He watched his pack house burn to the ground from a distance, his beta kept pulling him.

"Your highness we must leave at once" he says. The alpha king looks at the vampires throwing petrol filled bottles to the house and he growls.

"Vampires...."

He charges towards them. The vampire king smirks stopping the alpha king with a fist to the jaw.

"I've always wanted to fight with a mutt"

"Who are you calling a mutt you walking mosquito"

The smirk on the vampire king's face disappears as he charges towards the wolf. Their bodies clash as they fight with their strength.

"There's nothing special about wolves, all you do is sit around and have sex all day" he punches him on the temple. The alpha king returns the punch to the vampire's gut.

"What's so special about you huh? Killing innocent lives so you can stay alive?...pathetic"

"At least we don't have allergic reactions to silver!" He uppercuts him making the wolf fall on his back. The vampire king steps on his chest. And lowers his upper body so that they're face to face.

"Where's your goddess now huh flea bag" he breaks his neck.

He turns to his subjects.

"Burn the place to ashes, we're superior than them!"

Max wakes up with a burning feeling on his wrist, his father's pack symbol fading making him gasp.

"What's wrong?" Jacque asks as he comes out of the bathroom. Max shakes his head in disbelief.

"It can't be..."

"Max what's wrong?" Jacque asks again. The ruckus wakes Taylor up.

"What's going on?"

"I think my father is dead" making Taylor freeze.

"How do you know?" He asks. Max shows him his wrist.

"Let's head to his pack"

The doors opened and the triplets entered her office.

"The alpha king is dead"

"Who killed him?"

"The vampire king"

She smirks.

"Good...eliminate him"

A black SUV parked at the front of the pack house. Max gets out in a rush seeing his home burnt to ash.

"Dad! Mom!" He calls out.

Taylor and Jacque get out of the car, the wind lingering with the scent of ash. Taylor looked around, he could see the burnt bodies of the pack members making sad.

"Vampires" Jacque says. Taylor looks at him.

"What makes you say that?"

Jacque points at a nearby tree, it had three claw marks on it's bark.

"Only vampires can make a claw mark like that and i know which clan too"

"Which one?"

"Mine"

Max walked aroud the pack house, he froze seeing his mother's corpse laying on the ground, her face burnt on the left side. He choked out a sob clutching her tightly to his chest.

"AHHH!" he wailed.

Taylor and Jacque come running to find him like that. Tears brimmed his eyes seeing his husband like that. He kneeled down besides him.

"Max.." he tried to touch him.

"Don't touch me! Leave me alone! This is your fault"

Pain struck his heart hearing that, Jacque steps forth.

"Don't talk to him like that...why is it his fault"

"Don't you see...if i never met him i would've been here to protect her...now she's....now she's dead and it's all your fault! I hate you!"

"Max...you don't mean that" Taylor says quietly, tears streaking down his face.

"Leave me alone!"

"Max.."

"Go!"

Jacque helped Taylor up as they left him there. Taylor silently crying.

"Don't listen to him"

"It's okay"

He sat proudly on his throne. After what happened last night, the vampires were proud to have taken down a pack of wolves without any help.

The doors opened revealing the triplets. He smirks.

"I hope Victoria is happy about what we did last night"

"She is and she decided to reward you" they say at the same time.

"Good good"

They take a seat infront of him. Their eyes glow pink.

"After you've done your work today, you will stand at the balcony of your room naked and enjoy the sunset...if you understand say yes master"

"Yes master"

Their eyes return back to normal and the vampire king shakes his head.

"What was i saying?" He asks. They smile.

"You were saying how you're looking forward to use the new car Victoria bought you"

"Ah yes...I'm very excited"

He wipes off his tears.

"You said the clan that attacked this place was yours?"

"Yes...I'll have wynter go check out if anything is out of the ordinary"

He looks outside the window.

"Okay"

Jacque pats his knee.

"Don't take his words to heart, he's just hurt"

"I just wish he'd let me be there for him"

"With time he will...trust me"

He covered his mother's body with his jacket and stood up, he searched for his father.

"Dad?"

He turned the corpses over to see their face but his father was nowhere to be seen. He froze gazing up ahead. His father's body hanged by the legs from a tree, his heart broke seeing the blood dripping out of his mouth.

"Dad...."

He quickly cut him down and laid him on thrme ground, he cried silently. The pain of losinh both his parents leaving a dark hole in his heart.

"I promise...I'll avenge you....even if it kills me"

"Where are the alphas and their mate?" Benjamin asks. Rita shrugs as she gazes at their chairs.

"Maybe the went out or something" she concludes. They continue having their breakfast in silence.

After what happened yesterday with Sandra, The wolves of the black moon pack find it awkward to talk to Rita about it without knowing how the human will react.

"Are you okay?" Benjamin asks. Rita raises a brow.

"I'm good, why you ask?"

"Thought you might be sad after the whole Sandra thing"

"I never loved her so..eh" she shrugged. Benjamin shakes his head chuckling.

"Such a tease"

The car ride back home was silent. after he had buried his parents in the pack's cemetery, Max doesn't want to talk about what he said to Taylor before because he feels like his husband will not forgive him for his harsh words.

Taylor was asleep in his seat providing Jacque with the opportunity for him and Max to have a talk.

"You made him cry"

The words were simple but yet so hurtful. Max sighs.

"I know...i don't deserve his forgiveness"

"You don't but he will forgive you no matter what because he loves you...don't push him away...especially now"

"I promise"

Jacque smiles.

"That means me too you know"

"I know i know" they both chuckle.

Wynter enters the castle and goes straight to his father's office. To his surprise there was no one there. He closed the door and heard screaming outside.

He quickly made his way outside to find the Vampire king looking at the sun.

"Dad! What are you doing?" He asks in shock.

For a vampire king, he could walk around the sun without risking his life however, the hues of the sunset were his only weakness and seeing his father in the sunset gave him a fright.

"I'm enjoying the sunset, it's so beautiful" he says. His skin starts to sizzle.

Wynter ran upstairs to his room to find the door locked. He kicked it over and over again and by the time he wss able to go inside. The vampire king had turned to white ash.

"Oh my goddess"
