Noctis Stella: Training with Annabeth
Stella was still amazed by Camp Half-blood. The place was spectacular. Although most people seemed gloomy in the pale red light coming from the sky.
Stella followed Matt into the Hermes cabin. It was crowded. Every bunk had been filled with kids ranging from 9 to 18 years old.
"Wow, Hermes has been..." she tried to find the right word, "busy."
Matt snickered, "Well he is always busy, but most of the people here aren't his. A lot of kids haven't been claimed lately. Leave it to the gods to break a promise."
"What promise?" she asked.
"You have a lot of catching up to do. A couple years ago this big shot named Percy supposedly saved Olympus, and in return made the gods promise to claim their children as soon as possible," Matt answered.
Stella barely heard a word he was saying. She was too distracted by his features. His dirty blond hair was perfectly combed to the side. His eyes were like little emeralds. The most attractive part to him, she saw, was his chistled jaw line. Shut up! And stop dilly dallying! she scolded herself.
A girl with light brown curly hair, who was reading a book, put it down and got up. She smiled and shook Stella's hand, "Another Newbie! The name's Tiffany, but call me Tiff."
Stella gave Matt a questioning look, "This is my impossibly annoying sister, and the only non ADHD demigod you'll find around here."
Stella ignored Matt. She didn't understand what he was talking about. The girl seem so sweet and friendly. He was just playing his role as a brother.
"She's also the reason why I have spider bites all over my body!" growled some red-headed boy.
"Dude, that's nothing! I still have slime in my hair, from after I said Divergent was just a knock-off of the Hunger Games!" said the other boy who was the spitting image of his supposed brother.
Okay...maybe this girl isn't so sweet, she thought.
"What is this thing?" Tiffany asked.
Stella turned around to see the girl playing around with her drakon rib. How did she even? Oh, Hermes' daughter. Stella noted to keep her belongings close to her from now on, which sadly just included her blade from Tartarus. She quickly snatched it back, "A machete."
Stella heard something like fireworks go off in another cabin outside and screams.
"Well, I see the Ares cabin got my present. I gotta run. Oh, and all the bunks are taken here right now, so you're probably going to have to get a sleeping bag. See ya!" she said before sprinting outside.
"Is it always like this in here?" Stella asked.
"Yeah, but don't worry, Sweetheart - you can have have my bunk, if you don't mind sharing," Matt said with a wink.
"Um..."
"Yes, Matt would love to sleep on the floor tonight. Isn't he amazing?" a girl with blonde hair and grey eyes said from behind her. "Hi, Stella. I'm Annabeth. I've heard a lot about you."
"Yeah, it's not like Nico brings back a girl everyday," snorted the red head with approved giggling from his twin.
Annabeth rolled her eyes, "Ignore the Stolls. Anyway, I'd like to show you around."
"Oh, uh thanks, but Will already did," she said.
Annabeth frowned slightly at this as though she was hurt, "Oh. Well, I guess we could go to the arena and get some sword training, if you'd like."
Stella shrugged, "Why not."
Annabeth told Stella about how she first came to Camp Half-blood, and met her boyfriend, Percy, along the way. Stella could tell she was seriously in love with him. There was a such deep bond between them that, for some reason, Stella could feel it just in Annabeth's presence.
Annabeth grabbed a sword. Stella's eyes widened as she realized it was also made of drakon bone. Then it hit her: "Give Percy and Annabeth a hug for me!" Damasen had said.
She was about to say something about it, when Annabeth suddenly threw some armor to her. "You'll need this."
"Why? You aren't wearing any."
She shrugged, "Your choice. Just trying to help."
Stella wanted to laugh. If only Annabeth knew. Nico had told her not to tell anyone, or they would think she was a freak. "If they ask where you came from, say Texas." Stella had no idea, why she would be from this place called 'Texas', but she had no other option.
Annabeth came in first. She struck as though she was going straight then swung to the right with her sword. Stella knew this trick already - it was the oldest one in the book. She followed Annabeth and counteracted the sword with her blade, and knocked it out of her hands.
"Great job!" she exclaimed picking up her sword.
Stella narrowed her eyes, "You are going easy on me. Aren't you? I've had experience."
Annabeth bit her lip, "Suit yourself."
Annabeth dodged to the left this time with much more speed, she slashed a small cut on Stella side. She ducked Stella's counter and slashed a little cut on Stella's leg.
Okay, so maybe, she underestimated Annabeth. The girl used her blade wisely and with unbelievable skill. Her fighting method was almost flawless.
Still, Stella wasn't to be beaten yet. She countered Annabeth's attacks one by one, now knowing what she was up against. Even using her experience to her advantage, Annabeth was no match for her.
They continued like that for an hour or so. Annabeth would attack, Stella would block her, Annabeth would recover and try again, and so on. Never once did Stella let her guard down.
Finally, Annabeth stepped back with her sword raised towards Stella. Stella waited. She waited for whatever Annabeth had planned to attack with, but she didn't. She just stood there.
"W-what are you waiting for?" she asked confused.
"We've been fighting an hour and a half straight, and you haven't once made a move yourself," Annabeth observed. "It's time you take the offence."
Stella thought about what she had just heard. Offence really wasn't her forte. For as long as she could remember, she had been defending herself. In Tartarus, there was really only one thing that took priority for her: survival.
Stella attacked. She went to the right, and tried to go around Annabeth in order to strike from behind. Annabeth met her sword with hers, forcing Stella to fight to keep her sword in her hands.
This continued for a while. The girls fought hard, but in the end Annabeth would win.
"You're hiding something," Annabeth told her with their swords raised above their heads against each other. "I can tell."
Annabeth swiped her sword to the left and dunked away from Stella's now free one.
"Your skills are almost flawless," she said.
Stella tried to do a side-step, to give Annabeth a slight cut on the arm thinking she was off-guard. Annabeth countered. She grabbed the machete from her hand, and pointed both sword and machete towards Stella's throat.
"...but your offence lacks greatly in skill," she finished. She lowered her sword and handed back the machete, "That's enough for today."
With that, the girl walked towards the exit. Stella was baffled. The girl had read straight through her. She wondered what Annabeth had really been through. From that point on, Stella would always remember: Never ever underestimate the power of Annabeth.
Annabeth stopped in the exit, "You coming?"
Stella shook off what had just happened and followed her into the big house.

(A/N:)
Okay I know this is really short. I had to make this one part cause. A. I put too many details in here. B. I desperately need to change POVs.
356 READS?! WHAAAAT?!! YEAH!!! Thank you all so so much. I'll probably update again today just for you guys.
Did anyone spot me in here? Lol, yeah. I'll give you a hint: I'm a certain child of Hermes. Don't worry that's the only part where I am.
Anyway do I have any Caleo shippers in da house? Yeah! My #1 otp.
Oh...no? Should I brake them up then?
FINE!!! You give me no choice!
I'd also like to add. If anyone is offended with the whole Texas thing, I'm sorry. I really do not intend it to be offensive. It's...well how do you explain the whole machete thing without being from Tartarus? Yeah, I know, but I couldn't think of anything else. If anything you Texans should be flattered!
Until the next update-
Wweeeeeeeeeeee!!! :D
