|Third Person POV|

Sonic was putting on the crop top black shirt with a hood, now that it was finally time to switch Shadic over to formula, just leaving the natural milk as a back up option in case the newborn was allergic to the formula, he slips his arm through the sleeves of his jacket pulling the back hood out from zipping up the jacket and fixing his white fingerless gloves, and slipping on his iconic shoes. He still wasn't stable enough to leave the medical center, since the color hadn't really reach turned to his face, but he was stable enough to at least try to stand without collapsing onto the floor, Shadic was sitting up in the bassinet watching Sonic, Maria holding onto Shadow's leg as she watched. Shadow just there to help him out if he does feel faint.

"Okay..." Sonic said to himself quietly he slides himself off of the edge of the bed he feet touched the floor there was a sudden rush of blood to his legs making them shake a little, he body feels heavy to him very heavy. Before he could collapses to the hard floor beneath him, he felt something warm stop him from hitting the floor. "I got you...don't worry Sonic." Shadow said to Sonic, the blue hedgehog only blinks as his vision was blurry and the world started to spin. "Is it...just me...or is the world spinning..." he asked, Shadow only blinks before he felt Sonic's weight being forced onto him, and when the ebony hedgehog got the feeling of Sonic's body he is light, very light to the point that he could just blow away in the wind. A growl escapes his lips, One thing at a time is how this normally went.

"Is Mommy...okay?" Maria asked her ears pinned to her head. Shadow just pets her head "Yes, he just needs to eat something then he'll be back to his old self." He tells her picking Sonic up bridal style and laying him back on the bed after slipping his shoes off and placing them by the door. He goes into the back that he brought with him and pulled a container of food that he got from Amy, he just knew that Sonic was gonna need something to eat now that he didn't have the IV in his hand, he puts the container on the table. "Mommy's not gonna die...right?" Maria asked Shadow a small whimper escaping her throat, Shadow picks her up. "Of course not...he just needs to keep up with his health..." Shadow tells "and you and I are gonna do our best to make sure that he keeps up with it."

"Yeah!" Maria cheered her tail wagging, she purrs.

"Chow Chow!" Jazz chimes in, Shadic didn't really know what was going on but he wanted to be included so he just squeaked in response, which only made Shadow rub his head with a smile on his muzzle. The newborn purrs softly. The metal door opens.

"Maria!" Skylar said running over to over. "Skylar!" Maria said jumping out of Shadow's arms and hugging her best friend.

"Hey Shadow." Tails said walking into the room, Shadic holds his arms out whimpering wanting to be held, Shadow was about to pick him up before Scourge did so, the ebony hedgehog didn't really like Sonic's twin brother, after all with him working for G.U.N he's aware of the criminal activity that the green hedgehog gets into, Shadic looks up at Scourge he kind of looked his Mother, he didn't know how to feel. "Scourge..."

"Stripes..." Scourge said pulling Shadic over to his side.

"Come on you two...nows not the time to fight." Tails said, to the two male hedgehogs.

"Yeah Stripes." Scourge smirks at Shadow before turning his attention to Shadic and just holds him up to his face, the newborn only purrs his tail wagging, Scourge chuckles.

"Uncle Scourge!" Maria said running over to hug Scourge's leg, "Hey Maria." He said to the female hedgehog rubbing her head.

"So?" Tails said to Shadow motioning to Sonic, who was still unconscious, Jazz was just laying on the blue hedgehog's head awake she was just concerned for the hedgehog.

"He just fainted again," Shadow said he folded his arms and shakes his head.

"I'm starting to get worried about him..." Tails said as his ears flattened to his head. Skylar had gone over to Sonic his ears pinned to his head, he doesn't understand either.

"You don't think, it has something to do with stress?" Scourge asked, he was just letting Shadic hold his shades, since it really wasn't a choking hazard and he had a back up pair anyways if those one got broken, or lost.

"Well, after Metal's attack, I can only assume...but I'm kind debating on it possibly being the time that he was alone, with Maria and Shaundre, that just added on the stress." Tails said putting a hand on his chin to think "I know...I'm no doctor, so this could just something else."

Shadow only lets out a sigh, through his nose, he could always just have the Doctor do a quick check up on Sonic, probably when he's unconscious, cause of his fears of being around Medical Staff alone. He picks up Skylar cause he was asking for attention. "Nice to see you to Skylar." Shadow said to the kitsune, who only smiled at Shadow.

The rest of the day was normal, Tails said his goodbye to the two hedgehogs as he took his son out of room. "I hope Uncle Sonic...gets better, Daddy..." Skylar said to Tails taking his hand. "I hope so to Sky...I hope so too." He responded.

"So? Mobius." Shadow said folding his arms looking at the green hedgehog, Scourge knows that Shadow didn't like him, after all the two ran each other when he was on the run from the likes of cops, and G.U.N, and with the ebony hedgehog being, his twin brother's husband, it made reunions look a bit awkward, he lets out a sigh. "Definitely not any better..." the green hedgehog responded, Maria chuckles as she was wearing Scourge's jacket that was big on her but she tries to mimic him, but she was a little to cute then intimidating. Without His jacket on there was a lot of scars on his arms from the fighting that happens on Mobius. "Nothing but a wasteland with robot guards roaming the streets, so far the only safe place...for use, was that secret ungrounded base..." Scourge admits.

"At least it's still safe enough for you I guess." Shadow responded, Shadic was sucking of the metal part of Scourge's jackets as he was just sitting in Maria's lap, who was just trying to play with him, the best that she could, she knows that he was only a week old, she lays down on the floor to look at Shadic, the newborn gently smacks her face nuzzling her and purring, Maria only kisses his head nuzzling back.

"You got some interesting kids..." Scourge said watching the two. He gets up from his seat "Alright Maria I'm gonna need my jacket back..." he said to the small hedgehog.

"Aww..." Maria said as she lets Scourge have his jacket back. "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll grow into it." He smirks at her kneel down to her level, Shadic was just sitting on the floor, "But I did get you something that I found, on Mobius." Maria's eyes sparkled her tail wagging, "Really!?" Scourge only nodded, before placing a necklace around her neck. "Better take good care of that." Maria smiled and looked at golden necklace that had a star charm on it. She just smiles, "Thank you Uncle Scourge..." the green hedgehog only patted her head before putting his jacket on, and pulling out a pair of inhibitor rings that had some green gemstone on it, and passes them over to Shadow "You probably can find a better use for these than me...just tell Blue, that I hope get better."

Shadow takes the rings and puts them into his pockets, Shadic is a little to young for them, he picks up the newborn off of the floor, turning his attention back to Sonic, he had a lot on his mind of what could be causing this to his husband. He was just gonna have to get the Doctor to run some test him. "Stay here Maria."

"Okay Daddy." Maria said as she was just holding Jazz in her arms, she had a lot of toys to play with cause of the backpack, she brought with her. Her little MLP Rainbow Dash theme, backpack that had some clothes, some stuff animals and her favorite toys to play with, she isn't entirely stuck in the room, since Shadow takes her to the park to run and play on the equipment, it's the closest thing to fresh air that she can get. She watches Shadow leave with Shadic in his arms, she turns her attention to Sonic her ears pinned to her head, she didn't have a chaos connection with the blue hedgehog unlike she does with Shadow, unless Sonic just had a very weak chaos connection that she couldn't feel. Letting go of Jazz she walks over to Sonic's body taking a hold of his hand and closing her eyes, to focus, she didn't know what she was doing but the stripes on her arms and the rings on her hands started to glow a light purple, but it wasn't bright or anything she just opens her eyes pulling her hand away.

"Chow?..." Jazz asked, Maria only had tears in the corner of her eyes, she knows that Sonic wasn't dead, cause of the heart monitor showed that his heart was beating, she just wanted to know what's wrong. "...I just Mommy to be okay..." she whimpered as she just felt hopeless. The metal door slid open and Shadow came in with the Doctor behind him, she saw that Maria had tears in her eyes and he goes over to her. "Maria what's wrong?" He asked.

Maria sniffs "I just want Mommy back..." she whimpered, Shadow scoops her up in his other arm "I know...and he'll comeback to us." He reassures her "The nice Doctor is gonna run some test on him...so we can know what's wrong with him."

Maria buries her face into Shadow's shoulder just lets her tears fall. Shadow only nodded at the Doctor as he steps out of the room with Maria and Shadic in his arms. Maria had started to softly cry into Shadow's shoulder which made Shadic whimper and reaches over to his sister, his ears flatten. "Ssh it's okay Shadic...she's just upset about Mommy." Shadow said to the newborn who only whimper more, Maria shifts and pulls her brother into her arms "I'm sorry Shadic...I love you." She said to the newborn nuzzling him. The newborn only nuzzles back whimpering. Shadow places Maria down on the bench so he can sit down. Maria just cuddles up to Shadow's side softly crying holding her brother nuzzling her cheek on his forehead. It wasn't long before the Doctor came out of the room, to Talk to Shadow.

"Well?" Shadow said Maria had stopped crying at this point she didn't want to upset the newborn.

"He looks completely healthy, this is a mystery to me." The Doctor honesty said to Shadow. Shadow only grumbles under his breath, he was at a lost at this point. "Okay...thanks" The Doctor only nodded as he walked away. Shadow opens door to walk into the room, he just puts Shadic into the bassinet giving him a stuff toy. He sat down on the chair taking a hold of Sonic's hand. After putting Maria onto the bed, she sniffs and cuddles up to Sonic. Shadow noticed that IV bag.

Sonic squeezes Shadow's hand lightly feeling that someone was holding his hand, the ebony hedgehog only pulls Sonic's hand close to his muzzle to give it a kiss, "I will find out what's wrong with you...Sonic, I promise." He said.

|Tails' POV|

I got the text from Shadow, my ears only pinned to my head, I don't want to think about losing my best friend. Not when he got Shadow back, I know Shadic is only a baby but Maria...

I growl before I just kicked Metal. I can't help but to think this was my fault, and I know Manic, Sonia, Hell even Scourge feel the same way.

Everyone does, but the Doctor doesn't even know what's wrong with Sonic either, they say the he's healing, but everyone knows that he's not.

"Chao Energy..."

I turned my attention to the broken blue bag of bolts, "What did you say?" His red pinpricks turned to look up at me.

"That Second Child of his...drained him of Chaos Energy."

"How did?" I said I guess that's why Maria was so concerned about Sonic, and why Shadow said to me that he looked weaker than before, if this is true then I'm gonna have to get Knuckles to see if he can tell, or Sc-

"Hey Miles I-" speak of the devil.

"Scourge!!" He flinched when I raised my voice at him, I guess he wasn't expecting my excitement, Metal had already shifted his gazes over to the green hedgehog, not like he could do anything Shadow completely tore him apart, leaving him with nothing but his upper body. That is being held in place by some strong chains. "I'm sorry...You have Chaos Energy right?"

"What kind of stupid question is that! Of course I fucking do, I didn't get beaten up for not absorbing energy from the Master Emerald for nothing..." He shouted at me, Well I know that I just needed to be sure. "But that's not important, I just...have a feeling that Sonic isn't gonna make it..."

"W-What?" I said I can feel my heart breaking at the tone in his voice.

"Look it's hard explain...but I just feel that little bit of energy he has left...is slowly fading" Scourge tells me.

"Green boy is right...Fox" Metal agreed.

Scourge only blinked when Metal spoke, I'll explain it later but first I need Knuckles to come form it, maybe we can contact Tikal...or something I'm not losing my best friend, my only Brother. I just grab a hold of Scourge's hand and rushed out of the room, after Metal of course, I know he couldn't do anything but if he's right about this being Chaos Energy then I may have an Idea to help get Sonic back to his old self, I just need to study a bit on Shadow's Inhibitor rings.

"Hey where are we going!" Scourge called out to me, I didn't respond this was important, I left a note for Fiona anyways telling I maybe late cause I'll be working on something.

"Knuckles!!" I called out. To the red echidna, who was just helping with some of the injured Mobians that were captured on Mobius and used as Slaves for Eggman's Empire...I know he had a hatred for a Life but only keeping some Mobians that support you, and treat the others like they are trash. Makes me kind of sick.

"Hey Ta-Is that Metal?"

"It's a long story...Look are you doing anything?" I still had a tight grip on Scourge who was just grumbling to himself.

"No..." Knuckles said to me, Perfect I know Shadow is gonna hate me for this but Scourge and Metal are right, than maybe just having more chaos users in the room might just be enough to keep Sonic stable enough, I just need Shadow to move him to my workshop. Metal you may not be useless after all.

"Woah Tails!!" Knuckles called out to me as I grabbed a hold of his hand...or what is his hand he's wearing boxing gloves, I guess he didn't realize how strong I have gotten over the years. "I explained everything I promise..." I tell him.

"You fucking better!" Scourge growled at me, I turned on my communicator and started to call Sonic, I know Shadow would pick up for him.

"What is it Tails?" He said to him, I can hear Maria crying in the background. She must be very confused about not being able to feel Sonic.

"Look I need you to bring Sonic to my workshop...I will explain everything I promise" I let him I can a sigh escaping his lips. "You better have a good reason..." he tells me before hanging up. If I have to I'll ask Silver to come by I only have two hands after all.

Don't worry Sonic, I'm not gonna let you go so soon. Maybe I can put those Silver Inhibitor Rings to good use.
