Background:

-Before Fairy Tail:
Your village was attacked by mysterious black magic users. However, they didn't harm the people, instead they formed a wall that no one could escape. Just when you thought the attack was over, a large magic circle appeared over the village. Thousands of demons poured out and began slaughtering anything that lived. You watched your parents die to protect you. This triggered your internal magic to awaken, and you created a massive lightning storm. Your lightning struck every single demon and sent them back to hell. Unfortunately, there was one remaining demon, and he was the king of hell. He saw power that he had never seen. This made him desire to teach you Demon Slayer Magic. You accepted his offer in exchange for one thing precious to you. There was nothing left that you possessed that he wanted. The king of hell didn't even want your soul. Then he had an idea, but you had to accept. You accepted the deal in exchange for power to slaughter all demons. The king of hell trained you and disappeared after his job was done. You wandered the distant lands and slaughtered all demons in your wake. However, you grew bored of it quickly and decided to leave that field of work. You saw that assassinating rogue wizards made much more money and decided to pursue that. That was when you met Makarov. He offered you a place in Fairy Tail, instead of being a mercenary. You accepted under one condition, unlimited free strawberry sundaes.

-During Fairy Tail:
You were forced into a rivalry between Gray and Natsu. However, you never wanted such thing, but the two insisted with the initiation. You would always beat them in one hit, and they would always come back for more. You were close and not close to anyone. Mainly due to the fact that you always kept to yourself. Even during the random fights in the guild, you were in a random corner reading or eating strawberry sundaes. Erza respected you and had conversations with you when she isn't beating up people or on missions. Mirajane liked you for your cool nature, but also hated it. You were sometimes considered too aloof. Mainly because you made S-class just after Laxus did. Even though you were much younger than he was. It made him your rival, but you always saw him as too cocky and broody. Then there was Mystogan. You were always able to resist his magic and saw his face. He seems to not like you, but you could care less. In general, you cared little for everything. Even when it comes to missions, you laid back until the moment you were needed. Plus you rarely completed any missions. The rare ones you did was all saved up. Only when Makarov insisted you take on a mission is when you did. As the years go on, you would often accompany many people on their personal goals. Mostly Erza and Natsu. Erza always wanted a companion to communicate to because everyone was too afraid to talk to her. Natsu needed someone to help him during his motion sickness while trying to find Igneel. During all of this, they have grown close to you without you even knowing it. They trusted you completely, while you didn't care enough for anything. Someone says something, you would believe them and walk away. A robber steals your wallet, you follow them until they give the money back. However, you are usually the one that gives up first.

-Current:
It's a large world, and Natsu requested you join him on finding Igneel because he heard a rumor from a guild mate. Despite all logic saying it's fake, you agreed to follow because Makarov wad tired of seeing you sit around. This was when you come into town and find a girl named Lucy.
