[Kumamoto POV]

As Shogun, It is my responsibility to make sure every clan is in tact. But the day I received a message, that the Rising Sun clan has been obliterated, was the day everything changed.

I went to the sight of the attack, I was overburdened with distraught. My alliance, is now in shambles. My plan to unite the clans, destroyed by this act of barbarism. I have to find out who orchestrated this attack. I went back to the Castle, to see my daughter, standing near my throne.

"Hello mother." she says to me.

"Zenji, what are you doing here?" I ask her.

"I heard about what happened, such a tragedy for the Rising Sun clan." says Zenji.

"Han Kusanagi and his family are dead! Who could do something so vile?" I say.

"Orocshon Miyaku and his branch of Hidden Lotus ninjas." says Zenji.

I furiously walk up to her and I ask her, "I put you in charge of the Hidden Lotus clan... And you let that dishonorable pest, destroy the Rising Sun? I wanted to unite the clans, to put aside the petty differences that have plagued us for so long! Why did you let him do it?"

My daughter then says, "Because mother... I ordered the attack." my face is riddled with shock from the news I have just received.

"What?!" I say with a bass in my voice.

"Do you know what you have done? Why would you do this? My own daughter?" I ask her.

"I wanted to take what was mine! I deserved to lead the alliance between the clans! But you, instead of handing the title to your own flesh and blood, you give it to an outcast from the Rising Sun to lead us. Why?!" my daughter asks me.

"Because, you were not ready to hold the title, you have defied me, dishonored me. You do not deserve the right to sit at the table, you are unworthy of the title of Shogun!" I reply to her sternfully.

Zenji then walks up to me and she says, "Well, if you can't pass your legacy down to me, I will make my own..." suddenly, Hidden Lotus ninja's break in and they begin to set my Castle ablaze.

"Destroy this palace, including my mother!" orders Zenji. The Hidden Lotus ninjas begin to attack me, but I quickly dispatch of them. As I look around for Zenji, I feel a cold stab run from behind my chest.

"Now, your failed legacy, dies with you! I now rule Japan." says Zenji, who just stabbed me in the back. Zenji kicks me down to the ground and watches, as debris from the castle fall on top of me.

"All I wanted, was to make you proud of me. Now, tonight, I have lost a mother. May you rot in the afterlife!" she says.

I barley stayed awake. I overheard Zenji talking to her ninjas, about something going down in Tokyo, but I did not get it all. I also heard Zenji utter the words, "Ako Kusanagi", That must mean that Ako is alive.

Two minutes later, I wake up, still trapped by the debris from the castle roof. Suddenly, I hear a voice in the background, calling out to me.

"Shogun Kumamoto, Shogun Kumamoto!" the voice then gets louder.

"Kai?" I think to myself.

[Kai POV]

I saw the Shogun lying in debris, I get her out and we managed to get out of the Castle before it crumbled to the ground.

"Shogun Kumamoto, are you okay?" I ask her.

"Take... me... to... Ako..." she says faintly.
I dash off with her over my shoulder, dodging debris and flames that fall from the celing. She wants to speak with a woman called Ako... I have seen her before and I know where she is, I just hope that I can get there before it is too late. I ran through the forest and I stumble upon an abandoned dojo. I just hope the last of the Rising Sun is in the mood for visitors...

[Ako POV]

Vengeance... that is all I think about. Sometimes I wonder that if I will ever find peace. I don't know, but I do know, I have a mission to carry out and I am going to see it through.

"Ako, there's someone that wants to speak with you." says Yayan.

"Not now Yashin..." I say to him.

"Ako... it's about the Shogun." says Yayan. I turn around, with a shocked look on my face. What is she doing here?

"Send her in." Two minutes later, a woman, dressed in a black and yellow armored suit, brings in a woman, who appears to be the Shogun.

"Who are you? Why did you come here?" I ask the woman.

"Listen, there is no time! The Shogun is dying, you have to help her!" the woman says to me.

"Yashin, take her to the medical room." I say.

"OK Ako." replies Yayan. The woman tries to go off with Yayan to help the Shogun, but I stop her.

"Not you, you and I are going to have a little talk." I say to the woman. I take her to the training area, where I attempt to talk to her.

"Now, I ask you again, who are you?" I ask the woman. I was then met with silence.

"I recognize the colors of your garb, you're from the Yellow Viper ninja clan aren't you?" I ask.

"Yes... I am." she replies.

"I thought the cat had your tounge. What happened to the Shogun?" I ask. Once again, I was met with silence.

"Look, I can't help you if you are not willing to talk to me." I say.

"It is not me that needs your help, it's the Shogun herself." says the woman.

"What are you talking about?" I reply.

"She can tell you herself, when she has recovered." says the woman.

"As for my name, it is Kai Senshu. I am the Shogun's guardian and protector." says the woman.

"Ako, am I correct?" Kai asks me.

"Yes." I reply.

"I really hope you'll forgive me..." Kai says.

"Forgive you for what?" I ask her.

"For this!" Kai then begins to attack me and we engage in an unexpected hand to hand fight, at least for me.
