Nat's POV

It had been a couple of months after Tony's and I weeding and everything was going amazing; I was even scared of that, it was all too good!

That day my husband (still weird to call him that) left early for work and I spent almost all day on the balcony, reading and enjoying California sun.

Suddenly someone rang the bell. Weird, that person should have rang the bell at the gate first.

I put the book on the table and took a knife, hidding it under my shirt.

I slowly walked downstairs and I couldn't say anyone outside the door from the window.

Instead, I heard a cry, a kid cry.

I opened the door carefully and saw a kid standing in front of it: the little girl was probably around five years old and looked a lot like Tony.

Wait: that was Morgan! What was she doing there?!

-Hey hey what are you doing here?! Where is your mum?!- I asked and the girl cried more.

-I want daddy- she said.

-He is at work now- I said and took her in arms -Let's go inside, I'll call him-.

I checked one last time that no one was there and then closed the door.

Tony arrived a few minutes later, he left work as soon as I told him that Morgan was there.

-Hey!- he said hugging her daughter.

-Daddy!- the little girl said crying.

-What are you doing here? Where is mummy?- he asked worried.

Morgan cried even more.

-I don't know, they divided us- she said.
-What do you mean?- I asked.

-I don't know how many days ago... A dark man came at home and mum was scared. They left me with another man and mum went with someone else- she explained -But the man with me was kind, he never hurt me-.

-Oh God- Tony said sighing.

That was a big problem! But if they wanted to threaten Tony then why was Morgan here?

-How did you arrive here?- I asked the little girl.

-The kind man left me here, he said that daddy lives here...- she said.

Poor little girl! I couldn't even imagine how scared she was!

-Can you describe this person?- I asked.

-He was tall... And big... His hair were brown and he always wore a black mask... At first he looked scared because of the metal arm but he was the kindest there- she said.

Tony hugged her, trying to calm her. I knew that person and I couldn't believe that he was still alive... It was all so confused!

A few hours later Morgan finally fell asleep in her bed in one of the guest rooms; Tony called police and everyone was trying to find Pepper.

-I know that man- I said that night, while Tony and I were both about to sleep.

-What? Who is he?- He asked.

-When I was with HYDRA he was my closest friend. And ex... Sorry- I said.
-It's ok, I'll try to not be jealous- he said and I smiled.

-He was trying to not be with them anymore, but when they found out that he was planning escaping they... I was sure they killed him! But it would explain why he saved Morgan...- I said.
Tony nodded: -It would make sense-.

-This is all my fault- I said -They are probably using you to get me-.

-That is not true! I have a lot of enemies as well, it can be anyone!-.

-Was a coincidence that when I talked with SHIELD about my ex bosses that they found out that I wasn't American citizen?- I said almost yelling.

He hugged me, kissing me sweetly.

-This is not your fault- he said -We'll find Pepper and they won't get you-.

Suddenly we heard footsteps from downstairs and we both stood.

Once we arrived downstairs Tony turned on the lights and my mouth fell open.
