Queen in Moria
-your pov-
I was sitting at a rock waiting for Gandalf to find the opening words for moria's gate. I hadn't been here before even tho I knew all languages, I couldn't get this one. I then saw Pippin and Merry throwing rocks into the water. It stirred. I stood up and gently stopped Pippin's hand from another trow. "don't disturb the water," I whispered in his ear. Aragorn, beside me, also seemed to have noticed the troubled water. I placed a hand on my sword at my hip, ready to draw it. I then heard a crack. The gate of Moria was open. "good job, Frodo" I heard Gandalf praise the young one. My eyes dint move from the water, but I moved to the gate. All I could see inside was darkness.
Then when Gandalf lit his staff, I could see corpses littering the floor. In all, it was sickening. "this is no mine; it's a tomb," Boromir said and drew his sword. I followed suit, and before we knew it, a creature had picked up Frodo and now dangled him over the surface of the water. My pricing instincts immediately kicked in, and I rushed forward and swayed my sword. Fortunately, it cut off the tentacle holding Frodo, and the creature gave out a cry of agony and retreated his offcutted tensile before springing out four more.
«To the mines!" Boromir shouted, and we all rushed tit the mines. Legolas waited outside, a bit of shooting arrows at the beast. "C'mon, Legolas," I said, and he ran in behind me. The squid charged at the gate, breaking it in the process, catching us inside with no light. Or so I thought. Shortly after, Gandalf belied gently on q Crystal in his wand, and it lit up our faces.
"Looks like we have no other choice. We must face the long darkness of Moria. Be on your guard; there are more fouler and older things than orcs in the deep darkness of the world." So Gandalf says as we all start a journey thru the mines. I was most beside Frodo. But from time to time, I would walk beside Aragorn or Legolas. It was mostly quiet other than Pippin and merry asking me more bout being the queen of Lands beyond.
I answered them as well as I could. "So what're your parents like, or was they?" Pippin asked. Merry hit him gently on the arm, and I just signed. "They were the best. My mother consistently tutored me about other lands and cultures. She taught me what I can of middle earth and how to feel after good souls that would come for aid in our kingdom. My father was our king. He was a strong man with the willpower to match a dragon.
He would always go round in nice clothes or just his hunt king clothes. But all the love and peace were disturbed. Disturbed by the thing you call greed. Another king or a lord from another kingdom came to us and asked about our jewels, gold. But we would not give it to him, for he had no good soul and was not worthy. It angers him, and soon it is war. I survived but not my parents and family.
Our people got wiped out, but some still believe that we will får north, where the dragons stay. I am the only one in my family left, so I got crowned queen when the war was made. After that, I never forgot. But my heart forgave. That is all I can tell you, Pip." I sighed and stayed quiet for the rest of the time. Pippin didn't ask any more questions. I could feel something terrible soon was about to happen.
Gimli then saw something in a chamber. We all followed him. In the middle of the room was placed a stone tomb. I cringed. The smell of death was all over the place. Gandalf started then to read the runes on the grave. "Here lies Balin, son of Fundin. Lord of Moria. So he's dead then, just as I feared" Gandalf looked aorund and saw an old book in the hand of a skeleton. He gently prayed of the hand and started reading the book.
I moved closer to Aragorn. "We can't stay here. Something bad is going not happen," I whispered in his ear. He nodded but said nothing. Gandalf continued to read the book. "They're coming. Drums in the deep. They're comings. We can't get out..." he was quiet, listing after sounds. There was a sudden sound of something falling. We all whipped our heads towards where pippin stood.
He had pushed a skeleton of the well, and it had a bucket of iron. It made a lot of echo thru the mines. Gandalf got an angry expression and took his staff and hat back from Pippin. "Fool of a Took! Throw yourself in next time, be rid of your stupidity!" He boomed. Pippin looked ashamed. My ears then picked it up. Drums. Drums in the deep.
