Tails and Knuckles make there way down the dark corridor, in silence, if anything the fox unaware of how this was actually gonna work, since he didn't know this would actually help keep the hedgehog from killing himself internally cause of all the negativity he was storing inside his body, and the dark inhibitor rings could they really get rid of that negativity energy, he could be sure but he as to at least try after all Sonic has a husband and two kids that love him to death. Tails blinks when there was a small light at the end of the corridor that glow must be the emeralds.

In the opening was an open circle like structure, that had the seven gemstone around a much bigger gem. These are the chaos emeralds and master emerald. "Okay...contacting Tikal can't be that hard..." Tails asked as Knuckles just shrugged, he didn't the answer to that, after all that mobian appears when they want to or if needed. There was a bring glow from the master emerald, making both males cover their eyes with their arms before the light slowly dims and standing in front of the emeralds was a light orange echidna, Tails and Knuckles lower their arms and their eyes widen at the sight of the female echidna who just smile and waves.

"You'd showed up!" Tails said running over to the female Knuckles following him. "We could really use your help Tikal..." the red echidna said.

"It's about Sonic..."

Tails flatten his ears as he just nodded, he felt like failure that he didn't know about this sooner, if anything he was busy with his own problems and helping G.U.N with making the Ark the so call perfect Utopia, for both humans and Mobains, and taking care of his own kid. He does do his best with trying to keep up with Sonic, check up on him, but the only problem he has with his adopted brother was the fact that he doesn't ask for help as much, the azure hedgehog always thinks he can do things himself and if not he'll push himself to prove to others that he can. "Yes...I thought that maybe you could help, us...his dark form is slowly killing him." He admits showing the inhibitor rings to Tikal.

"Tails thinks you could maybe do something with these inhibitors rings...like how Shadow's keep him from going overboard with his chaos abilities, and Maria..." Knuckles said.

Tikal takes the inhibitor rings looking them over.

"Well?"

"It's gonna be complicated..." She said as she gets onto the Master Emerald before sitting down on her knees the rings on the emerald, closing her eyes before the seven chaos emeralds started to glow, Tails and Knuckles shield their eyes from the bright light that only got brighter. Before the light dims and disappears "It's hard to determined...but I would you two to bring Sonic here...if this Dark Form, of his is really killing him...then it has to be released."

"Are YOU CRAZY!!" Tails shouted. "I'm sorry for yelling...but that version of Sonic...literally has no boundaries, when it comes to getting revenge."

"That's not I meant by releasing it...I need him here so I can get rid of that energy." She said turning to emeralds, she looks down removing negative energy from a chaos user is a painful thing and depends on how much negativity the have consumed, but from what she felt and the people on the Ark...this has to be done if, the Hero of Mobius gonna have a calm and peaceful life, she only has on request while the process is taking place. "You just have to do one thing for me..."

"And that is?" Tails asked, a bit concerned by Tikal's voice.

"No matter what happens...you must not interfere, I know how much Shadow cares about him...and his twin brother Scourge, but you have to keep from interfering."

Knuckles looks down before clutching his fist, nodding "You can count on it...Tikal, if this is the only way then I'll be sure to have Sally, to put on the artificial power supply." He turns to Tails, he didn't really have a choice but to except Tikal's request at this rate both him and Tails are at a lost on how to help the blue hedgehog, if this is the doing of negative energy than this just means that this was probably the only way in saving Sonic, and bringing him back to being his normal self.

"We don't have another option do we?..." Tails asked looking up at Knuckles.

"I trust Tikal...and if she says that she remove this negativity...it's the only option we have."

Tails blinks before pulling out his phone and texting Shadow. He looks up at Knuckles "So...are you gonna bring Sonic down here ourselves or let Sha-"

Knuckles shakes his head, "We are letting Shadow come here...I have a feeling we are gonna need him..." he folds his arms looking back at Tikal. "You go...Tell Rouge to come as well, I'm gonna need help with keeping him back."

Tails let's out a shaken sigh as he turns to walk down the corridor, before braking into a sprint.

Shadow was carrying Sonic, in his arms, he didn't know what Tails meant by that he found away to help Sonic, even though he doesn't even know what's wrong with the blue hedgehog in the first place, he just looks down at Sonic who looked back up at him, giving the ebony hedgehog a comforting smile. He trusted his best friend, even though he was afraid to admit the truth as what is really hurting him, he didn't need his friends and family to worry about him as much as he was. He just lets out a sigh before he hear the familiar propeller sound come running out, the door soon opened and Tails blinked. "Oh, well Knuckles is further down, he can tell you everything, I just need to get Rouge." He said running off to find the white fruit bats.

Shadow just narrows his eyes, he really needed answers, at least he had Sonia take care of the kids before assuming that Tails would need him for something, he steps into the opening before the metal door slid shut behind him, his inhibitor rings being enough light source in this dark corridor, he started walking Sonic still in his arms, he saw the glowing of what he can presume to be the chaos emeralds, he stops in his tracks when he saw Knuckles talking to Tikal.

"Shadow!" Knuckles said as he goes over to the ebony hedgehog.

"Explain..." Shadow growled at the red echidna.

"Shadow...Sonic's Dark Form is what's making him weak...so I asked Tails and Knuckles to bring Sonic to me, but I guess Knuckles had the feeling that you'd might be needed." Tikal explained walking up to Shadow.

"Like hell I'll let you touch him..." Shadow growled, Sonic squeaks when felt Shadow's grip tighten around him.

"Shadow..." A female voice called out a hand was placed on his shoulder, "Shadow...I know you care about him, if Tikal says this is the only way to help him, then we have to at least let her do it..." Rouge said to the ebony hedgehog.

Shadow looked over at her, before down at Sonic, he didn't know what would happen, but he just didn't want to lose another person that meant so much to him, but seeing how weak, and pale Sonic was he didn't have much of a choice. If Tails said that the blue hedgehog's dark form was what's killing him and the positivity that was given to him last night wasn't enough than. "Just don't make me regret this..." he said passing the blue hedgehog over to the female echidna who held Sonic in her arms. She almost dropped him sensing the negative energy he was storing deep inside, he was really keeping his dark form from coming.

Was he afraid of hurting someone?
Or was he afraid of hurting those that closest to him?

"Okay Sonic...this might hurt..." Tikal said placing the blue hedgehog onto the master emerald.

Sonic blinks he was confused by what she meant by this was gonna hurt.

"You might want to hold him back..." Tikal tells Knuckles and Tails, who nodded and both grab ahold of each of Shadow's arms. Shadow just narrows his eyes confused with the two males, but before he could protest.

"Dear Chaos...I ask of your request..." Tikal started as the chaos emeralds started to glow. "The Hero of Mobius...and one of five chaos users...need your help." She raises her arms and the master emerald started glow. Sonic who was laying on top of the Master Emerald was a bit confused, before he felt a strong surge pain shot through his body and he clinched his hands into a fist squeezing his eyes shut. The Chaos Emeralds turn black with negativity as Tikal held her hands out, sparks started to come off of the emerald, black sparks.

"Ahh...S-Stop!!" Sonic screams out as his fur started to turn into a dark shade of blue and his ears pinned as black energy like tentacles held him in place onto of the Master Emerald, he greeted his teeth, Tails grunted as he tightens his grip on Shadow, Knuckles didn't seem like he was struggling at all, Rouge noticed Tails was struggling and helps the fox out, Shadow pulls trying to get out of their grips, growling he couldn't handle hearing his husband scream out in agony, do to the negative energy that Sonic had stored inside but was being drained out of his of his he had started to bleed out of his mouth, as he started to tear up. "AHH!!....IT HURT!!" Sonic screamed out the emeralds.

"Let go of me!" Shadow growled "Can't you see, he's hurting!!" He shouted.

"I know...but...this just something that has to be done!" Tails shouted back, he can clearly see Shadow start to have tears in his eyes.

"Sonic...you have to release this energy...it's clearly hurting you..." Tikal said to the blue hedgehog.

"I'd...rather..." Sonic struggles on his words "It hurt me...than others." He admits. Tikal just narrows her eyes before she flinches when a spark shot at her, and the emeralds started to float out of their holders and circle around the blue hedgehog, this was a normal thing but this is just something that's happening, she looked down at the blue hedgehog who was bleeding more out of his mouth, his quills completely up turned. "I'm sorry...Sonic..." she said. "Master Emerald hear my plead...RELEASE THIS NEGATIVITY FROM OUR HERO!!" She shouted. The Master Emerald sparked before it two turned dark making the seven emeralds turn black, before a huge spark of purple electricity shot out of the emeralds and straight into Sonic, making the blue hedgehog scream out in agony. Shadow started to fight back against Knuckles, Tails, and Rouge who only tighten their grip on the ebony hedgehog, who at this point had tears streaming down from the corner of his eyes.

"AHHH!!!" Sonic screamed before he just couldn't handle it anymore, and just lets out whatever he keeping inside, the emeralds sparked as the dark energy escapes out of the blue hedgehog, the emerald glowing brightly, before everything was quiet. The emeralds circling around the blue hedgehog, before the emerald were forced back into their holders and Sonic dropped back on top of the Master emerald on his stomach.

"Is it over..." Tails asked, Tikal only shakes her head, as she closes her eyes.

Sonic's hands clinched shut before his fur turned completely black and he quills turned upwards the emeralds turning glowing a black color and the blue hedgehog growled opening his eyes they were completely milky white and with a blink of an eye, he was being held in place by the Master Emerald, this was Sonic's Dark Form, the very being that was killing the blue hedgehog.

"Sonic?" Shadow asked

"That's not Sonic...and it's just as I feared it be..."

"What do you mean?"

"The negativity...had completely consumed Sonic, or what was left of his positivity..." Tikal explained. Sonic growls and pulls on the chains that was keeping him from attacking the female echidna.

"Then how do we get Sonic back?..."

"Sonic if you in there give us a sign?" Tikal said, for brief second Sonic's eyes returned, he started to cough up blood, which only made, Tails and Shadow pin there ears down. Before Sonic's eyes glaze back over to be milking white.

"There's still a chances..." Tikal said pulling something out of her pocket. Sonic was already completely weak because of the Master Emerald, but the thing she tell Tails, and Knuckles what the part where she literally had to kill the blue hedgehog. "NO!!" Shadow called out, Rouge, Tails, and Knuckle's eyes widen at the sudden sound of someone being completely impaled the Dark Form, had faded from Sonic's body and icicle was impaled into his chest where his heart would be the blue hedgehog started to bleed from the mouth as his eyes were widen before the lights in his eyes slowly disappeared the icicle was ripped out of the blue hedgehog's body that just collapsed to the master emerald lifeless.

"You didn't tell us this was how you'll get ri-"

"If I did you'd agreed..."

Knuckles only blinks before looking away, Tikal was right, if they did know what was gonna happen when the blue hedgehog, turned into his dark form. The Emeralds had a dim glow to them same with the master emerald, before they started to glow brightly again and were back to the normal color, Tikal let's out a sigh of relief. The next step was to revive the hedgehog, after the negativity had been vanquished the positivity can come back, Knuckles let go of Shadow, who just shoved Tails and Rouge off of him and he jogged over to the blue hedgehog, Tikal moved out of the way.

"S-Sonic..." Shadow said his voice was shaken as he picked up the blue hedgehog, his body was cold tears started to fall from the ebony hedgehog's eyes onto Sonic's lifeless body as he just brings the hedgehog close to his chest, "P-please...you can't be gone..." he sniffed but he knew he was he just didn't want to believe it cause, he didn't want think he lost someone that he promised to protect, and that meant the world to him more than anything, their was footsteps coming into chamber.

"What is g-" Aleena started before seeing Tikal and Shadow hugging Sonic's body crying softly.

"It's a long story..." Tails said trying not to cry himself.

The emeralds started to glow brightly in response of the positivity that was on the air, as more of Sonic's friends and family joined to see what was going on.

Sally hugged Manic covering her mouth to stop herself from muttering Sonic's name.

Sonia was holding Silver tightly beginning to cry softly into the white hedgehog, Knuckles removes his hat from his head and holds it to his chest in respect.

The wound started to heal do to the emeralds reacting to the positivity, same with the stitches that was on Sonic's arms from him cutting himself. "S-Shadow?" Sonic mutters.

"Sonic!" Everyone said. The blue hedgehog didn't have any memory of what happened to him, or how he got here in the chamber where the emeralds were being held, but he was feeling better now that the negativity was gone. The blue hedgehog looked around, and saw that he was in the chamber where the chaos emeralds were bing held in, he knew the location of course after all G.U.N told him first after they gathered all the chaos emeralds, but he trusted his parents to keep the chamber a secret, that wasn't a secret anymore.

"Thank Chao...your okay." Shadow said pulling Sonic closer to his chest, tears still in his eyes, the thought of losing someone else, someone that was like his first friend, pains him more than anything. Sonic didn't know what this feeling was but it was warm and comforting he just nuzzles his muzzle into Shadow's neck as he felt tears forming in his eyes as well, these were tears of pure happiness, he hadn't been able to feel this way since he got to Ark...the only time he had tears like this was when Shadic was born, and finally having his husband back.

"What the hell? Tikal..." Tails growled.

"To vanquish the darkness, you need to kill the host...I knew he was gonna come back...after all he's surrounded by people that care about him." Tikal explained, she turns her attention back to the couple, "As for the inhibitor rings...they are what's keeping that negativity at bay...so their is a slight chance of that Sonic coming back."

"What do we do when it does?" Aleena asked.

"I'm sure you guys can figure it how, after all every single one of you...are the reason why Dark Sonic didn't show himself until now." Tikal said as she walks over to the Master emerald, it was time for her to go, though if she's needed she will return, after everything had happened back on mobius, it wasn't a surprised that Sonic just absorb all those negative thoughts, he cared a lot others than himself that if someone was upset he'd do his best to help them out, and in this case even though he was pregnant, he still went out to helped people, not knowing that he caused himself to be a major host of nothing but negativity. She lets the bright light consume her before she was completely gone.
