|Third Person POV|

"Mommy!" A small hedgehog shouted running over to a very pregnant blue hedgehog. Her fur is black, with a with fluffy like quills that stick out all over the place, but are mostly formed downwards that some of her quills has mixture of red and purple stripes, a fluff of quills that swoop upwards that is red, she as a peach muzzle, and underbelly that has some peach chest fluff, she has red stripes on her arms that end to the palm of her hands in a circle, that stripe ends at her elbow, she has mix matching eyes, the left being a crimson red, and the right being an emerald green. She has inhibitor rings on her wrists and ankles, and wearing a purple sleeveless shirt that had white baggy shorts that had some purple trims on the pants, a white belt that is being held together by a golden ring, purple shoes that are similar to her Mother's with a gold trim on the soul of the shoes white straps being held by golden ring.

The blue hedgehog, looked over at the small hedgehog, the hedgehog has some scars under were there use to be breast, the scars are just permanent reminder of the struggle the hedgehog when through to become a male, a silver ring on his finger. And a silver necklace around his neck that had a red symbol charm, a Symbol that meant the Ultimate Life Form. Sitting next to him was a pink hedgehog, with long quills, and bangs. A yellow crop top shirt with Jean short overalls, golden bracelets, with a golden ring on her finger, red running shoes, her emerald green eyes just watched the young hedgehog.

"What is it, Maria..." the blue hedgehog responded, to his daughter, who used her telekinesis to float into his arms. She knew her Mother couldn't really pick his up cause of his five month and two weeks pregnant belly. The light purple aura disappeared when she was into her mother's arms.

"I can see Silver training...paid off." The Pink Hedgehog said with a concern smile on her light peach muzzle.

"Thank you Auntie Amy." Maria smiled back her ears peeking up and her small tiny hedgehog tail wagging.

The blue hedgehog only lets out a small chuckle, but there was a small part of him that wished his husband was still here to see how much Maria had grown over these years. "Are you being nice to your uncle?" The blue hedgehog asked.

"Of course Mommy! Auntie Sonia, told me to come and get you" Maria said jumping out of the Sonic's arms onto the floor.

"Here Sonic...let me help you" Amy said getting up and holding her hand out to Sonic up off of the bench. The blue hedgehog had some struggle getting up but it was normal for him, he thanked Amy, heading down the many hallways of the Ark.

After Eggman had attacked, Mobians had put up a good fight against the Mad Scientist, but it wasn't enough because of a certain jackal with a glowing red gem on his chest. That slaughtered millions of Mobians the Queen and King at the time made the tough decision with having to populate up in Space in the Space Colony. G.U.N with the top best scientists had to make the Ark more compatible for both Humans and Mobians. The Ark was very technology base, with many areas for the likes of the Freedom Fighters to train. Many of the wildlife to have an open fields of trees, grass, and flowers. Sea life swimming in the many lakes of on the Ark that is always feed by the mobians, and humans, as well as beach like areas on the Ark that had a lot of oceans for the sea water sea life as well as cold climates for the other wildlife that lived in that part of Mobius. In the center of Ark was a massive gem that was giving the Ark unlimited energy, and the source of making the Ark compatible to sustain life on the huge space station, along with the seven mini emeralds.

The mental door opened opened, and a brown chipmunk with red hair, wearing a blue vest, with black shorts and matching blue boots, neon blue bracelets on her wrists and a gold ring on her finger. A dark magenta hedgehog with a light pink quills that swooped over to her face, light pink markings on the side of her eyes, her back quills are similar to her brother's Sonic, just with light pink tips, a peach muzzle, underbelly, and arms, she is wearing a black sleeveless turtleneck shirt with a heart shape hole over her chest, an off the shoulder dark red jacket with a fluffy hood, and black shorts that brought out her hourglass shaped body, white stockings that clipped to her shorts, and black runner boots, a gold ring on her finger, her blue greens turned to look at door.

"Sonic, I'm glad that you could make it, and doing so well" the Magenta hedgehog responded, walking over to the blue hedgehog. Ever since he got here to the Colony, and the lost of his husband his family and friends have been really concerned for his health and the health of the pup that he was carrying in his growing stomach.

"Are you doing okay? Sonic" The chipmunk asked the blue hedgehog, with a concern look on her face, the blue hedgehog only grabbed a hold of his arm. He didn't know how to respond to that, cause he doesn't know himself, he just felt so lonely without his husband, and he knows Maria does her best to keep him happy which always did the trick.

"I'm...Okay," He forced out with a convincing smile on his muzzle.

"Well, I called you here cause we got intel from Gadget and Scourge..." The female hedgehog said, Sonic blinks and shifted his gazes over to the two, he knew that some Mobians decided to stay on Mobius to be the Ark's eyes and ears, only the best of the fighters, the best of the spies, were required to stay behind, not that Eggman didn't have mobian followers working for him, this was just a way for Colony to keep an eye on the Evil Genus.

"Really!?" Sonic said with a small hope glowing in his eyes.

"Calm down Sonic...Mobius still isn't safe for use to go back." The Chipmunk admits, making the blue hedgehog lower his excitement. He just nodded as he listened to two what the two females talking about the state of Mobius and how terrible it looked, even from space the planet's skies were cloudy and red. At least they were able to save enough mobians and the wildlife that lived on the planet. It was something out of nightmares, or to what his husband had said something like when the planet was under attack, by the Black Arm aliens.

"I see..." Sonic said. "Thank you...for telling me Sally and Sonia" he said moving a little bit, he really couldn't stand for long because of the cramping in his legs, and back.

"Anytime Sonic..." Sonia said as she watched her brother leave the room, her ears droop to the side of her head before she turns to Sally. "I'm worried about him...Sal" she said.

"I am too...I can just see it in his face" Sally admits she only rubs her head looking out the window to the night sky, of Space. "The best thing we can do...is give him and Maria our support." Sonia lets out a sadden sigh and nodded.

The metal door to the lab opens and Sonic walked into the room, it wasn't that down and it was where he spent him time in, his room wasn't that face from the lab after all with him being pregnant, he was more of a Science Project for the Scientist who treated him with respect and not poorly. Just were curious how a pregnancy would be in space in an environment that was like the planet he came from, he comes to a stop at the glowing green chamber that had a black and red hedgehog floating in it, an oxygen mask over his dark tan muzzle, a heart monitor on the glass of the chamber that was monitoring his heart. A bunch of wires, and tubes were sticking in his body.

"Sonic?"

Sonic turns his attention to the yellowish-orangish fox that was walking up, he is much taller than the blue hedgehog. The fox was wearing a tool belt around his waist, two tails, bangs the swoop downwards. His blue eyes looking down at the blue hedgehog, a golden ring on his finger. Sonic only shifted his gaze back to the hedgehog that was floating in the chamber.

"So-"

"I miss him...Tails" Sonic finally said to the fox, who placed a hand on his shoulder.

"I know Sonic...but the Agents are doing the best they can to bring back his memories." Tails admits he felt the hedgehog start to shake and some sniffs escape the blue hedgehog's nose before he just hugs his friend and starting to just softly cry into the fox's chest, he's been keeping in those tears whenever he was around his daughter, but now that was with someone he trusted he can just let it all out. Tails pinned his ears to his head before wrapping his arms around the blue hedgehog to comfort him, he hated seeing his friend like this, it kind of broke his heart.

Sonic's grip tightens on the fox, he was getting use to the pain of his pregnancy, from the pup that was moving sometimes. It was long while before he was able to calm himself down he just thanked Tails for being a good friend and letting him have a cry session he just walked away back to his room, before Maria ran up to hug his leg. She was ready to go bed for the night. They maybe in space but do to the clocks on the Ark and the emeralds the Ark mimics Day and Night, as well as the different seasons that happen on the planet. He picks her up and waves Tails bye as the door opens and the blue hedgehog disappeared into the room.

Tails looks up at the floating hedgehog, his possession had changed, narrowing his eyes Tails walked up to get a good look at the ebony hedgehog, his eyes widen when he saw some tears in the hedgehog's closed eyes.

Sonic turns on the lights to the room, it was like a mini apartment. A living room with a flat screen TV, a comfy couch with some arm chairs, a dining area that was across from the kitchen that had a bar, black marble countertop, white cabinets, and stainless steel appliances. A fridge that was stocked up with cook meals and other foods. A pantry that filled with snacks and canned food, he just carries Maria to her room, the hallway was decorated with family photos of him, his husband and Maria, as well as baby pictures of Maria, she climbs into bed hugging her stuffed teddy bear, her room was small with a toy box, in the corner of the room. Sonic pulls the covers over her planting a small kiss on her forehead. "Goodnight Maria." He smiled

"Goodnight Mommy." She said. Sonic turns off the lights leaving the night light on for her and closing the door opened just a crack. He places a hand on his bump before sitting down on the sofa, he spent of his time sleeping there, since it was easier for him to get up and get to Maria if she needed anything, a Chao that looked like his husband floated over to nuzzle the blue hedgehog.

"Thanks Jazz..." He said to the creature giving the chao a little kiss on the forehead. Before he clutches his stomach felling a contraction, something he wasn't worried about cause it was really early for his son to be born, he watches Jazz nuzzle his bump, it was kind of comforting in a way for him.

|Sonic's POV|

I gasped awake, I was still on the sofa, but the lights were off, the only light source being the glow from the little lamp on the table next to the couch, Jazz laying on her little Chao bed that was in the corner of the room, she is still asleep.

It was that same dream I've been having, or Shadow sacrificing himself to let us get to the colony, and the image of his remains laying on the ground in his own blood his arm having been torn off of his body. I was the one to give Scourge the order to bring him back to the colony. I just couldn't live without him, my whole life I struggled with trying to find that special someone, which was why Sally and I never worked...Fiona and I didn't work, and I just knew how much Tails liked her and she agreed to give him a chance when he was eighteen. Amy knew from the beginning of course.

Vanilla did her best to calm me down that day when Scourge brought him to the Ark, but when the Commander said he knew away but it would be risky. I took the chance, but now he's stuck in that chamber to heal, and he was only getting his memories back. So he doesn't have forget about me and Maria.

I just put my hand to head, I can feel the tears forming in my eyes, I know I'm alone in this, Rouge also misses Shadow, after all the two were like family, and her seeing Shadow in the state that I did in the photo.

"I...need you so bad..." I mutter out, I can feel the pup kicking me, is still to early for him to hear me but I guess he's just awake. "Okay...Okay..." I sniffs rubbing my bump, I know when I pregnant with Maria, she just knew whenever Shadow was around, she just had that chaos connection, but she's somehow knew before me that Shadow was dead. But now she just knew he was sleeping, hearing her cry and call out to Shadow kind of just broke my heart. More than seeing Shadow's corpse.

I have faith in the Scientists, even after we those samples of Black Arms, DNA to help recreate Shadow's DNA, and Gerald Robotnik's notes we were able to recreate the body parts he was missing and reattaching his arm. I just hugged the pillow close, the couch wasn't comfortable enough for my back, unlike the bed, but it's the only place that could actually get some sleep, the bed just made me feel cold, and lonely.
