"ADRIEN!" The assistant shouted completely scaring both Agreste men since they never in a million years would've expected Nathalie to lose her temper this bad "THAT WAS NOT NICE AT ALL! APOLOGIZE TO YOUR FATHER IMMEDIATELY!!"

"No-no." Gabriel interrupted placing a hand on her shoulder, and by that attempting to calm down the fuming woman "He is right, I am to blame for your injury."

"What?!?! No you are not sir! Don't be ridiculous! It was my fault that I couldn't pay a-and-"

"-I was the one who didn't give you enough money." The designer cut her off with a lie. "...Therefore I basically caused you to get into this messy situation. And Adrien is even more right about the other things. I really should give you a room here so you can sleep well and not rush into work every morning."

"But sir-...this is all completely unnecessary! I am seriously fine and neither of you should worry! Adrien I just got a little bit hit but the fight was quickly resolved!"

Nathalie said that in a very convincing tone, however, the teenager believed none of this.
Instead he knew that there was something else which caused his basically mother to appear so hurt, but the adults just wouldn't tell him.

So without being able to get any more information Adrien sighed hopelessly and then left, leaving the two work partners shocked but rather relieved that the child was out of the room now.

"Nathalie you shouldn't have, you really shouldn't have covered for me. You could've told Adrien the simple and harsh truth that I'm simply cruel b-but instead you-"

"-lied." She finished his sentence "Yes I know. I did it on purpose you know. I wouldn't have wanted him to hate you more than he already does, and no offense but that's the truth."

"Yeah I know, and thank you for that. You really saved me, once again."

"Please, most times when we're Hawk Moth and Mayura, then you're the one to save me. So this was just returning the kindness you've shown me." The assistant smiled but her boss shook his head vigorously whilst he grabbed onto her shoulders all of a sudden and then pulled her a bit closer.
Not too close though.

There was still a painful distance between the two.

"No Nath please don't say that!" He cried "Especially not after I've hurt you so bad! I literally dropped you, two times! Then...t-then I left you in the attic without any help. A-and I don't even have an excuse to use for my horrible attitude-"

"-no!" She interrupted placing a finger over her superior's mouth which greatly shocked the man, nevertheless he got so surprised that this caused him to without an issue shut up. "You needed time alone and I was being annoying, therefore you leaving me in the attic was completely reasonable, thought it was a bit inhumane as well. But it's all fine.
I'm still living after all."

"Oh Nathalie you're too selfless. Seriously. I could do such things to you which would basically be considered torture and you'd still find a way to make my actions 'reasonable' and 'understandable'."

"I would sir, because that is my job. I cover up all your crimes and hide the evidence. Isn't that right?"

"Y-yes...t-thank you. I wouldn't know what to do without you. In fact I don't even know what I'll do after you're gone."

The assistant stopped him there.
She placed a hand on his chest and then repeated:

"After I'm gone?"

She said in a questioning tone, causing her boss to feel even more sad than he already was.

"Y-yeah you know...l-like once I've made the wish and Emilie is back."

"R-right." She remembered "I almost forgot..."

Now the young woman looked away to hide her tears but her superior could clearly sense that they were there.

And he knew damn well that he was the cause of them.

"I'm sorry, I wouldn't want to take away your fun. You're so young and have much more to enjoy. B-but here I am ending it all." Gabriel sighed "I sincerely hope there's another way around this whole miraculous wish thing and I won't have to kill you. Because even if I would really want to...I most likely couldn't."

"Please sir, what fun? What more do I have to enjoy? I dedicated my life to being your sacrifice, so don't pity me."

"No Nathalie don't say that! You have plenty to enjoy. Like finding love and-"

"Finding love?" She cut him of with a sudden laugh that completely surprised the grey haired man "You must be joking sir. My last name quite literally stands for 'heartless', and the only person who ever made me feel some type of way most definitely won't ever give me a chance."

"Lies." Gabriel said quickly and quietly, earning an arrogant gasp from his worker who then asked:

"Pardon?!?!"

She looked at the designer dead in the eyes, making the man feel a bit nervous like never before, in fact this nervousness was so new to the grey haired man that he didn't even know that his assistant could make him feel such a strange way, but with a little bit of confidence Gabriel managed to mumble:

"Lies Nathalie lies! You have great potentials and I'm sure if you go for it the person you like will love you back!"

"No he won't!" She spat aggressively "He won't!!"

"He will!" Her boss argued on "Trust me! Give it a chance, tell him your true feelings and I bet that man will instantly fall for you Nath!"

"But sir-"

"Give it a chance!" He cut her off again "Please go tell him you love him! Please, do it for me, I want to see you happy."

And by saying such a sweet yet risky sentence Nathalie sighed.

She looked to her side multiple times to try and hide that awkward blush she had on, but after realizing it wouldn't go away the assistant looked straight up, and directly into her superior's eyes.

With this fierce eye contact the young woman had her boss totally confused, nevertheless she still leaned closer and grabbed the man by his shoulders.

"Sir, I love you."
Was the only thing she said before earning a very high pitched scream from Gabriel:

"WHAT?!?!" He screeched not knowing what to do next.

Never in a million years would've he thought that he was that special someone to Nathalie.
(Tough it was pretty obvious.)

"You told me to give it a chance" the dark haired woman explained "after all he will fall for me, right? You told me so yourself."

"I-...well I didn't think it would be m-me-..."
