We make our way through the old town, avoiding as much WLF and some traps that they set as we could, and got closer to the TV station. "So...when we find this....Leah, was it? What are you guys gonna do?" Dina asked us. "We'll ask her what she knows. Maybe see if she knows where Abby is." I replied.

"And if she doesn't talk?" Jesse asked and I smirk a bit. "We'll make her talk." I replied, gesturing between me and Elliot as we come up to this wall that was spray painted on. It looked like an older woman, her hair was braided and her hand was raised and there was people around her. The words Feel her love was written next to her.

"Who do you think that is?" Daniel asked as we look at the wall. "Um, someone who wants us to feel her love." Dina said and Elliot shakes his head, slightly. "I don't like it." He muttered. "You guys think she's connected with the Wolves?" Dina asked. "Don't know." Elliot and I replied. "It's kinda fucking weird." Daniel remarks and we walk pass the wall then head under what use to be an overpass, where we see some dead infected and a horse.

"Oh shit!" The boys exclaimed, shocked, as I look over the dead infected. "These guys were all shot." I noted as Elliot and Jesse walk over to the horse and Dina and Daniel come up next to me. "Hey, look!" Jesse said and we turn to him as he points at the familiar J mark on the horse's thigh. "It's Joel's." He said and I look at the poor horse to see that its guts were ripped out.

"Infected did a number on this poor thing." I said as Elliot opens the flap of the saddle bag, checking to see if there was anything. Then Dina begins to vomit and we all turn to her. "Dina?" Daniel said, worried, as she continues to vomit. "You okay?" Jesse asked her as she stands up and wipes her mouth with the back of her hand. "Yeah, sorry. It's just...the smell." She said, disgusted, but I raise an eyebrow to her while the boys shrug.

"Okay. Well, Joel must've taken off on foot." Elliot said. "You good to keep going?" I asked Dina, with worry. "Yeah, I'm fine." She said, nodding, then we make our way to the TV station.

"There it is, boys and girls." Jesse said as we finally made it to the station. "Stay low." I warned. "Feels empty." Dina said. "I don't buy it." Elliot said and I shake my head. "Me either." I remarked and we find an open window then make it inside.

We walked inside then get into the main stage of the station, only to see several bodies hanging in the air and their guts ripped out of their stomach. "Holy fuck!" Dina exclaimed as my jaw was dropped. "Fuck!" Daniel exclaimed.

"This is definitely not Joel." I said in a surprised whisper. "Who the fuck did this?" Daniel asked me and I shrug. "I don't know." I whispered. "Well I, for one, don't want to hang around long enough to find out." Elliot said and the rest of us nod in agreement. "Just keep your eyes peeled." Jesse said as we continued on.

"These bodies are fresh." Dina points out as she gets closer to the hanging bodies and looks them over. "Yeah, like I said, keep your eyes peeled. Whoever did this might still be here." Jesse said and we look around the station then find away up the stairs.

We get to the upper levels of the station and look around until I open a door to an office and see a woman, dead, with three arrows sticking out of her. "That's her. Leah." I said as the others come up next to me. "You sure?" Elliot asked me. I nodded while a weird warble noise sounded out. I look up and see an old radio transmitter sitting on the table in front of us.

"Guess the universe really wanted her dead, huh?" Dina said and Daniel starts to check Leah's body while the rest of us look around the room. "There's nothing on her." Daniel informed us as I turn back to them and see Jesse pulling out a bag from under a cot.

Then I heard a voice through the radio calling out to their friends, but no response. "Guys, check this out." Jesse said as he comes over to us, holding some pictures in his hand. He holds out a stack of pictures of people for us to see and Daniel and I gasped.
"It's all of them." Daniel said and he flips through the pictures.

The first picture was of Jordan and Leah, all hugged up together, then the next picture was of a different guy with his hair tied up in a bun. This was Manny, the one who wanted to kill us, and it looked like he was standing in front of a familiar snowy mountain and a cabin, smiling. "That's near Jackson." I said as Daniel flip to another picture, this one of Abby standing next to the blonde guy. It said Abby and Owen under the picture.

"That's her! She's the one that killed Tommy." I said as I stared at the picture with hate. "Who the hell carries pictures of their friends around?" Dina asked. "Yeah, that's really odd. What was Leah afraid she was gonna forget what her friends look like?" Jesse asked and the others chuckle while I shake my head and sigh.

"Three down, right?" I said and the others nod. "Six, this is two, do you copy? Support unit India en route to the tv station." The woman's voice said on the radio. "Shit." Dina mutters, worried. "We should get going." Elliot said to us and we start to make our way back out.

But we weren't that lucky to get out, safely, as we make our way back through the main area and see some of the WLF walking around. They see the bodies of their fallen friends then mentioned something about looking for scars, whatever that means, and they start to spread out.

We took out any soldiers that were near us, quietly, but it was never going to be that easy. One of them saw us and they immediately started firing as more WLF come in. "Run!" Jesse shouted and the five of us jump out of a window and run outside.

Suddenly, I heard trucks coming and more WLF running out towards us, firing their guns. "Fuck!" I shout then I look at my friends. "C'mon!" I exclaimed and we run under the overpass then make it to a door as we hear them kept shouting. "Is it Scars? Are they Scars?"

We run in then Elliot and I shut the door then pushed a soda machine down to block the door. "That should do it." Elliot said. "We gotta keep moving." Jesse said to us. "Agreed." Dina and Daniel said as Elliot and I nod then we make our way deeper into room.

"Spores up ahead. Masks." I said and the five of us put our masks on, which I'm glad Elliot is still keeping that a secret. I don't know how Dina, Daniel and Jesse would react to that news.

We make our way through the debris and make it into what used to be a subway station, when we hear Clickers up head. We heard some WLF nearby as well, so Daniel grabbed a bottle near him and threw it, causing the Clickers to come out and attack the WLF.

They started firing but eventually it got too overwhelming for them and they try to escape. We make our way around them as quietly as we could and come up to old train cars and enter inside them. "You guys okay?" Elliot asked once we got inside a train car and shut the door. "Yeah...yeah, doing good." Daniel said, breathless. "Besides really tired, I guess I'm good." Dina said and I nod.

"Let's find a way out of here first then we'll find a place to rest." Jesse said and we make our way through the cars. "Did you guys hear what they kept calling us?" Dina asked us. "Scars? Yeah." Elliot said. "I wonder if that's who made all those murals." Daniel said. "And gutted all those Wolves." I said. "Everyone in this city is a fuckin' psycho." Dina grumbles and I nod. "No shit." Elliot muttered.

We walk through the tunnel when we heard a weird screeching sound up ahead then an explosion and what sounded like a person screaming in pain. "What the fuck?" Elliot and Daniel asked and I shrug as we come up to a doorway and see a red light and a body, which looked like he had acid poured over him.

"Jesus!" Jesse exclaimed and the rest of us stare at the man's acid burned body. "Have you guys ever seen anything like this?" Dina asked us and we shake our heads. "Bloaters have acid spores....but that didn't sound like a Bloater." I said and we head up some stairs then through the air vent.

"Got another shambler! Just get out of here." We hear a man's voice shout and some gunshots while a screeching moaning sound rings out. We looked down through the vents and see an infected creature I had never seen before. It looked like a Bloater but it had a hunchback and what look like holes all around it's top half.

As the WLF shot at it, the creature hunkered down and blast of smoke ejects out of the holes and the soldiers began to cry out in pain as their skin sizzles and burns before they fall over dead.

"Holy fuck!" Daniel whispered. "I've never seen one of those before." Dina said as the monster made a growling noise then walked away. "Me either." Elliot said and I shake my head. "This has to be new." I said as we continued on.

"Shamblers...is that what they called them?" Jesse asked. "Yeah." I said. "How the fuck are there more types of infected?" Daniel asked. "I don't know. Maybe a different environment..." I said, unsure with a shrug. "Well, they're disgusting either way." Dina said and me and the boys nod.

We make our way out of that enclosed space and end up on another section of the subway where we see a bunch of subway cars all piled up on top of each other. "Whoa! What happened here?" Elliot asked, in shock and awe. "I'm guessing a train crash." Dina said, sarcastically, and I chuckled at this. "Thanks, Sherlock." Elliot said to her, annoyed, and I shake my head.

"Wonder how long the trains ran after Outbreak Day." Daniel asked me. "I don't know." Elliot said. "I remember Joel said that the world went into utter chaos soon after Outbreak Day. So I'm sure not very long." I said.

"Up there! That's our way out!" Jesse said and we look up and see a light shining through. We climb over the cars and get inside of one of the cars when it started to collapse under our feet and Elliot fell forward. "Elliot!" All of us called out as we make our way out of the collapsed car.

Once we landed on the floor, an infected ran out and grabbed Elliot and I run over to it, grabbed it and shot it in the head. "You okay?" I asked him and he nods. "Elliot, your mask!" Jesse points out and I look back over to Elliot and noticed there was a crack on the glass of his mask.

Elliot raises a hand to his mask and sees the crack and he, quickly, looks at me, panicked. "Here, we can share mine." Daniel said and Elliot and I turn to him as Daniel starts to pull his mask off.

"No, no, no!" Elliot and I said, quickly, as we run to him and Elliot holds him up against a wall. "Don't take that off!" I said. "Daniel, stop!" Elliot shouted as Daniel struggles against him. Then Elliot takes off his mask.
"What? No! Elliot, no!!!" Daniel, Dina and Jesse said, panicked, then Daniel turned to me. "(Y/n), do something!" He screamed. "Guys! Calm down." I said, trying to be calm. 

"I'm not infected. I'm immune. I'm not coughing, do you see?" Elliot said to him and our friends look shocked at this. But then I heard some infected nearby and I turn to see a horde coming our way. "Guys, we gotta run!" I shouted and Daniel, Dina and Jesse look between us. 

"Can you run?" Elliot asked everyone. "Yes." They replied. "Then fuckin' run." I said and the five of us run through the station and up some escalators and stairs. We make it to this revolving turnpike door and make it through. We stop a bit and take breath then I turn to see Dina had fallen to the floor.

"Dina!" Elliot and I said and I go over to her right side and help her up, putting her arm around my shoulder. "I got her." I said and I look ahead to see a door. "That way." I said and the boys walk ahead of us a bit and we make our way out of the station and see a theater up ahead.

"Hey, we can rest in that theater." I said as we walked outside and the rain began to fall on us as Dina, Jesse, Daniel and I take our masks off. "That sounds so fuckin' good." Dina said, tired, and we get to the front door. "I got you." I said to Dina as Elliot and Jesse get the front door open.

"We're good." Elliot said after him and Jesse look inside and I lead Dina in then set her down on a couch, Daniel coming up behind us. Once she sits down, I noticed how tired she looked and she kinda looked a bit sick. In fact, through the last couple of weeks, I've noticed she had been a bit more nauseated than usual and more tired than usual.

"Okay, got it." Elliot said and he walks over to Dina. "You want to tell us what's going on with you?" Elliot asked her as Dina looks down then up at him. "What's going on with me? Elliot. We just saw you breathe spores." Dina said to him, a bit angry. "Yeah, what the fuck, man?" Jesse asked as Daniel looks at Elliot, confused.

"I told you guys. I'm immune." Elliot said. "Okay, you're immune? Come on." Daniel said, disbelief, and I sighed. "Guys...it's true. I've seen him breath in spores several times, and that was five years ago." I said and the three of them look at me, shocked. 

"What?" They said, breathless. "I was bitten and nothing happened." Elliot said to them, firmly. "He's telling the truth. I was there when he was bitten." I said. Dina, Jesse and Daniel stare at us then at his arm. "The chemical burn..." Dina said, shocked.

"Me, Joel, Tommy and Maria are the only ones who know about his immunity." I said to them and Dina looks down at the floor, obviously processing this information, while Daniel placed his hands on his head and Jesse turned his back to us.

"And when were you guys gonna tell us this?" Jesse asked, his back still to us. "Joel told us to not tell anybody about it. People will either think you're crazy or they'll kill ya." Elliot said. "Are...are there any more people immune?" Daniel asked and I sighed. "It's complicated." I said.

"Start from the beginning." Jesse said as he turns back to us. Elliot and I share a look before he sighs and we began to explain everything.

"And that's why we ended up in Jackson." Elliot said after we explained what happened to us five years ago. "Holy shit." Daniel muttered, shocked. "Damn." Jesse mutters and Dina gives us a wide-eyed look. "And that's it." I said and Dina shakes her head. "Unbelievable." She whispers. "We're sorry we didn't tell you guys but...it was for the best." Elliot said.

"I don't blame ya. If it was me, I'd be terrified too." Jesse said while Daniel and Dina share a look. "Guys?" Elliot and I said and the twins look over at us. "I-I-I think I need to lay down." Dina said as she lays down on the couch.

"I think all of us need a rest. It's been an interesting day." Jesse said. "Elliot and I will go find a way to turn the lights on." I said and Elliot nods. "Okay, be careful." Daniel said and Elliot and I walk away from our friends.

We walked up the stairs and found a room with a radio on the table. I walk inside the room and tried to turn it on but nothing was happening. I pushed the radio aside and found a set of keys underneath. "Awesome." I muttered.

“You were right...” 

I stopped and turned around to Elliot. "What?" I asked him, confused. “What you said to me. I thought about that for a while. And I think I understand now, if we were in each other’s positions. I would’ve lied to protect you as well, and I’m sorry I never understood what you had to go through to do that for me.” he said and I wave my hand, vaguely, at him.

“Its all in the past Elliot, it’s okay—“ I said then Elliot cuts me off. “No, it's not. I was angry and confused, and most of all betrayed. You and Joel had to carry that burden on your shoulders after what happened with the Fireflies. I was unconscious and I should’ve thought of how both of you felt instead of thinking about the cure, that could potentially save everyone but put my life at risk when I never knew about the consequences. You were right, they should’ve asked if I wanted this, but it never happened. I should’ve understood what you both had to do from your perspective instead of making you feeling like utter shit....I’m sorry.” he said and I stare at him in shock.

"Instead of listening, I treated you like crap. I avoided you like a plague, I hated that the most because I should’ve talked it out instead of focusing on the past." He continues. "You were my best friend and always there with me after Riley died. You were afraid to lose me too and...I made it a reality by pushing you away in the past couple years. What I did was an asshole move." He said and I gave a small smile at this.

"Elliot." I said, my voice choking up a bit. He gave me a small smile and I chuckled a bit. "You're right it was an asshole move." I said and he snorts. "Yeah, I know. No need to rub it in." He said. "I have every right to, Elliot." I said and he sighs and nods. "Yeah...yeah, you do. I can't argue with that." He said.
The two of us stare at us for a moment and I started to feel that old feeling I used to hold for Elliot. He smiles a bit and I look away before I clear my throat. "Um, c'mon....let's go find that generator." I said and he nods.

We start to look around until we found a power cord. We follow it towards a window and the two of us walk out of the window and out into the fire escape, where it was raining. We go over to a ladder and climb up and follow the cord, which lead to a little shed. 

Inside, we found the generator and a body, which looked like it had been fired. "Damn." Elliot said, shocked, and I nod as he goes to the generator and pulled the cord. After a couple of tugs, the generator turns on and the light in the shed came on, which told us the theater had power.

"Awesome!" Elliot said and I hold my hand up. "Teamwork." I said and he chuckles as we high-five each other. We make our way down the ladder and back into the window and got inside. "I'm gonna go check the rest of the theater." I said and Elliot nods. "Okay, I'm gonna work on this radio. See if it works." He said and I nod.

I head down stairs and I see that Dina was laying on the couch while Jesse and Daniel were talking. I wanted to go over there and ask them how was she but I wasn't for sure if they wanted to talk to me. I mean, we had been lying to them for years and I don't know if they want to be around us anymore, hell I wouldn't blame them. 

I turn away then head towards this double doors and used the key to open it. I walk in and found a large room with thousands of seats and a large stage up ahead. I walk towards the stage and look around and found a guitar case.

I open it and found a guitar that was in pretty good condition. I pick it up and then go to sit down in one of the seats. I tune the guitar and strum it for a bit, to make sure it was tuned, and then I began to play a song.

I walk through the valley of the shadow of death

And I fear no evil because I'm blind to it all
And my mind and my gun they comfort me

Because I know I'll kill my enemies when they come

Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life

Said, I walk beside the still waters and they restore my soul

But I can't walk on the path of the right because I'm wrong

I stopped then sighed as I lean my chin against the top of the guitar, just thinking over everything that happened today until I started to feel drowsy and pass out.
