"Addie!" Maddie hissed .

"Ssh...don't scream" Aiden whispered.

"Maya is sleeping, Aiden go" Maddie signaled.

"Babes come" Aiden spoke out irritated.

"You will wake her up!" Maddie gritted her teeth.

Aiden jumped off the window ledge and he came inside the room.

Maddie took him to one corner of the room and he spoke," You ain't keeping up my calls now spend some time with me, you are here since last 2 days" .

"Addie go away Maya is just there " Maddie spoke out in a whisper.

"No" Aiden shook his head.

"Get out of here" Maddie spoke out.

"Give me a kiss" Addie whined .

"Okay but then leave" Maddie let out a sigh.

She sat next to him, he leaned forward to kiss her. He kissed me passionately.

As the kiss grew deeper Maddie bumped her on the wall ,more precisely the switch board.

The electricity ran between the 2 humans and also between the wires of the socket exposing the dark madness.

" Maddie ?" Maya rose up as ghost rises up from his own grave.

Maddie and Addie stood up.

"Who is he!" Maya confronted.

"Friend" Maddie replied," Boyfriend " Aiden spoke out in chorus with Maddie.

The two ladies in the room glared Addie who gulped hard.

"We are going to India" Maya declared.

"What no !" Aiden and Maddie spoke out in unison.

" Now leave my daughter alone" Maya rose an eyebrow making Aiden leave without  a second word.

"I am not your daughter " Maddie spoke out furiously.

"I am not your mother either, do as I say" Maya shot back.

"Airbus 2341 American Airlines is ready to take off, passengers are requested to fasten their seats belts" The pilot made the announcement.

"Maya, I think this plane will crash let's get off" Maddie spoke out.

"Do you think it's final destination movie going on here? Shut up and tack your seat belt" Maya spoke out harshly.

"Maya is changing faster than chameleon" Maddie thought with tear filled eyes.

"The que is huge huh ?" Maddie stood at the IGI Airport.

"I need to use restroom" Maddie excused as Maya stood at the conveyer belt for language.

Maddie got freshen up and walked out of the washroom when someone dragged her to the adjacent men's washroom.

Maddie threw punches in the air,"Help!" She shrieked.

"Ssh...it's me " the attacker spoke out.

"Aiden?" Maddie looked surprised.

"I am here with you" Aiden hugged her.

"What if Maya discovers you?" Maddie asked.

"I will be careful, at right moment we will fly back to New York" Aiden replied.

Maddie's phone rang,"I need to go but be in touch, here is my new number " Maddie spoke out scribbling her new contact on a paper.

"Woah what's that Maya?" Maddie pointed out.

"That's a scrap dealer with his rickshaw" Maya replied.

"What's that ?" Maddie again asked as their rickshaw wheeled through the busy  lanes of old Delhi .

"That's shit" Maya spoke.

"Whose shit?" Maddie spoke out with a straight face.

"Probably a dog /Buffalo or a cow...wait Maddie asking useless questions" Maya shrieked.

"Maya, why are you doing this? I don't want to live here ,this is not where I belong" Maddie spoke out.

"This is your native country , you belong here .You fall in love with the country" Maya spoke with a smile plastered on her face.

"Congested streets, cow dungs,potholes ,blaring sun and traffic , yeah this is heaven I love it" Maya spoke sarcastically.

"Oh no...in that auto, Aiden is following our rickshaw.Hope Maya doesn't see him" Maddie panicked internally.

"Stop here" Maya spoke in hindi to the rickshaw puller.

There stood an old  haveli at the corner of the lane , with a big wooden door ,iron loops hanging over it . A big lock and chain tied between the two such loops.

"Eww...that's all rusted junk " Maddie scrunched looking at the door's lock, chain and loops.

"Put right foot forward when you enter this house" Maya spoke out opening the looking.

There stood a varendah with huge shelves in the walls.

"What are those for?" Maddie questioned.

"For lamps " Maya replied.

"No bulbs ?" Maddie spoke out curiously.

"In old times people used lanterns that worked with kerosine" Maya replied.

"Is that kitchen? What's that an oven" Maddie looked at the old kitchen.

"That's earthen stove , people in village still use them just like lanterns" Maya responded.

"And what's that ?" Maya entered a small square space with a wooden door.

"That's bathroom" Maya spoke.

"Where is the bathtub or the shower ?" Maddie spoke out.

"Bucket and mugs that's how it worked here and that's how most people in this area do it" Maya replied.

"What's that ?" Maddie looked confused at a hole dug in between of a bowel shaped structure in the ground with two raised rectangular slabs.

"That's toilet, Indian style" Maya spoke out.

"What? Where is the toilet seat!" Maddie panicked.

"It's okay Maddie,you will learn" Maya spoke out looking amused.

"What ! How am I suppose to sit here?" Maddie spoke out as the confusion rose up in her skull.

"Most people use it ,you too will adjust. Put your foot on those slabs .Do your job , use the water from the tap and then when you are done,don't forget to splash water in that bowel so that nasty stuff wahes down away" Maya spoke out controlling her laughter.

"That's fucking complicated" Maddie gritted her teeth .
