A loud ring of a bell woke me up. I shot up from bed as I slowly removed the blanket off of me. Realising it was wrapped around my legs, I removed the blanket in annoyance, dropping it into the floor. I wasn't always good at waking up in the morning, especially when it was really early and the sun was nowhere to be seen. Outside, it was still dark. There were a few birds chirping, but it wasn't sunny. How odd it is to find birds chirping at 4:35 in the morning? Staring at the clock on the wall, I just yawned and walked towards the bathroom to get myself cleaned up. To which, I spotted a nice plate with French toast and a glass of milk on my desk.

"When you're done cleaning up, change into the training outfit that I will keep in your bed." A voice behind me startled me just as I opened the bathroom door. Well, it wasn't much of a surprise as I expected this from the time he spent time in my dream. Stalker much!

"Frick! DON'T DO THAT! How many times do I have to tell you to not give me heart attacks like that?!" I clutched my chest that second as I turned around 90 degrees as I found one foot out of balance. But I managed to keep my balance by holding onto the door frame.

He laughed and smirked. "Well, you better hurry. I don't like students being late to my class as well." He put his hands in his black leather pants pockets as he leaned against the wall next to the door.

I gave him a straight face as. "I don't know why I feel so tired even though I was asleep. But, guess what? My brain is tired from all that dreaming. So deal with it." I exclaimed in annoyance as I grabbed my towel and got into the bathroom sending a death glare and an eye roll at him at the same time. He just shrugged his shoulders and sent a grin my way.

After a good warm bath, I came out of the bathroom to find Luca nowhere to be seen. I guess he must have gone as he will be the one teaching combat classes today. Just as my eyes landed on the bed, I found a black sleeveless crop hoodie with black shorts and the trademark black leather combat boots. But these boots had two pockets and belts to hold weapons. In all of these clothes, the letter Z was printed in dark green with the Zuke logo. I put on the clothes and just as I stared at myself in the mirror. It was then I stared at myself. I looked better wearing these and these outfits showed my physique better. With a smile of confidence, I picked up the MINT perfume bottle and sprayed all over me. I wanted to try out these perfumes you know. Can't let them go to waste. Call it perfect timing, Luca showed up in black smoke.

Just as he was about to say something, he slightly sniffed and to my surprise he beamed a wide grin and smirked. "Finally you used them. You don't smell like a dying eel anymore." As he teased me in the end, my blushing face turned into anger.

"Are you telling me that I had been smelling bad all this time? For your information, I'm a clean freak! I do not stink! You're a snake, so you are the one who's supposed to stink!" I threw an angered fist at him as he suddenly caught it with one hand and smirked as he used his teleportation powers.

All I did was blink and stare for a second. My eyes roamed around the huge arena that I quickly let go of my hand and dusted myself like I had dust around me. Luca placed a hand to his mouth as I watched his shoulders shake, realising that he was laughing. My cheeks suddenly started to feel hot as it was then that I caught what he was wearing. His outfit was different from the outfits he had worn from yesterday and the times I had seen him. He was wearing a black sleeveless turtleneck with black leather pants with the usual black leather combat boots. But, the silver chain pentagram necklace was very visible around his neck this time. As he suddenly turned around with an amused grin on his face, it brought me back to reality and realised there were other students gathering around the arena.

As I looked around it was then I realised there were obstacle courses and many pillar-like dummies with poles sticking out of them. Just as I touched the one in front of me, it wobbled a little and twirled around. It was funny as I scoffed out a laugh. A figure suddenly appeared next to me and my mood just skyrocketed out of this whole arena roof. It was none other than Lana herself. Our eyes locked and both of us sent death glares at each other when I found two more figures in front of me. It was Aoi and Key. That was right, we are supposed to use our spiritual names. Ten gave one quick glance at Lana and his blood boiled with rage. If he could legit through lasers out of his eyes, he could have if he had the ability.

"Lana, Lana, Lana, you bitch! Stay away from my sister! You do not want to be next to us as I'm not in a good mood right now at the sight of you! You think you know my sister better but she went through shit and hell for you! Remember that!" Ten exclaimed with boiling rage as he had his hands fisted, ready to beat up anyone that dashed towards him. He stepped in front of me, as he took Lana's spot.

For a second, Lana looked a little confused and scared to Ten's outburst as she just grabbed Bri's arm and walked off to the furthest spot in the arena. Key took the one next to Ten as I realised he was pretty much smiling at Ten's actions right now. I rubbed my eyes for a second to see clearly that Key had something for Ten. I beamed a bright smile as I suddenly grabbed Ten by the arm and pushed him towards my spot as I sent a wide grin at Key with my perfect clean white teeth. He blinked in confusion as Ten shouted at me for my sudden actions.

"Hey! That's my spot!" Ten exclaimed in annoyance.

"Now it's mine! I want this spot as that dummy seems broken a little." I bent over to Ten's side and hit on the dummy making it twirl around 360 degrees. "Yup, it's a little broken."

"No it's not! That's how these things are!" He exclaimed in frustration.

I eyed Ten as usually he never fought with me for stuff. But, he really needed my stop so bad. Looks like Ten and Key have become so close friends that I have seemed to have not noticed this soon. Key smiled at me as I looked at him to speak but, as Luca's voice suddenly echoed throughout the arena, Ten glared at me as I looked at him. I put my tongue out at him as I turned to the front to pay attention to Luca. But, to what Luca suddenly said, Ten gave a smug look at me as he put his tongue out.

"Before we start, Ruby, I need you to come use the front spot here." He pointed to an empty spot in front of him. No one has taken the front spot. "As I'm your spirit guide I could easily teach you and keep an eye on." He beamed an amused grin as he continued.

With an eye roll at Ten, I walked towards the front passing a few students that kept on staring at me. All the students were newcomers to this school. I speeded up my pace as Luca gave me a look that said he didn't have more time to waste and his look was pretty serious. Why does he have this effect on me? This is annoying. I hated it that he had ways to control me. Just when I got to the front, I was kinda excited as Rose was next to me. Okay, I don't hate Luca as his sister was next to me. I think it was a good choice. But, my plan to see the new side to Ten was shattered into tiny little pieces. I knew that Key was having some affection towards Ten. With one glancer at those two, who happened to be talking something funny as they both were laughing, I turned towards the front and looked straight faced at Luca.

He gave a smile as he continued his speech. "I will be in charge of your combat training and to help me, I will have Xin keep a tab of your training including your health status. A balanced health and physique is a must in combat. So, today I will be testing you all to complete a basic level of an obstacle course." He stopped as he walked towards a huge door. He pushed it open to reveal a huge jungle.

The moment the doors opened, the jungle that Luca created appeared in my mind in a flash. Who knew that the jungle of pine trees would be our training. So, Luca had left me a clue in my dreams. Smart, but a sudden fear rushed through my veins, giving me a sudden shiver. My body felt cold too as I suddenly felt a cold breeze brush against my arm. For a second, I looked around to see if any window was open for me to suddenly get a cold breeze coming behind me. There were no windows open. As I looked in front, Luca eyed me like he had sensed something as well.

"Excuse me! But, what do we have to do? Is there a certain goal for this?" A girl raised their hand as she asked this question.

Luca suddenly smiled brightly. "That's a good question. Yes, there is a goal. The moment you step into the jungle, there is no turning back. Your spirit guides will be with you as you complete your practice training. All you have to do is find all the 6 different coloured flags placed around the jungle. The person that finds at least 1 flag will be given two choices to make. The choice you take will decide whether you have finished your training or not. Also, this means no matter who comes across, you can fight to take the flag but no use of powers is allowed." Luca finished off by calmly explaining with his hands behind his back.

My eyes were glued to the jungle in front of me as I knew that this wouldn't be an easy task though Luca said this would be a basic task. It looks like a terrible task as if I happen to catch Ten and Key have a flag, I would have to fight them. Was this a fight for your survival test or something? Are these people insane?! I'm definitely not ready for this. My body is already tensing up and I know I'm not ready.

Hey guys!!! I'm back! Yeah, it took me a while to update this time! Sorry about that.

"Flying On Ice" is my first story with a protagonist being disabled. A story of a deaf girl and a star ice hockey player. But, being deaf doesn't mean you can't do anything. If you work hard for your goal, you can be anything no matter what you have. Yes, my protagonist is gonna be someone like Ludwig Van Beethoven. My protagonist is gonna be a pianist. Aoi aka Ten: Cut cut cut!

Kei : What now?!

Ten: I wanna kill someone!

Kei: 👀 ooookayyyy... Its turning really grim rn

Ruby: Dude! I am fine!

Ten: FINE?! FINE?! I AM NOT FINE! I WANNA BEAT OR BURN LUCA'S MOM ALIVE!

Luca: *burst into a fit of laughter* Yeah, walk to her door, you will be running back 😂

Ten: *rushes towards Luca* Are you doubting me?! I WANT TO...UGH! I WANT TO SAY THE RIGHT WORD BUT ITS NOT COMING!

Kei: Then, go and do it without saying shit. Prove it!!!

Ruby: Yeah! You prove it brother! I need proof, not just words!

Kei: Atta girl! 😌

Ten: OKAY I WILL! I'M OUT THE DOOR!

Luca: *laughs while cleaning his ninja blade with a cloth* You're just still gonna run back dude!

Ruby: Okay, you will be back the minute you leave 😂 *Looks up from reading "Luca Of Zuke"*

Ten: *leaves the room in an instant*

*120 hours later*

Ten: *runs into the room panting*

Ruby, Kei and Luca: So?

Ten: I couldn't... Cause Headmistress Rhiamon called me. So I ended up cleaning the whole library for Headmistress Rhiamon... *Keeps panting and falls to floor out of breath*

*Luca and Ruby burst out laughing*

*Kei laughs and runs to write the rest*

Sorry guys about that. Someone always have to butt in. They are somewhere around here but, I gotta write down.

*Ruby pops in*

Ruby: Still I think this is worse than Hunger Games to me! I wanna kill you Kei!

Kei : *giggles*

What can I do? I'm just a perfect and extraordinary author who thinks out of the box. Don't you guys agree?
