History of this world is told through the story, in case of some points being uncleared feel free to ask, I will answer them unless they're suppose to be explained later on in the story. Don't want to spoil the story if that'd be the case.

Fair warning when it comes to this story, futanari ( obviously ), mentions of genocide, sex, pregnancy, fighting, blood and some dark moments here and there.

Legends and myths, often times hold a seed of truth within them. Such was the case with legends about monstrous entities with general body of human but many diffrent additions belonging to animals or even demons or angels.

In times long forgotten when gods created this world, from their energies aside from many diffrent types of humans came monsters.

For longest time monsters were ruthless beasts that used to slaughter humans or use them as slaves, humans being united in their fear against monsters that resmebled their worst nightmares and reflacted their fears, always being led by a terrifying Demon Lord!

That is until one day another Demon Lord took control, the Succubus, with a powerful magic and control over the monsters, it turned them from bloodthirsty beasts who would slaughter all into monster girls who were thirsty but... in a diffrent way.

Sadly, as coexistance became more and more possible the two Gods left this world, cursing a woman with immortality and killing off most of humankind, the monster kind was also reached. Villages and cities, desolated, settled by true beasts, those who rejected the Demon Lord's command, and creatures of Grimm.

Humans believed it to be monster's doing and declared war, all human tribes moving in to kill the suffering monster-folk, bring them to the very edge of extinction... Beasts and Grimm didn't hold back on the remnants and that's where (Y/N) comes in...

At the time of those events she was but a freshly hatched Echidna, her mother in fear of humans and beasts locked her away in a temple, while pulling away any attention from the place. Hoping to save at least her only daughter after witnessing the death of her entire family.

(Y/N) lived in the temple caves, having just some light flickering in through the cracks in some places, living off of fresh stream water and feasting of Corruption fruits. She understood what happened but she could do nothing... Forgotten... Stuck in the temple until the end of times... Or so it would seem.

Beacon Tower

It was time for first year's expedition. It was a simple exercise that Ozpin came up with while wanting to test the survival skills of his newest students. Of course, the exercise itself is dependent on each student's skill they were watched at all time and had a camp together.

This time around he got a message from Mage's Association, the only group of people still capable of magecraft after Gods left this world, that request some of their students to take part as well, seeing as they will be taking place in controlled location with ancient ruins that they will have to study.

It was a boon for him, having favours with such influential people would help in his plans and he'd gladly take part in research himself for... known, very Grimm reasons.

Team RWBY were sitting in their dorm along with JNPR while checking the exercise plans.

Weiss : Hmm, this will be an examination of our cooperation and survival skill. We're suppose join in with another team and everyone should have a dedicated task to follow. Each person will be evaluated individually but our teamwork will also be taken into account when given final score.

Ruby : I say we team up!

Jane : I second that!

Yang : Well, leaders agree why shouldn't we? Besides we're friends!

Nora : Aww yeah! We'll break others' legs so that we'll get the best note!

Rea : ...I don't think that's how it works...

Pyrrha : Besides we'll also be assigned somebody from Mage's Association.

Nora : Maybe they'll be capable of making magical pancakes!

Blake : I doubt they'd use magic like that but maybe they'll have an amazing cook.

Weiss : We'll be going to Shatterheart Island...

Ruby : Why that name?

Weiss : Well, by old legend this is the island where the 'last of the monster kind' lived before they died. Probably some mix up in translation and it was suppose to be just faunus.

Ruby : Ohhhh~! Well, how about we stay a bit longer making plans?!

Jane : I just hope I won't be catapulted again...

Weiss : And I say we should go to bed, we have to get up early to prepare for tomorrow!

Yang : You're no fun!

Weiss : Go to bed! I don't want to hear your snoring entire way there!

While Yang and Weiss were busy arguing, Ruby and Blake said goodbyes to team JNPR and went to bed already. Ironically the person who called out to go to bed was the last on in...

The next morning entire Beacon was buzzing like a bee hive, with first years groups teaming up last minute, preparing the last of supplies and dropping by cantina to swipe some last minute food and prepare some for later. The rest of team R_BY and JNPR were grateful at the moment that Weiss actually forced them to prepare everything yesterday...

After a quick speech by Ozpin - and a VERY meaningful glare by Glynda, especially at all known troublemakers - they were off. Too bad for Weiss and Blake, Yang was snoring all the way there while Ruby and Jane were busy playing, with Pyrrha supporting the blond knight. Rea was being assaulted by Nora about pancakes.

Ruby : Guys look!

Little Red called out to her friends while looking out the window along with quite a large collection of other people. Outside the window they could see a beautiful, wild island with old and broken down building with a large central temple resembling a ziggurat.

Yang : *Whistle* That's quite the sight.

Wiess : I would love to see it in all of it's glory.

Suddenly Glynda's hologram appeared, facing her students.

Glynda : We're approaching the island, prepare to leave and exit the bullhead in orderly fashion. Tardiness will be punished.

Just then Jane runs past everyone to the nearest trashcan and empties her stomache.

Yang : Once again, sights ain't for everyone...

Going forward a bit and Beacon students leave their rides, with Jane at the front, running out and instantly heading for the bushes. Pyrrha and Ruby went to her to try to sooth her while the rest stood to the side talking and waiting. Just as Jane was done Glynda started calling out teams.

Glynda : Team RWBY and JNPR, step forward. You'll be assigned your Mage teammates. Rin Tohsaka and Shirone Emiya, join your new teammates until the end of expedition.

Rin : Great, teamed up with a baby girls, bimbos and blondes...

Yang : Hey!

Rin : Well, too bad you're in two categories!

Yang : I'm caving her skull in!

Shirone : Please stop! Rin, stop, no wonder you have no friends!

They all started to snicker.

Rin : I have friends!

Shirone : Not counting me, Archer and Saber. I'm not going to count Luvia and her Servant in since you're usually too busy throwing insults at each others. Also, both your sister and mine don't count.

Rin : ...Fine!

Shirone : I'm Shirone Emiya, it's nice to meet you. I hope we can be good friends. Don't mind her attitude she's actually real softy under all that sass.

Rin : Don't speak out in my place and like that!

Ruby : Oh my gosh! It's so nice to meet you! We can hang out, get school supplies and talk about cool weapons!

Weiss : I think I have a deja vu...

Out of nowhere two people materialised right next to them causing the two teams to gasp in surprise.

Archer : Hmm, got the place on lockdown. No other suspicious activity and lack of other masters aside from those we already know.

Saber : We should be safe for now, Master.

Ruby : Oh-oh!

She started to speed around the two surprising her and nearly earning herself a swift decapitation by Saber's hands if it wasn't for the rest who started to laugh as Little Red was circling the two Servants with her eyes sparkling at the sights of their weapons.

Yang : Master?

Rin : They're our summons, binded to our mana to anchor themselves to our world. They are great figures of the ages long past who's great acts granted them access to the Throne of Heroes and being summoned by mages such as ourselves. Besides, worst case scenario I'm also a trained fighter.

Weiss : Good to know you're not a harmless princess in trouble, Tohsaka.

Rin : Schnee... What, your slave mines not giving enough profit? Decided to do some tomb raiding?

Yang : So I understand you know each other?

Weiss / Rin : Sadly yes.

Blake : Well, this is off to a good start...

Pyrrha : It won't be that bad, they're our new friends and new friendship need to... have a bit of friction before fitting.

Nora : Didn't you also have no friends whatsoever until you came to Beacon?

With emotional damage dealt, Pyrrha stood silent and Rea tried to somehow help the poor, world's best fighter recover.

Jane : It's nice to meet you two! Jane Arc - short, sweet, boys love it!

Archer : I doubt it.

Shirone : One of the Servants we know it named Jeanne Arc.

Jane : Cool, maybe she's one of my ancestors!

Archer : Looking at you I'd wonder what went wrong during the generations and probably even ashamed of starting a family line if you're the outcome.

Emotional damage number two. The weakest and strongest link is down.

Saber : What am I suppose to do with this one?

Artoria said holding Ruby by the back of her cape and she was smiling sheepishly.

Shirone : Put her down, she's out ally and she seems to be really keen on weapons.

Ruby : That's an amazing sword, not a single thing wrong from just looking maybe if I could-

Saber : You cannot hold my weapon.

Ruby : *Sad Ruby noises*

Blake : Hate to stop all the fun you seem to be having but other teams are already on the move. We should go and find a camping spot.

Archer : Finally someone with priorities. I found a nice spot near the temple ruins. Sheltered from elements with good visibilty so nobody can sneak up on us.

Rin : Lead the way, Satan.

Archer : Don't call me that!

And off they go, with Nora carrying shellshocked Pyrrha and Jane to the camp. The walk there was... 'very' enthusiastic, because even Grimm decided to keep away from the group of the weird people who constantly argue, courtesy of Rin, Weiss and Yang.

Archer suddenly raised her hand, stopping the group before listening in.

Ruby : What's happening?

Archer : It seems we may have come company.

Rin : You said the place you've found was well hidden and protected.

Archer : Yes, but it's still a bit away, our company is closer. I'll go ahead.

With that she disappeared but young huntresses looked at each other before pulling out their weapons.

Rin : What are you doing?

Ruby : Let's go see ourselves!

Rin : She said to wait for her to scout, we don't know what she sensed.

Saber : Being cautious is the best plan of action when facing unknown.

Shirone : Umm... There are three missing.

Pyrrha : Nora and Rin?

Blake : Yang's gone.

Weiss / Rin : Of course she had to go!

Ruby : Are you sure you're not friends?

Weiss / Rin : NO!

Little Red was blown away by simultaneous yell. Pyrrha and Jane ran off to where their teammates ran off to and the rest quickly followed. Thankfully they didn't run far as they were watching from the bushes with the angry Archer standing right next to them.

Out in the small clearing with several smaller ruins was a group of four humans and... one floating fairy-like creature?

Lisa : We should be nearby, darlings~

Mona : I hope we will find something that could actually be sold for some Mora...

Paimon : Well Paimon thinks it's time to eat~!

Lumine : We just ate.

Paimon : We ate lunch but what about dessert!

Amber : No worries and take your time! With me here we won't be surprised and I'll protect you all!

Rin : Hey don't touch that!

Rin ran out of the bushes straight at the Big Sister Witch who heard rumbling and turned. What Rin didn't expect was that Lisa had far more stable stance than it would appear which only resulted with the tsundere mage to run face-first into the librarian's chest.

Archer : Rin!

Amber : Eeep! Enemies!

Paimon : So much for vigilance...

Lisa : Ara~Ara~ Come to Big Sis~!

With Rin's, ekhm, 'cage' locked around her and preventing her from pulling away the rest stormed the clearing.

Lumine : Weren't you suppose to make sure we won't be ambushed?

Archer : Release my Master, right now!

Yang : Finally, I was getting boring without punching anyone!

Saber : Keep behind me Master.

Amber : Very well! You will face Outrider of the Knight of Favonius, just don't cry when we're through with you!

Shirone : Stop you all, we can just talk it out.

Mona : I don't think there's a need to fight.

Rin : *Suffocating noises*

Ruby : Right! Let's talk!

Weiss : You're far from Mondstadt.

Archer : We can talk but release my Master first, as much as she's annoying I need here to stay in this world.

Lisa let go of Rin causing her to struggle to stand up straight at first, before getting herself back together and glaring at the Librarian.

Rin : What's with trying to suffocate me, you bimbo witch!

Lisa : You were the one who wanted to give me a hug, Dearie~

Rin : Archer, destroy her!

Archer : I think that's enough.

Rin : By my command seal, I order you Satan-

Archer : *Slaps his hand against her mouth* Yeah, that's enough. Don't call me Satan and don't waste precious command seals on such trivial things!

Lumine : Let's start by introducing ourselves. I am Lumine, the woman who had your friend nearly suffocated is Lisa.

Lisa : It's nice to meet you, my little darlings~

Jane : She gives me all the wrong vibes...

Lumine : Amber is Outlander for the Knight of Favonius.

Amber : Hello! I'll still keep my eye on you!

Lumine : And this is Mona, our astrologist.

Mona : Hello, maybe you'd like for me to read your future?

Nora : Can you read how many legs I'm gonna break?!

Rea : Don't mind her, she just likes... breaking people.

Paimon : Paimon is Paimon!

Lumine : She's our emergency food.

Paimon : Paimon is NOT food!

Lumine : Right, she's our cute mascot.

Paimon : Paimon finds it slightly acceptable.

Ruby : Oh! You're just so cute!

Ruby snatched Paimon from the air and started to hug her as she tried to break from Little Reaper's grasp. She called out for help... But no one came.

Weiss : Seeing as our dolt of a leader is too bust getting excited over your mascot allow me to introduce myself. I am Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company. This dolt's name is Ruby Rose and she's the leader of team RWBY.

Yang : I'm Yang Xiao Long, it's yangtastic to meet you!

Everyone groaned.

Yang : Tough crowd.

Blake : Blake Belladonna.

Jane : Hello I'm Jane Arc, leader of team JNPR.

Nora : I'm Nora! I hope we can break legs together!

Rea : Lee Rea, don't mind Nora, she's just excited to meet so many new people.

Pyrrha : Hello~! I'm Pyrrha Nikos, it's so nice to meet you. I hope we can be friends.

Shirone : I'm Shirone Emiya, it's nice to meet you. This is my Servant, Saber. The two who are arguing at the moment are Rin Tohsaka and her Servant, Archer.

Weiss : What are you doing so far away from Mondstadt?

Lisa : We are currently investigating those ruins hoping to shed some lights on many legends concerning this part of the region. Mostly about it's ancient civilization of monsters.

Ruby : Wow, monster civilization?

Paimon : Let Paimon go!

Lisa : Yes, along with Mona who decided to be my little assistent, she helped out with research~

Rin : Hmph, our goal is similiar.

Yang : We're here just for the survival camping but maybe we can help each other out?

Lisa : You wish to be my little helpers as well~?

Archer : For now we should head to our campsite, prepare for night and secure the perimeter. Follow me.

With addition of another five travelers they've reached a clearing with ruins surrounding it and a cliff-like structure that provide the cover over head that protected from rain. They started to set up their camp until Yang started to tall puns again, smirking at all the groaning she was hearing.

She leaned against a ruin that was once a temple, just for it to suddenly rumbled and fall over.

Weiss : We just came here Yang and you've already managed to destroy a piece of ancient architecture that has thousands of years of history!

Rin : Ahhh! My research!

Yang : Guys?

Lisa : Oh my~

Weiss : What now?!

Yang : There's a passage here...

Ruby : No way! You found a secret entrance!

Amber : I could as well! If I leaned against that wall...

Paimon : Paimon doesn't like creepy, dark tunnels...

Ruby : Do you think what I think?!

Shirone : Not to mess with your fun of guessing game but Rin's already on her way down.

Lisa : Let's go as well, my little darlings~

Getting as many sources of light they've found themselves in a darkness of the tunnels, it seemed like a central chamber that connected all of them. With at least a dozen other tunnels  that probably who branched out furth down the road.

And like in any proper expedition / horror scenario they've all split up into groups to go down as many tunnels as possible.

The group consisting of Ruby, Lumine, Shirone and Saber seemed to have only one corridor that despite many twists and turns never split into another. They've noticed light at the end of the corridor and sneaked over to look from behind the cover.

They've been met with a sight of a giant chamber with small fruit-bearing trees in it. There was a small lake in the middle with a tiny island in the middle which had a large rock at the center of it. Around and at the top of the said rock a creature was resting.

Just then Ruby kicked a small rock and creature instantly raised from it's position, flickering it's tongue...

And looking in their direction...

Trivia :

- At the beginning it was suppose to be Akame ga Kill instead of Fate... Maybe later we'll meet those.

- The picture is in fact a basilisk not an echidna but echidna for the most part is just lamia with purple skin so it's more intersting.

- I didn't know if I should go with Emiya or Luvia but thought about countering Rin's attitude with someone nice since we already have Weiss here.
