Sam's P.O.V

Joel bursted the main door of the building open. We ran to the gate that was still opened. We've been going through the building quietly halfway through but as we reached the second floor, we got caught. So I'm helping them for a while.

"Go go go!" I yelled as we kept running and nearly losing our breathes.

"Close the gates! Close 'em now!" Jack shouted from behind us then shot a bullet onto my shoulder. "AAH! FUCK!" I grabbed my shoulder and kept running as I took the lead while the old man and Ellie shot the men.

We finally passed the main gate and ran to the forest. There was a steep hill and no where else but this'll help us escape. Everywhere were just green but we couldn't see what's in the distance. "From here!" I yelled and slid down a steep hill.

Ellie's P.O.V

As we slid down, the guards stopped shooting. When we reached the down I noticed Sam being shot on the shoulder because he was whining every time he touched it.

"Joel, you got any first aid kit?" I asked Joel. "Lemme check." He said. He opened his bag to check and got a wrapper. Getting it out, he tree it to me and began to wrap the cloth around his shot shoulder.

"Your lucky they shot you through instead of the bullet being stuck inside." I suggested as Sam winced from the pain. "Thanks." Sam said. I nodded and stood up.

"Where to now?" I asked Sam.

"I guess we'll have to keep moving straight and see what we get." He replied back.

"Let's go then." Joel said as he made his way through the woods.

We've been walking for hours now also really thirsty and hungry. "Do you think we should rest?" I asked Joel. The sun was already setting and darkness was filling the woods.

"Let's go to that area." Said Joel was we headed to a huge palm tree.

"Hey I think there should be a beach here...." Sam said as he looked at the tree.

"Doesn't look like there's beach here since I can't hear any sea waves crashing." Joel said. "It's because there are fuckin' cockroaches here." I said back. He rolled his eyes and gathered some sticks to build some fire.

I sat on the ground while Joel worked on the fire. Sam sat beside me. "I hope they don't find us again." He said. "As long as they don't find us away from their fort then that means we're safe... For a while..." I said again. We looked at each for a moment but then I looked down and turned my head away, of coarse and never having that feeling for a long time but.. Blushed.... Please don't tell me I like him! Please no! He's a bad man! He's a bad man!

I laid down while Joel finally fixed the fire and sat by me. "Any plans for tomorrow?" I asked. "I don't think so." The both boys said in sync. I chuckled and turned to Joel's side. My eyes were getting tired and the last thing I saw was something colored in light aquatic blue eyes and with black skin but couldn't make out was it was then fell asleep.
