The next day was resting day. That meant we had a day break of chores so I decided to go back to the small door.
On my way over, I was looking for it, but I couldn't find it. It couldn't have disappeared!! I looked everywhere but I couldn't find it. That's weird. Maybe it's apart of the magic.
I went back to our shack, and saw the door. I ran over there without taking my eyes off it! I took a deep breath before open the door. As I turn the doorknob, I realize that it was locked.
The key must be somewhere in the forest!
I decided to go exploring the forest behind the door. I looked everywhere but couldn't find the key until I saw a vine. It looked different than any of the other grapevines I've seen so I walked over to it. Maybe the key was dangling from the bottom of the vine!
I walked over to the vine but there was nothing there. I decided to climb it. Half way up,I noticed something shiny, maybe from the suns glare.
I swung my vine towards it. I let go of the vine and jumped. I almost didn't make it. I was hanging from a very weak branch and I climbed myself up and tried to balance myself. Good thing there was a lake underneath! I jumped to get the key and held onto it as I fell into the lake. Ha ha I got it! I felt so accomplished. I went back to the door but it was gone again. Come on! You've got to be kidding me.
Then I spotted it. I went over to the door.
It's now or never. I thought. You got this.
I stuck the key in the lock and heard a click.
