Chapter 7 : Damothalon History

Mr Titus kept talking and talking that I found my eyes start to water from all that listening. It was starting to make me bored every minute he kept talking. I tried searching for a handkerchief and it was then I realised that I didn't have one nor did I bring one. Next time, to Mr Titus's lessons, I should bring one. Before my eyes could go back to staring at all the classic handwriting on the huge book before me, a nice little white floral handkerchief appeared before me. I turned to find Rose smiling at me while pushing up her glasses. She pointed to the handkerchief with her eyes as I smiled back and nodded to express my thanks.

I quickly wiped my eyes with the handkerchief that gave out a sweet lemon scent. It was somewhat really calming and made me feel refreshed. I turned towards Rose again but she was busy following what was written in the book. It was really surprising that she had this effect on me. It reminded me of how I was back in the day in school. No one really cares about me if you take Aoi out of the picture. Aoi is a different case and is partly my brother so, if he wasn't around, I'd be that kid the whole school popularity wouldn't want to engage with. Meeting someone like Rose here made me feel how friends should be.

With a smile, I went back to the book. It turned out that, long before this island was in small pieces. It was spread out by a huge explosion. To which, it sounded to me like a volcanic eruption. This main island that was situated in the middle had special soil. Soil that made nature a lot different than what we usually see back at home. More importantly, this magical world is separated from the Earth. This was more an invisible world next to Earth, where immortals could pass through. This is what they called the invisible line that separates these two worlds. This is called Damothalon. Not Earth, but the invisible world.

At that time, only one person had the power; Queen Rina. Her background story was all in a mix that kind of felt mysterious and confusing to me. Her extremely wonderful power was all a blank in my head. Here in the book it was mentioned she had immense powers that no one could surpass her powers but, there was nothing about what they were. Probably she didn't want to find them out as that could be her weakness if a villain ever wanted her powers for destruction. This took me back to the time that evil thing said to me. That thing was after me. Why?

The more I kept thinking about that incident and about what Queen Rina said to me, that I wasn't supposed to attend this school here. Only Aoi was expected to arrive. Not me. As I started to read more about the book, I came across the same woman that I saw in one of the hallways. The red hair and the amazing beauty. She had a resemblance to me. Before I could read any further, someone in the back of the class suddenly raised their hand and spoke up the question that I had in my mind for a pretty long time.

"Excuse me Mr Titus, but who is this woman with red hair?" A boy with brown curly hair asked. Looking at his outfit, he was from Zenith.

"Nate, that is someone we do not speak of at the moment by the Queen's orders. But, I will only tell you this. Her name is Althenea. She's actually the younger sister of our lovely Queen and we do not speak of her because she's lost somewhere and we do not know. She's a lost princess. Hope this answers your question. Now sit down Nate." Mr Titus answers with a bit of sadness in his tone as he had his eyes on the book. There was some spark in his eyes as that of how a lover would look at his partner.

The more I stared at Mr Titus, a smile crossed over my face to how he had this kind of side to him. Well, he wasn't as bad as Mr Isaac who was pretty strict but, Mr Titus had a softer heart in that strict appearance of his. I kind of like Mr Titus better than Mr Isaac. If Mr Isaac heard this, he'd be heartbroken. I'm his best student after all.

My eyes fell on the book again. As I kept on reading, the Zuke was created by Althenea and the rest was created by the Queen. This was all that was mentioned in the book. There was nothing more about her. Even what Mr Titus told us about her wasn't in the book. Well, it was mentioned she was lost but that's all. This made me curious as she had appeared in my visions countless times and these visions, which were actually nightmares from when I was small, seem to be appearing many times in my mind now. Back then, when I complained about bad headaches to Aoi's parents they wanted me to get me consulted by a doctor and according to the doctor, there was no issue in my brain. But, why do these visions appear? Looks like I won't be able to sleep well at night today.

I shook my head and went on to the next. It was about the Six Categories of The Z. The spiritualists were Zuke, the earth users were Zenith, the fire users were Zen, the water users were Zion, the ice users- which Aoi was in, was Zapphire and last of all the air users were Zafura. So they were basically the six elements. It's very rare for anyone to have two, three or four of these elements together. To the maximum amount of any of these elements a person holds is where they belong.

Just as we finished reading, our books automatically closed. All the students seemed to sigh with relief after the books closed. There were so many 'oh's and 'finally' around us that I even stretched my arms as I had been sitting on the bench for too long.

"That was some intense history to be put in our heads." Aoi exclaimed with a sigh of relief, cracking his neck and stretching his arms.

"I liked the lesson. Was a little boring but I loved it." I answered, staring at the book in front of me with a smile.

"Me too!" Rose exclaimed with a wide smile.

"What?! Are you two even human?" Aoi exclaimed with disbelief and shock.

Me and Rose giggled. "You should expect that from us bookworms. It's nothing to be surprised about, Aoi. Unlike you, I score the best in every history lesson." I answered with a smug look on my face with my hands crossed.

"Show off! Wait till another subject! I will show you I am better than you!" Aoi exclaimed with confidence and a wide smile.

"Sure, go on right ahead. I will just have to not lose to you." I smirked while crossing my arms over my chest.

Our conversation was cut off when I watched Xin and Luca walk up to us as Mr Titus grabbed all his stuff and left the room in silence and in a hurry. I wonder why he left the room in a hurry. I shrugged my shoulders. Key walked up to Aoi too. All of us just looked at them in confusion. When I looked around, all the other spirit guides that had been standing in a line around the room, started walking up to their partners. You could say, we are more like their masters. But, as my eyes were glued on Luca, I was reminded about what he told me before class started when I was practising to use my necklace. My hands automatically held on to my necklace and when I looked down at it, I saw a glimpse of Althenea dancing with her hair bouncing as she moved around.

My trance was broken when I felt Luca pat me on the shoulder. I shook my head and looked up at Luca. He suddenly had that genuine smile on his face that from the corner of my eyes, I watched Aoi stare from me to Luca intensely with his arms crossed. What a typical brother. He sure can be annoying and a frustrating pain in the butt, but when it comes to me being around guys, he'd turn into a complete overprotective brother.

"It's dinner time. We all should probably get to the dinning hall." Xin addressed, checking the time on an old clock that he pulled out from inside his coat.

Luca suddenly turned towards Rose. "Rose, mother wants us both in her quarters."

This time, Aoi and I looked all shocked from Luca to Rose. Who knew Rose would actually be Luca's sister? This was definitely a nice surprise.

"Okay, big brother." Rose answered with a smile as she stood up to leave.

"BROTHER?!" Me and Aoi exclaimed in unison.

"Yes, we are siblings." Rose turned towards us and answered with a soft voice as she put her glasses up her nose again.

Luca suddenly turned towards me and gave me that genuine smile of his. I actually had millions of questions to ask him but they seemed to have been called by their mother so they had to leave. That means, I should find a time where it would be just Luca and me to ask all the questions that I have in mind.

"Until me and Rose come back, Xin and Key will look after you two. So, be good little kids okay?" Luca suddenly patted my head with a smug look on his face.

I realised what he did. "I am not a baby! I don't need anyone to babysit me!" I exclaimed in annoyance and anger when I heard everyone laugh, including Aoi.

"She sure is a baby sister. Even I had to look after her during school days when our parents weren't home." Aoi answered, laughing hysterically, almost falling over the bench.

"Shut up you monkey!" I exclaimed in anger as I stood up and kicked Aoi's leg.

He winces in pain while still laughing at me. Just as I was about to explode, Luca started to pat my head.

"There there now Ruby, be a good girl now and let them take care of you while I'm gone." Luca answered with that same cunning smile of his as he patted my head.

"Why you! Take your dirty hands off of my head!" I exclaimed in anger, removing Luca's hand off of my head.

No one said anything after that as everyone just broke into fits of laughter. Luca is done for when he comes back. As he started to leave with Rose, I felt a bit lonely and part of me felt sad as I watched Luca walk away and then suddenly disappear with Rose as a trace of black smoke was left behind. As expected from someone who loves teleporting. But, the sad feeling in my chest never left.

Yes, I am back with another update!
I just felt like updating this book because I think you all deserve this as I had been in a break for too long and haven't updated much. 😂 So, you will now expect constant updates from me. Its only for this book. I have the whole book written down, I am just editing the chapters here and then and publishing chapter by chapter. 🤭

Hope you all loved this chapter though. It got interesting isn't it! If it was boring for you reading the history of Damothalon, well, that's what you call history. I am sorry not sorry if it bore you 😂🤭

Author Kei: What is it now Ruby?

Ruby: Ren Ren thought he was Xin yesterday 😂 Yo Xin!!! Did you hear me? Ren Ren thought you were him!

Xin: Sugar Honey Iced Tea! He's gone bonkers!

Author Kei: Tell me about it! He woke up in the wrong side of the bed that's all!

*Ruby and Author Kei starts laughing hysterically*

Aoi: HEY! YOU ARE THE AUTHOR! I HATE YOU GUYS! LAUGH ALL YOU WANT! IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN! HE'S MY BRO AFTER ALL! WE ALL GET CONFUSED SOMETIMES OK! 😤

Ren Ren: ITS REVENGE FOR TAKING ME TOO LIGHTLY

Ignore him guys. He doesn't exist 😂 let's get back to where we were.
