing forever shows up at the perfect time. Just when I needed him to protect me and my family.

Layla:"Do you know who he is, Igneel?" She asked innocently. My older son scratched his head in trying to catch the memory. A faint smile formed on my lips, and I looked down at my little (Y/n).

'Thank you, (Y/n)...' I silently thanked my forever loyal companion.
