Chapter 16 | Emotion Confusion

[Chapter 16 | Emotion Confusion]

"So you actually just wanted to spend time with her, is that right?" Hikaru snickered, looking at his brother as they walked in the school hallways. "That's why you invited her?"

"...Maybe." Kaoru grinned. Hikaru nudged him playfully. "Hahah... I don't know I just.. I really like her. I mean, before I knew she was a girl I was drawn to her in a friend way because she was...interesting but now that I know she's a girl those feelings just went up and now they're romantic. She's more mature than other girls and funny too..."

Hikaru smirk at his brother. "Cheesy." He teased. He glance down the hall as he heard a familiar voice. He saw Jun walking at the end of the hall. "There she is. Go ask her out on a real date!"

"What? Now?"

"Yes now." Hikaru grinned. "Go do-" He cut himself off as he saw Jun stop walking and look behind her, waiting for someone. That someone was Kyoya.

Once Kyoya caught up, he walked beside Jun and they walked away together, chatting.

"..." Kaoru watched, his brows furrowed. "Hey, do you think Jun actually...likes Kyoya?"

Hikaru dropped his smile and lean back. "...I don't know." They do get along pretty well, so maybe, is what Hikaru was actually thinking but he wasn't going to say that.

This situation was all too familiar to Hikaru. He liked Haruhi but she and Tamaki got along pretty well, didn't they?

Both the twins are a pair and Kyoya and Tamaki are too, so are Honey and Mori.

Three pairs. They go together perfectly.

Both Haruhi and Jun had someone from two pairs. Hikaru and Tamaki. Kaoru and Kyoya.

"...Hey. Cheer up." Hikaru put a hand on Kaoru's shoulder, giving it a squeeze. "You know..Christmas is near and we always have a big party." He smile. "And honestly...the party is quite romantic."

Kaoru slowly blink then smile.

Jun sat down with Kyoya and the others as they got to the host club, ready to speak about the  Christmas party. When the twins finally arrived, they started to speak.

"This year it'll be amazing!" Tamaki exclaimed. "We'll have dancing and music~"

"All parties have dancing and music." Jun stated. Kyoya smirk while Tamaki just continued to ramble on. As he rambled and the others added in what they think should be in the party, Jun's phone buzzed.

She took it out of her pocket and looked at it. A text from an unknown number.

'Take the money.'

Jun's eyes widened. 'What the hell?' She thought. She looked up at everyone and saw they were busy talking, so she quickly replied to the stranger.'Who are you?' She sent then looked back up to the hosts, listening to them.

Minutes later there was still no reply.

Jun sigh softly and look back down to her phone.'...Who are you?' She thought.'What do you want?'

It didn't take long for the chattering to end, because they needed to plan they didn't have the host club today and of course the girls were sad about that.

Soon it was time to go.

"Come, Jun. I'll take you home." Kyoya said as he got up. Jun looked to him. Suddenly thoughts of them being alone together in the car swirl around in her head and she remembered what she was thinking on the day she went out with Kaoru.

Her cheeks went a light red. "No. I'll take the train." She replied, even though she'd have to wait for it to come back again. Without another word she took her bag and went out, leaving Kyoya standing there in confusion, his brows furrowed.

As she walked out, she pass Kyoya's limo. She glance inside the car and spotted his father waiting in it. She blink in surprise. '...That's...strange.' She thought.

Yoshio looked out the window to her and just stared, his expression as cold as ever. "..."

Jun stare back for a few seconds before looking away and just continuing to walk off.

Kyoya went to the limo and went inside, surprised to see his father inside it. "Father?"

"Kyoya." Yoshio nodded. He glance out the window. "Your commoner friend isn't coming today?"

Kyoya didn't question how he knew that. "No. He wanted to take the train."

"You mean she, don't you?" He spoke up. "I know Jun is a female. Her situation is like Haruhi's." He then looked to his son. "Kyoya. Don't get caught up with her."

He stared at his father with a neutral expression though he held sadness in his eyes. "I won't." was his reply. He always did what his father said, but this time he didn't understand it.

Don't get caught up with her? What did that mean? Don't get distracted by her? Don't let his studies fall be cause of her? For once in his life Kyoya had no clue.

It was true that Kyoya held feelings for her although he denied it.

That smile of hers, the way she spoke and the things she said...

No, Kyoya inwardly shook his head when thinking of that. He closed the door and strapped himself in. The car started to move.

There was no merit in liking Jun. He had to get along with her for the sake of the host club but he didn't have to date her for the sake of his host club and before the host club, his family comes and there's no relation with his family and Jun or Jun's family.

So what to do?

Kaoru walk beside his brother out of the host club, just staring forward as he thought of Jun. She was fond of Kyoya, wasn't she...but was Kyoya fond of her? He didn't see Kyoya as the dating type no matter how hard he tried.

He needed to spend time with her. Maybe this crush could develop into something bigger like love...but that's too much to hope for now.

He wondered, what to do?

What to do.

Jun got to the train station and sat down on a bench, prepared to wait for the train to come back and take her home. 'Why was Kyoya's father there?' She wondered. She also wondered what that cold stare was that she got from him.

'Is he the stranger who sent me money?' Jun suddenly thought then she shook her head. 'No. That's stupid. I have no relation with him and I've only met him once. He seems like a cold person, I'm sure he stares like that at everyone.'

It couldn't be him.

A sigh escaped her pink lips. She stare up to the sky. Onto another subject...she was getting flustered around Kyoya. 'I'm probably developing a crush. This isn't good.' She thought. There was no way they could be together.

Kyoya too was calm, collected and mature...he didn't seem like the dating type. If anything he just seemed like the type for marriage, but like, set marriage. Him marrying another rich girl who's family would benefit his.

It was stupid to avoid being alone with him for today, even if she wasn't going to be alone because his father would be there for some strange reason, but she didn't know that.

She couldn't avoid being alone with him forever, or well, for the time this little crush (or developing crush) continues.

Jun was mature, she would handle it maturely...

She nodded her head and tried to get those thoughts out of it but they didn't leave her head and if anything, she only gained more thoughts.

Yes..maturely.

That seemed impossible now.

She looked to her phone as it buzzed.

'Are you okay?' A text from Kyoya. Her heart skipped a beat at that. Caring..

Jun smile slightly. 'I'm fine.' She replied. 'Thank you.'

Yes...she definitely liked Kyoya romantically.

No doubt in her mind now.

[ I hope this happiness lasts.]
