Getting out

I needed to find a way to make a big noise enough to distract it, but it needs to stay there so it won't follow me. Was there something I could find to make a constant noise? There couldn't be, it is literally just walls. Wait. Maybe that is a good thing! If I can scream loud enough, the walls seem to be in a prefect square so I can create an echo lasting long enough to keep him away! Well.. this is going to be extremely hard to do a scream that big and probably hurt like hell.. but it's worth it, to get to Jackon.
"Sorry buddy, I don't mean to hurt you, but I need to get back to my friends." And I took in a big breath and pushed out the loudest scream I was capable of. My ears were ringing as the monster cried in agony. Now I had to run. fast. It hurt so bad. I was so dizzy and just needed to sit- No I can't think that way. Jackson needs me. I ran and ran as fast as I could until finally, I saw a different shade than just white. There was green, and brown and blue! I was out! I finally made it! I ran out smelling the fresh air after what felt like forever. And there he was. Jackson.
I was so happy. I ran over to him ready to hug him and never let go, until I realized. He was shot. I'm an idiot I completely forgot. "Jason I'm here! What do I need to do?"  He looked up at me, pain in his eyes.  "Amy, remember I told you that once you have passed the training you can heal your arm? Well now you can do that. You have passed-" he let out a cry of pain. "Amy quickly you need to get water and we will try to hold off the bleeding as long as possible." I ran as fast as I could. There had to be water somewhere. Maybe one of the huts around had it.
I ran up to one of the huts and pounded on the door. "Please someone, I need help!" Finally after what seemed like forever, someone answered. He was an old man. "Hello, yes. Can I help you?" he asked in a quiet voice.  "Yes, please do you have any water? My friend is dying and water is the only thing that can save him!"  He looked at me for a few seconds. "Well, yes I do have water, but I am afraid you will have to pay."  I stared at him in disbelief. "It's water! Why on earth would I have to pay for that? Fine. How much will it cost?" He stared at me with a smirk on his face. "It's not how much it will cost. It is what it will cost. You are very special, and if I get a drop of your blood, I can live forever. And since you seem so desperate to save your little friend, I bet you'll give it to me won't you?" I stared at his sick twisted little face. "Your sick you know that! Fine I'll give you my blood. Whatever you want just give me the water!" He pulled out a blade from his pocket,  grabbed my hand, and with no warning sliced it open and squeezed as hard as he could. I cried in pain. As soon as he dropped it I yelled for him to give me what he promised, and he laughed, gave it to me and I ran away.
"Jackson I'm here! I found some!" I cried. How am I supposed to know what to do? I'm pretty sure there's no Healing People for Dummies book around. As Jackson began to speak, I could see the agony in his eyes. "Amy, I'm going to walk you through this ok-" he had to pause to catch his breath, "c- can you rip a piece of my shirt off?" I looked at him confused, but did what he said. After I ripped a part of his sleeve, I looked at him, waiting for the next step. "Ok, good. Now put it in my mouth, cause this is gonna hurt like hell." I sighed at the thought of doing anything to hurt Jackson, but put the cloth in his mouth. After I did that, he grabbed the cup of water, and poured it into my hand. What happened next, I still can't even believe. As he poured it, it began to collect in the form of a circle, causing me to hold a ball of water in my freaking hand. I just stared at it, not knowing what to do, or how this is possible. Jackson then called my name as to say, hey there, dying over here. When I looked at him, he took my hand in his, and placed it over his wound. The feeling I felt in that moment is indescribable. It was like a part of me was going into him. I couldn't bear to watch, as Jackson tried to scream in agony, but couldn't because of the gag. Finally, after what felt like forever, his breathing calmed down, and he took my hand off.
When I looked down at his wound, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was gone! I did that? How? I focused my attention on him, wondering how he was doing.
"Jackson? Are you ok?" I asked.
He slowly opened his eyes, "Ya, 'm good"
I gave him a minute to regain what strength he had, and then I helped him up.
"Ameli- Amy, thank you." He said looking at me deep into my eyes.
I just smiled and turned away to hide the blood pooling in my cheeks.
"What is happening out here?" I asked, remembering what Jackson had said about being under attack.
"There are these things called opalls, they broke through our barriers and are killing as many of us as they can find." He answered sadly.
"But if they're killing everyone, why are we just standing here?" I asked worriedly.
He sat there for a minute, seeming like he was in a daze, but then answered, "Being the leader of the tribe, I am able to make it that they can't see me."
"And what about me??" I asked worriedly.
"I can choose one person to protect, so I am protecting you. I am the only one who can see you." He replied calmly.
"Oh." Is all I could say.
As we were walking toward the main building, I started thinking about the letters that I was receiving and decided to ask Jackson about them.
"Hey, can I ask you a question?"
"Sure, anything." He said sweetly.
"In the past week, I have recieved two notes that just don't make sense." I started to pull them out of my pocket, "Do you know what these mean?"
Jackson studied the notes, looking worried and confused. Suddenly his face dropped, and he looked at me with terror on his face.
