Chapter 28 | Welcome To The Family
[Chapter 28 | Welcome To The Family]
Honey sat with Mori on the couch, kicking his legs as he held Usa-chan close to his chest. "... I can't believe Kyo-chan's gone." He mumbled. Mori simply nodded his head to his words.
They were still at Kyoya's home. Kaoru took the phone away from his ear. "Yukimura's not picking up." He said.
Jun looked to him then away. "This is beyond childish." She said. "Yoshio is such a child." She crossed her arms under her breasts, frowning.
They didn't know what to do. Go after him? There was no way Jun's family would allow that...no way in hell.
Tamaki sighed. "... Jun." He looked to her and she looked up to her. "What do you think Kyoya's thinking right now?" Jun stared at him for a few moments then away.
"...I don't know." Jun sighed, glancing away.
Kyoya, what are you thinking right now? Why did you allow this to happen?
Usually it's the man chasing after the woman but this was the opposite. Jun would have to chase after Kyoya yet again. Roles were reversed.
Hikaru sighed and leaned on the wall. "I'm at a loss." He said. "None of us know what to do, huh?"
If only they could go back to simpler, less serious times. Times where Jun was still in Ouran as a boy, having girls swoon over her. Having girls laugh and smile.
That was a much easier time.
A teenager in love, it's supposed to be much simpler but then again, this was Ouran. Ouran was filled with men and women who weren't exactly Mr and Mrs . Simple.
The front door that they closed suddenly opened and they all looked to the door at the same time. Walking in was Fuyumi and Akito. Jun rose a brow. "Hm?"
"Oh...?" Fuyumi paused, looking at the host club then to Jun finally. She looked to Akito before looking back to Jun, walking over to her. "You're Jun, yes?"
"Yes?"
"Oh!" Fuyumi smiled wide, hugging her tight. "I'm so happy to finally meet you!" She squeezed her. Jun awkwardly stood there as she hugged her. She pulled away after a moment, looking up at her with furrowed brows.
"Um..." Jun didn't know what to say.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Fuyumi apologized. "My name is Fuyumi. I'm Kyoya's elder sister." She signaled to Akito. "That's one of Kyoya's older brothers, Akito." Akito didn't look amused. He just gave a lazy wave.
"Oh. Nice to meet you..." Jun blinked. "I thought the Ootori family went away? All of you?"
"We didn't." Fuyumi said, smiling. "I know everything that's been happening...I want to help." She took Jun's hands, clasping them with hers. "We're sisters."
"Calm down, Fuyumi. She's not his wife or anything." Akito frown.
"Yet." Fuyumi smiled, putting her hands away. She looked to her brother then to Jun. "Jun... What are you going to do about Kyoya?"
"...I don't know. My family won't let me go that far." Jun explained.
"They don't have to know." Fuyumi smiled.
"We can't just take her!" Akito exclaimed.
"Be quiet, Akito!"
They seemed to be a little childish, which wasn't like Kyoya at all. She was starting to wonder if they were related after all. Kyoya was certainly Yoshio's son, they were almost alike except Kyoya was more caring and had love in him. The family was certainly weird.
Kaoru leaned in to her. "Welcome to the family." He said jokingly.
She shook her head at him then looked to Fuyumi. "I just need time to think, okay?" Jun said.
"Alright...that's understandable." Fuyumi nodded.
"Jun, we'll take you home." Tamaki said, getting up. "We shouldn't stay here."
"Alright." Jun looked to Fuyumi and Akito. "It was nice to meet you." She said.
"You too." Fuyumi smiled wide at her while Akito just nodded.
Tamaki put an arm around Jun and after everyone said their goodbyes, they left the house.
In the car, Kaoru sat next to Jun who was staring out the window aimlessly. "..." He put an arm around her and brought her in close, hugging her. "It'll be okay." He said gently.
Jun blinked in surprise. She leaned on him. "Thanks, Kaoru..."
Kaoru stared down at her, heart thumping then forward. "No problem."
"So will we just wait and see...?" Hikaru spoke up. "We won't go after him?"
"I don't think we can go after him..." Honey cutely said, a sad expression on his face. "Kyo-chan..."
Tamaki sighed at that. He wished he could do something...maybe...he could go over there and take Kyoya back? He didn't know...He badly wanted to help Jun but... he was at a loss.
[The flight to France]
"This is unforgivable." Kyoya said to his father, a dark expression on his face. "You're putting her through too much. She's just a teenager."
"I'm doing this for the both of you." Yoshio said, expression stern.
"What does that mean?" Kyoya questioned. It was strange to stand up to his father but this was a new time. This was for someone he cared about.
"You'll see soon." Yoshio looked away.
[In Japan]
The host club stopped at Jun's home. "Are you sure you don't want us to stay with you?" Kaoru asked Jun as she opened up the car door.
"I'm sure. I'm really fine, Kaoru." Jun said. "Don't worry about me, okay?"
"...Alright. Call me later though, alright?" Kaoru said.
"Alright." Jun got out of the car. "See you guys." She closed the door and walked to her house, opening up the door and walking inside, closing it behind her.
"Jun! You're back." Her mother walked over to her. "Is everything alright?"
Jun nodded. "Yeah...It's fine."
"Some people came for you." She gave Jun the card that had Fuyumi's and Akito's names and phone numbers on it.
Jun examined the card. "Okay, thanks." She said. "I think I'm going to go rest."
"Alright..."Her mother softly spoke. Jun nodded at her before walking off to her room with the card in her hand. She went into her room, closing the door behind her.
"..."Jun looked to the card in her hand. She furrowed her brows. She took out her phone. "A last test, huh?" She muttered to herself.
This would be yet another test she would pass.
She dialed Fuyumi's number. Fuyumi answered. "Hello?"
"Hey, it's me."Jun said. It was a spur of the moment thing but...she knew this was the right thing to do.
"Oh! Jun? What do you want?" Fuyumi asked.
"...My family doesn't have to know, right?" Jun spoke.
There was a silence for few seconds before Fuyumi spoke up. "They don't have to know this." She said. "They'll just know you're staying over at Kyoya's for a few days."
"Alright. When will I leave for Kyoya's home then?" Jun said.
"We can pick you up tomorrow afternoon." She said, smiling a little. "...Everything will turn out just fine, Jun." She said. "I assure you."
Jun nodded. "Thank you."
[Back with the host club]
"We should go." Hikaru said. "We should go and bring Kyoya back. Just because Jun can't go doesn't mean we can't." He pointed out.
"Jun will be very angry if we go without her!" Tamaki exclaimed, honestly a little scared at the thought.
"She'll be even more angry if Kyoya doesn't come back." Hikaru frown.
"...I think Yukimura's with them too." Kaoru then spoke, looking down.
"Hm? Well then can't she do something?" Hikaru asked.
"I think if she could, she would of already." Kaoru sighed. He leaned his face on the window of the car, looking out of it. Now that he was without Yukimura too...he felt a little...what's the word? Empty? I mean, his feelings for her aren't as strong as her feelings for him and his feelings for Jun still lingers.
Ah, he didn't know what to do.
"I think we should go." Honey said. Mori nodded his head in agreement, as blank faced as ever. "I think... Jun-chan will be very happy if we get him back." He smiled cutely. Flowers practically popped around his head.
They looked at the boy lolita then they all seemed to exchange glances.
"We should speak to her about it first, okay? But before that let's sleep on it." Kaoru said.
"Alright." Hikaru said, nodding his head.
"Sounds good to me." Tamaki nodded his head.
And so, they all got dropped off at their homes and slept on it.
They hoped for the best in the coming days... not only for Kyoya but for themselves and Jun too.
[Back at Jun's home]
Kyo leaned on the door, listening into the conversation. "..." He frowned. 'What the hell is going on?' He thought. He wanted to just barge in and ask but he knew that wouldn't amount to much good.
It sounded like trouble.
He wanted to help.
He wanted to do something.
He couldn't just stand there, could he?
[Well, welcome to the family Jun. Don't worry everyone, a happy ending is not to far away.]
