“Which brings us to your first mission. There are these kingdoms. The Water kingdom. The Fairy kingdom. The Love kingdom. The Fire Kingdom. The Spirit kingdom. The Psychic kingdom. The Ice kingdom. The Plant kingdom. The Lightning kingdom.” Chiyo explained.

“These kingdom each have a curse on it. You lift the curse, we're one step closer to finding out what the Scarlet Despair meant by the spirit in the mirror.” Hinata explained as Izumi looked at Kami and Elinor.

“We need to open a portal to this world. The spell called The Gate of Curses. It's a hard spell but I think you can handle it.” Izumi smiled as they both looked at the spell.

“I guess we can try. Ready Kami?” Elinor asked as Kami and Elinor sat in the lotus position. “Zinthos, Metrion, Azarath.” Kami and Elinor chanted as the room started to fill up with red mist.

Once the mist cleared it appeared me and Jason were in water. Suddenly there was something poking my neck.

“Who are you?” A girl with a green trail and as silver breastplate on. “I'm Charlotte and this is Jason.” I introduced as the mermaid bowed in front of me.

“Charlotte-Sama! I'm so sorry please forgive me. I didn't know you and Jason have came back. I'm sorry.” The mermaid apologized.

“Um… no need really but what are you talking about?” I asked. “Oh Charlotte-Sama I forgot you don't remember anything do you?” She asked as I shook my head.

“Well come on everyone is waiting for you back in Naporia. I'm Rachel by the way.” The new found Rachel introduced.

As we started swimming trough Naporia, I saw something from the corner of my eyes that seemed familiar.

“Steven!?” I asked surprised as the figure turned around to see it was Steven! “Waterfall!” He joked as he hugged me. He always use to call me waterfall when we were kids.

“I haven't seen you in forever! So how's it been?” He asked. “This is Jason. He's my boyfriend.” Charlotte introduced.

“Nice to meet you.” Steven smiled as I smiled back. Something is not right about this guy. I don't want him near Charlotte.

“I can show you around town if you want Charlotte.” Steven suggested as she nodded and walked ahead of me talking to Charlotte.

Suddenly Steven hanged back a little. “So you're with Charlotte, huh?” He asked. “Yep.” I answered as he laughed a little.

“And here I thought she go for someone better. I mean it's sad that she's with a wolf like you. Thinking that she could be with me.” I glared at him as he smirked.

“And why would she want to be with you?” I asked through the skin of my teeth.

“Cause, we've been friends since I we we're 2. And the only reason you're with her is because of a dragon.” Steven answered. “See but there is one thing different about you and me Steven.” I started as I walked up to Charlotte.

“I can do this.” I smirked as I spun Charlotte around and kissed her she then started to kiss back. “Serves him right for trying to take my Charlotte.” I thought as I broke the kiss Charlotte face became red as a tomato.

“W-what was that for?” Charlotte asked as I kissed her forehead. I then brought Charlotte back up and she went up and talk to Rachel.

“See I can do that…. All day long.” I singsonged as Steven scowled at me. “Awe what's wrong? You sad that I can do that with Charlotte and you can't? It's not my fault that Charlotte picked me over you.” I asked.

“Hey Charlotte, I have two tickets for the underwater sea dance tonight? Wanna come?” Steven asked as Charlotte looked back at me. “Sure, I guess.” Charlotte answered.

“Plus while we're gone you can get more research about the curse here.” Charlotte whispered ad nodded. “Okay, just be careful. Something fishy about him.” I warned her as she kissed me in the cheek.

“Don't worry, Jason I will.” She promised me as we continued the tour.

“Jason! Put me down! You are not about to use my watersense to find out about this Steven guy.” Aqua scolded as we ran towards the library.

“Well I have to. Everything about that guy just worries me I don't want him around Charlotte!” I explained as I walked into the library and grabbed tons of books and placed them on the table.

“Ugh! Fine! I'll help you.” Aqua sighed as a bubble if water engulfed the book and the page started flipping through the book.

“Page 281 in the red book. I wouldn't look at it if I were you.” I then grabbed the red book and turned to page 281 and it in my head.

After I finished reading I grabbed the book and ran to the sea dance. I knew he was bad new I just knew it.

“It's been so long since I've seen you Charlotte. I'm glad we can see eachother again.” Steven smiled as he held me closer to his chest.

“Same here. I missed you a lot.” I said back as was walked out to the balcony of the palace. “The stars are so pretty tonight.” I observed.

“Yeah, but not as pretty as you.” Steven complimented as I blushed a little. Suddenly my back was against the wall. What is the doing?

“What are you doing?” I asked but before he could answer he smashed his lips into mine. It felt kinda… nice… really nice actually… what the heck Charlotte!! You have Jason! You're soulmate.

But, why does it feel so right. But it's so wrong but that makes it feel so right.

“Steven… I…. I.” I started but Steven kissed me again making my hands run up my waist. Suddenly something knocked down Steven. It was Jason in his wolf form. “Jason? What are you doing!? Get you hands off him!” I yelled as Jason looked at me surprised.

“I serious Jason get! Get off of him for god sakes what's wrong with you! Why the heck are you attacking my soulmate.” The words rolled off my tongue so easily and I immediately wanted to take them back.

The words echoed through my head like a terrible song on repeat. “What….” I asked not know what else to say. “He's my soulmate. I thought you were but I guess I was wrong. I have Steven now and nothing in my life will make me happier.” She answered.

“My… my… my Charlotte…” I stammered suddenly everything turned red. Just like the red mist in the book.

“Well, well, well looks likes she all mine.” Steven smirked as everything froze and it was only me and him. I looked at Charlotte to see her eyes were lavender not the blue ones I loved.

I could smell his scent all over her. He kissed her. “You kissed her. You kissed my Charlotte! No one dose that.” I growled.

“She dose taste good though. Like strawberries.” He smirked as he played with her dark blue hair.

I couldn't take it anymore I just tackled him and started attacking him.

Like all the pain I ever experienced came back to me. Every day of torture came back. Every day of hurt came back. All the days before I met Charlotte came back.

Once I snapped out if my thoughts I looked down to see the was dead. I ripped him limb from limb. Literally. Yesh, I never knew I could do this much damage when Charlotte life is at stake.

Suddenly everything became unfroze making Charlotte drop to her knees.

I then turned back into a human and placed Charlotte's head on my lap. “Jason? What happened? Are you okay? What happened to Steven? Did we lift the curse? And where is Aqua?” Charlotte asked. “You just asked so many questions in one minute. I'm fine. I kinda killed Steven when he kissed you and my the seems if it the curse on this kingdom is lifted.” I answered as Charlotte smiled at me. I almost lost that smile to Steven.

“Charlotte… you scared me when you said Steven was your soulmate. I thought I was gonna loose you to him. I could lose my soulmate. I couldn't lose you to him. Charlotte you're my light in my darkness. I didn't want to lose my light, everything. Charlotte, I never want to lose you. I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to you yet. I thought I had a 9 years left with you. The idea of having kids with you, being married, just being with you ripped away from me is honestly the scariest thing I've ever experienced.” I confessed as Charlotte kissed me suddenly something fell on Charlotte's stomach. It was a pendant with a water droplet on it.

“What is this?” I asked. “I don't know, but were one step closer to finding out what this red mist it.” I answered as Charlotte smiled at me.
