Temple of Eros

I walked back to the temple after training. I had to take a breather and drink something after my training session. I stumbled upon one of the older priestesses, older as in around thirty. Most of them after going past fourties will drop the priestess duties and stay at home with their husband and children. Something that is approved by Eros herself.

Ria : Oh, (Y/N) I didn't notice you.

(Y/N) : I'm sorry, still in thought after training.

Ria : Such a diligent young man~! If I only wasn't blessed with my beloved already I'd belive that you're are mine to be!

She giggled at my blushing face while she support her large stomache. It's her fourth child and I don't think she has any intentions of stopping anytime soon.

Ria : But still you are forgetting something despite overthinking many things.

(Y/N) : And that is it?

Ria : Your own love, silly! You're sworn to Eros and part of the promise to goddess is to follow her teachings of love!

(Y/N) : I, uhh, I still haven't met the right one...

Ria : Alright then~! I'll pray for you to find the one who will make your heart flutter!

(Y/N) : Thank you, Ria. Anyway, I have to go!

I left as if in hurry. Well, I kinda was. I didn't want to hear her talking about the sensitive topic which is actually finding the perfect girl for myself. I heard her laughing, easily seeing right throught me. I groaned but entered the kitchen when I saw a few priestesses along with a few of Eros' followers preparing food.

I walked throught the group of chatting women but at some point I felt one of them run a finger along my jawline I speed up my pace getting them to giggle among themselves. The culprit was no other than Chloe, the young priestess who set her eyes on me from the very start. The most straightforward of priestesses. She also has a sister but I don't see her anywhere around... When I looked back at her she sent me a wink and smirked.

I've reached the further part of the kitchen and got some drinking water. I drink down at least 3-4 glasses just to quench my thirst. I put the glass on the counter and then a smooth hand touched mine. I quickly turned to look at another one of the older priestesses she smiled foundly at me before taking the glass to clean it. I left the kitchen to avoid any further embarrassment.

I walked to the main part of the temple and took a few sharp turns to reach a large staue of goddess with many flowers and gifts lying around it. Some left by women or men who search for love or in order to thank goddess for finding their significent other. The temple is open to all in the end so it's not rare to find a monster girl also praying and bringing gifts for Eros.

One of the funniest events at the temple was when a nearby minotaur decided to find the best husband for herself. She was coming back to the temple with random man every two-three hours and asking praying to Eros and asking if they're the right one. Priestesses were actually betting on how many guys she'll bring per day. The highest number was thirty...

With a small smile I kneeled before the Eros' statue and started to pray to her. I felt lightheaded and when I opened my eyes again I was in a garden filled with diffrent types of flowers. A bit further was a fountain on which sat the most beautiful woman I've seen in my life. Her clothes barely covered her perfect body as she smiled at me and waved for me to come towards her.

Eros : Welcome to my gardens, young (Y/N).

(Y/N) : Woah... This is... so much to take in.

Eros : It's alright, (Y/N), relax~

She said while pulling me easily next to her on the fountaine's barrier. She pulled my head on her laps and started to stroke my hair as I laid there. Her laps so soft and her delicate petting bringing me in a state of complete bliss.

Eros : I'm choosing you, young knight. I want you to go and spread my word.

(Y/N) : But there is so many people better than me...

Eros : You cannot think of yourself like that. The love of your life would not like that~

(Y/N) : Who-

Eros : Won't tell~! Hehe~

Her melodic laugh stirred something in me causing me to grin as she continue to stroke my hair. Soon she calmed down a bit and leaned close to my face.

Eros : I want you to go to find her. Not because you are the strongest or the the most handsome or any other diffrent reason.

(Y/N) : But how?!

Eros : You shall travel the lands and spread my word. If I'll see the true and deep devotion in your actions I will award you by showing you, your true love... Unless you will understand it while you're traveling~

(Y/N) : I will do it!

Eros : I do not doubt you, young (Y/N)~ Now, it's time to wake up~

She leaned close to me and kissed my cheek. Before I knew it I was once again in the temple on my knees, yet the feeling of her kiss and strokes against my head didn't disappear when I woke back up. I went to the high priestess and started to prepare for my adventure. Filling my bag with all necessary things, until someone barged into my room.

Iris : High priestess told me everything! I'll be ready in a second!

Before I could even turn to respond to my sister she was already gone, most probably already in her room packing whatever she'll find useful. Just as I finished and head for the gate I was stopped by my old instructor who told me to be careful. Then I was stopped by one of the priestess who gave me more food. Then by a little girl with whom I spent a lot of time, since she was interested in being a knight. She hugged me and told me her goodbyes with tears in eyes.

Iris : Okay, I'm here... You really didn't have to leave me behind.

My sister pouted but I turned to her with a smile.

(Y/N) : I knew you'd catch up, you're my sister after all!

Iris : I'm ready for road ahead so let's go! By Eros we'll find you a wife!

(Y/N) : That sounds so pathethic when you say it like that...

Iris : I'm sorry, big brother!
